Description:
A fighting arena is more then just a place where people are told to fight and kill each other. A arena is a special place within the village, where one can exhibit and show off their skills and power. An arena should be considered more of a place of entertainment in essence. Great fights are displayed in an arena; champions and legends are born; and stories of glorious battles are created. In ancient times, it was once said that an arena was birthed by two waring nations. Rather then shed blood and end the lives of hundreds of men, two nations at war would send a few of their best fighters to represent them in the Arena. The strongest fighters from both sides would duke it out, and fight to no end, showing their enemies the power and skills behind the nation which they represented....
This form of fighting transcended the need to have wars, and thus became a staple in some societies. During times of peace, Arenas were used for sport, entertainment, and exhibition. A village would use an arena as means to showing not only the strength of their people, but also their progress as warriors....
The arena located within the Hidden village of Cloud is known as "Girikamisama" or "The Honor of the gods". It is called this because, on the battlefield, and/or arena, you honor your god, and hope for Victory. Many warring nations may say a pray, meditate or give a sacrifice in the name of their god(s). To honor them and wish for their protection, guidance and success.
The Arena is a large, leveled and clear playing field. Its is an oval shape ring, which is roughly 200 meters long, 150 meters wide. The arena is very large in size, and can house more then 5000 people at one time. The arena floor is lower then the stand, where the crowds of people are located at. This difference from the arena floor to the stand is roughly 10 meters. The stand themselves are designed on a incline, so that the floor of the arena may be viewed from any angle. Their are a total of 4 entrance ways into the arena. North, south, east and west.
The Floor of the arena is usually composed of dirt, but with the assistance of Cloud Ninja (NPC's in this case), the arena floor can be modded to anyone's desires. With the Aid of Ninjutsu master, the Floor of the arena can be changed via Ninjutsu. Large amounts of water can be added to the arena floor, thus creating a small lake if need be. Dense wood land forest can be created, thus allowing for forest arena matches. Or even a sand and snow cover field may be created to suite the certain needs of a fight. The field may be created and modded back and forth to interchangeably.
For the benefit of the viewers, AnBu guards place up powerful barriers up around the arena. This prevents any and all harm from targeting bystanders and spectators. In addition to a barrier, Genjutsus are used as a means to magnifying the events and actions that are occurring within the arena. AnBu can enable large scale images to appear before the large crowd of spectators, which reflect the event of the current battle.
The lower levels of the Arena consists of holding pens, resting rooms and auxiliary hospitals. The floor of the arena was designed so that caged animals ca be risen from the floor, and enters the arena from below. Warriors from the arena can be placed on raised platforms as to enter the arena from below as well. The animal pens are kept tidy and cleaned at all, the hospital is ready to service and injury and harm, and the resting room is stocked with a slew of special foods and meals, which boost performance and/or prep warriors for continuous fighting. Services, food, medical aid are all free to Cloud affiliates.
