Where the ice king rules [C]

It isn't every day that one beholds such a sight in a silent fishing village. Quite overtaken two men are sitting at the edge of what seems to be a huge amount of ice. Overnight this had appeared, where it had come from noone knew. It had taken over at least half of the village and around twenty people had found death in their beds, frozen to death whilst they were asleep. The glass like substance covered every building and street, turning everything immobile and cold, whereas the earth was just to slippery for a normal man to travel upon.

The most astonishing sight however is to be found at the shore side, where a large block of ice had expended from bar on the land at least twenty meters into the sea. From the bar people had come out, frozen in the last position they had assumed when alive. It seemed they had wanted to fight, their faces wrought in anger, but they hadn't come far, all frozen in the position they had assumed just befor etheir untimely deaths. From a distance you could see that one had his sword raised to strike a form that was not to be seen anymore. Another hadn't even come to properly pulling out his blade, whilst the third never came any further then staring dumb in front of him. A fourth was on the verge of dropping his sword, a look of amazement on his blue face. What could have caused such agony?

She was on her way towards the Fire capital but she wanted to stop by some village to eat something, she was really hungry. Upon arriving at an unknown village, she would feel a bit cold, it was unusual for this land to be so cold during this time of a season. Chiaki was curious at what happened for there weren't many villagers nearby "Where did everyone go." she wondered while walking towards the center of the village. She had passed through half the village and have not seen a soul yet. Once she entered the other half, there was ice, half the village was covered by ice. "What the hell is happening here." she was looking for any signs of people.

She finally came at a shore and she was shocked, there was even ice on the sea. This needed to be investigated, she looked at the frozen people who seemed to be in the middle of a fight. So somebody or something attacked this village and did all this. Only now did she notice two men sitting at the edge of the shore. She approached them "Uhm Hello there. Can I ask what happened here?" she would gaze at both men and waited for an answer "Can I help?"

[Solus]

Only one of the young men would get up and react to the woman's questions, the other would just sit and stare apathetically in front of him. "WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" The man swept his arm at the pack of ice. "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED!" He would stand silent for a moment his fists clenched, down next to his body, his entire body captured between anger and sadness. "Can I help?" As her voice reached his ears something inside the lad would seem to snap and fall forward, clenching his arms around her neck. Tears would stream down his face upon her clothes "I doohooohon't knowowowow! Heheheeeverythiing is goooonee..." His voice would produce, broken and stretched by the sadness and the tears. The other, older, man would start to rub his eyes, but also broke into tears quickly after that.

One man would get up to answer her questions. He was pretty young and his eyes looked desperate "WHAT HAPPENED HERE?!" he shouted and pointed his hands towards the ice. "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED!" he would continue with his angered voice. By looking at the man, she would notice he was angry and sad at the same time. There was silence for a while and she was waiting for him to answer her next question. The young man would fall forward and clenched his arms around her neck, her shinobi senses would kick out but she suppressed them, he did not look like a guy who would try to take an advantage of this position and attack her. He was suddenly crying on her shoulders and tears dropping onto her clothes.

"I doohooohon't knowowowow! Heheheeeverythiing is goooonee..." the man would cry out with sadness and the other man's eyes became watery too. The poor villagers she would thought. She was a medic and could probably help if anyone was injured. "I am a medic, if anyone is injured I could help." she reassured both of them. She needed to talk to some authority here, perhaps a major of this village or an elder. "Could you please take me to your elder? I would like to speak to him or her." she stood there waiting for their responses. While she stood there waiting, her mind would go back many years ago.....

The old man, kept sitting, rubbing his eyes. He seemed to have lost almost all touch with reality. "I don't think you can do anything for them lady, we have been fishing for a day and a night and the entire village was like this when we returned as the sun came up." The other man would clench tighter around her neck, though not choking or strangling her, he was just looking for something to hold on to in this menace. ""Could you please take me to your elder? I would like to speak to him or her." The old man would just point his thumb over his shoulder at a cabin that was slightly better painted than the others before falling back in his mutterings. "All gone... All gone... All gone... It's all away..."

The old man was rubbing his eyes and answered her question "I don't think you can do anything for them lady, we have been fishing for a day and a night and the entire village was like this when we returned as the sun came up." they were fishing, how far away though, since the ice stretched to the sea pretty far. The man would point out at a cabin where apparently an elder lived. She would like to check it out but the elder is probably frozen too. "If I may, how far away were you fishing as the ice is stretching to the sea pretty far." she asked before walking towards the elder's cabin. "Please stay here or come with me, I will be back soon if you decide to stay." she would ask both of them kindly. She walked towards the cabin and then opened the doors. "Uhm hello." she would say while looking around.

[Solus]

No answer to her first question came from the young man, and the older grumbled something along the lines of 'far away'. The youth had to let go of her neck as she started to move and would sit down where they had stood. Burying his face in his hands, he would go on with crying pathetically. The old man just wouldn't move even a finger.

Opening the doors of the cabin Abumi would be met with the cries of a raven, who had been eating from a bowl of fruit on a table next to the door. Flying through the small room the bird would and on the blueish appearance of an old man sitting in a chair in the corner that wast the furthest from the door. One by one the frozen fingers would snap off under the low weight of the bird. Noticing that his landing place wasn't stable the raven would relocate to the head of the old man, causing a rain of powdered ice and frozen hairs to fall down. The bird would give a cry at the women and would then try to pry out the old man's right eye. Eyes make good bird food.

Both men were crying once again and none came with her inside the cabin. When she opened the doors and entered it, a few ravens were screaming about, eating some fruits. The birds would fly about and then she noticed a figure sitting on a chair having a bird on its hands. The bird was forced to relocate as the fingers snapped under its weight which made it unstable. The raven would sit on the persons head while trying to eat his/her eyes. Chiaki clapped her hands and screamed "Cha cha!!" to not let the raven do what it was doing. Seeing as the person was dead, she would activate her Sansuagan and turned her heat vision technique on. She was looking all over the cabin to find anyone alive. If she would not find anyone alive she would exit the cabin and look around the village with her eyes.

Drawback: Though the user can analyze and predict, they are unable to copy motions. Requires a small, continuous flow of chakra.
Description: The user focuses chakra into their eyes, activating the second level of the Sansuegan. The user’s eyes will change in color, with the irises transitioning to a vivid indigo and the pupils turning pure white. Two white acute triangles, with angles of about thirty degrees, taper to points a few millimeters away from the pupil. They are at 180-degree angles from one another. In this form, the user retains all the capabilities of the Shoten. Their ability to analyze systems increases to longer systems, allowing them to track the motions of random systems, such as determining whether or not a foe has passed through shifting sand or moving water, as well as gaining the ability to register chakra traces and imprints much more deeply, allowing the user to determine the strength and elemental nature of chakra. The user's ability to perceive minute changes and differences in their environment allow them to puncture C rank and lower Genjutsu techniques through the power of observation and chakra analysis. Upon gaining this level, their eye is always in this form when activated, nor do they need hand seals to perform the Atsusa Tebiki. The user can perform Chidori with the same level of perception as a Sharingan user at this point.
Limit: Must be a born member of the Sakurai Clan. Must have Sansuegan: Shoten. Must be C Rank.

Effect: The user causes the Sansuegan to shift into the spectrum of infrared light.

Drawback: The user’s vision is limited to infrared perception in this form.
Description: The user forms the hand seals, focusing chakra to their eyes. In this form, the pupil and triangles of the Sansuegan will transition from pure white to a vivid crimson color and begin to glow slightly. In this form, the user is capable of perceiving objects as heat signatures. Due to this their vision becomes penetrating, bypassing walls and barriers if they so chose to view heat signatures behind them. The user must repeat the hand seals to cancel this technique.
Limit: Must be a born member of the Sakurai Clan. Must have Sansuegan: Shoten.

[Solus]

Silence and cold, that was all the woman could see when it came to heat, except for the hot bubbles that were the birds, the two men and herself. However, something else, something most interesting was to be seen, the very ice itself was filled with a low amount of white chakra, slowly dispersing, seeing the speed at which it disperses you can make an educated guess that the ice 'appeared' here about fifteen hours ago.

Then there are two other interesting things, two trails of chakra, one, most brilliant and starting at the four frozen figures with their swords on the street would go over the sea, disappearing behind the horizon. Another trail of chakra was to be seen, it was weird and gold coloured. Coming from the inland it would go all over the village, before eventually going past the two men towards the boats and from there onto the sea. Finally there was a speck of chakra, darker than black, pulsing somewhere in the middle of the building behind the frozen swordfighters.

With her eyes activated, she could see many things and could deduct even more. Only two men remained and nothing else, although there were traces of chakra too. She guessed the ice appeared about fifteen hours ago, these men were gone for how long was it? There were two trails of chakra. The first one started at the four frozen figures and would disappear into the sea. The other one was strangely in gold, it came from inland and would be dispersed through the whole village and disappeared into the sea. From this she could deduct the golden chakra belonged to a guy who was the reason it all happened, he/she fought with the four frozen figures plus one person who probably left after the that golden chakra person. Wait, there was another chakra in the middle of the building, just behind the frozen four, it was really dark. She would examine it closer to see where it would lead to, prepared to fight at any moment she formed handseals to activate her favorite technique.

Effect: The user creates high pressure air cubes.

Drawback: Doesn’t do anything on its own. Can be seen by some doujutsu (sharingan, byakugan ect).
Description: The user performs hand seals to make ten invisible high pressure air cubes in a five meter radius around the user. The technique can be activated unlimited times in a battle. The cubes are 1x1 meters and floats around the user’s body making him/her clothes, hair ect. move (looks cool). The cubes are always moving around the user and do not need constant chakra channeling to it, it’s one time technique. The cubes last until they are depleted by a technique or the user dispels them. The user can control the cubes in a twenty meter radius around them and can make a total of ten cubes when first learnt. Additional C rank training adds five meters to the control that can be trained up to forty five meters and adds ten cubes that can be trained up to one-hundred.
Limit: Must have Fuuton. Must have at least 250 TP in Fuuton.

[Solus]

Entering the premise you find yourself in quite a large hall that seems to take up most of the entire building. Here the ice seemed to have hit the hardest, sharp icicles hang dangerously from the ceiling, some lay smashed on the floor, whereas the entire floor was covered in a thick sheet of ice.

This building seemed to have functioned as a shady night club, there are several circular platforms dotting the floor, each with a sturdy metal pole in the middle that ran up from the platform all the way to the building. There hadn't been many customers in there as there were only six people sitting around a pole, all gazing at the door, including a half naked woman, who had been frozen to the very pole itself.

All of them were looking at a doorway. Just the doorway, as the door which used to have been there was lying on the floor with a hand sticking from underneath it, the entire thing had frozen to the floor. Ravens had also found these sources of food, as they used their sharp bills to hack away the frozen stuff and access the cold meat underneath. Upon Abumi's form entering they would fly away from her and huddle up together, eyeing her every move.

The pounding black chakra was behind the doorway, there she would find a small office. Some closets were placed against the walls and in the middle was a desk with a chair, nothing special. In the middle of this disk was a single letter, with the envelope in which it had been sent next to it. The chakra would be coming from the letter itself, which bore a single symbol: A large kanji, which mean ‘Here’ in the centre. Surrounding this there were Kanji in a circle meaning the following: “Forth, with timeless, infinite speed, comes to this spot, saint, paragon, son of Thunder, through all things and all time come”.

Chiaki would enter a building which was covered in ice again but in this one, it seemed it was effected more than others. She looked around to see what this building was, it was used as a nightclub. There were dancing poles, a bar and six people who were staring her way, of course they were frozen. The person who did this entered and then froze all of them was her next conclusion. As she took a step forward, ravens would fly away from her and land somewhere else inside the building, they were all following her footsteps. Still with her sansuegan activated, she would look around more closely.

She spotted the black chakra once more and followed its trace and was careful to not slip on the ice. She followed the chakra trace to an office, where she looked around. There was something on the table and she went there to pick it up. It was some kind of a letter with a large kanji on it, it meant "Here". Chiaki did not know what the meaning here was supposed to mean but there were kanji surrounding it too. “Forth, with timeless, infinite speed, comes to this spot, saint, paragon, son of Thunder, through all things and all time come” She did not understand those verses but would probably take this letter to ask the two outside.

She would quickly get out from the office and then from the club. She was now thinking what the person did in there, were they after something in that office? and what is the meaning of this letter. Chiaki would speed towards the two and when she was at their reach she would ask "Uhm, could you tell me what this building is? Well, better would be if you told me who owned the place." she would start of with an easy question and then she took out the letter "Do you understand what is written on this letter with the kanji?"

[Solus]

Though the old man hadn't moved a muscle the young lad just came out of a cabin, his arms filled with fishing equipment he seems to have somehow pulled himself together. "That place? It's uhm... The... Local... Club... Yeh, the local club. I have no idea who owned it though, never seen him here since I live here." The old man, still seated at the seaside mumbled something. The boy pondered a bit over his answer before the second question would pull him back to reality.

He bended over and squinted his eyes. His nose almost touching the paper he started to move his mouth without speaking a word for two seconds. "He..he.. here, yes... 'Here'. It says here! And this circle... Fo.. o...orth, with time... time ... time... timeless, infin... infin.. infinite speed... Comes to this spot, saint, pa-pa-para-paragon, son of Th... th... thunder, through all things and all time come." He would stand up and give the girl a thumbs up with a nervous smile. "I am a good reader, ain't I?" He said, his voice overflowing with pride. It seemed that the ability to read was rare in this forty houses village. And this guy seemed to be sure of the fact that his reading skills had now almost certainly earned him a date.

They young boy moved towards her and tried to read the message she was showing him. It seemed like he had difficulty even reading it therefore there was a slim chance he would understand the verses at all. Well, no surprise, he really did not know what it was. Her only next step would be to investigate the other chakra trace. She would hop into one of the boats to follow the white chakra trace, hopefully its not that far "I am going to borrow this boat. I'll return it later, thanks!" and she rowed away from them in the chakra direction. Her eyes would still be activated so she would see the trace and not get lost.

[Solus]

She just took a boat and stated that she would borrow it. "No No!" The boy would speak, jumping into the boat. "This boat is all we have left, you can't just take it!" The old man would wave him away "Make sure she returns, I have... things to do."

The boy would nod at his father, getting away from here seemed something that didn't bother him. That there was a hot lady on board made this choice even simpler for him. He watched her pick up an oar, she clearly had no idea of how sailboats worked. "Uhm miss, that is not going to get us far... Allow me." He would speak, unhooking the jib and main sail. Pulling two ropes he would raise the triangular sails into the mast. Releasing the ropes that bound the ship to the docks he would give a gentle push, allowing the boat to freely drift with it's point into the wind. Two sheets were connected to the loose end of the jib, the boy would give her one that ran down the left of the boat and took the sheet of the main sail himself, holding the helm with his 'free' hand.

"Pull the the sheet, miss, that is the rope you are holding." When she did he would do the same with the main sail, giving the helm a push they would suddenly end up with the wind coming from the front into the sails at a forty five degree angle. For this particular type of ship this would allow it to gain the maximum speed. It wouldn't be long before the would be cruising out into the sea at quite the speed, far faster than she could ever row. "Where did you want to go?"

Looking at the boat, she attempted to row but she hardly moved. The young boy would object her borrowing the boat but it seems his father was sending him with her which was good and bad news. Good was that she did not need to row and bad would be she would have to defend him if they were attacked. The gentleman would help row the boat for her and she would be pointing her fingers at the trail for him to follow. "You know, I must warn you. We are following a trace of someone who could have caused the destruction of your village but don't worry, I'll protect you.". She pointed her fingers at the direction they needed to sail. The terrain was looking pretty good, there was water everywhere which could work to her advantage as well.

[Solus]

"You know, I must warn you. We are following a trace of someone who could have caused the destruction of your village but don't worry, I'll protect you." The boy would laugh, seriously doubting her words. "Believe it or not, I did very well up till now without anyone protecting me." Whether he was trying to impress her or speaking the truth would be something for the redhead to guess.

Turning the ship into the way she pointed he would pull the sheet that was connected to the main sail a bit more. The ship would greatly catch speed and start to lean over slightly to one side. Skilfully the boy kept the ship in exactly the right position, you could say about him whatever you wanted, but he could sail as a master.

In the distance a ship would appear, nearing the two, with the Jolly Roger high in the mast. However, the ship didn't engage, suddenly they would turn around and leave. The boy would shrug as he saw this happening and would continue following the brilliant and yellow chakra trails he couldn't see. In the distance an island appeared. It seemed that both chakra trails were heading there.

Weird, the man wouldn't treble or even scared after she warned him, he just laughed and said he could take care of himself. He's probably bluffing, earlier he looked like he could barely read but still, they would see if anything happens. Soon, a ship would appear near them. it would come closer and closer but it did not look like they would be attacking anytime soon as the ship turned around and fled. "How weird." she thought. "Do you recognize this ship at all?" she turned to the man and asked him about the ship. Not long after she asked him that an island appeared, it did not look that big and two chakra trails were heading there. So she would expect at least two people? Chiaki would keep an eye for the ships direction as it fled until she would not see it anymore or they would land at the island. "Could you land at the island?"

[Solus]

"Do you recognize this ship at all?" The boy merely shrugged. The ship went away as quickly as it could and it wouldn't be long before it was just an indistinguishable dot. "Could you land at the island?" The boy leaned to the side to get a better look. "Depends, only if I can find a correct anchoring place. Or we might need to swim a bit. You can swim, can't you?"

He would bring the ship closer to the island, but it would soon appear that things were not as they should be. For a tropical island it would be quite cold. The ice around the island stretched into the sea for at least twenty meters. On the island itself the palm trees were bending over under the weight of snow and ice. Another sailboat was embedded within the ice, quite the peculiar position for a ship in such a state. The boy would throw out the anchor next to the edge of the ice and carefully lower the sails before trying to step on the ice. For some weird reason it was really strong on the edge. "Watch out as you step on here miss, it's cold." The boy spoke, extending his hand. He was probably indeed suffering from the cold as he was standing with his bare feet on the ice.

On the beach you would see a familiar scene, three men are standing in front of a hut, frozen solid in their fighting postures. The yellow chakra trail continues beyond the island, but the brilliant chakra trail is surrounding the three, just before ending abruptly in the hut. It is from inside the hut that you hear sounds. As if someone was throwing wood around in the shack.

So the ship would disappear soon enough which raised the question "What were they doing out here". Of course when it disappeared so fast the man would probably no be able to look at it carefully to recognize the ship. The man would speak to her nonetheless "Depends, only if I can find a correct anchoring place. Or we might need to swim a bit. You can swim, can't you?". Of course she can swim but she can also walk on the water "Yea, why not." she replied not telling him she could walk too. Soon they were very near the island and he was looking for a place to anchor the boat. There was another one anchored at the edge of ice which was stretching from the beach to the boat.

They finally landed near the anchored boat, this means someone was here already. The beach would look normal if not for the frozen people standing in front of a hut "Watch out as you step on here miss, it's cold." the man said while walking barefooted on the ice. Chiaki had no problem at all walking on it as she had shoes. "What's your name? Call me Dr. Abumi." she needed to know his name so she could call out to him in dangerous situations. They heard a noise inside the hut and she would put forward her hand to signal him to stop. She than changed her eyes to her heat vision to determine how many people are inside than she would create the handsigns for her favorite jutsu making her clothes and hair wavering like wind was blowing on at her and than found a large log she could use for her substitution technique she just prepared for if needed. "Hide in a bush quietly." she said to him.
