Gilded rays would slowly shine into vermilion as Apollo's lantern was beckoned earthwards. Nights shadowy embrace would fall all to soon, signaling the end of a days labor and a nights rest. Or rather,
a nights debauchery as was the case on this occasion...

Soft sigh escaping his lips, Takeo's gaze would fall upon the rather homely looking inn that confronted his sight. From inside came rambunctious laughter that could only come from a gratuitous amount of ingested alcohol. Tight grin upon his countenance he would runa stray hand through flaxen locks. Is this truly what he wanted? Then again, what else was he supposed to do in foreign lands while waiting for his next assignment? In fact! This was the Amekage's fault for not sending him his next target! Yes, this was the reason he would drink himself into a comatose stupor! This rationalization within his consciousness Takeo would stride forth into the establishment, shinobi sandals crunching noisily on the gravel...

Minutes later Takeo sat at the bar, elbows propped against the bar, left hand propping his chin while the right held a rather large cup of sake. Usually playful and exuberant eyes now held a distinct look of forlorn misery. As was usual, the cup held none of the joy it had for others, instead, it seemed to give nothing but a general shroud of morosity. These dark moods seemed to descend upon the intrepid warrior whenever his spirit was shackled into mediocrity. After all, had he not just completed the assassination of three high danger targets for the Amekage? These had truly been tests of his skills and bravery, yet, now he withered and wasted, waiting for word on his fourth and final target before he could return home...Oh how these somber thoughts afflicted his most proud spirit, was he to waste away as some common drunk whilst others had their names engraved in the annuls of time? Glum now weighing upon his features Takeo would wait...but, for how long?

Waitress....another drink.

I entered the bar... Stage left. It was evident that I was not from these parts, as all eyes were on me as I walked into the bar. Suppose I shouldn't be surprised. As I moved into the building, the wind kicked up from the opening of the door. It flushed my robes high into the air, for all to see. I suppose the rather tall man with a pink petaled robe was too much for anyone to ignore. I grinned as I grabbed the top of my thin hat, pulling it down to cover my eyes. The door shut behind me and the gusts of wind stopped. Slowly, my robes ceased to move, as did I.

Raising my hat up once more, and large friendly smile could be seen on my face, to detour anyone from thinking I was in here for trouble. True, my grass headband had been tied around my waist still. As you know grass and leaf are not ever on good terms. Either way, all I was here for was a drink. As I made my way to the bar, I quickly removed my hat and bowed to the waitress. She was quite attractive, but I was still more interested in that drink.

"Howdy mam'. Hows about you get me a nice bottle of Sake'? Thanks Darlin'."

I guess it was also easy to tell I wasn't from these parts by the way I talked. It seemed like she never heard it before as she listened to me. A bottle slid my way, as I sat down next to a stranger. He had blond hair, and a ninja headband on his head, though I could not see the village symbol. I assumed he was from out of town too.

"Hows it for you, Partner?" I asked the man, being as friendly as I could.

Gloom and despair welling up from within, Souzen`s glum reverie would be interrupted by the appearance of a rather feminine clothed man. Pink petaled robe? This peaked Souzen`s interest. However, even as he regarded the stranger his eyes would flicker to the shining metallic light of his waist. Eyes would rise slightly in surprise, a Kusa-nin in Hi No Kuni? It seems the doldrum of this evening was soon to be dispelled, as it was quite evident when the stranger sat next to him. Inwardly Souzen was torn ; for was Kusagakure not an stalwart ally of Amegakure in the past? Yet, now they were sore enemies. But, ,they were both seemingly alone in a land that was of mutual dislike. Perhaps, perhaps they could be allies once more for this fine evening.

Boyish, exuberant grin now upon his face he would turn upon the stool he sat, facing the Kusa-nin as he greeted him. An Alabaster hand would raise his own Sake glass to him in a toast, even as his silver headband was in full view of him, proclaiming his allegiance. How would this stranger react?

Odd. It was a rain ninja. Hated by grass ninja as much as we had come to hate the leaf ninja. Either way, I didn't feel like fighting. As he would raise his bottle to mine, I would meet his, making a quick clinging sound as he would say hello to me. After this I took a sip. Ahhh... it was so refreshing to get a nice cold drink. I sat my bottle down after a few more gulps, making a rough 'Ahhh...' sound.

"So, what brings you to these parts? Just a drink?"

I smiled as I was curious. Though I knew why I was here, leaf was going to finally pay. But that time would come later. I didn't feel like fighting anyone today. A smirk would fly across my face as the bottle of sake was raised to my face once more. After another sip, another sign that I was being refreshed was released from my mouth, a small sigh.

Muscles tense and coiled Takeo would await the Kusa-nin`s response to his magnanimous gesture, only when they joined glasses and indulged in the most ambrosial of liquids did he let his guard down slightly. This, by no means meant he was completely trusting of this stranger, but, it now meant a connection, however small, had been made. Crimson flush appearing on his cheeks as he indulged once more, Takeo would then regard his newfound drinking partner as he inquired about the reason for his current setting.

Ah well you see...I was out raking leaves you see...three to be exact. What brings you around here Kusabana-san?

Sipping from his cup Takeo would let himself a small smile. Although, he had killed three shinobi on his sojourn in leaf, none of them had been Konoha shinobi. As a matter of fact, two were missing-nin from Amegakure and one a very troublesome Kumo-nin. But, that didn`t matter, what mattered was drinking more of this delicious sake...wait....was he drunk?

As I heard his comments I smirked. Raking 3 leafs? It was easy to tell what he meant. A small chuckle and a smile came out of my mouth, as I rose his second bottle of sake to my mouth. For some reason I felt at peace speaking with this man, as if we had the same cause in life, or even the same reason for living.

"Haha.... I'm here to rake a leaf myself... Hows the sake treating you?"

I asked with enthusiasm. I was actually quite enjoying this strangers company. So I decided to share my name with the fella, possibly getting his in return.

"The name's Fiore. Fiore Agudo, friend."

I smirked as I offered my hand out, in an offer of friendship.

A certain aura of kinship seemed to radiate from this man as the night wore on and the sake was induced. Perhaps, the sake was getting to his head? No matter, the two shared a common smirk as they talked so boldly in public. Then, the pink garbed man would speak again, giving Takeo a name. Whether it was real or not didn`t matter, he could now give his new found companion a name. Sipping from his cup once more, fiery liquid coursing down his throat and warming his stomach Takeo would return Fiore`s confidence.

The names Takeo Maeda! And, the sake`s treating me quite well, a finer liquid has never been made. Uhhh, so if you don`t mind me asking...Hows Kusagakure these days? Does granny Ono-chan still own Tadamaki noodle near the market? It`s been...quite difficult to visit Kusagakure these days...

As the words escaped his mouth Takeo hoped his companion would understand. He didn`t mean to pry and gain secrets to use against Kusagakure, rather, he was curious as to the state of some of his old aquintance`s in the village, for had they not been allies a mere three years ago?

Takeo was his name. A new friend started to arise as my tolerance for the sake had gone downwards. I was just finishing up my fourth bottle at this point. I hadn't the slightest clue what was going on anymore, just that I was in good company. As he would ask about the grass village, I thought to myself. How was grass doing? I hadn't been back home in a while.

"Well, Takeo, to be completely honest, I've not been home in a while. And... I've not been to this raman shop. I've only hit the bars, meself! I do wonder sometimes how the ol' village is doing though."

A young purple haired woman would seem to have dragged herself into such an environment, though due to her youthful appearance and the ever so interesting choice of a pair of fox ears upon her headband, she could be classified as a rat if anything. Such is the case for those that hold no affiliation to anyone. She would carry her own exhausted form to a stool at the bar some few seats down from the ninja. A small glimpse their way and she would say nothing.

"HM, I'll take brandy if you please." The HM would seem to come out as a cat purr might and when the drink is placed before her she would down the first completely without even hesitation. "Another." A second would be given and she would relax with this one, drinking only a little.

Her eyes would carry back to the two. "Two ninja, foreign in origin in the bars in the Leaf capital. Especially from two countries that are supposed to hate each other." She would laugh slightly, "It shows any country can come together over spirits."

The red headed girl would enter the establishment the traditional way, through the door, and she would then look inside at the various people who were in there. One male, wearing a beautiful pink Kimono, a male of blonde hair, and a female of purple hair. Smiling a bit, she would enter the bar, taking a seat next to the blonde headed one. It took slight difficulty to you know, hop on the barstool due to her height, but she managed to do it in the end, her behind now placed on the chair, and her gloved arms set on the counter of the bar, wondering what she would order. Tilting her head to the side, she would look at the three of them. ”Good evening.” she tells them in a friendly tone, the tone she usually had while speaking to people in general, as she then looks to the bartender, still pondering. ”Can I just have one cup of sake please? And some of that thing that’s in the packet over there.”[/color] she was pointing at a packet of crisps, the packet blue in colour.

As both items had been given to her, she would then begin to drink the liquid that resided in the small cup, turning her head frequently to the other three. The female didn’t seem to have a headband on her, the blonde headed male was from.. Amegakure. That was quite interesting. The other male, upon studying him, was from Kusagakure? Very interesting. The two didn’t seem to be in any sort of feud, and she was hoping that the serene peace between the tree would carry on despite her entry. ”Ame and Kusa?” she asks curiously, a smile upon her face. ”You must have come quite a long way. I hope my entrance doesn’t leave you three in bad spirits.” she tells the two, a sort of awkward laugh at the end. Ishi herself didn’t have any sort of.. hate towards any other countries. Sure, Ame was curious to her, because of the weird memories she had had with the Amekage, but, she held no anger towards it. The female on the other hand, she didn’t have a headband. Perhaps she didn’t belong to any villages?

Taking another sip of the sake in the cup, she would then place it down once more, opening the packet of crisps, a lush, vinegary scent to be smelled from it. She would take one out, eat it, and then place the packet back down, before offering it to the three. ”Does anyone want one?” she asks, taking another sip with her spare hand from the white, decorated sake cup. ”This is good sake.” she would murmur to herself under her breath.

Crimson flush apparent on his cheeks Takeo would listen intently as Fiore answered his inquiries. Nodding his head as the answer was procured Takeo would take another long, drawn out sip of sake. Then, it hit him ; the blurred vision, lack of motor control, and the beginnings of double vision. He was inebriated! Oh lord! In a land of foreign ninja who no doubt held the most malevolent of malice against him! Oh woe as him he was better off....better off.....wait was he thinking about again? Ah yes, replying to Fiore! That's it!

As Takeo opened his lips to comment on Fiore's sojourn, the words would be taken from his mouth as a young lad[/u] [ Yes I said lad xD.] would seat himself upon the stool next to him and greet them both happily. Eyes slightly glazed Takeo would offer a nod to Fiore before turning to the boy who was now commenting on the strangeness of their company. Were Kusagakure and Amegakure really that bad of enemies? Then, keen cerulean optics would pick up the glistening silver upon the youth's thigh ; A leaf headband!

Well...not that, that, mattered at all. He was already drinking with a sworn enemy, his guard thrown down by the multitude of drinks he had consumed. However, just what was this inn owner doing letting such a small boy in the inn! Surely Konohagakure was strange in their customs...no matter, a drinking partner was a drinking partner whether they be nine or ninety! Smile full of the usual boyish vigor Takeo would turn to his new-found ally in the quest for sublime intoxication.

Aiko would simply watch the interaction play out before her. Did that Rain nin call her a Lad? Damn he must be wasted. Lets see what happens. Might make a good story if I run into Shen again.

She downs this brandy and pours another herself. This could be more entertaining then those drab tournaments she was made to watch by the bastard. She would brace her head on her right hand and pop a few peanuts that are in a bowl near her.

It was about time for me to go. I had a mission to complete, after all. But, I wanted to keep in touch with this friend, so I decided that I would give him something. Perhaps he'll help if I ever end up needing a friend.

And with that, I would hand him a communication device and head out of the bar, placing my straw hat back on my head.

She would watch the body language of the golden haired male who was sitting next to her, for a few moments. Was he genuinely drunk? She’d have to wait until the time comes when he’d talk to her, that’d probably explain to her if he’s dr- Ahhh no no, your company is most welcome! It's not every day I get to converse with a shinobi of Kusagakure and a young lad of Konoha! Wait..

That disappointed Ishi a little bit, taking a blow of self confidence, but ah well, the man was drunk, and in all honesty, when your vision is blurred and you aren’t able to see her face that well, she would look well, like a young boy. A young boy with pigtails, that is. But.. you did have some weird souls out there who did that, right? ”It’s nice to meet you, but, I’m a girl.” she would speak. She wasn’t really pissed off, just a little bit confused, but she guessed this just added to the idea that he was drunk. Which he probably was. Who the hell goes to a bar and comes out sober? She didn’t.
Now, tell me what brings you here?......Waitress! Oh waaaaaaitresssss! Three more bottles of Sake for me and my friends! She listens to the words he says, smiling as he speaks a little bit. It was nice to see that he wasn’t hostile, and neither was the female who was there, too. The other male as it had appeared, had left. Maybe he left because of her?

”Well, I originally planned here just to explore, y’know, but I guess things took a turn! Kekekekekeke. What are your businesses here if I may ask?” she would tell him, a laugh at the end as she speaks to him. ”But I do love a bit of sake in a while, don’t you?” she asks, taking a few more sips from the cup, and, according to what he had just called for, there would be more to come. ”Ah, are you sure about the sake?” she asks, unsure. Although she didn’t want to say ‘I’ll pay if you want’ because he’d probably go along and buy who knows how many cups of sake, right? Shaking her head a little, her thin fingers would once more grasp the sake bottle, and bring it up to her mouth, cleaning it of it’s last few drops, and placing it back down once more afterwards.

The young girl wasn’t drunk, yet. Perhaps gently sitting on the border between soberness and intoxication. Her head would turn towards the purple haired girl once more, who hadn’t really begun to say anything, and then, she would look back to the male, pouring a few cup from the sake that had just been given to them by one of the barmaids, and then, began to sip at that as she basked in the comfortable and cosy aura of the Inn.
It wasn’t going to be long until she too would be spiralling down into the pit of intoxication.

Eagerness now gracing his countenance Takeo would await the three precious bottles of sake, eyes twinkling with fervor, when, suddenly, his comrade spoke once more, rising as he did so.

""Alright friend. I've got to head out. But here.... Take this communication device. Keep it on the channel it's on and contact me whenever you might need a friend, or anything in general. It was a real pleasure to meet you."

Azure eyes would tighten, a slight frown taking the place o the once euphoric smile. Nodding Takeo would stand and as Fiore handed him the communications device he would grasp his hand and clench it in a firm, robust handshake.

The pleasure was like-wise Fiore, good luck on your travels!

With that the mysterious Kusa-nin was gone, his pink flower strewn kimono fluttering around the threshold of the doorway, leaving Takeo with his new-found drinking partner. Sitting down a little bit to fast into his chair he would let a hand rest upon the youth [ Apple.] as he tried to steady himself, simultaneously the youth would speak up, tone polite and reserved.

"It's nice to meet you, but, I'm a girl"

At this statement a look of shock, awe and surprise would suddenly surface upon his features ; Words wouldn't form on his lips as he tried to sputter a meek excuse that his mind just couldn't seem to form.

" Oh god! I eer...Uh...oh damn...crap...damn...ugh! I...I...I'm an idiot I'm so sorry!!!!! Please forgive me! Argh!_{....I'm...so...stupid!}"

With the final intonation of the last word he would smack himself on the head, a bit to hard in fact, as he would suddenly hit the floor, with a loud resounding crash stars dancing in front of his eyes he would gently pick him self up off the floor and place himself upon the stool once more, trying to act nonchalant as if nothing had occurred.

Then, the waitress approached, saving him from even more embarrassment in front of this lad turned lass. Thanking her kindly for the sake he would arch a brow quizzically, now that Fiore had left there was an extra bottle. Oh dilemma of dilemma's! Yet, it was easily solvable! His new companion would help him make sure this extra sake wasn't wasted! Hoping that his boneheaded misrepresentation of her gender had not ruined everything, he would push a bottle of sake towards her, bright scarlet blush marring his alabaster features.

" Uhhh...errr...do you want some Sake, on me? I'm er...umm...argh......I'm sorry about before! But, uh...the names Takeo Maeda and you could say I'm here in Hi No Kuni to.....take out some of my village's trash...Whats your story lass?"

With that Takeo would take another long sip of sake, the burning alcohol now tasting quite like delicious spring water. Although, the adrenaline of having to deal with his rather blotched appraisel of the girls sex had allowed him to stave off the effects of the alcohol it was now beginning to hit him....hard.

The young woman would laugh lightly as he falls out of his chair and smile. People when drunk are funny. Though it always takes Aiko a lot more then most to pollute her system enough to be Inebriated to actually get that far. She could finish this bottle and only be classified as tipsey. But enough of that for now.

She would get up, not even a waver in her walk and head outside for some air. The last thing she could really have interest in is Days of Our Lives staring a Rain and Leaf shinobi. Before long he will probably be kissing her, end up up stairs and a night of passion.

She would leave so not to get sick.

She would look back at him as he seemed to take on a worried or different look on his face. Had he realized his mistake? Ah well, it wasn’t his fault right? It would be hard to tell when you’re drunk, the vision blurred and your head wasn’t exactly at the best state of mind also. Nodding her head, she would take another sip from her own cup of sake, sure, it was bad for you somewhat, but it was so addictive, right? She had become slightly continued when he had placed his hand on her, probably to stabilize himself, a sort of.. friendship thing.. probably? " Oh god! I eer...Uh...oh damn...crap...damn...ugh! I...I...I'm an idiot I'm so sorry!!!!! Please forgive me! Argh!....I'm...so...stupid!" She would then, as he speaks shake her head vigourously. ”It’s absolutely fine, don’t worry about it!” she tells him. Oh how ironic it was, the Rain village and Leaf village drinking together—with a non-nin. My My.

And then, the male had suddenly hit himself or something, or fallen anyway, she hadn’t been watching and had taken another long sip from the patterened cup, only to fill it full to the brim once more afterwards, and then looking back down at the man. ”Are you alright?” she asks him, her tone concerned somewhat for the drunken man who had then gotten up, and sat back on the stool once more. " Uhhh...errr...do you want some Sake, on me? I'm er...umm...argh......I'm sorry about before! But, uh...the names Takeo Maeda and you could say I'm here in Hi No Kuni to.....take out some of my village's trash...Whats your story lass?" A pause, as she would think for a few moments before speaking. There wouldn’t be harm in speaking her name, correct? Despite the fact that he was drunk he didn’t seem like the ‘I know your name and I’m out to kill you now’ type of person. ”My name is Ishi Kishiko. And I would love that.” she tells him, in regards to the sake comment and as to if she wanted any.

”Ahh, ..taking out your villages trash… That’s interesting. .. I guess you could say… I live around these parts. Aahaha!” she would tell him, a jolly attitude suddenly taking place of her usual slightly dull yet sparky manner. As she would take another long drink from the sake cup that she currently had, she would then sigh happily, the strong taste hitting her immediently. Was she drunk?

Now she was.
She had always been a weak one when it came to drinking, but that was soon to change after practice.. right?

”So..” she murmurs, her words practically laced in alchohol. ”Why.. is.. your headband four lines? Rain is dots..” she asks in a curious tone. ”Mine.. is a leaf, because it’s a leaf, right? I think. Kekekekekeke.” drunken laughter to emit from the ginger youth, she would then turn towards the purple haired female of whom hadn’t been speaking much was gone now, and back towards Takeo. ”But.. I do like the sea..” she murmurs, attempting to make sense. You know, sea, rain, sea, rain.

Cerulean optics upon the ginger haired Kunoichi, Takeo would listen as she gave her his name as he gave her his. Smiling at this he would take a gulp of sake, having given up on his dainty cup for a larger, studier mug. He listened politely as she stated she was from around here ; a rather obvious observation, but, one he wasn't prepared to point out. Then, a sudden change would come over he angelic continence. A certain incarnadine flush upon her alabaster features, a slight disorientation and blinking of the eyes. Oh yes! She was drunk! Perhaps, even drunker than he!

" ”Why.. is.. your headband four lines? Rain is dots..Mine.. is a leaf, because it’s a leaf, right? I think. Kekekekekeke.But.. I do like the sea..."

Laughing uproariously at her observations Takeo would clap a hand upon her head and rub it furiously, no doubt sending the girls hair-do asunder.

"You know what _hic Mee-shee? I Used to be a sailor! Sailing up the river! Stealing wheat and barley and all the other grains! Bwa ha ha ha!"

Oh how unfortunate the usual taciturn and charismatic shinobi was now a rumbling drunk, bereft of his usual grace. However, a slight amount of his usual nature seemed to surface as a rhythm and beat entered his head, giving Ishi a rakish wink he would stand upon the bar, earning many stares from the patrons. Holding out an ivory hand to her, he would then pull her to the bar before he started humming and singing slowly and softly, speeding up gradually until he could reach a crescendo.

As she drank, she would close her eyes for a few moments, her drunken thoughts swaying all over the place, although it was a nice feeling, a feeling that she didn’t get that often since she didn’t have that many chances to become well, full on drunk. Today was an exception. Perhaps she should try to limit her drinking to only once a month?- No, that would be impossible for her. At fight sight, she didn’t look like a drinker, more of someone who’d order fruit juice at a bar and not be able to finish it all by the end of the day. But deep down, she had a problem, although it only triggered after she had become drunk. Then, she’d simply take in the Alchohol as if she was inhaling it like fresh air.

She would then quickly, as her hair was tussled by the blonde haired male, a change of mood occurred, her head flicking towards him as she murmurs the words; ”Don’t do that.” in a deadly, drunken tone, her face all serious.. although a few moments later her smile was back and she was curiously listening to the song he was singing. The reason she had stopped him from doing that was because her teacher, Hiroko used to do that all the time to her before his death, and she didn’t really feel like spilling any drunken tears around. ”A.. se.. sailor? Ooh. I wish I was a.. sailor, I’d..” a pause. ”Steal from the.. rich and.. give to the poor!” she had heard that line somewhere, but she wasn’t sure where.
So she used it for herself.

The red head would watch him as he steps on to the bar, reaching for her hand. Her own gloved hand would then grip in his, as she jumps over the seat she was sitting on, and stands on the countertop. Looking down, her mind.. shifted the current situation. They weren’t on a bar at all. They were on a stage. The glittering lights from the tables were spotlights now, and the people were not simply people.. but people who’d come to pay to see them sing. The man behind the bar was now their bodyguard or soundman, and she and Takeo were both of the main attractions of the show, preparing to sing.
And.. it appeared as if he came first. It was a tune.. that she had heard before in a bar that she had been to, and having heard it many a time in her life, she knew the words, sort of. Grinning as he ceases to sing his parts in a wonderful stop to the melody that was slowly churning, she would revive the song, singing the words;

Fair play, the girl wasn’t that bad when it came to singing. One could say that she had some sort of talent, or atleast had a decent voice, although at some parts they turned out weirdly due to the obvious fact that she was intoxicated, and singin when drunk usually doesn’t end out very beautifully at some points. But, she was alright. Grinning a little bit as she spun around on the countertop which was the bar, she would then.. almost lose her balance, almost falling on the floor head-first, although she managed to keep herself still for now.
People from the ‘Crowd’ just looked at them in a slightly weird fashion, the barman shaking his head in disagreement. What did they think they were doing? Dancing on his countertop. But, it gave entertainment.. somewhat.. anyway, so, meh.
Picking up the bottle of alchohol that was given a few minutes ago, and simply taking a swig from that before placing it back down again rubbing her mouth with her wrist.

She would sing, her voice flooding the Inn as she looks to Takeo. This was.. oddly fun, singing and playing games with a supposed enemy of the village.

Enraptured by the beautiful timbre of Ishi's voice, Takeo would do his best to lend her his own voice. Their beautiful cacophony would rise to a trilling crescendo. People would clasp their hands to their ears in merriment at this beauteous, lyrical duet. Azure eyes twinkling with mirth, glazed from drinking, Takeo would look over at Ishi as she finished the bawdy, sailors shanty. Giving her a warm smile he would watch, a look of amusement on her continence, as she continue into another rambling tune.

Ahhh but he recognized such a tune! Having song it on many a long stake out. Vigorous laughter escaping his lips Takeo would join in, once more, letting his voice sound loud and clear, like a clarion trumpet.
