A miracle, divine fate had finally answered his prayers as he heard a scream of agony. Not that he wasn't grateful, but something did not make sense. The water levels outside of his ice wall had receded as pain enveloped his body. His shoulder ached, his head pounded and he felt the pain in his hand once again. Looking down his hand was covered in blood, likewise with his shoulder. How long had it been like that? Genju killed his ice wall when the water had receded. is whole body ached and he could not hold back his nausea. A twisted smile formed as he wanted to go back under whatever Genjutsu had made him feel so good.
Giving orders to the clone, he had them tear off the sleeves to his robe revealing the head band underneath. There was no point in hiding it anymore as he donned it back onto his forehead. He served the Yukikage and could not fail. He shed the robe in its entirety now leaving him with just a blue undershirt, soaked like his pair of shorts. The robe was too bulky and too filled with water to be worn but at least the torn sleeves could be used to bandage his hand as he recalled pricking himself there earlier. The giant whole in the shirt on his back smeared with blood was wrapped tight in the robe like a bandage. Improvised medical care, but he had no choice. Blood still dripped down, fueled by the water he had been soaking in. Genju wobbled as he looked around at the room that was almost his end. Had Tricu actually died like the scream portrayed?
He doubted it. Sure there was a pool of water behind him now, explaining how his opponent had escaped earlier. But to drown? It did not seem likely. The traps had also disengaged themselves after he screamed. Genju never heard of a dead man switch for traps as elaborate as these. No, his opponent may have escaped and Genju was okay with that. His head still spinning, Genju lost what little was left in his stomach. As his mind flashed from thought to thought, he realized something. What if Tricu held the item he came all this way for? Rejecting such thoughts as they were depressing, Genju finally saw the door on the other side of the room. Nothing to do but push onward as it sounded like something was happening. Directing the clones to the piano, they would take it and begin carrying it as Genju followed along the walkway examining the room that could have been his tomb. Along the floor lay the kunai from the now vanished glowing orb. Genju picked it up not missing a beat as he followed the clones. Again, he wondered if Tricu held the item he needed. A dread feeling in his stomach, Genju pressed on, no way of knowing until he had explored the mansion. Tricu must be alive. Flood waters or not, Genju doubted he would die to his own traps. Yet why did Tricu retreat? There were too many questions and he was exhausted. Approaching the exit to the room, Genju would wait a few moments, resting. He needed to recover at least a little energy and chakra as who knew what awaited him?
An unknown amount of time passed for him but finally Genju pressed onward through the room. Not his proudest moment at least he lived. Genju would lead the way, his two skeletal based clones following dragging a piano fortunately with wheels behind him.
