Tanjiro walked down the streets of Waterfall, the village was lively. His head kept turning from the left to the right, as he looked at the shop names, with kids running from candy shop to candy shop, hoping their parents would buy them some treats. Looking at the smile upon their faces was a little depressing for Tanjiro Heh, if only my parents could do that… he said to himself.
The dull and too lavish memories haunted him. “I have to go do something to get my mind off this depressing sight” he whispered to himself, walking off the main streets and to the outskirts of Waterfall. He’d walk along the dirt, and rock, baron devoid of human life. His hands in his pockets his head steady towards the ground. His mind was in another place, memories of his past wouldn’t let him be.
Coming to a halt he whispered to himself “Should I comprise to what my parents want me to be? And I wrong to feel like this?!” coming to the conclusion that he was nothing more than a burden on his faimily, taking up space, insignificant in every way to their will. As he stood there depressed he heard the light sound of footsteps.
Tanjiro’s hair stood on end as he grabbed the hilt of his sword quickly, though it was too late. His eyes widened at the sight of a blade beside his neck, firmly held. The sun glint upon the tip of the sword, Tanjiro’s hand still firm upon his sword. “Ah, slow reaction time for a sword user… You sure you know how to use that thing, Tanjiro-san?” asked the person apparently his sensei. Tanjiro slipped his other hand into his other pouch, pulling out a kunai as he prepared for a quick strike.
“So… Did I catch you at a bad time?” asked his sensei, Tanjiro gripped his sword firmly as he’d tried a spin move to strike the flesh of his sensei, though missed. His sensei evaded his kunai by leaping into a back flip “Too slow…” his sensei said with a grin upon his face. His sensei was, Tanjiro’s height, with a navy blue shirt and pants with sandals, wearing goggles on his forehead, with a bandage around both of his arms.
Tanjiro withdrew his sword, holding both his sword and kunai as he went into a fighting stance “Ah, so you’re familiar with Yajuu No Mai style as well eh… but your reaction time is poor… Ha-ha let me guess… You only know the stance?!” the man said chuckling. Tanjiro looked down in embarrassment “Yes…” he said. His sensei’s cocky attitude disappeared as he felt bad about Tanjiro. “Geez, you’re like what 16? Get yourself together” his sensei said sighing. Tanjiro looked up and attempted to look calm though you could tell he was depressed.
