Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato, English TV: Village Hidden in the Leaves" or "Hidden Leaf Village, Literally meaning: Village Hidden by Tree Leaves) is the hidden village of the Land of Fire. As the village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage, of which there have been six 'officially seated' in its history.

Bordered on all sides by the massive Forest of Death, the Hidden Leaf Village is the most well-known and highly regarded of all shinobi nations, primarily due to the wide-variety of skilled ninja who make up it's military forces. The impossible standards and constant scrutiny directed towards Konoha far outstrips what is expected of other villages, and has made its shinobi especially tough and well-rounded.

In a fight, no potential adversary is more troublesome than a shinobi of Konohagakure No Sato - because it's shinobi never fight alone. This drives members of its military forces to become the master of as many skills as possible while valuing teamwork and cooperation as the premier strategies for overcoming obstacles.

It is by this acquisition of specialized skill that a Konohagakure shinobi earns their village-wide epithet, their namesake and shinobi persona. It is advised for those unfamiliar with the rigours of battle to avoid this forest covered conclave of assassins, and to flee its advanced shinobi strike teams on sight.

Despite its shifting geography, the creation of a map, or navigational machine capable of getting accurate information on its size, territories, and most importantly forests and jungles, is considered of priority to the Village as a whole. Independent, experience-based information that can be gathered in support of learning more about The Land of Myth is valuable to The Hidden Leaf.

It is likely foreign Shinobi Nations may attempt to set up strongholds in the Land of Myth. We will set up similar facilities - in the dense forest wildlands that permeate it. If you can significantly increase our ability to succeed in this endeavor, you will be compensated.

Konohagakure shinobi can be especially accommodating or pleasant around Kirigakure shinobi, and can progress the village plot forward significantly through positive interactions with these ninja.

The Village Hidden In The Snow - The Village Hidden in The Snow is considered a nation that Konohagakure is Hostile towards, though no official declarations of war have been made by either side. Konohagakure shinobi can be especially combative or challenging around Yukigakure shinobi, and can progress the village plot forward significantly through negative interactions with these ninja.
