The grip sealed the bond between Hiro and this girl, Emiko. How deep the bond between them ran was still a mystery to him; the Masamune lacked any form of experience on this kind of subject so he was a bit uneasy about it to be honest. For now he would simply push aside his captivation to the side and focus on the true nature of their meeting... the mission that they now shared. Each would try to bring about change in their own way while still working together. Emerald eyes observed the young Emiko's figure, it was the first time since their initial meeting that he actually took the time to observe her solely based up on her physical appearance. His observations left nothing to spare and in the end he found nothing to complain about.
When his new companion flinched in what seemed to be a sign of weakness, he instinctively flinched as well. His intentions were to grab her and give her some support so she did not fall but she managed that much on her own. Hiro watched as she broke out in to a spell of coughing. Though there was clear hint of concern for his new companion found within his eyes, he did not move to aid her. Perhaps she was getting ill? He forced himself to keep in mind the fact that he had only just approached her for the first time not but an hour ago. Anything that had afflicted her before this point was beyond his knowledge... perhaps she had a long standing illness he knew nothing about... so many thoughts flooded his head, he surely was not used to dealing with people like this.
He made sure to not let his uncertainty show in his face as he watched her regain her normalcy, or as close to it as was possible given her condition. Rest was indeed a good idea... he did not want his new 'friend' to gain any kind of serious conditions, they had a great deal to accomplish after all. Emiko's next suggestion was one he had to mull over quite a bit... he knew the place she spoke of, it was the capital of Kusa no Kuni and was a very populated place indeed. It may not be in his best interest to be flaunting his presence about in places with so many eyes and ears as a nation's capital... but on the other hand it was the closest place he could think of to provide a good rest for Emiko.

"Very well, Let's head to Aokusa and find you a place to rest. I wouldn't mind taking a load off either for that matter."
Though he still did not like the thought of showing himself in such a place, he liked the idea of his comrade becoming any more sickly even less. The next off however was where he would draw the line. Did she really expect him to ride that... thing? He eyed it and then took in to account his own size and how much stress that would put on the beast... and even if he were of a size that allowed him for such a thing, he still believed he would decline the offer. Hiro had something of a... fear, when he thought about riding on animals... never could explain it but he would leave that debate for some time when the matter was less pressing. "I... Think I'll pass. I have walked a good long while with these two legs of mine. A bit longer won't kill me right?"
With that, they would set out. Hiro followed closely along side the horse as they walked the path that wold take them to the town they had chosen as their next destination. As they ventured he could not help but allow his mind to drift here and there with thoughts about what the future may hold; it was a practice he did not often allow himself the pleasure of partaking in very often... but for this special occasion he figured he might make an assumption. Today had turned out to be a good day thus far after all... hopefully it would stay that way once they arrived.
