Katon Hidora no Jutsu (Fire - Hydra Technique)

Effect: A technique in which the user takes the concept of Ryuuka but is capable of using it more of a destructive manner and more of a diverse manner. Instead of one large dragon like form being shot forth towards the opponent, the user is capable of increasing the amount of them into an amount of three dragonic creations with similar devistation.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: They are only capable of going in a straight line. Projectory may not change directions.
Description: A Large creation is created as the user performs the neccessary handseals for the technique. As the user does so they raise their hand up over their mouth. By taking in a deep breathe the user fills their lungs with chakra to in which egnites the moment they blow the air out. As the user blows out the creation of fire is made taking the form of a giant dragon like creature. The Dragon is quickly hurled towards the opponent as the dragon swivles and swirves moving like that of a Chinese Dragon. Then without notice or movement the large dragon splits into three smaller sized forms of dragons as they twist and turn around one another heading towards the intended target. This technique is used to where the user is capable of controling each dragon to hit at different times. This means that each dragonic form of fire may be one after the other before hitting the initial target. The user is capable of pushing so much power into the technique to where when it touches the target it is needed it is egnited in a mass blaze of glory, creating a grand explosion for each form.

It had been sometime since he had set foot out into the open fields of the village to work on his arsenal. It was perhaps inexcusable how long he had taken to get himself in the proper mind set to extend his abilities beyond the realm of the normal shinobi, so he would make up for lost time and punish himself by training such an advanced technique without the aid of his eyes. Giving a soft sigh, Genma would sigh and stretch as he unrolled the scroll that he had been given by one of the teachers at the academy. Inside rested a Katon technique that was an extension of one he had learned when he was in the presence of the Kusakage, with it so fresh in his mind it would most likely be a simple technique to pick up. Closing his eyes, the young Uchiha would let his senses wash over him as he gathered his chakra. The grass around him seemed to stir from gentle winds, the power that was swelling up within having an effect on the enviroment around him physically. Within his mind he would hold the purpose of the technique, to extend his chakra along through a normal Dragon Fire Jutsu and multiply it's effect.

Forming hand seals slowly, the Uchiha would push the chakra inside him towards his belly. Raging within him like a Dragon, it would respond to his call with very little resistance as he directed it's power. Genma had always been pretty good with chakra control so that was never an issue. The main problem he had sometimes was when it came to proper execution of the technique, sometimes he failed to maintain his chakra's shape after it left him. This was perhaps a flaw in the way he did things, however it was one he would work out for himself today, he would not leave this field until he had figured it out. Harnessing the energy from within himself now, the young Uchiha would exhale slowly, pushing the chakra outward away from himself now. The results were as he expected however which was not truly a major set back, he had just hoped for more.

Immediately the flames would bellow outward over the field with much error, the initial Dragon taking form and flowing forward. Genma would then quickly extend his chakra outward the best he could amongst the technique, attempting to seperate the flames into three Dragonic transformations. Focusing carefully, he could feel the chakra leave his body and shoot along down the line with careful ease, however getting it to form within something so uncontrollable would be a challenge. Perhaps this was what set him apart from other Shinobi however, the ability to manipulate the Katon no Jutsu better then most would ever be able to dream of. As he extended the chakra forth, he would watch as two side off shoots would begin to form, trying to twist themselves into the shape of a Dragon. Of course they would fail, but this would only be a building block for the young Genin to base his technique around.

Continuing the stream of flames, he would carefully attempt to extend his chakra along the flaming beast once more. All he had in him was quickly vanishing as he did this however, it was not so taxing to do this technique once, but to maintain it and manipulate your chakra through out the technique was. Sweat rolled down his form from a mixture of heat and focus as he watched the sides of his technique once more ripple. The flames would attempt to push it's way out of the main stream once more as if it were a Dragon fighting it's way out of a cage. The hungry eyes of the beast could be seen attempting to emerge as he pressed on, his chakra loss was becoming heavier by the moment. After several moments of exhuasting control and manipulation however he would collapse to his knees and the flames become extinguished as he looked on with a tired, ragged sort of look. “Well, it's a start..” he would state to himself as he sat down upon the ground cross legged for a break.

The air felt good against the young Uchiha as he sat there without his shirt, his toned body showing. Around his waist he wore a back belt sort of cloth (The black thing around Sasuke's waist) that was held closed with his rope cord. Today his head band was in plain sight, tied neatly around his forehead as his bangs cascaded down over it blocking most of the symbol etched upon it from view.

“I should have known the fire was from you, Genma.” came a calm older voice as a man in a Flak Jacket would appear out of thin air. Another person who was important in Genma's life, Ryukaze had always been around to help advance Genma's training along. Long brown locks flowed down to the mans shoulder, buffeted by the wind as he stared down with a passive glance that betrayed no emotions to the boy. It had always been this way, he had shown Genma the art of the Shinobi in combat. Never show your emotions, however never discard them entirely either, they were your greatest strength. A smirk appeared on the young Uchiha's face as he stood to greet the man, bowing respectfully. “Heh, should have known you'd see it and come to pester me Ryu-San.” stated Genma as he stretched and prepared for a bit more training. This would take alot out of him by the time he was finished, preparation was everything. “I see you're learning the Hydra Technique. At your level thats quite a feat..” said Ryu reverantly as he examined the young man. The power of the Uchiha never ceased to amaze him, everytime Genma did something there was a certain shock value to be gained.

“If you watch, I'll show you how far I've come with the training.” stated Genma, knowing that he was only able to barely replicate it's effect. Making hand seals slowly, the young man would build the chakra within his lungs with each seal. Executing a technique relied heavily on ones skill level, however at the same time there was a certain degree of luck and a state of mind that one had to be in to get it just right. The Dragon once more entered his mind, it's long winding body coiling it's self around a pair of lungs. This was, to him, the visual representation of his own chakra. Powerfully it would roar as the chakra stores only became increasingly larger, the power that he was to unleash would devistate all that lay before him simply by exhaling the power within. Finishing the seals, Genma would raise his hand over his lips, cupping it to guide the heat and chakra into a true stream. As always, Ryu would tense as he prepared to be impressed by Genma's level of skill when it came to fire, there was no other Genin within the village who held such regard for the Katon affinity.

“Katon: Hidora no Jutsu!”

At first there was only a small blue glow that came when he exhaled, however quickly something would spark within it and give life to one of the most impressive feats. Quickly shifting from a light blue color to a bright red/orange glow, the fire would rain forth from his mouth in a long stream. At the end of the stream, a Dragon would lead the way, guiding the power of this technique with what seemed like a roaring sound. This however was only the noise that was created by the heat of the flames and their movement within the air, however it was a nice touch. Now pumping his chakra forth into the creation, he would attempt to impress his old Sensei by extending his power and bringing out the full power of the Hydra technique. Of course it would result in failure, however as an Uchiha it was in his nature to show off. Chanelling the power along the flames, Genma would attempt to extend two more Dragonic creations off of the first, however as before only the flames would stir for a brief moment giving way to a set of flame "eyes" before the original would crash into the ground and erupt into a fire.

This however was where Ryu would become useful. Nodding his head, he would instantly figure out what the problem was when Genma executed the technique. “Your breathing is not steady enough. Not only is it throwing off your chakra channelling into the flames, it is making the flames too wild to accept it.” he stated slowly as he looked unimpressed. Genma looked irritable for a moment, he hated not being able to impress Ryu and get a little acknowledgement on the outside appearance. Giving a nod Genma would only be able to pant and sigh as he considered this. “Try it like this.” stated Ryu as he formed hand seals and exhaled sharply. The sound of his breath would be audible as he shot the flames forth, the Dragons all exploding seperately of each other. “Steady your breath.” he stated in an even tone as he pointed to Genma. Once more then Genin would set about the task, having recieved a tip. Flames roared on and off for the next half hour, success was not looming any nearer at the moment for the young man.

Since he had just finished a B-Rank technique, Ryo wanted to stop by and see how his brother was doing. The only problem was that he had no idea where Genma would be so he had to do a lot of searching before he stumbled upon the field. He smirked as he watched him train from afar at first. Apparently there was some type of elder who was helping him to train for the time being. Quirking a brow, Ryo watched as the older one told him what he was doing wrong and how to correct himself. A slight smirk spread across Ryo's lips as he slowly walked upon the grounds, his feet making soft steps upon the ground. "Mind if I join you?"

Panting, Genma would look up to see that his brother had appeared out of nowhere, or perhaps he was simply just distracted. Smirking, Genma would nod his head towards his brother, of course he was always welcome when it came to furthering their strength. Catching his breath slowly, Genma would gasp once more before he spoke, fire was taxing. “I was beginning to wonder where you had gotten to Ryo.” he said with a chuckle as he slowly clambered to his feet with a shaky few steps. It seemed that the Hydra technique had already taken a high toll on his form as he stood there seeming as if he would collapse, however he was an Uchiha so he would press on. “The cool air gives me strength, guides my hand..” he muttered quietly, more to himself then Ryo as he envisioned a large majestic dragon circling about above them. In his head, he was in a dreamland it seemed where Dragon's ruled, where he ruled as their overlord. “Tell me brother, how goes your lightining training?” he asked slowly.

Watching his brother, it was easy to see that the training was having a pretty great toll on him, but Ryo didn't bother to run over to aid Genma. The two of them were both fairly strong, even if they were lowly classed shinobi. Ryo was confident in his brother's abilities and if he needed help all he needed to do was ask. "My training has gone pretty well so far. I have actually learned a lot from this village. It seems that it has a lot to offer us after all. I do wish to go to the Cloud Village eventually for that is where all the most impressive lightning techniques come from." Ryo was always looking for new forms of power. He needed to get Chidori and the Cloud techniques and he would be set for the next few years. His thirst for more power was never-ending. "Your training appears to have taken quite a toll."

"I'll live. If anything we've shown that we're resiliant." stated Genma with a smirk as he rubbed the backside of his hand against his mouth. The dust, sweat and grime would be removed as he slowly wiped his hand against his pants and chuckled. "Just don't become too attached to this place, they did try and kill us afterall." he stated with a tone of that suggested hidden malice. While he would not defect from this place, he also did not trust the inhabitants too well other then his own flesh and blood, and Hotaru. Standing with his legs spread slightly he would let out a steady sigh, his breathing once more becoming calm compared to the slow ragged breaths from earlier. This training thing was harder then he'd ever known, perhaps because he'd relied on his sharingan as a crutch the last time. No longer would he allow it to completely cripple him, instead he would use it in moderation.

"My technique is quite dangerous, so I shall not aim this one towards you at all. Feel free however to remain here and train Ryo." he stated slowly as he then turned and placed his hands before him in a simple seal. Many Ninja, when faced with the time, would prepare their chakra store before use. It was perhaps the smartest way to assess what was left.

Thunder Clap Technique

Effect: The jutsu will stun and immobilize a person by sending an electrical current through the air. The people affected would be immobilized for one turn.
Special: Handseals required
Drawback: Allies are also affected the the jutsu.
Description: The user makes a series of hand seals and stops on the last one, charging eletricity into their hands. The users spreads his hands out wide and claps them together. An invisible electric current is sent out, radiating outward from the user. It will stun and immobilize anyone in a 3 meter radius, long enough for the user to attack or escape.
Limit: Must know Lightning Release

Sighing, Ryo turned his eyes away from his brother, not really sure how to train the Thunder Clap technique. He thought back to when he had learned the Bolt Fang technique; he had seen many other lightning users around, and one in particular had helped him learn that jutsu. It didn’t take long for Ryo to scan the area and find that person. He quickly ran over to him and stopped in front of him. Ryo didn’t look happy nor sad nor any emotion; he merely looked like he had a thirst for more power because that’s all the young Uchiha male chose to show in his expression. “My name is Uchiha Ryo and you helped me train a technique just a little while ago. I was hoping that, since I figure you’re an experienced Lightning user, you could help me learn my next jutsu.” The one Ryo addressed scratched his chin for a moment, then shrugged and nodded. “Yes, I will help you. I know almost every technique in the Lightning release so it’s not that much of a problem. You may call me Isamu.” Ryo nodded as Isamu led him over to a more open place still pretty close to Genma’s location. “Watch closely,” Isamu instructed as he crouched down a little bit, spread his arms out, and kept his legs bent, but steady. He did a total of four handseals, an electrical current sparking during the last seal, and then clapped very loudly. Ryo, standing right in front of him, tried to talk, but he couldn’t. His entire body was stunned. He could’ve been killed by Isamu in that moment. When able to move again, Ryo simply smirked, knowing Isamu would explain more thoroughly now that he had finished.

“Everything that you need to do is in those four handseals that you saw me do. They build up both your chakra and electrical currents so that when you clap they are emitted into the air. The chakra fuses with the electricity during the last seal, which is why you saw that spark at the end of it. The electricity stuns anybody, ally or foe, up to three meters in front of you. It gives you enough time to either kill your opponent or flee depending upon the situation that you’re in. Now, I will tell you everything that you need to know about the handseals, and then you will mimic them just to be sure that you can do them. The technique itself is more in depth than you think.” Isamu took a deep breath and formed the handseals as he talked about them. “Ram is first, and, like every other seal that starts off a technique, it only builds up your chakra. It stirs it up in the core of your body. The second seal, Rat, stirs up the electricity in the body without adding it to the chakra. The third seal is Tiger and it rushes all of that electricity and chakra into both of your hands. The last seal, Ox, fuses both the electricity and chakra and prepares your body for the clap so that your body will be able to withstand the force that the technique unleashes.” The seals were all very familiar to Ryo so there was no need to really do them as he talked, but Isamu was still very helpful to Ryo. “Run through the seals a few times without actually doing the technique first.”

Sighing slightly, Ryo merely nodded. He knew that he could do all of this and he knew that Isamu was a Lightning Release master, but he still felt that he could do all of this effortlessly. He trusted in his sensei’s orders regardless. Closing his eyes, Ryo tried to remember all of the seals that his new teacher had told him about. He whispered them to himself, “Ram, Rat, Tiger, and Ox.” He performed the Ram handseal, which was putting the index and finger of both hand’s together with all the other fingers folded down, but one hand was slid up slightly higher than the other. Rat was covering the index and middle fingers of one hand with the other. Tiger was simply putting the index fingers of both hands together with the rest folded in on each other making it look like a tent. And, finally, the Ox handseal was the pinky and index finger sticking up with all of the other fingers on the other hand just sort of slide through. Though hard to explain in writing or verbally, Ryo could do all of these seals with relative ease. He did them a total of three times at a rapid speed before Isamu stopped him, simply nodding. “Good, now I want you to do these seals again, but add a bit of lightning and chakra with each of them so I can see a spark. I know you think this is childish, but your lightning and chakra manipulation must be near perfect before we can continue.”

Still trusting in his sensei’s instructions, Ryo went through all of them, at first just allowing the chakra to flow majestically through his body. He did it a second time and allowed the lightning element to run through his body in the same way, though he knew that the lightning traveled a lot faster than just chakra. He then fused the chakra with the lightning and went through them, staring at his hands the entire time, expecting to see a spark, but he never saw one. For some reason Ryo just couldn’t make the lightning spark on his hand. He was starting to get annoyed after the third time when Isamu interjected. “Not as easy as you though, huh? You’re thinking too much. Just let it happen.” Stopping for a moment to recompose himself, Ryo nodded and sighed lightly. He then went back through the set of handseals, not thinking about anything besides the noises around him. There were some crickets chirping, some birds tweeting, and then he could smell the air; it was as if rain was about to start falling. He had done the last seal when he opened his eyes, a blueish-white spark having gone off in his hands. A bit of smoke rose up as Ryo looked at Isamu. His sensei just nodded. He had finished phase one of their training and he felt as if he hadn’t even done anything. Cool.

“Now this next part will seem childish to you, but it does have purpose and meaning, so don’t dismiss it so quickly. Like you, I have specialized eyes, but not the Sharingan; I have the Hyuuga ability of the Byakugan. I can see chakra, and see how it flows through the body, so the next part of your training will be chakra control, lightning manipulation, and even learning how to clap. This technique actually requires you to clap a certain way and if you don’t do it that certain way this technique won’t be successful. So then, let’s get this started.” Isamu finished his little speech and tilted his head downward, closing his eyes. “Byakugan!” Veins all across the top half of his head sprang out at once, his eyes now a paler shade than before. How Ryo never noticed that this man had the Hyuuga’s pale eyes was a question to be answered. He suddenly remembered about Genma and the man of the pale eyes, so Ryo tried to make sure that his brother couldn’t see his sensei. A fight would surely escalate if the two happened to see each other. “Now, you will just use the Instant Spark technique continuously until I tell you to stop. I will tell you what you’re doing wrong with your chakra or lightning and we will fix it. Then we will go onto the clapping.” Ryo nodded, straightening his posture out, putting his fingers together, and keeping his head up and looking forward. He wanted to impress his new teacher. He was going to make sure that everybody knew the names Ryo and Genma Uchiha.

Holding the Ox handseal, Ryo felt the chakra current flow through his body like water in a river. Then came those rapids, that electrical current, that almost hindered Ryo for it was just a bit awkward to actually add the electricity into the chakra for some reason. He knew that not everybody got nature manipulation (controlling electricity) at first, but this was to a whole other level. Maybe this was Isamu’s point all along; he could see with the Byakugan now if Ryo really knew what he was doing with his chakra and lightning. Ryo couldn’t disappoint his newly appointed sensei by not even performing the simplest of tasks. Ryo put his best foot forward, pushing his lightning and chakra forth in an unexpected manner. He kept shoving his hand forward right after doing the Ox seal. At first noting happened, but over time the electricity got a bit more visible. It was nothing but his palm slicing forward at first, then came a very faint smell of something burning, then came a wisp of smoke rising off Ryo’s hand, and finally came the bluish-white glow that was the electricity itself. Soon the electricity was hard not to miss at all, and Isamu just smiled, nodding to Ryo his acceptance. “Just by using my Byakugan I can tell that you have developed a very refined chakra system. I knew that Uchiha had very extensive chakra systems, but yours is unlike any I have ever seen before, especially at your age. There is only one more thing we need to do before we actually attempt this technique for real. We need to teach you how to clap!”

Ryo felt a little bit nervous about this simply because it sounded silly to him. He knew how to clap, so what was the big deal about it? He soon found out that this was a lot harder than it sounded. “Just watch. I know you think I’m dumb for teaching you how to clap, but once you see what why I’m teaching you this, you’ll understand.” Ryo watched his teacher closely. Isamu straightened his back out and spread his large arms out widely. He then took a few moments before his hands slammed shut, closing the gap in a split second, and something simply incredible happened. A huge, almost blinding light set forth from his hands. It was pure lightning mixed with chakra. It was beautiful, and loud, and Ryo didn’t even know how he had done such a magical thing. “You take a moment to gather a very large amount of chakra and electricity into your hands and then emit all that chakra into the air between your hands. You must clap very quickly so that the chakra doesn’t spread through the air. The clap causes all of that chakra and electricity to escape in the form of lightning. It is loud and almost blinding, but it is essential to learning this technique. Once you do this we will only have the technique itself to master.”

Bringing his hands just a foot or so apart, Ryo began to muster all of this chakra and lightning into the core of his body, mixing it together to form that lightning-enhanced chakra that his body was used to maintaining now. He pushed all of that chakra and lightning into his hands and thought about what his master had told him just a minute ago. He needed to get this right on the first try to better impress his sensei. He smirked as he let out all of that chakra, keeping the lightning in his hands. Yes, Isamu had said that he should let both forces out of his palms and into the air, but everybody trained differently and to Ryo this just felt more right. Ryo knew that he still had to clap very quickly after releasing the chakra, so he moved his hands in one fluent motion. He activated the lightning in his hands at the last possible second, creating a blue aura around his hands that could only be seen by the Byakugan or the Sharingan. The sound waves broke in the air and the blinding flash was set forth. Isamu just nodded and smiled. “Perfect.”

“So far you have done very well. Now all we need to do is bring it all together so that we can fully master this technique. I know you’re ready. We will just jump right into it and you will show me all that you have learned. Remember, impress me.” Ryo looked at Isamu with a look of almost hate because he already knew that he wanted to impress his sensei. He looked into those pale eyes for a moment before shaking his head with a smirk. He hated all the inhabitants in Grass, even if some of them were willing to help him out. Ryo put his fingers together and straightened out his back. He wasn’t going to start into this technique just yet. He wanted to make sure he had his chakra and lightning energies all worked out first. He couldn’t perform any technique to its full potential if his chakra wasn’t at its finest, and he couldn’t perform a lightning attack if the lightning element in his body wasn’t working at its top game. Ryo made sure his posture was nothing other than perfect, put his middle and index fingers together, and began to fully master this technique starting with the most basic of energies: chakra.

He began to send out waves of chakra in circles right in front of him. Ryo knew that his teacher still had the Byakugan activated so he could no doubt see the chakra that was radiating off of the young Uchiha’s body. Ryo smirked as he pushed all the chakra out of the core of his body, just funneling it out so that he could get used to how it felt. He then added in hints of the lightning element a little at a time until he got tired of doing this and added in a lot at a time. The lightning sent electricity throughout Ryo’s body. He began to twitch a little bit with all the lightning running through his body, though he already knew this was normal for a shinobi who utilized the lightning release. Ryo opened his eyes and looked over at Isamu, who was simply nodding, but it seemed as if he wanted more, so Ryo would give him more. Ryo stopped sending out all that chakra-fused lightning and spread his arms out far apart. He was going to simply bring all that electricity and chakra together in a very weak version of Thunder Clap. He brought out all the chakra between his hands, and then activated the lightning in his palms so that a light blue aura appeared to those with specialized eyes. When Ryo’s hands collided, a giant, blinding flash went off, but this one made no sound.

Knowing that the only thing that stood between him and the technique was the handseals, Ryo cut off all the chakra and energy that was running through his body as he put his hands together. He began to go through the seals as he had done before. He muttered them as he went through them. “ ]“Ram, Rat, Tiger, and Ox.” All of them were now second nature to him, but Ryo, as stated previously, knew that handseals were the basics to know for almost every Ninjutsu technique there was. He let out a brief sigh as he then pumped chakra through his body. He drew the energy out of the core of his body at his chest and the energy flowed through his body, through his shoulders, his arms, and into his hands. The chakra filled there until Ryo added the lightning element to it. He didn’t perform the technique just yet, though. He simply released all of that chakra and lightning into the air, making nothing happen but a few zaps here and there. Ryo looked at Isamu, who nodded approvingly for probably the millionth time. “You can perform this technique now. Paralyze me and our training will be over.”

Ryo smirked. “With pleasure, sensei,” though the last part was said rather sarcastically. The Uchiha closed his eyes and brought his hands together. He did the first handseal, Ram, and the chakra reacted in the core of his body. He did things out of order this time, but as long as everything got done he didn’t know what the problem was. He did Rat, which got the lightning element ready, then Tiger, which fused the lightning with the chakra to create the correct energy needed for Thunder Clap to work successfully. Ox was the last technique, which basically shoved all of that chakra and lightning into both of the hands so that all Ryo needed to do was clap. He extended both of his arms out greatly and released all of the chakra, keeping it in between his hands. He brought his hands together in a loud SMACK, releasing all of that lightning. He looked at Isamu, who wasn’t able to move. Ryo poked him and laughed a little bit. Isamu came back from his paralyzed state and smirked. “We’re done here.”

"Brother, I'm taking off for the moment. There are some things in this village that I wish to seek out, particularly dealing with the people. I need to know who is doing what so that I can better train and prepare myself for the Chuunin Exams." Ryo began walking away with the thought of power looming around the depths of his mind. He knew that the Exams were not for a few more months, but he really just wanted to get stronger and participate in them. At least there he would be able to show off the true strength of the Uchiha clan. He was far behind his schedule. He needed to catch up. He needed to do it right now in order to show the true might of the Uchiha.
