Bloody Moon

Melody hadn't felt this alive in months. As always, she slept the days and during the nights wandered in Otogakure no Sato. Wandered... and what? Nothing, there was nothing to do at the night time, she just walked and played her flute, danced from street to street like a ghost. Sometimes she got the pleasure of meeting another villager - Oh how fun that was! She knew how to make them scream in horror without even touching the victim, it didn't require any special abilities, unless the onse she met was a shinobi too - and lately, most of them had been. It offered her some challenge, but after so many struggling targets the game started to get boring, for she couldn't hurt them, she was known well in her home village, and Melody didn't want back to prison, nor wanted Mr. Bunny, the stuffed toy she dragged with her.
But tonight was time of the full moon, and she was hungry, so hungry for fun that she couldn't resist the temptation. The last full moon night had been cloudy, and the one before it too; For the rice fields this was a good thing, but not for the young woman, she hated the clouds that hid the moon and the stars - During the days, clouds were a good thing, but she had boiled in anger those two wasted nights, the special times when she used to release hersekf had been ruined. Now the hunger had been built inside of her stronger than in years, it was butterflies in her stomach, sharpened senses, the feeling that made her want to giggle and play with sharp objects. It was danger. And she had to let it flush over her, not in the Sound Village of course, she wasn't that stupid. Knowing that this was coming, Melody had started her journey early, and it wouldn't take long to reach her destination, not anymore.
Then, where she was going? To the closest non-sniobi region, Kiba no Kuni. Most likely she wouldn't meet many shinobi there, at least not from her own Village: Finally she'd get to work in peace. Foreign shinobi... Maybe playing with them would give her more amusment than handling simple, normal people, she almost wanted a good fight, or then, something where she could use her brains, a carefull plan to rule the victim to trap... She'd think about it later.
Right now the girl felt like dancing, she had left the rice fields behind her hours ago. Soon she'd reach the destination, the way was familiar to her; This definetly wasn't her first time doing this, but she hadn't been caught, they'd never catch her. A bright giggle escaped from the girl's mouth, and she fastened her steps; That stone, that small tree... Yes, nobody would miss her in Sound, soon she could get rid of her hunger, and play - Such a childish thought, but nobody was there to told her to grow up, they wouldn't dare.
