Primary Weapon:
Personality: Combative[/u]Name: Sho-Ro Nagai Subeta Misuto (Crying Long Sword of Mist)
Rank: B
Type: Main, Weapon, Sword.
Effect: This is a regular sword, but it was crafted especially for the villages of Rain and Mist. It has a series of jutsus dealing with water-based attacks and defenses that go along with it.
Special: Must learn the stances/weight techniques to use.
Drawback: The weapon itself is very large, so it is hard to move around unless you train with it a bit. If you don’t have the Water Release then it’s pretty much useless to you as well.
Description: This weapon isn’t called a long sword for nothing. It is particularly long and weighs about fifty pounds. Nobody really knows the exact materials it is made out of so it is a mystery as to why it is so heavy; it could just be because of how wide and long it is. The sword is about five feet long and six inches wide. The blade is obviously sharpened so that the very slightest touch of it anywhere along the blade would cause blood. There are no scratches or really any imperfections at all on the sword. It was finely crafted and has remained in a superb condition ever since its creation. The handle is a dark green color and the blade is a dark shade of silver. There is a design from the bottom of the handle to the tip of the blade that glows a faint blue color. The design is two dragons spiraling around each other. Nobody knows the significance of this either. It called the Crying Long Sword because water drips down from the dragons’ eyes and runs down the side of the blade, making it look like the sword is crying. This only happens when the user unsheathes the sword, though.
Limit: Not necessary, but should know Water Release. Must be C-Ranked ninja. The techniques must have been passed down or the weapon will be useless to whoever gets it.
Cost: 5,600 Ryo.
Jin is, and always has been, the kind of person who goes around picking fights with people, but it is always for a reason. He is a brawler by nature and follows the teachings and styles of a brawler, so he is constantly going into taverns, bars, and just the streets of Mist getting into fights quite deliberately to strengthen himself. Though he isn’t that old, he doesn’t have a reputation at all, so he wishes to change that. He wants to be known as a good fighter. He wants to bring further honor to his clan, and he wants to do it through the ways of his own art: fighting. Senseless fighting does lead to places if used in the right ways. Jin picks the biggest, strongest men and women wherever he goes, insults them directly, and then fights them. Though he has gotten his ass handed to him on a number of occasions, it’s worth it because with every fight he just comes up with newer techniques or he figures something out he didn’t know before. It’s always worth it.
Appearance:
Since he is a Hoshigake clan member, the surface of Jin’s body ranges from a dark blue color to a lighter gray color. He has a rather slim shape, most of his body weight being muscle. A lot of what appears to be skin is actually cartilage, making his body a bit scalier and rougher than just regular skin. Jin stands pretty tall at 6’2 and weighs in around two hundred pounds, which is definitely shown by the bulky shape that he possesses. It is very easy to see that he trains a lot by the sheer muscle shown all over his body, particularly in his arms. Inside of his mouth there are rows of teeth (more than the regular person) that all have very sharp tips. His nose is much slimmer than the regular person’s, and the pupils of his eye are much smaller, and are completely black. Flanking his eyes are three rows of gills that have curved ends that allow Jin the ability to breathe under water indefinitely. Along with these other odd features, Jin has black hair that is usually spiked up. This is probably the only normal feature about the shark-shinobi.Bloodlimit: None.
Moving away from the physical aspects to actual clothing and gear, Jin wears a long, black robe with the toxic symbol on it in yellow, black, and purple (just as it is in the picture). The robe goes from the tips of his toes all the way up to his chin, covering the bottom half of his mouth. The symbol on his robe has no general meaning to anybody other than Jin; he keeps this a secret. Beneath the robe is a plain, black shirt and plain, black leggings, just to cover his body up. On his back is a sheath containing his great sword, quite possibly his most prized possession since it is his main method of combat. He wears simple black shoes; there’s nothing special about them. The sword Jin carries with him on all times lies in a sheath and has a strap that goes diagonally across his back. His Mist headband is attached to the hilt of his sword, showing everybody where Jin resides.

~See Below~History:
Jin underwent the Ritual of the Shark at a very young age and doesn’t remember any of it at all. Both of his parents were part of the Hoshigake clan and had given him the ritual as soon as they possibly could. Living in the Water Country, it wasn’t exactly that hard to find a full-grown shark to kick off the ritual. The shark that was gathered was a Blue Shark. All of the fifty incisors that were gathered were from Great White Sharks. Jin’s father was the one who went out, bought the ink, cut his finger, and began the actual ritual. The ritual was done outside of Jin’s family’s home, on the outskirts of the Mist Village so that nobody would intrude upon them. Jin’s body sat Indian-style in the center of the black circle that stretched out ten meters in diameter. The Blue Shark lay in front of the young shinobi as he closed his eyes and meditated, getting lost in a trance as his father did the required handseals to really kick off the ritual. By the end of the ritual, Jin took on the characteristics of the Blue Shark. The Blue Shark was known to have a mostly dark blue surface with a white belly; Jin had mostly dark blue skin with a lighter tone of gray covering some of his body. His nose was shaped a bit longer than most others because of his shark in the ritual and his gills were even slightly curved at the ends. Jin’s eyes were also morphed into giant bulges of black. This was the result of the Ritual of the Shark.[/size]
Moving past this initial ritual that is mandatory for the clan, there are two passive abilities that all Hoshigake members need to have. The first one is the Spirit of the Shark, which dramatically increases the user’s chakra pool, and the second one is Strength of the Shark, which greatly increases the user’s sheer strength. Jin learned both of these from his father. While he had a mother who worked very hard for both the Mist Village and the clan, Jin had always just grown closer to his father for some reason. His father taught him everything he needed to know about the advanced chakra circulatory system and how it differed from that off the regular shinobi’s. Jin was also taught many things about sharks, the cartilage that covered his body, and the muscles that granted him more strength than most people. He was taught every difference between Hoshigake clan members and the ordinary ninja. At the end of all of these teachings, Jin was put through the harshest training of his entire life, and he was still pretty young, so he became disciplined very fast. He learned how to take orders from his superiors during this period of his life. His father actually fought him and wouldn’t stop until Jin was either hurt too badly to continue or he was unconscious. The more and more he fought, the more and more he would use up chakra and have to unlock the reserves of chakra that he didn’t really even think about. He was put through exercises daily as well to increase the general strength of his body. By the time he was sixteen he was stronger than some full-grown shinobi.
But, just a few weeks after he turned sixteen, Jin’s mother was killed while traveling across the Fire Country. The people who killed her, suspected to be Leaf ninja, were never found; her body was the only thing discovered. While Jin didn’t have very close ties to his mother, he was still crushed, as was his father. The stupid thing would’ve been to go into Fire, trying to find clues. They stayed in Mist and continued to train and get stronger and stronger. Jin, taught by his father and by experience with his own fights, became adept in the Brawler Style and he also learned a lot about the Water Release, the Chakra Gates, and the Hoshigake techniques. Jin spent the entire year between when he turned sixteen to when he turned seventeen just training with his father, getting stronger both mentally and physically. He didn’t have any friends and he didn’t have any loved ones. It was only his father and him. When word got around that the Chuunin Exams were coming up, it only excited Jin more. He needed to get those missions done so that he could attend… He wanted to restore as much honor as possible to the Hoshigake Clan. He was going to do it. And he was going to do it now.
