Training - Medical;
As a young boy of the Snow Village, lay asleep in his bed, a figure in a hooded coat, crept through his house to his door. He turned the knob of the door slowly, creeping through to the boy's bed, and his body slumbering upon it. The hooded figure leaned over the boy's body inhaling a large breath;
“WAKE UP SUNSHINE!”, the man yelled, Geroshou flying up through the air, disappearing up upon the roof were he was now gripping on the light for dear life. The figure, now found to have a rough male voice, heaved in laughter, lurching over, sending his hood back from his head. The man was old, in about his sixties, and has quite a few wrinkles across his face, but nether the less showed him to be wise, gentle and have a lot of tears rolling down his cheeks from all his laughing.
“KERIAMA!, YOU CRAZY OLD KOOT!”, Geroshou yelled, still gripping up to the light on the roof, “Are you trying to give me a heart attack!?!?”
The old man gripped down to the Geroshou's leg, swinging him down form the light, sending him crashing into the floor.
“WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT CALLING ME OLD!”, He yelled, his now clenched fist shaking in front of his face, “THE WRINKLES ARE A GENETIC THING!”
“Alright, alright, calm down Keriama, I was just joking around”, Geroshou said, standing up and walking over to his wardrobe, “Although, we both know its true”.
A vein pulsed upon Keriama's forehead, his blood levels rising, his whole body trembling from his anger and annoyance.
“Let's see how funny you think you are when...”, Keriama all of a sudden burst into a roar, “YOUR DOING ALL THESE CHORES!”
He thrust a large scroll into his hands, as it unraveled, flowing down to the floor, then rolled across the room, Geroshou's jaw dropped to the floor, his eyes wide open.
“YOU EXPECT ME TO DO ALL OF THIS OLD MAN!”, He yelled in reply to the scroll, “I WAS GOING TO TRAIN TODAY!”
“Your not to do any training until all these chores are done young man, AND NO BUT'S!”, He roared as Geroshou opened his mouth to protest.
“Yes sir”, He said putting on his clothes and slumping out the door of his room. As he walked down the hallway he thought,
“Ill just do training in between jobs, I'm sure I can find a way”.
“And to make sure you don't do training your taking Seroshi with you”, Keriama called from behind him. Geroshou turned to reply to the old man when a huge bounding dog, leapt up joyfully at Geroshou, tackling him down to the floor, slobber dribbling down onto his face by the bucket full.
As Geroshou walked out the front door, his casual clothes on and a drool infested dog by his side, he stretched up his whole body, looking up towards the sky. He noticed it was a warm day for the Snow Village, and for the Snow Village that is around -15 Degrees Celsius. The snow around his feet wasn't as high, not much of a breeze, and the sky was clear, the sun beaming down upon him and the surrounding world.
Keriama's home was right on the side of the main road of the Village Hidden in the Snow, receiving a lot of merchant brochures for nearby stalls and sometimes samples and gifts for the jobs he does around town. It was a small building with only 2 bedrooms and a single bathroom, the ongoing war of the 'dunny', firing into action almost every morning. The outside seemed to show the same sort of image as an old cottage you would see in the wilderness or forests of America, completely made form wooden pillars, while a brown painted, concrete chimney rose up through the top. The inside was small and comfortable, the walls splashed with a creamy color, and the fire always ripping up through the fire wood, sending heat surging through the cold wooden house.
Closely related to the fire place was Geroshou's first chore, collecting more firewood.
“Oh man, Not firewood”, he said looking down to the scroll and raising his fist in front of his face, trembling either form the temperature or his anger, “Why can't the old coot get his own stinking firewood”.
“Heard that!”, came the old man's voice from inside. This caused Geroshou to jump, sending him into a leisurely pace down the road, led along by the dog. As he walked down the snow covered streets, he came to the market square, pushing through the crowd about as easily as it is to fit an elephant through its cage bars.
“Excuse me, pardon me... ARRGG! MY FOOT!”
Geroshou grew tired of this, calling up Seroshi and gripping down to his body, leaping up onto a rooftop, slightly slipping from its frosty surface. He held the heavy dog out in front of him like a baby, making it ten times harder to balance on the rooftops. As he got passed the crowd of people he leapt down from the roof, putting down Seroshi. As he walked along he noticed a small child huddled up on the front step of an old cottage. It was a small girl of about four, she was wearing only a ragged bed sheet and a pair of torn jeans. As Geroshou walked on he noticed the large amount of snow upon the roof above her.
“Excuse me little girl, I don't think it's wise t....”, At that moment the snow slipped from the roof, slamming down upon the child. Geroshou darted down to the snow, digging down deep within it, trying to find the girl. Seroshi pulled out the girl's body from the snow to his right, the girl unconscious and seemed dead cold at the touch.
“HELP!, HELP!”, Geroshou called from the old house, but noone could hear him over the bartering going on a few hundred meters down the street.
Geroshou had to act quickly, if she didn't get warmed up now, she would die, it was to far to the Hospital.
“C'mon Geroshou, think!”, He delved deep into his mind trying to find a solution to the life and death situation in front of him. He remembered a long time ago when his brother had fallen into the icy lake, Keriama had used a technique to warm Ryu's body, by simply transferring chakra into the patient's chest.
“That's it boy”, Geroshou said to Seroshi, “I need to use chakra to warm up her body”.
Geroshou closed his eyes, now knowing what he had to do. He sent his hands out in front of his chest, forming them so they looked like his was praying. He channeled the chakra through his body, channeling it down to his hands, feeling the warmth grow. He muttered the words, “Heat Seeker”, before placing his hands down onto the girls chest, releasing down the chakra through the skin of his hands, down into the girl's chest. He felt the chakra flow down through her organs, gradually warming them up. Warmer and warmer, he felt the the girls skin becoming warmer, while her skin getting its natural color back. Geroshou looked down to the girl's face as she stirred, opening her eyes, and looking up at him. He then helped her up, carrying her down the road, running with great speed.
“You saved me”, she said in a whisper, her voice gentle.
“You'll be okay now”, Geroshou replied smiling at her.
As he darted down the streets of the Snow Village, he came to the hospital, taking her inside where the Medical Ninja took over.
“You did very well, young man”, The doctor said to him, “You should think about becoming a medical ninja like me”.
Geroshou smiled to the doctor thanking him for helping the girl, then walked out form the hospital and walking over to Seroshi.
“That was a close call”, Geroshou said to Seroshi, patting his head, “Let's get back to these chores of ours”.
Geroshou then set off down the road once again, walking down through the gates of the Snow Village to collect the firewood Keriama wanted.
