Koorisuberi (Ice Sliding)
Rank: “D”
Skill: Kekkei Genkai - Ninjutsu, Supplementary
Effect: Allows the user to move around on the ground or water as if they were skating on ice. Cuts travel time by half.
Special: “Hand Seals” – Serpent, Dragon, Tiger
Drawback: It is easy to track down anyone who uses this technique anywhere besides an ice terrain.
Description: By manipulating water molecules and chakra to underneath their feet, the user slides across the ground or water as if they were skating on ice allowing them to travel much faster then the average shinobi’s running speed with less strain on their muscles. With each step, the area stepped on is left covered with some frost.
Limit: Anyone of the Haku Bloodlimit may learn. Requires both the water and ice release. Requires “Water Creation” and “Ice Creation”

Itsuru found a clearing between the snow covered pines. They were weighted down from a fresh snowfall. An occational bluster would send a plume of powder blowing through the fridged air. She hoped to learn to skate today without the help of metal blades. She formed the handseals serpent, dragon, tiger and sent the chakra to her feet.
She felt energy surge to her feet. Confused, she took a step forward. With the jutsu in effect, her foot slid in frount of her unexpectedly causing her to slip and fall into the fresh snow. Covered in white, she attempted to stand, only to slip and fall again. She halted the chakra flow to her feet and regained the ability to stand. She redid her handsigns once safly on her feet. Soon, the chakra began to flow back to her feet. Tentatively, she pushed off with her left foot.
She glided forward slowly, and with a surge of adrenolin rushed through her body. She moved her right foot infront and pushed again, propelling her faster. Soon, she was skating arround the clearing, leaving an invisable trail of ice behind in her wake. She wondered how she was to stop...She began to panic as she increased speed with each push forward. Not sure of any other way, she outstretched her arm and hooked onto a thin tree. She started to spin arround the tree, but only picked up speed due to her feet propetually forming ice under her. Her arm became unhooked, so she canceled the jutsu and careened forward into a snowdrift head first.
Itsuru pulled herself out of the snowbank and brushed off her sleeves and sholders. After regaining her balance, she recast her jutsu and was soon gliding over the ground again. She needed to find an effective way to stop, otherwise this skill wouldnt help. Instead of simply canceling the effects, she gradually began to reduce the ammount of chakra that flowed to her feet. Her momentum started to slow down and soon, she was gliding along at a slow pace. When she figured she was going slow enough, she stepped forward and before her foot met the ground, she cut the chakra flow and was able to stop while standing(she did stumble a bit, but she wanted me to leave that out XP)
Now that she was able to stop, she would try to attack. With a quick flash of handsigns, she was off speeding arround the clearing once more. She drew a senbon from her tool kit and threw it at a tree. Because of her movement, the weapon flew off target and landed in a snowdrift, partially exposed. She skated over and picked her weapon out of the snow. She tried to hit her target again, but to no avail. Puzzled, she glided aimlessly arround the clearing...maybe instead of throwing at the tree...she thought....i should try throwing a foot or so before i arrive...The snow genin threw a second early of the tree, and her weapon landed with a resounding thud.
Itsuru wanted to try to skate on water. She made her way to a nearby creek. She skated parellel to the water for a few seconds, wondering if she would be able to maintain the same chakra flow while on water. She moved her left foot on the surface, and she saw a thin covering of ice floating ontop of the water. She needed to apply a bit more chakra, so the frozen water would keep her weight. With a burst of energy, she put all of her weight onto the water. Her foot began to shake up and down on the uncooperative water, but it soon froze as she glided on the smooth glass-like surface.
Her final test would be a jump. She found a snowdrift about three feet high. She took her place about 25 yards away. Itsuru pushed forward, gaining speed with each glide. Soon, she was speeding twords the drift. She hit the drift and shot into the air. A tail of ice shavings came off of her feet, freezing the moisture in the air. About 5 yards after the jump, she landed and slid twords a tree. The kunoichi braced herself for impact as she released the jutsu, causing her to lurch forwards and roll into the trunk of the tree. Rubbing the back of her head, a generous clump of snow fell off a branch and landed on her head. She stood up and laughed "Ill be fine as long as a tree isnt right after my jump!"
