Personality:
Kerai is a rather simple individual, yet there are a few complexities to him. He is very selfless, often going to extreme lengths to help those in need. It is often said that he thinks nothing of his own life, which would not be too far off from the truth. It's simply that he thinks more of another's life then his own. Born into servitude, that is all the Masamune knows and even with years of freedom he is still lost in a free world, servitude and the life of a guardian, his life.
Usually, the male is quiet speaking only when he feels he has something of worth to say. Usually though, when he dose speak the Masamune is quite soft spoken. There is a determination within him that rarely breeches the surface save for one thing that shows more often. That is the determination to not become emotionally attached and fail to protect someone again. Yet still the Masamune finds himself lonely most of the time, finding himself longing for that emotional connection he will not allow himself to form.
With his servitude came a key part of him, for loyalty to whomever he served was never an issue. As well as being loyal the Masamune is an honorable man, be it in combat or out and about.
Appearance:
Kerai bears several traits that set him apart from other Masamune. First is his hair possesses a color a far lighter color then others of his clan with silken tresses of a white slightly darker then snow. Another is the facts that his body bears no piercings or tattoos aside from his Seal of Servitude. There is also the distinguishing factor that his hair is cut short, helping mark him as an outcast. His skin is a medium tan in hue and bears the average height of Masamune. His eyes are a deep emerald and, though soft, look as if they can pierce through the strongest defences and into the soul.
The garb of Kerai is contains a few items that are slightly out of the ordinary. A tight black shirt that is worn over his tightly muscled torso has no sleeves. He also wears what appears to be a crimson trench coat specially tailored for him. The top consists of nothing but sleeves conected by the back portion of the coat with a small amount of fabric covering his torso. The sleeve part is kept on by a small silver rope with tassles on each end, with the connecting points and tassles the design appears cross-like.
His pants are of black leather and tight, yet loose enough to remain comfortable with a belt holdind up the flaring part of the coat which remains separate from the sleeves. The Masamune's shoes are of black and have bronze plates over the toe, back of the heel, and the bend in the ankle.

History:
There are many tales of wonder and glory, of heroism and good fortune, but there are also tales of misery and woe. The story you are about to hear is one of those tales of loss and sorrow. The character is Kerai by name, a slave to existance itself, among other things. Alas, the tale is getting ahead of itself, so let us start with the humble beginnings of this slave boy.
It all began long ago, when the first of the Sueshijuu family was forced into servitude. It was the Deisho Family that first enslaved them, yet the tragedy is yet begin. For the first fwe years of his life the young child was allowed to grow as a normal child, yet it was on his third birthday things began, his earliest memory. The seal was placed upon his back and was put into servitude with small tasks suited for a child. The boy was a slave from birth yet not worked hard until age five when he was strong enough to work the mines.
From such a young age Kerai worked, yet his people matured quickly and he came to know only slavery. A servants life he lived working for the Deisho, yet one day when he was seven things changed. The boy was traded to the Gensho family and set to work in their mines, simply happy he got to continue his life of servitude. It was this that set the other's on edge, casting him out of their inner circles, the boy was an outcast from his own people. The teen-like child did his best not to allow this to bother him openly, yet a vast sea of loneliness had set in.
It was one day when the daughter of the Hazanko family was visiting the mine of their friends when he first saw her. Ikuko Hazanko, a feudal lord's daughter and a woman of extrodinary beauty. It is what some would call love at first sight as they saw each other, and the girl whispered to her father about the slave boy she saw. That night while Kerai slept the two heads of the families negotiated over the boy, and finally the young Masamune was to change hands yet again. He was sent to the Hazanko Manor rather then the mines though and give and small closet to stay in.
It was odd to the boy that he sleep in such a place rather then the mines where he was enslaved, yet he was near the woman. The next day Kerai was given a task, he was to guard the lord's daughter Ikuko, a Guardian at age ten and taught to manipilate his chakra and Electro Magnetic Field. For several years things worked out as such, but this time of joy for the Masamune would not last. It seemed that whever fortune smiled upon him for a time, worse times always followed. When the man was fourteen an attack was launched on the Hazanko Manor, and fight as he might, the Masamune was overwhelmed and Ikuko was stabbed.
Though he survived, his love had not and as she lay in his arms breathing her dying breaths the man wept. Days passed and he expected to be put back to work to ease the pain, yet at her funeral an announcement was made. It seemed that in her last will and testiment the girl had freed Kerai from his slave's bonds. For any other Masamune this would be a blessing, yet this Outcast saw it as a curse. Freedom was a new thing to him and he knew not if he could cope, yet he tried for the will of his love.
So you see children, though Kerai was freedom from the bonds of a slave, he was not happy. He believed that his emotional attachment was what had killed his love and did not wish to allow that to happen again. And even though he was free he did not know how to live free, simply put, the boy was lost. Now, let us take a peek at what the present holds for him and how his future shapes itself...
