Rui sat on the docks, enjoying an ice cream cone while she waited for her ship to leave. In her left hand sat the letter she had been given, it stated that she needed to head for Fang Country, which meant, at best, going through either Claw, Lightning, or Fang country. Normally, she'd have gone though Claw, seeing as it lacked a shinobi village at last report, but Fang was the only one with a ship heading there from this port within the next few days. And Rui really didn't want to be late.
She had booked passage on one of those new steam-liner ships, so she didn't have to worry much about the favorable winds or currents, it made life so much easier. "Hey Kid, you coming or not?" Asked a fur-faced sailor with arms the size of tree trunks. He was how Rui could afford going on such a luxurious steam-liner. She had beaten him at arm wrestling, sure she used her chakra to cheat, but that's what you got for gambling.
"Hai." Rui said, popping the rest of her ice cream in her mouth as she stood up. She stumbled for a moment as brain freeze set in, pressing her thumb to the roof of her mouth to quickly cure it. She then hurried aboard the boat and was shown to her cabin, not the best, but defiantly one of the better ones on the boat. "Sankyu Sailor-dono," Rui said with a bright smile, however the fuzz-face only mumbled and left.
