"I forgot how sweet the air was.."
Those would be the first words to escape from the young Uchiha's lips. There he stood, feet planted on the ground at the top of the mountain trail which led into the boy's so called 'home village'. His scarf would remain over his face, only his one eye was showing, due to the other being covered by what he called 'Spunky's face'. It was merely an eyepatch in which a rather identical face of his late rabbit friend claimed its spot. His hair was kept up and out of his face by his black Suna headband of course. And his baggy clothes that hung off of him slightly would blow along with the rapid wind that would soon pass by. As the boy's eye fixed onto the village and the small 'ants' that resembled people walked by here and there, the boy would once again feel that familiar trance; flashback. "They probably won't be too happy about me being here.."
Flashback ------
"Check this out, Spunk! This town is needs a new paint job and its up to us to give it to 'em, since well, all the of the people in here don't understand true art!" The young and rather high pitched voice of a ten year old boy would sound in the air. The villagers had been at a town meeting for the moment, and the young Uchiha had managed to sneak out just before he fell asleep due to the boredom. The little rabbit would stare up at him, his beady eyes easily stated that it wasn't a very good idea. But being a young child, no idea that popped up in the boy's head was a very reasonable or beneficial one. In the red-head boy's hand was of course some red spray paint. And on his back was bag full of it. He only had an hour to 'decorate' the entire town, and due to his persona, the boy was determined to get it done.
At a very young age, the boy knew no better and wasn't very good at art. His graffitti skills were merely at a mediocre level, so he got it done pretty quickly. Pressing down hard onto the button, the boy could only focus, a smirk across his face as he'd listen to the sound of the can unleashing its beautiful paint all over the wall of the building. Within minutes, he'd already be on his third house. The words "GRACEFUL ART" was all over his 'past houses'. Spunky would cover his eyes with every house being completed, knowing that they'd get in trouble, once again. Some more minutes would pass by and they'd finally be done with five minutes to spare. The boy would stand in front of the town hall doors, hands resting on the back of his head. A rather wide grin would claim his lips as he'd marvel at his work. Spunky would make his squeals of dissapproval, and finally the screeching noise of the town hall doors opening. The young Uchiha would spin around to the adults with his cheesy smile.
"Tada! I did good huh?" He'd ask proudly. Then soon there would be a mass explosion of gasps and then finally the grunts and shouts of dissapproval would reach the boy's ears. "You demon child! What did you do!?" One man would exclaim, another could be heard crying about his 'beautiful house'. The boy's grin would quickly turn into a sorrow filled frown. Soon Angel's father would come and take him by his arm. "Apologize now!" The man would look down onto his son with cold and very angry eyes. The green eyes of the young Uchiha would turn to all of the townsfolk and mutter the words, "Sorry everybuddy.." Soon small tears would roll from his eyes and the boy's father would let go of his arm. "Wait for me at home.." He'd coo the young Angel. Without another word, the ten year old boy would march off towards his home. He could only make out a last few words of his father before becoming out of range. "He's just like his older brother, Mario.. I'm terribly sorry ---"
End Flashback ------
"Mario..?" Muttering the name. Who was Mario..? He had an older brother? Why is it that he could finally remember this when he got close to this town..? Clearly the townsfolk knew something he didn't. And even if they weren't happy to see them, the young sixteen year old was determined to get it out of them. With that, Angel would continue down the mountain trail. Listening to the sound of his footsteps hitting the ground below his softly. Within a few minutes or so, he'd finally reach the village. Some people farming here and there, and soon he'd find himself being approached by the mayor of the village, Old Dalen. "Hello there, stranger! Its always nice to see a new face. I'm the mayor of this village, you can call me ---" Angel would cut him off there. "Good to see you again, old man!" The man looked a bit dumbfounded and confused by his words. But then it'd finally hit him.
"The only person that used to call me that was.." The boy would then remove his scarf from over his face, a playful smirk to claim his lips. "Little ol' Angel Uchiha! I can't believe it! Look everyone! Its little Angel!" The townsfolk would all stop what they were doing. Their faces would fill with shock as they'd examine the boy's facial features. He'd changed a lot over the years, but no doubt it was the same Angel. He'd laugh a bit and give a small wave to the entire town. So many familiar faces. Older now, but still very familiar. "You've lost your eye..?" The man would ask with a worried look on his face. The boy would lift the eyepatch up, revealing his perfectly fine eye. "No, actually I've lost Spunky.." The old man would shake his head. "I'm so sorry son.. You've gone through enough losses.. Well come! Come! We'll have tea and we can talk!"
And with that, Dalen would lead the young boy off to his own house. Angel of course recognized the house. He'd gave it his best spray paint in his stock. This old town hadn't changed one bit, in fact. Angel would sit down at the man's kitchen table and watch as Dalen would pour two cups of tea. " What brings you back here, Angel? We haven't seen you since those dreadful bandits attacked. You know they left after you left." The boy's eyes would widen and then lock onto the old man as he'd set down the boy's cup of tea. "Those bandits are gone?! Damn.. Do you know where they might've gone?" He'd ask old Dalen although he knew the answer to that question. And as expected, Dalen would shake his head. "Good thing they're gone too. Angel, if you go after them to avenge your fathers death, please be careful! They were dangerous, and I'm pretty sure their skills have honed over these past years ---" Just as he'd done before, the young Uchiha would cut the man off there once again. "Yeah, well mine have too, Dalen. I won't rest until I know they're good and six feet deep!" Smirking, the young man would take a quick sip of his tea.
"Give them my regards then, Angel. Judging from your headband, I see you've gone off and become a true shinobi of the Sand village! I'm very proud." The boy would chuckle a bit and give a slight nod. "Those bandits weren't all I came back for though, Dalen." Holding his free hand up at the boy, the old man would finish up his tea before once again resume speaking. "I suspected as much. You've come back to learn of your past." Angel could only nod his head slightly. His eye would watch the old man closely as he'd rise from his seat and stroll slowly over to the window. "Yes, Yes. Your father and I were very close. He shared all of his secrets with me, including the past.. Your true past, my son." Dalen would turn back to Angel, and begin. Angel of course, was all ears.
"You were supposed to be born in the Mist Village, Angel. But during those times, Mist was at war with the Rain Village. Of course during this time your mother was pregnant with you. She already had another child. Uchiha Mario. Your brother." A pause as the boy would gasp slightly. His eyes would widen. Dalen would continue on. "They sent Mario off to the Leaf Village to live with good friends of theirs. To escape their enemies, they fled far into here, the Land Of Bears. Upon reaching the Land Of Bears, your mother finally had you, but unfortunately had to leave in order to go and retrieve Mario at the Leaf Village. You and your father were to travel back to the Mist Village after your mother had gotten your brother. Unfortunately, your mother caught by her enemies when traveling back to Mist and was killed. It had been reported that your brother had been killed along with her. Of course your father decided to stay here and make a living, raising you to grow as a fine young man. Apparently he'd done a great job."
As the man would finish, Angel's eyes would trail back up to him. He was supposed to be a Mist shinobi. He used to have a brother. And his mother was a great warrior, just like his father. "So now.. Not only do I got a dead mom, and dad, but a dead brother too..?" Dalen would shake his head. "I wouldn't say that exactly. Your mother and father are of course no doubt deceased, but your brother... They never found his body. In fact we hear tales of a great Mist shinobi by the name of Mario Uchiha. The facts match up. Everyone in your family were great shinobi, Angel. Your mother of the legendary Kaishin bloodlimit, she was. Your father, amongst the few Uchiha to reach the fourth eye of the Sharingan, Mangekyou. And finally we heard stories of a Mario Uchiha. He happens to have your brother's exact name. Its too much to just be a coincidence, Angel." The boy's eyes would widen again. A smirk would stretch across his face. "So my big brother is alive..? I gotta meet this dude!" He'd state excitedly as he'd stand up from his seat.
"Oshean. That was your mother's name. DeMario was your father's first name. Itsunagi was merely his middle." Angel's eyes would trail from Dalen's, and onto the ceiling. "One day I'll meet her too." Closing his eyes and allowing a bright smile to take his lips, the boy would look at Dalen's face once again. "Thanks a lot, Dalen." The old man would shake his head. "Be sure to bring your brother by, the next time you visit, Angel" A smirk in his lips and a nod in his head. With that, the boy would finish the rest of his tea and head off. As he'd reach the top of the mountain trail once again, the boy would shift his body looking back. The small 'ants' could be seen gathered together in one spot. The boy could just barely make out that they were waving at him. He'd give them one final wave and march on. This time, his destination was Kiri.
