Satoru is the summation of all that is in the nature calm. It is most likely a result of him being born blind and having to deal with the world without visual aid since he finds his way around by a mixture of his other heightened senses. But however the extremely calm nature did not dilute his sense of humour which others might consider a bit awkward or strange. Satoru doesn’t have a crazy sense of humour but just tends to see humour in everything that he sees no matter how bleak or dark it may be.Appearance:
An awkward trait that Satoru picked up was that he never looks at people when he talks to them for his blood limit allows him to be able to sometimes be facing a complete 180 degrees away and sometimes a few feet away from who he’s talking to and still have a pleasant conversation. This habit of his makes him appear a bit arrogant but its just that Satoru never grew up with the notion that he must always face a person when talking to them.
Being part of the Shitakuma clan Satoru never purposely segregates himself from people since for lack of a better word the blood of the traveling merchants runs deep in his veins thusly making him, for lack of a better word “A Social-Butterfly”. After all if a clan member was seen to be somewhat disgruntled and unruly it may reflect badly upon the entire clan itself and therefore bad for business. So if a person were to start a conversation with the young lad expect a fairly lengthy friendly conversation that would almost sound like the boy was almost talking to a favoured customer at some market.
Satoru loves to train more on the Taijutsu side then anything else. He finds that his physical close and fast paced training is more rewarding and thrilling then anything else. This is because he must always rely on his instincts and other senses to do what other people can just get by on with sight alone. So when ever Satoru has given himself a task at training he will work hard at whatever lies ahead even though he may not be able to see it. Plus on the brighter note being blind has allowed him to focus even better on what ever he finds himself working on, being able to eliminate most distractions with ease. This is another reason why Satoru can work well with being in a group and being alone, since the first is just having to deal with more sounds to comply with rather then any type of visual aid/hindrance that others may enjoy or hate.
Satoru if one can already see is fairly easy to get along and will go out of his way to get along with people if there be a need for it. The only thing that Satoru finds a bit tiresome and irksome is arrogance and hard cold personalities. The personality that Satoru respects the most is humbleness and a friendly attitude. If a argument or clash does occur between he and other individual Satoru attitude is hard to shift away from his calm and friendly domineer in mostly all types of situations.
Another odd habit of Satoru is that he enjoys news so much so that most of his conversations is mostly about the other party with topics that include:
-How they are?
-How their families are doing?
-Gossip?
-Market deals.
-Political affairs.
-What the other party is doing in the future. Why?
Etc….etc….
Some people might think that they are playing 20 questions sometimes rather then having a normal type of conversation.
Bloodlimit: Shitakuma (Silent Devil)
Satoru’s build is slender and toned with a slight whiteness to his skin colour. The whiteness to his skin colour comes from the fact that Satoru loves to train where it is slightly cool which usual means underneath a tree in some sort of shade or inside. So sun tanning was something the boy usually misses. Not that he cares the last thing a blind kid like Satoru ever worries about or even thinks about is the colour of his skin.
As for a hairstyle Satoru has a messy short black hair that doesn’t go past his ears. Apart from keeping the hair from blocking his ears Satoru could care less what his hair looked like as long as it didn’t keep him from using his hearing ability to it’s fullest.
In terms of clothing Satoru doesn’t have anything to extravagant since colour and design are all visual and the concept makes the boy favour function over fashion. Satoru simply wears a sleeveless black jacket with a V shape dust tail on the jacket. The Jacket also buttons ups with one large metallic clip instead of many small buttons or zippers. The sleeveless nature of the jacket allows Satoru to feel things around him with the full extent of his arms instead of simply his hands.
Satoru also doesn’t usually wear anything underneath it for two simple facts. One is that it allows him to cool down whenever his buttoned up jacket becomes to hot. The second reason is that it allows him to feel the air around him better then if he were bundled up. For pants Satoru wears flexible casual style black cargos that go down to his ankle. And as for shoes the boy wears a plain looking pair of sandals.
For head gear the boy wears his oddly shaped head protector over his eyes, the reason for the odd shape is do that the head protector fits over the bridge of the nose and the concaves of his face. The headband is attached to a long black band of cloth that wraps over the boys head a few times so that the head protector is resting on a cussion of cloth rather then soft skin around the eyes.

Life for Satoru began in darkness and remained so till this day. But the thought of seeing the world as others do was a feat that the boy couldn’t seem to grasp since he was raised by a family and clan who say the world as he did. In other words they both lived each and every day seeing the world by heat, feel and sound.
At a very early age Satoru was accustomed to living as a nomad on the lands travelling vast distances on Gargantuan Rhinos. In fact the boy’s fondest memories were riding atop the heads of his clan’s rhinos feeling the fresh air of every land they traveled on. After all it fell on the youngest of the clan to feed and take care of these beasts as if they were respected elders. And these animals seemed to have an effect on the boy as he admired the rhino’s headstrong personality; it was one of the more dominant reasons why Satoru began to train in the physical arts then the clans more business style of doing things. The fact that he was blind made the task of mastering physical combat more thrilling, Satoru would have to master his other senses and eliminate all fear in order to excel at what he wished to accomplish. So the boy would start his intense journey into physical training as his caravan pressed ever forward.
It was until Satoru was twelve that a major change in his way of life occurred. In order to maintain their neutral status within all of the ninja villages some Shitakuma clan members are left in certain villages for a period of time in order to establish trading posts as well as a relationship with the village that the members find themselves in. And so after the family elders deliberated Satoru was given a task to watch over his clan’s assets in the stone village with an older Shitakuma man name Haku who ran the families outpost there. Now it may seem like his clan had marooned him on the stone village but it was actually an assignment the boy volunteered to.
His reasoning went something like this….
The stone village trained Shinobi in genjutsu, ninjutsu and most importantly…Taijutsu. It was the perfect opportunity to master the art of physical combat and help out his clan at the same time. It was as the business savvy people would say…win win situation for all parties involved on this situation.
So it was only a matter of time before Satoru enrolled in the ninja academy at the stone village to begin his ninja training while giving aid to his clan’s trading outpost as well with the old store owner Haku as his supervisor/guardian in the stone village. Haku also was slowly teaching the young lad who found himself in his care the clan’s secret art of furthering his senses to a point where he would be able to see better then all those who saw the world in light.
And so we find the now fifteen year old Satoru having graduated the ninja academy with not so good skill in ninjutsu and barely any talent Genjutsu since the boy had a hard time grasping the world that others perceived. But on a brighter note the boy had a surprising skill in taijutsu even though the boy was blind as a bat.
As a genin Satoru was now allowed to learn more advance combat and participate in one of the oldest and most deadly games known on the land. The game of the shinobi, and Satoru was willing to play it at its fullest always running headstrong in the darkness to whatever may occur in the days to come.
