First post goes to Nyzu.

Upon finding the stadium, Nyzu would slowly look upon the list yet again. Hardly was he able to believe his own teammate was to be his opponent, but that was not of his concern. His dire goal was to fight, and strive, and all that hindered must be set aside. Crumpling the announcement of pairings in his hand, he would descend to the arena. His feet pittering upon the concrete floor, the soft ground would feel fine to touch as he made a step into the light and out of the tunnel.

Not a very large crowd managed to have gathered. Apparently no one found much interest among the mist nin. Chuckling to himself he nodded with delight. Perhaps it was safe to go all out, for his secrets were more than likely safe. Approaching the middle of the field he began to notice several aspects of the battle field. Short grass scattered about the field, leaving one or two small plots of open dirt. The arena itself seemed to be nearly 30 meters in radius rounding out perfectly like a circle. About him were tall stone walls, each perhaps 8 meters high as he estimated from a distance. Shrubbery was quite sparse as his red eyes glimmered about. A few trees here and there, but nothing large or cumbersome to be used against him easily.

Seeing as it was merely the morning still, Nyzu would enter the arena alone and look about. A hand would slowly reach towards the ground getting a feel for the density and texture of the earth, it seemed powdery and dry. Then standing with his back facing towards the sun he would allow Muteki to deal with the light’s blinding radiance. His pale white hands would slowly slip on gloves, each with little cusps between the knuckles. Placing himself upon the far side of the stadium 10 meters from the wall, he would await patiently for his comrade and now enemy to arrive.

His lips would move slowly as he uttered to himself:

“Morituri te salutamus” (We who are about to die salute you.)

Two days have passed

Due to failure to post, Nyzu wins this round.

Upon standing in the stadium for quite some time, Nyzu would stare about at the small but utterly bored crowd. It seems Muteki had failed to arrive at all. Shaking his head he slowly removed his gloves and proceeded out of the arena.
