Along a narrow dirt path through a large thick foresty area around the borders of the grass village (probably enough to call Kusagakure itself), Soshin ran on and on. Where he was going, he knew not. But he had the odd desire to explore his new world of Kusa no Kuni. He never really thought about any places except this one route he used to follow to Kusagakure and the wooden house he and his mother live in. He was just ending the near of the path, when he felt a giant scraping upon his knee.
Within moments, his legs were up in the air, and he fell head first down into the rusty dirt. A stinging pain caught his leg, and he sat up immediately, despite the immense shock, to clench the cut with both arms. Actually, it was quite a devastating cut, perhaps called a wound. As the dust cleared, Soshin took the time to examine his injury, only letting one arm off his leg.
A drooling blood dribbled down his leg. It was a quite dull red, probably darkened by the dust the still swarmed around him. Before taking the time to worry about this, he looked over his shoulder to try and spot the culprit; a long, spiny piece of wood extended outwards from the bushy vegetation. It was long and thick, and from the spiny end lay a prick of blood. 'My blood.' He thought, turning his gaze to his wound again. After taking a relaxing, deep breath, he let both arms off his leg. He stared at the palm sides of his hand, long patterns of blood marking them.
His mind sparked. As if an instant reaction, his chakra shook within his body, a mixture of magical energy and healing power flowing into eachother. They seemed to encircle eachother, then spiral upwards towards his hands, creating the faintest of cream-white glows to emit from his hands. He stared at both of his hands for a moment, taking in all the chakra he could. He had been taught this while just a small boy, only, he had been unable to accomplish it. Memories flashed before his eyes as he stared at his pulsating chakra-covered hands;
~Flashback~
"Soshin. It is time I taught you a more advanced medical technique. This one is called Blood Coagulation." Soshin stared, unknowingly. He was holding his hand out, blood trickling slowly from it. "Just focus your chakra like this. I will heal that cut afterwards, for now, lets stop the blood flow." She explained. Instantly, her hand glowed with a brilliant silver, and she gently lay her palm on his bleeding one. Soon after she did, he removed her hand and all the blood that was trickling from his small cut vanished. Also, the little wound seemed to be healing already. "Thanks mum!" He yelled as his mother smiled.
~End Flashback~
In his mind, he was determined to make up for lost progress and learn this technique, aswell as, this wound looked allot more ugly than the one he had pictured in his mind, which happened almost 4 years ago. Closing his eyes and laying his chin on his knee, he covered the flowing wound with both hands. Vibrating chakra sucked into his body through the splitting wound, the healing energy seeking out the veins from whence the blood came, to block and temporarily, seal it.
With a sudden shock and zap of pain, the trickling blood settled, as the last final drips dropped to the ground, quickly disappearing to nothing in the blood-wet dirt. "Ow.. it still hurts but.." He gazed up at the sun. 'Thanks mum.' He stared back down at his wound. "Its much better." He let go with both hands, as the blood stopped emitting completely. Soshin chuckled to himself. But his happiness was not to last. For within seconds, the blood began to slowly flow again. His eyes bulged with shock.
He closed his eyes, and let out a sigh, mixed with many emotions; sadness, annoyance, and a hint of that sign that just plain means: 'Typical.' He then let out a smaller sigh, much different from the previous; a concentrating sigh. For once again, his chakra was at work. It was flowing to his hands once more, and its healing job was urgent. He had already placed his hands over his shin again, waiting for the chakra to arrive.
When it did, a glow slowly faded inwards once more. Though, he did not open his eyes to look. He simply held his hands over his knee, waiting, waiting patiently till the process was finished. "C'mon." He muttered. "C'mon."
At last, the zapping pain that signaled the sealing of the blood flow occurred. Only then did his eyes open, his hands fall away, and his gaze set on a clean wound, only a few patches of blood still remaining on his leg. But there was still a long time till it would fully heal. What would he do till then?
