These grenades are used to temporally neutralize the combat effectiveness of enemies by usually disorienting their senses. When making contact it releases a flash of light that momentarily activates all light sensitive cells in the eye, making vision impossible for approximately 5 seconds until the eye restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The incredibly loud blast produced by the grenade adds to its incapacitating properties by disturbing the fluid in the ear which also lasts approximately 5 seconds until the ear restores itself to its normal, un-stimulated state. The flash bang has a radius damage of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.

The concussion effect is more lethal than fragmentation, but its power drops more rapidly with range as well. Concussion grenades have a killing diameter of 5 meters with a wounding diameter of 15 meters. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.

Description: Smoke grenades are used as ground-to-ground or ground-to-air signaling devices, target or landing zone marking devices, and screening devices for unit movement. The body is a sheet-steel cylinder with emission holes in the top and bottom. These allow the smoke to be released when the grenade is ignited. Two main types exist, colored smoke (for signaling) and screening smoke. It fills an area radius of 15 meters with thick smoke. The smoke may come in different colors if the user wishes. Different color smoke could be used for information value if need. It takes 6 seconds before it explodes.

Description: The kunai is conventionally wrought in ranges from 6 to 8 inches, with the average at 7 inches. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a crowbar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife. There could be multiple kinds of kunais such as handless ones, or even double sided kunais as long as they are within the same length.

Description: An umbrella or parasol (sometimes colloquially, brolly, or bumbershoot) is a canopy device designed to protect from precipitation or sunlight. The term parasol usually refers to an item designed to protect from the sun, and umbrella refers to a device more suited to protect from rain. A combat umbrella intended for use on multiple opponents. It resembles a modern-day umbrella, but when spun fast and launched into the air, it literally rains death on opponents by firing many needles. The umbrella is capable of holding up to twenty slots of senbon only. It is unable to hold any other type of weapon within the inner umbrella.

Jouhyou (Imperial Whip)

Effect: Soft weapon type, mid to long range.

Description: The jouhyou is a type of whip made from a rubbery material, usually about five meters long and very very thin. The end of the whip is typically barbed with three or four small metal flanges meant to cut and lacerate flesh. These barbs can have poison applied to them.

Genju was originally a hard worker while in his home village. Life was tough and he became tougher especially when dealing with the village's harassment. Still he managed to never take things personally and could keep moving forward. He has a strong sense of duty but has let the Shadow clans laziness rub off on him. One aspect that has definitely grown is his penchant for performing pranks. It added more of a thrill to his ninja life.Appearance:
A quick study he can adapt to new situations and is always analyzing something. Shown by Maru the joys of strategy games, Genju quickly excelled at Go, Chess and MahJong.
Genju enjoys meeting new people and learning about others. He wants to know everything about ninjas to an extent that curiousity can sometimes get him into trouble. Fairly carefree his main goal is to grow powerful enough to find his mother and learn the true cause of why his blood line was extinguished.
A bit on the short and thin side, Genju is extremely pale partly due to the frigid climate and minimal sun days and due to his blood line's side affect.Bloodlimit: Kaishin (Haku)
Blue eyes complement his whitish blue hair. His natural color, he did not know what caused it. The light blue and white made him easily distinguishable from others.
As much as he liked his hair, there were some features he wished were more masculine. His voice box was not as visible as he would like and his long, thin fingers and feminine like face often caused him to be mistaken for a girl. It was an irritating annoyance but he put up with it.
To go with his hair and eyes Genju would often wear a long dark blue robe with some black trim and detachable blue and black hood. The hood when up hid his face for the most part. His choice of blue and black, while his favorite, made his fair skin even paler in contrast.
Assigned on a mission, he would keep his robe but due to the need for discretion, the headband would be hidden on his upper arm, secure from sight with no evidence that he had one. The robe hiding any signs of an object. See last post here

Starting Jutsu:GenJutsu Techniques:Suiton Soushi (Water Creation)

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: With this technique the user is able to create water from oxygen in the air for water techniques. When this water is created they can then manipulate the size and shape of the water, controlling it within their radius.
Special: This jutsu can be used as a source of Suiton jutsu without additional handseals.
Drawback: If the water is made for use outside specific jutsu or to manipulate the size/shape of water in their radius, then this jutsu requires handseals.
Description: By using their chakra a Kaishin member can manipulate the molecules in the air and allow them to take the shape and form of water. In doing so the user is capable of performing techniques that require a water source. The amount of water that can be made, as well as the radius depends on the rank of the jutsu. For D rank the user can create up to four cubic meters of water in a radius of four meters. At C rank eight cubic meters and a radius of eight meters. At B rank seventeen cubic meters of water in a radius of fifteen meters. At A rank thirty two cubic meters of water in a radius of twenty meters. At S rank fifty two cubic meters of water in a radius of thirty meters.
Limit: Must be of the Kaishin Bloodlimit. Must have Water Release.
Aisu Soushi (Ice Creation)

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: With this technique, the user is able to create ice out of any source of water around them.
Special: This jutsu when combined with Suiton Soushi can be used as a source for Hyouton jutsu without additional handseals.
Drawback: The water source must be within their Radius. When controlling or Creating Hyouton outside of Hyouton jutsu then the user must perform the required handseals.
Description: By using their chakra a Kaishin member can lower the temperature around a body of water at an incredible rate to freeze the water into ice instantly; allowing for ice techniques to be used. In order to go into a rank of this technique a member must first learn the water creation technique of the same rank. If one wishes to train into the C rank Ice Creation they must first learn the C rank Water Creation technique and so on. The radius at which ice can be made depends on the rank of the technique. At D rank four meters radius. C rank eight meters radius. B rank fifteen meters radius. A rank twenty meters radius. S rank thirty meters radius.
Limit: Must have Water Creation Technique rank by rank. ex: D for D, C for C, etc. Must have Ice Release. Must be of the Kaishin Bloodlimit.
Kagemane no Jutsu, (Shadow Imitation Technique)
Rank: "C", "ba" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: The signature move of the Nara family, this jutsu allows the user to control their own shadow and merge it with their opponent's shadow, combining them. This links the movements of the user with the target; the target is subsequently forced to make any movement the user makes. It is an extremely versatile technique, as the user can contract and change the shape of their shadow, potentially grabbing multiple targets at once. The degree to which the user's shadow can be stretched is limited by its total surface area.

Drawback: Must Be Learned Multiple times in order to truly achieve something grand. Must hold Rat hand seal until the technique connects with the targets shadow.
Description: Using the shadows of other objects, the user can extend their shadow beyond its normal range. The amount of time for which an opponent can be held is limited by the user's chakra, since the user must constantly maintain the jutsu. The jutsu is also more difficult to maintain at greater ranges or for multiple opponents, since the user's shadow must be stretched constantly. At closer ranges, it requires considerably less effort on the user's part. Additionally, the target can force their way free with enough effort, though the amount of effort required to do so is considerable. There are two tables or understandings for this technique that consists of the Difficulty class of the User as well as the Opponent, and as to how far the user is capable of using this technique. When first learned the user is only capable of using this technique at a distance of Ten meters. Each higher Rank archived, the user is capable of extending the shadow another five meters. The user must first however, learn each rank a certain amount of times before then next rank is obtainable. The C rank version must be learned five times total. At which point the ditance is upgraded to "B" Rank training and now extends ten meters each time trained. This version must be learned 3 times total. The "A" Rank version, extends the range to Seventy meters, and every additional "A" Rank training extends it another ten meters. This technique caps out at 100 meters. The user is capable of making their shadow split and by doing so takes up the distance of the total form of the original technique. This means that if a user has this technique to where they can use thirty meters and wishes to make this technique split to three shadows the maximum distance is ten meters per shadow.
Difficulty on Escaping: Escaping the Kagemane is a tricky art for some, easier for others. Depending on your Stamina and Difficulty class depends on how well the opponent can escape the Kagemane. The Kagemane is held for a Certain time frame depending on Rank of the technique learned. "C" Rank can be held for 18 seconds before it breaks no matter what. "B" Rank 36 seconds, "A" Rank 54 Seconds. For every difficulty class the user is above the opponent, add another five seconds. If the opponent for every difficulty class above th user, subtract five seconds. If the Opponent captured is a Taimaster, subtract 15 seconds additionally. If the opponent is a Tai specialist, subtract 5 additional seconds. If the opponent is a Taijutsu No specialist, leave it as is. After doing the math, the amount of turns held will be apparent.

Description: When first learned the user is only capable of creating up to Five Bird like swallows in the size of a large like kunai. The user either creates the snow or uses ice around them in order for the user to create the technique to push forward towards the user. Each time learned the amount of Swallows may increase by five. The maximum number a user is capable of using is Twenty each. Every time the user gains a new Difficulty Class the Maximum number increases by Ten.

Description: After performing the handseals, one must press their hand against an area of snow to turn it into a trap. Whenever someone steps into that area, the snow suddenly transforms into ice freezing the opponent's feet into place.

Description: The understanding of this technique allows for a Kaishin user to truly harness the power of ice creation. This technique will determine how hard ice created is. The user must be the same class as the rank of jutsu they wish to learn. This means to learn the B rank version of this technique the user must be B class or higher and so on. At D rank the ice is as solid as regular ice. At C rank the ice is as strong as iron. At B rank the ice is as strong as titanium and cannot be melted with fire techniques below A rank. At A rank the ice is as strong as hard steel and can’t be melted by fire techniques below S rank. At S rank the ice is as strong as adamantine and cannot be melted by fire techniques. This technique is the base of all ice techniques used. The strength of every ice technique depends on this.

Deîpu Furîzu (Deep Freeze)

Effect: Utilizing advanced mechanics of the Water Creation and Ice Creation, the user forms a ball of water near the freezing point, before hurling it at the target. Once the ball comes in contact with the target; it freezes on contact.
Special: "Eight Handseals"
Drawback: The user is incapable of moving while performing this technique. In addition the jutsu only moves along a straight line.
Description: Utilizing the Water Creation jutsu, they perform eight handseals before swaying their hand in a circular motion. The swaying of their arms drops the temperature of the created water as it begins to forumlate into a ball within one of the user's hands (preferably the dominate hand but this is not necessary). When the user is ready the ball is hurled at the target. The water in question is at a temperature which is near freezing point and instantly freezes upon contact within a meter radius for the B-rank version. The B-rank version is capable of completely freezing anything within the three meter radius; making this variation a death move requiring death approval.
Limit: Kaishin Bloodlimit, Requires Water Creation and Ice Creation.
Suiton Soushi (Water Creation)

Effect: With this technique the user is able to create water from oxygen in the air for water techniques. Likewise they can then manipulate the size and shape of the water.

Description: By using their chakra a Kaishin member can manipulate the molecules in the air and allow them to take the shape and form of water. In doing so the user is capable of performing techniques that require a water source. The amount of water that can be made, as well as the radius depends on the rank of the jutsu. For D rank the user can create up to four cubic meters of water in a radius of four meters. At C rank eight cubic meters and a radius of eight meters. At B rank seventeen cubic meters of water in a radius of fifteen meters. At A rank thirty two cubic meters of water in a radius of twenty meters. At S rank fifty two cubic meters of water in a radius of thirty meters.

Flying Water Needles of Death
Rank: B
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates up to 500 needles made of ice to strike an opponent.
Special: Handseals, end with Tiger
Drawback: The user cannot control the needles outside of their Ice Creation radius. Likewise, they cannot form the needles outside of their Ice Creation radius either. Lastly, the water must be within the air in order for it to be controlled.
Description: Utilizing the Ice Creation, the Kaishin will freeze water within the air around them, transforming the water into 500 needles of ice. The strength of this ice is dependant on Kuri Buki. The Ice Needles will stay suspended in the air as long as the user holds the tiger hand seal. During this moment of suspension in the air, the user can aim their Ice Needles to strike at the target. Once The Seal is released the Ice Needles will fire off in the last direction they were aimed at.

Hyouton: Shimoyaiba no Jutsu (Ice Release: Frozen Sword Technique)

Skill: Specialized Taijutsu
Effect: When the user hits the opponent with the weapon, a small burst of frost will spread, causing frostbite-like effects as well as preventing a wound from healing rapidly.
Special: "Hand Seals"- Dragon, Rat Monkey, Dog, Rabbit, Horse, Tiger.
Drawback: If the user nicks themselves with the weapon, they will suffer from the effects as well.
Description: The user pumps chakra into a main weapon and then attacks. Every time that the user hits the opponent, a small burst of frost will escape from the blade, creating symptoms similar to frostbite, which numbs and prevents fast movement. This also prevents a wound from naturally healing with any decent speed. This also means that medical jutsu that is used for healing is required to cure the frostbite effects first.

Hyouton: Ice Bomb Sphere

Effect: Creates a ball of ice which will explode to unleash water needles.
Special: Ox, Hare, Ram.
Drawback: Ice Spheres take one post to prepare, explodes within the user's Ice Creation radius with a max of 500 needles in a full 360 degrees. The needles do not distinguish from friend or foe, likewise they can also harm the user as well if they're in the path of the needles.
Description: Utilizing their knowledge of Flying Water Needles, this jutsu allows the Kaishin to create various ice bombs to serve as offensive or defensive traps. The user will use the Water creation jutsu or utilize an existing water source in order to shape the water into a sphere with needles protruding from all sides of the sphere. They will then freeze it after creation, turning them into ice spheres. These spheres will glow with a feint white chakra signalling their active. When the user is ready, they can form the tiger hand seal and explode the ice spheres, launching their needle contents in a 360 degree radius around the sphere. Unfortunately, the sphere's must be within the user's Ice Creation radius in order to be activated.

Aisu no Bunshin (Demonic Ice Clone)

Effect: Creates a clone made entirely out of ice which is capable of engaging combat.
Special: “Hand Seals” – Tiger, Rat, Serpent, Dragon
Drawback: The clone is only as strong as the user's level of Kuri Buki.
Description: By using an ice source or creating it, the user can create fully functional clones made of solid ice which can carry out limited attacks. Unlike other bunshins, the clone(s)’ rock-hard structure make it capable of withstanding multiple physical attacks before dispersing into the original source. The clones can preform techniques known by the user but only ice release techniques and they can only use the ice source from their own bodies. The clones cannot proceed too far from the user or they will revert to water. The range is dependent upon the user's level of Ice Creation. The hardness of the clones depend on the level of the user's Kuri Buki. When first learned the user is only able to create two clones. The user can then do C rank training to increase that number by one. When the limit of clones reaches five they then must do B rank training to increase the number by one.

Effect: Utilizing advanced mechanics of the Water Creation and Ice Creation, the user forms a ball of water near the freezing point, before hurling it at the target. Once the ball comes in contact with the target; it freezes on contact.

Drawback: The user is incapable of moving while performing this technique. In addition the jutsu only moves along a straight line.
Description: Utilizing the Water Creation jutsu, they perform eight handseals before swaying their hand in a circular motion. The swaying of their arms drops the temperature of the created water as it begins to forumlate into a ball within one of the user's hands (preferably the dominate hand but this is not necessary). When the user is ready the ball is hurled at the target. The water in question is at a temperature which is near freezing point and instantly freezes upon contact within a meter radius for the B-rank version. The B-rank version is capable of completely freezing anything within the three meter radius; making this variation a death move requiring death approval.

Description: The understanding of this technique allows for a Kaishin user to truly harness the power of ice creation. This technique will determine how hard ice created is. The user must be the same class as the rank of jutsu they wish to learn. This means to learn the B rank version of this technique the user must be B class or higher and so on. At D rank the ice is as solid as regular ice. At C rank the ice is as strong as iron. At B rank the ice is as strong as titanium and cannot be melted with fire techniques below A rank. At A rank the ice is as strong as hard steel and can’t be melted by fire techniques below S rank. At S rank the ice is as strong as adamantine and cannot be melted by fire techniques. Effect: With this technique the user is capable of figuring the location of where a sound is coming from. This takes a post in order for this type of technique may take place.

Drawback: The user must stand still, with their eyes closed in order for the user to gain the capability of judging the direction of the sound.
Description: The way this works is that the user concentrates along the Sound release as they push the chakra along towards their ears. As the user does this, they concentrate on certain sounds that surrounds the user. If the sounds are in a large area and more sounds is created the user is capable of identifying the general location as to where the sound is coming from.

Effect: A technique where the user throws their voice off in a different direction so then opponents or those who wish to hear coming from the user wont be capable of hearing.

Drawback: Can not throw more then six words at a time. Maximum distance of this technique is fifty meters in radius.
Description: The user concentrates on the chakra within, and along the mouth. As they do this the user transmits a few words and uses their sound release to where the sound does not come forth. As the user does this the words are "thrown" out. This allows them throw their voice or move any sounds they can make with their mouth to any location without the sound fading. If by chance the user is capable of noticing or knowing the exact location of an ear, the user is capable of whispering the message into their ear.

Description: The user focuses chakra at a certain point on the target and creates a small amount of friction in the air, sparking the area. This can be done almost instantaneously, but causes almost zero damage due to the small nature of the spark. It cannot cause paralysis or blindness, nor any other sort of damage. Usually a prank children use on each other like a game of tag, but with sparks for a small kick.

The technique is used to where they create a small ball of lightning to where the user is capable of hurling it towards the opponent. This technique is weak however and is only capable of paralyzing an opponent for approximately one round no matter how strong the opponent may be.

Drawback: Can only do enough to slightly numb and paralyze (Only for a quarter of a post), if the user tries to make it stronger, it will end up backfiring and paralyzing their hand. Can only charge up to 5 slots at once
Description: The user holds as many kunai/shuriken, or metal projectile for that matter, as they can, up to 5 slots in their hands, and charges them with electricity. Extra lightning damage is added which will slightly paralyze or numb. The projectiles will shock the opponent weakly even if they don't make contact, but at least come close to.

Description: The user forms the handseals gathering chakra to there pointer fingers. When they get to the Horse handseal the user blows lightly on his pointer fingers creating a small gust of wind on the ground causing the opponent or anyone in front of the user to be tripped or lose there balance.

Effect: The jutsu will stun and immobilize a person by sending an electrical current through the air. The people affected would be immobilized for one turn.

Description: The user makes a series of hand seals and stops on the last one, charging electricity into their hands. The users spreads his hands out wide and claps them together. An invisible electric current is sent out, radiating outward from the user. It will stun and immobilize anyone in a 3 meter radius, long enough for the user to attack or escape.

The Village:
Genju lived peacefully in a remote village in the Land of Snow with his mother. On the morning of his eleventh birthday he had acted out his dream in his sleep causing his bed to be a Popsicle when he awoke. Alarmed he panicked and when his mother came in she looked fearful but resigned. Considered one of the most beautiful women in the village, even fear could not detract from Ellen's appearance.
After Genju changed she explained to him her past and the secrets she had kept all this time. She had originally been born in the Land of Water to loving parents but in a trying time. Her bloodline was being hunted down out of fear from villagers due to its powerful ice and water abilities. The fear was unnatural, as the bloodline had never done anything evil, causing the leaders to think an organized group was behind it. She did not know for sure or remember everything as she was ten at the time. Her parents, who were among the last survivors, decided that even though the blood limit had passed over her she was not safe. Most Kaishin users had already gone into hiding and were still being hunted.
To protect her, her parents contacted a former Leaf ninja they befriended. Helping him escape from a bounty hunter he offered them aid if they ever required it. As luck would have it, he was in the Land of Water on a mission at the time of the purge. He had ended up defecting to the Hidden Snow village since her parents last saw him, and he agreed to take her back with him with the Kage's approval. It took a week but permission was granted. After a tearful goodbye, she left with him to the Land of Snow bringing with her scrolls containing the Kaishin genealogy, jutsus and knowledge gained over generations. Her parents figured the knowledge would be safest in the hands of someone who could not use the blood limit. No one would expect it to be with her. Her parents had planned on joining them in the Land of Snow but circumstances would not permit it. She never saw them again and with their death the Kaishin blood limit had officially been driven into hiding, scattered across the lands and was effectively extinct but for a handful of survivors. No one knew who in the bloodline still lived or where they went.
Eventually she grew to like the Village Hidden in Snow and learned the ninja arts. With the former leaf ninja's help she hid the scrolls in the snow packed earth, sealed away except for those with the blood limit to activate it. Unable to use the blood limit the knowledge would sleep for a long time while she managed to work her way up to become a skilled Jounnin.
Many years passed but one day on a mission she met the man she would eventually marry. A few years after their first meeting they would marry and Ellen decided to retire from the ninja life. With the Kage's permission she left the Hidden Snow village and went to live in his hometown, a remote village where people had some odd beliefs. This village would be Genju's birthplace and home.
Her original plan was for Genju to be an ordinary villager and not a ninja. She wanted him to have an ordinary life but activation of the blood limit crushed the plan like an ant. He had already heard stories about ninja and wanted to be one. Genju was enthralled in the ninja life. Now he would get his wish. It would be too dangerous to leave his blood limit untrained if he could subconsciously use it. Making up her mind she would secretly train Genju in as much of the ninja arts as she could. However, the blood limit knowledge was still confined to her hiding place in the hidden village.
Over the next year Genju learned the basics of chakra and the academy basics. He quickly took in and applied the information easily much to his mother's surprise. When they were not secretly training, she would occasionally send a snow owl that dwelled in their backyard to the Hidden Snow village with messages. The villagers thought it was just a wild owl living in a tree. Yet the day after Genju's twelfth birthday life would become difficult. While practicing to freeze part of a stream, he stayed out longer than he should have and got caught up in a snowstorm. A villager hurrying to shelter spied Genju and was amazed to see him unaffected and rather embrace the cold. It seemed like Genju was causing the storm. Genju, however, did not notice the villager enthralled as he was in his chakra manipulation.
Always considering the kid weird, this confirmed it. The next day he along with several villagers and one outsider approached the house. Ellen looked out the window shaking her head sadly. Life had definitely gotten harder since Genju's father passed away. Permission had long been granted for Genju and Ellen to return to the Hidden Snow village but she liked the remoteness of her home. Still, taking another look, the armored outsider concerned her.
A shadow clone snuck outside with a note to the owl while Genju and his mom answered the front door. A master of tact she was able to persuade the villagers to leave them alone much to Genju's relief although some still thought Genju was a Yokki. Yet they would leave it for now. That is, except for the armored man who looked semi-familiar. He refused to budge. "Genju," she whispered to him, "remember that inn I once told you about. Go out the back and head there. A man named Maru will meet you there. He's a shadow user, the son of that former leaf nin I told you about." Seeing his concerned face she added, "Don't worry, I'll meet up with you later. Your going to the Snow Village." Genju smiled. His worry faded as it dawned that he would be going to a real ninja village. His excitement built as she said, "Now go." Genju hurried out back eager to see a ninja village. It had been one of his goals for so long. Despite being one of his happiest memories it would also be the saddest. He would not see his mother again.
"Hello Ellen," said the man when Genju was gone.
"Hello Ryuk," she responded. "It's been a while."
"Time to finish it," he said. It was all that needed to be said. Unseen by Genju, an epic battle would unfold.
Journey
Storm clouds hovered on the horizon as Genju thought of how deftly his mother had handled the villagers. He hoped he could persuade people like that one day. Racing through the snow covered ground he made great time as he headed for the inn. He had been there once before. The only inn for miles he knew instantly where she was talking about.
Arriving as the wind picked up, the inn was near deserted even though it was already late afternoon. No one wanted to travel when a storm could be coming. There he waited for an hour taking in the different designs and wondering what being a full fledged ninja was like. Finally as the first flurries of snow would fall a man with red hair and a goatee would enter looking around. Spying the boy with the odd colored hair, he smiled. After introductions, the man said they would spend the night. The next morning the two would head for the Hidden snow village getting there by nightfall. The still falling snow and Genju's short legs made the journey longer than it would usually take.
Village Life
Genju was amazed at the sight of the village gates, the expansive village and the unique buildings. He had never seen anything like it. He was already lost and had forgotten how they arrived at the village. Maru showed Genju how to check in and then lead him to the Kage's office.
After a long conversation it was agreed that Genju would be adopted by Maru and be an honorary Shadow clan member. Maru's father had already approved it. Genju could barely take it all in as Maru told him to wait outside. He had something private to discuss.
Later Maru showed Genju to his family's home. It was an impressive building. As Genju settled in over the next couple of days he wondered when his mother would get there. He was beginning to worry. A week later after he had settled in a funeral was held. Many of the village's nin showed up as an empty casket was buried. There had been no signs of his mother or the man she fought, only massive blood stains under the fresh powder in front of his home. It had been the topic Maru brought up with the Kage.
Genju refused to accept that his mother could die since she had promised to come to the village to be with him. To take his mind off it he managed to convince Maru's father Azul to show him where his mom had hidden his blood lines scrolls. He would grow powerful enough to be able to find his mother and defeat that mysterious man. As naïve as Azul thought Genju's philosophy was he couldn't deny him his birthright. Hidden deep in a snow cave Genju cut his finger and let crimson droplets land on a seal. In a flash of light the seal broke opening up a treasure trove of knowledge for him to study. There was a lot to do now. He looked forward, not backward and would not dwell on his mom. He knew she was alive somewhere.
1 Year Later
He graduated the academy with outstanding marks. The tests had been easier than he thought. He felt like he barely put any effort in. Now thirteen Genju's skills were growing quickly. Now that he had passed the academy exams Maru agreed to show him shadow jutsus, which he was eager to learn. Also in this time he would take the steps needed to consciously use his blood line's abilities. The ninja life was how he thought it would be. His next goal was to grow more powerful to be able to find his mom and the truth about what had happened to his blood line. It took on more meaning the more he read his family's history. Genju's adventure would now truly begin…Another Year has passed...
One year...It really had been about a year since he left Maru's house for the hidden cave. There, in its solemnity, Genju studied alone using the secret room to memorize and practice his jutsus. It was hard work but definitely worth it. After a hard day of training, he'd sleep in a bed of ice. In fact, all the furniture was ice. Cut off from the world and the village, Genju studied what only his eyes were allowed to see. Seasons passed unnoticed until finally Genju felt he had grown enough to leave his teachings and see the world again. At least that's what he told himself.
Emerging into the daylight Genju was blinded by the strong rays of the sun. It took a while but his eyes gradually readjusted as his stomach rumbled. Though he would not admit it, the reason he left was due to hunger. He had just run out of food.
Traveling quickly, he hurried to Maru's house, still the same as always. Taking the extra key, he went in to see Maru at the table. Genju stood there, looking at Maru and Maru looking at him. "Training go well?" asked Maru.
"It was alright," he replied. "So...what do you have to eat?" Maru laughed as he went to the pantry.
"Welcome back," he said smiling, pulling out an assortment of snacks. "Tell me what you learned."
Genju gave a sigh of relief. He feared an awkward reunion but it was not. This was his home. His memory flashed to his mother, still out there somewhere. Yes, he was home but he had a long way to go...
