Not many people get to know Kaisei, but not because he's physically scary or intimidating. They just don't initiate the conversation. Any 'Get-Chicks-Quick' book will tell you that initiating the conversation is half the battle. The truth is, while Kaisei doesn't look scary, people often find him to be. Kaisei is what's known as a 'Death Seeker'. This just means that he wants to find the perfect death. Not any time soon, but eventually. If you're going to die one day, why not do it the way you want to?Appearance:
Kaisei's Death Seeker beliefs are not really an attribute of him. They're more of a conversation piece. The REAL Kaisei is a caring person who only wants the best for his friends. While he's naturally loud and sarcastic in a group, a one-on-one discussion with him shows the side of him that more people like. This side listens, reasons, and tries to help through encouraging words and advice. This is probably why Kaisei is more prone to female friends than male.
In a combat situation, Kaisei has learned that being calm and patient has its rewards. He strategizes, analyzes, and forms a plan. They don't always work, but Kaisei can improvise pretty well. The one thing he despises is the 'bloodthirsty warrior' type, and often flees since their tactics are almost always overly violent and unhonorable. No one is completely innocent, and Kaisei's performed his share of violent acts, but massacres and genocide are way beyond his limits.
Of course, there are a few odd quirks that don't fit in with any category. Kaisei has two cats (a tabby named Vega and a bi-colored cat named Flufferpig [for obvious reasons]), an addiction to cola drinks, and natural talents for bar games and juggling. He can also cook pretty well, slam down sake with the best of them, play the piano, and count cards like a pro. His hobbies include reading, music, botany, and formerly taxidermy. The latter was dropped after an investigation involving missing cats.
At 6'3 and weighing 157 lbs., Kaisei is proud to have no excess body weight on him. This is thanks to his devotion to his personal training system. His shoulder-length hair is dark brown, but only seems so when in the sunlight. Otherwise it looks black. Due to an unfortunate incident in his past, Kaisei only has one eye. It's his right one, which is the same shade as his hair and has a little shimmer in it that people find to be beautiful. That only makes him wish that he had both eyes. His second eye socket is empty and the eyelid is sewn shut. In order to avoid scaring people, this eye is covered with a white cloth-like eyepatch that is hidden by hair everywhere except where it crosses his face.Bloodlimit: None
There are no major scars on Kaisei's body, and he's mostly responsible for the small ones that are there. Three tattoos grace his skin. The first was a drunken mistake of a tattoo on his empty eyelid with the drawing of a Sharingan that's good for a laugh every now and then. The second is a large kunai that spans the length of his right forearm. The third one is another joke. It's a chibi version of himself that covers his entire back. Chibi Kaisei is standing on an enlarged drawing of the plate from the Stone village headbands.
Clothing is nothing to Kaisei. He feels that he does not need to dress spectacularly to let people know who he is, so he keeps it simple. In place of a traditional headband, the white cloth that covers his eye has been embroidered with the Stone village symbol. A single faux gold necklace is around its neck, and when opened it plays a soothing lullaby which he believes helps him calm down even quicker. His shirts are all tight white t-shirts that he hates to get dirty, and his pants are contrasting black slacks whose legs stop at a pair of fuzzy black slipper-socks. The socks are solely for comfort reasons. A black belt with a Stone village buckle is occasionally worn, but it serves no real purpose.
The main pieces of clothing that Kaisei cannot live without are his black duster and top hat. Both are tossed aside so they don't get damaged during combat, but that hasn't prevented anything. The duster is stitched together at the arms and cuffs with heavy white thread, and a ring of the same thread runs around the middle of the hat.

GenJutsu Techniques:Jutsu Shō, 術消, (Technique Neutralize)
Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S" Rank
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: This jutsu cancels or impedes the occurring of the opponent's technique. It uses the same amount of chakra as the jutsu it intends to cancel.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: You must know the technique that the opponent is doing. In order to stop a certain type of technique the user must know the rank for that technique. This means in order to stop D you must know D. In order to stop S you must know S.
Description: A strong technique that has been passed down from ninja to ninja just in case of a ninja is being attacked by a technique that may go against the person and that they know the technique. The user must know the technique in order to stop the technique in question. When a technique is already out in play the user is unable to stop the technique. The user must try to stop the technique during the preparation of the technique. A very helpful technique indeed if the opponent attacks with a technique that has a long preparation. In order to stop a D Rank Technique the user must learn the D Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a C Rank Technique the user must learn the C Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a B Rank Technique the user must learn the B Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a A Rank Technique the user must learn the A Rank version of this technique. Description: What occurs is that the user takes the time to push down into the ground their own chakra. The user may slam their hands against the ground in order to use this technique or just by pushing their chakra down to the ground. A user can gain the capability of grabbing onto the very ground and molding a piece of earth into a hardened like rock. The more the user learns and the higher the Difficulty class the user becomes the more they are capable of mastering this type of technique. When first learned the user is only capable of formulating rock into the size of their hand. When the user learns the "C" Rank, version this type increases to five meters in radius. Each time learned after that, the distance increases by ten feet giving a total distance of thirty-five meters in a radius distance. For each Difficulty class the User is the larger number this distance becomes. Each Difficulty class after C The distance increases by Ten meters. Birth
It wouldn't be fair to say that everything turned out well for Kaisei or his parents when he was brought into the world. His father was a big, burly ninja who believed in brute force before common sense and his mother was a ninja-turned-scholar who researched and developed new jutsus for anyone who had enough money to pay. When little Kaisei was first discovered, his parents rushed to get married before the baby was born so they could face their respective families with pride instead of fear. The ceremony was held in a small building that was an adult bookstore by day and a chapel/brothel by night. The two were married at a very low figure.
After the wedding, Kaisei's parents returned to his mother's house and plotted various ways to tell their clans. Eventually they decided on winging it. The next morning each one told their clan, which had a similar response. That response included the throwing of flatware and the loud chanting of "Get the **** out". The worst part of the experience was they didn't even get to mention the baby.
Each parent was successful enough to live seperately, so living together was no big financial deal. They continued doing their jobs for the next few months until the baby came. In a last-ditch effort to reunite with their clans, Kaisei's parents decided to show the baby to them. Needless to say, they were in awe. That lasted about ten minutes before the new flatware was chucked across the room. The demands of why the other members of the clan hadn't been informed earlier followed them out the door, where they stayed forever. Neither of Kaisei's parents ever returned to their clans. Instead, they became an indepentent clan known as 'Tsuru'.Childhood
Things were already looking down for Kaisei, even though he didn't know it yet. He grew up thinking that it was customary for children to only have their parents, and occasionally a sibling, as family. When he was enrolled in the Ninja Academy, he was constantly confused by lineage. Children would constantly brag about who their parents and grandparents were, and Kaisei couldn't keep up with that. Being a curious little kid, he asked his parents about grandparents and other family members. They made up some stuff in hopes of him dropping it, but instead he repeated it on the schoolgrounds. The other kids told their parents, who were enraged at Kaisei's mother and father for lying about what had happened. The truth wasn't exactly hidden, so the parents told their kids what REALLY happened. The kids told Kaisei and began making fun of him because his parents weren't wanted.
Kaisei repeatedly came home in tears due to the other kids' jeering, so his parents decided it was time to patch things up. Kaisei's father decided to take him to his clan house, where he would simultaneously show everyone how cute his son was and beg for them to spend some time with them. The plan was simple: Kaisei would hide to the side of the door while his father knocked and tried to reconcile with whoever answered. When things were on the up side he would show his son, everything would be okay, and Kaisei could lead a normal life.
How it really happened was much more amazing. Kaisei hid beside the door, as planned. His father knocked until his own father answered the door. Kaisei's dad begged for some kind of contact for the sake of his son. Kaisei's grandfather not only said no, but also pierced his son on the spot with a blade because he was a disgrace to the clan. The ten-year-old by the door got away, but not before his grandfather saw him and instantly wanted to bring his own son back to life.
Kaisei got home safely, but he was a mental wreck. The memory of a sword going through his father's gut right in front of him continued to play in his mind, and it made him sick. He refused to eat or sleep and constantly cried. After a month, he couldn't even lay down without having to throw up. The local medic said that this was because Kaisei's stomach and esophogus were covered in ulcers. He was put on some strong anti-depressants and medicine for the ulcers, but the only change was in his physical health.
During one of his crying sprees, Kaisei couldn't help but remember his father's words before their trip. He kept saying how his clan was known for this and that, and how they might even show him a few of their special ninja skills. Even though the words were encouraging, the tone of his voice was the best part. He sounded so hopeful and excited about the whole thing. This memory triggered the hardest burst of tears that Kaisei had ever endured. Then, out of nowhere, it all just...stopped.
Back to the medics, who christened Kaisei some unspellable medical condition that was just an elongated way of saying that something had driven him to temporary insanity. There were no medications that could permanently keep him at bay, and the ones that had SOME effect didn't come cheap. Therapy was imminent, but for the time being he was placed back in the Ninja Academy and put on another strong medication that would hopefully balance him out.Teenage Years
Kaisei's graduating and becoming a genin also marked the first of his therapy sessions. It was a typical setup involving the heavily-medicated child, a quack therapist who used mirroring all the time, and a mother who was running low on work assignments and money. The one good idea that Kaisei's therapist pitched was finding a hobby that the boy enjoyed. It would serve as a retreat when things got too overwhelming. Kaisei decided to give it a shot, but he couldn't find anything that was peaceful enough to calm him down. Ninja training was instantly out since it only hyped him up even more. Animals were too unpredictable and collecting trinkets was a pain when they started disappearing.
A year after his therapy stopped, Kaisei found peace through plants. They the perfect size and offered an array of difficulties when it came to caring for them. His room was vented and lit well enough so he had a comfortable atmosphere, so that was where he began his new hobby. He was still able to fit in training and the rarity of social time, but botany soon controlled the majority of his day. Pruning, watering, and new plants became exciting. It wasn't until Kaisei found himself turning down a potential date for his plants that he thought he was going overboard.
Kaisei cut back his plant time (no pun intended) and opened his mind to new things. He had a few girlfriends, partook in some harmless vandalism, and just generally relaxed with friends. Although he couldn't see it, his mother noticed his change and weaned him off of his medication by replacing them with sugar pills. He noticed a few months after the switch and didn't really care. For the first time in his memory, he was genuinely happy.Adult Years
When Kaisei was nineteen, a spur-of-the-moment study session led him to what he considered a fascinating topic: Life. Easy to make, easy to end, but full of difficulties known nowhere else. Each one was unique and had sky-high potential for both good and evil. Some people began to distance themselves from Kaisei because of his fascination, but he didn't mind. That was just one of the quirks that made that person's life unique.
As Kaisei furthered his studying, he found a concept known as Death Seeking. Originally, the Death Seekers were a cult who lived to die. Their ultimate goal in life was to die. Kaisei liked the concept but disliked some of the thoughts involved, so he claimed himself as a sort of "Neo-Death Seeker". The difference between his Death Seeking and that of ancient times was that he wanted to choose his death. It would have to be something meaningful that left a mark somewhere, but the possibilities were too grand to narrow down.
Even though he completely believed in Death Seeking, he didn't allow it to rule his life. Botany had taught him the value of limitations, and Death Seeking would be much more severe if he became obsessed with it. Still, he didn't allow it to go unnoticed either. Death Seeking developed Kaisei's Nindo, "I have a choice in life...and in death." To prove to his remaining friends that he was still the happy person he had been for the past few years, he devoted one night to throwing a party for those said friends. In the end, like all parties, some stupid (yet funny) life-scarring mistakes were made. These choice mistakes involved extremely heavy drinking and the purchasing of three tattoos. Two of them were nothing close to serious, but those two became the two that Kaisei enjoys the most.Recently
Recently, Kaisei hasn't had much going on. He decided to tear away from his studies to focus on becoming a better ninja, which is proving to be a challenge. Even though, it's the ancient tradition of ninja arts that will one day lead Kaisei to the death that he chooses for himself.
