Personality:
Appearance:
DID) Dissociative Identity Disorder or Alter Ego
Rank: "C" Rank
Skill: None
Effect: Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a condition in which a single person displays multiple distinct identities or personalities (known as alter egos or alters), each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. The diagnosis requires that at least two personalities routinely take control of the individual's behavior with an associated memory loss that goes beyond normal forgetfulness; in addition, symptoms cannot be due to drug use or medical condition. Individuals diagnosed with DID demonstrate a variety of symptoms with wide fluctuations across time; functioning can vary from severe impairment in daily functioning to normal or high abilities. Symptoms can include:
multiple mannerisms, attitudes and beliefs that are not similar to each other
headaches and other body pains
distortion or loss of subjective time
depersonalization
amnesia
depression
derealization
flashbacks of abuse/trauma
unexplainable phobias
sudden anger without a justified cause
lack of intimacy and personal connections
frequent panic/anxiety attacks
auditory hallucinations of the personalities inside their mind
Patients may experience an extremely broad array of other symptoms that resemble epilepsy, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and eating disorders.
It has been theorized that severe sexual, physical, or psychological trauma in childhood predisposes an individual to the development of DID. The steps in the development of a dissociative identity are theorized to be as follows:
The child is harmed by a trusted caregiver (often a parent or guardian) and splits off the awareness and memory of the traumatic event to survive in the relationship.
The memories and feelings go into the subconscious and are experienced later in the form of a separate personality.
The process happens repeatedly at different times so that different personalities develop, containing different memories and performing different functions that are helpful or destructive.
Dissociation becomes a coping mechanism for the individual when faced with further stressful situations.
Someone how is diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, may experience distinct identities or personality. Normally the split personality has opposing character traits of the person, being considered as their opposite. While other times the persona is a subconscious desire of being like that, or the subconscious desire that is suppress. When the alter ego takes control of the body, they seem to be more in-tuned with the body. Displaying remarkable abilities and feats that the person wouldn't ordinary do. The split-personality is also tougher in more way's then the normal person, they are also more tolerant to pain since they are usually a manifestation of it. Though the person and his alter persona's share the same body, there threshold for pain is separate. When one of them feel pain the others are unaffected by it. However, this doesn't mean there body is at hundred percent when a alter ego comes out when the person has suffered so much pain they lose control. The alter ego may not feel or experience of pain his counter-part has experience, but there body is still physically damaged.
Special: The alter ego is tougher than the person, please note that being tougher doesn't mean they are stronger or faster than before. It just mean they are more harder to beat, cause they know how to use there body better than before.
Drawback: When a alter ego surfaces it's quite hard for them to return back to the subconscious. Unless, their is a certain trigger that can relax them returning them back to there normal self. The alter ego will surface if the person is near-death, sick, seriously injured or in some cases intoxicated.
Description: When a alter persona surfaces certain physical changes may occur. This usually happens so that the persona may show off their own independent personality. This can be in a range of the person's hair changing color or style, eye color changing from blue to green, or even their voice getting deeper or lighter. It depends on how the personality wishes to make himself known.
[Ex] A C Ranking Shinobi is with Alter Ego is fighting against a B Ranking Shinobi, hand's down the Higher ranking ninja win. However, the Shinobi's alter ego took control halfway during the battle and now the B Ranking Shinobi will have a harder time defeating the him now since he become abnormally tougher to take down. This is of course not counting one's Rping Skills. Still the B Ranking Shinobi is more powerful and still defeat the C Ranking one, but with more effort put in to it. When someone has a Split-personality, their other persona is more capable and talented fighter than their counter-part. If everyone was listed by challenge rating an alter ego would boast up ones challenging rating somewhat. Were going to look at someone who is C Rank and Considered a Challenge Rating 2. Depending on how many alter ego's they have depends on how tougher they become when in a fight.
One Counter-part: Challenging rating 2.5
Two Counter-parts: Challenging rating for first counter-part 2.3, Second counter-part 2.6
Three Counter-parts: Challenging rating for first counter-part 2.3, Second counter-part 2.5, Third counter-part 2.7
Four Counter-parts: Challenging rating for first counter-part 2.2, Second counter-part 2.4, Third counter-part 2.6, and Fourth counter-part 2.8
Limit: Must obtain this when you first make your character, you can't get this later on or even in a re-vamp of a current bio. The person needs to ask for creator permission or Higher staff. (Admin or Head-mod). The person is not allowed to have more than four split personality, if they have more than four they are unable to obtain this technique.
Tsukihime's personality is divided into two parts. Her main personality is True Neutral, wishing to preserve balance in the world by acting as the necessary chaos to counter stagnating peace. She's extremely loyal to Kirigakure, or rather future of Kirigakure. She'll strive to do what it takes to re-establish the village and bring the necessary balance it needs to exist. Living in the true spirit of the Middle Path, Tsukihime strives not to overindulge into anything she does. In order for a person to exist completely within this world, they must have equal parts good and equal parts in evil. The world is not black and white, it is various shades of gray. Thus, the only thing that matters is the truth. Truth is something that she firmly believes in and seeks it as any philosopher does. When she speaks to someone, it need not matter whom they are aligned to, she'll speak the truth to them. If she is not obligated to reveal information, she'll explain as such. In this way, Tsukihime never lies, she may suggest something in a subtle fashion but nothing is fabricated. The reason for her lack of lying is due to her past trauma with her father.
Observing the way her father lived his life, she gained a strong disdain for lying. When she was younger it caused her to be aligned with Lawful good, which went against the teachings of the clan. How can one destroy their enemies if they're attacking them with a sheathed blade? As she grew up, she came to realize that in order to get things done, one needed to remove the "white gloves". Particularly, Kirigakure needed such actions taken. Perhaps if she was within a different village, in a different family her thoughts would be different. Her views on the world, combined with her spirituality, make it hard for her to relate to people. she doesn't quite understand what drives people to be entirely good or entirely evil. What she does understand is the rule of equivalent exchange. Thus in her dealings with people she strives to fufill conditions. This makes her not only a good person to do business with but its easy to view her as an ally. The reason for this is Trust, if Tsukihime forms a bond with you then it's based on trust. A level of trust that's so blind, so commited, that it appears as if one could easily take advantage of her.
This is a giant weakness as her family as well as her father's friends in the council have done just that. The breaking of trust, the epitome of bonds, touches upon her dark side. If someone does you wrong then you must retaliate with equal endeavour. By family law, such traitors must be punished by death. These are some of the only ways to get her to deal with death. She isn't necessairly font of killing, much less violence. In that way, she is quite a pacifist. As long as it doesn't break the family laws or the laws of the land, she'll spare a fallen warrior. However considering she's an Akumu, this is rarely ever the case. The next aspect to her darkside is that while she can be vengeful if she's manipulated, she's equally good at turning the manipulation around on her adversaries. In situations where she could be manipulated, she'll take subtle actions to ensure that betrayal doesn't happen or to set the manipulation on equal grounds with her own desires. Recall, the rule of equivalent exchange.
Her other personality is the one that embodies the true sense of not just Akumu but Kamyuja as well. Aligned to Chaotic Evil, her alter ego does whatever it wants, whenever it wants. There is no balance for this side. She'll over indulge in whatever she wants. Men, Sake, food, combat, these four things are what this side believes in the most. Even without the effects of chaos, it's not hard for this side to go on a bloodlust. Tsukihime detests this side of herself, strivng to control it's chaos with as much counter-balance as she can. The other side of Tsukihime, doesn't consider herself another entity at all. Thus when she speaks to others and even to Tsukihime within their inner world; it is as Kamiko. She is nicknamed Kuro-Tsukihime or Kurokamiko by her light half. When either personality kicks in, the opposing side suffers from amnesia. However they've developed a method to keep communication with each other high. Thus petty human problems are conquered by intelligence. Yes despite being self-indulgent, Kurokamiko is quite intelligent. She seeks battle and enjoys bloodlust but only from superior opponents. If the opponent is weak, then she will cease her activity. Survival of the fittest or only the strong pervailing is a farce for this one. She strives to prey on strong opponents and leaves weaklings to their own devices. She also cares deeply for her other half because its in her best interst to keep the landlady alive. They share a mentor student relationship, for at times when Kamiko doesn't understand something, her other personality "gets" it.
The only laws that matter to this chaotic evil being are the laws of the clan, which thus protect the country itself. You do not destroy the home which provides you with sake, men, and the oppertunity for battles. Everything else (allies included), is fair game! After all, allies is such a trivial bond, here today and gone tommorow.
Appearing almost like a porceilan doll or a geisha without her makeup, Kamiko is exquisite. She can easily be described as moe, though her appearance doesn't fit with her age. Her hair is pinned up with a special head piece. Worn by princesses and clan leaders alike, the gold piece is a sight to behold. Attached to each end (four in total) is a purple string which connects the gold ornmanets to it. Several strands of hair are held up with the pice and wrapped like a bow. Kamiko's hair is akin to a raven's hue, except lightly highlighted with purple. The golden ornament worn atop her crown is a testament to her status in her family. The bangs of Tsukihime are woven into a purple silken strand. The ends on either side are gold, allowing the black tresses to float freely outside its length. The remainder of her bangs are straight and reach past the eyebrows. Towards the back her hair flows freely and is slightly curled at the ends.
The Akumu's skin tone is quite pale, giving the vibe of moon-kissed skin. Her facial features are soft, appearing to be just on the cusp of maturity. Her eyes are round with her pupils being an indigo-purple hue. Her eyebrows are thin and serve to set her features well. Her nose is small and straight, whilst her lips are thin.
To understand Tsukihime's attire, you must first understand that she's wearing several layers of Kimono. This is a traditional garb for clan leaders, particularly female ones. It starts with an inner layer that is a sole white kimono. The sleeves are quite long, serving to mask her hands well. This is a sign of purity, as the slightest reveal of a woman's hand was considered a tease, akin to the modern day flash of skin. The second layer of kimono was a deep shade of purple, appearing almost crimson. It's signed with that of a moon insignia, a subtle reference to the chaos as well as hunting within the night. Arond her neck is a mirror necklace. It parts from the mirror to reveal golden ornaments and lavender beads. The chain moves downto th legs, reaching just past the thighs.
The second layer of kimono is parted to rest firmly upon the shoulders. It falls past the knees, touching the ground as she walks. This hindering garb requires a more delicate and graceful step in the wearer's walk. It's tied with a silk white obi, flailing in a lovely butterfly-style bow. The bottom strands fluttering along the sides of her figure. Hidden well beneath her garb are the crimson sandals worn. These are just slightly thinner than the standard ninja issue and have several thin straps moving across the base of the feet. The heel is also slightly bigger, giving her a small height boost (to 5'5).
History:
[/blockquote]
This story begins with the legends of a great man. Akumu Jishiro, a hardened warrior who protected his home. He was a devout follower of Akumu laws and while not Akumu by blood, married into the clan and proved his worth. Born as Kamyuja Jishiro, his comrades went on to become leader of the Mist council and fellow council woman and legendary kunoichi. They who devoted everything to their home, how did it become so interwined with darkness?
Let's flash forward to early days of the Council. After not being voted as Shodaime Mizukage, he was instead elected to stay on with the council. He had gotten on in his years and finally dedicated some time to family life. His daughter was a young lass, whom he had high hopes for. She would inherit his legacy. At the time, he appeared content; after all he had much work to do with his daughter. From an early age he pushed her past the limits of not just a normal human girl, but a Kamyuja girl. His wife had died upon giving birth to their daughter, he would name her Kamiko. Her first word was "ninja" and this had pleased him so. He had so many plans for his daughter and himself. He was planning on a way to destroy his fellow councilmen. This way he could finally become Kage and take Mist in the direction it should!
As for his daughter, she would serve as his secret weapon and pride. He could not lead the sect of the clan as an outsider, but she would be graced with the heiress position. He debated even entering her into the ninja academy. This debate lead to his plans to manipulate the council. He convinced them that they needed to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. To do this, they would need their own private soldiers. Ones who could ensure that Kirigakure remained under tight focus. This quiet plan was groomed and discussed within meetings. How would they handle the registration? These were problems that they debated for a long time. Thus they would not take effect until Ciel's reign as Mizukage. The village had weakened, but Ciel maintained the strength and served to kindle a new mist. Her mysterious absence was the result of Kirigakure's phantoms. Effectively Kidnapping her as they did Nidaime Mizukage in the past. During this time they had no name, sometimes they were even notorious missing ninja.
One such member was Natsuki's father, whom came to be defeated by Toshizo. The council had also discovered another interesting ploy, the Daimyo was a very gullable man. He was also known to be somewhat greedy. Thus he was easy to manipulate and the council effectively ran the country. Jishiro proceeded to make friends with members of the Daimyo's court. They would help to elect clansmen whom sided with Jishiro into positions of political power. So when the council was eliminated years later, the seeds of evil remained. Yet let us remain within the past, only then can we tie Kamiko into this dreaded web of evil.
It all began with the abuse, a trauma so unfitting for a heiress. Her father trained her to the bone. Whenever she failed him, he would proceed to abuse her. His actions never found out by the family. Always masked as rigorous training, though the women had become concern on more than one occassion. Due to Jishiro's standing, they could not launch any particular investigations upon his actions. It's not clear when the mental disorder rose to the surface, but she was diagnosed with autism by a Kiri Medic Nin. The medic ninja noted how well her memory was, noting that she seemed to enjoy repetitive tasks, such trivia and reading. This mental endurance was preyed upon by her father for further training. He sought to bring out the chaos within her. However to do that, he ensured she was well trained in the basics. Upon completition of the academy, he sent her out to Tsuki no Kuni, where she would learn Gintsuki no Mai.
During this time, Jishiro had established and concealed a security weakness in Kirigakure. It was that of shinobi registration and identification. The council could create and mask shinobi at their will. Access to the records were limited to Mizukage and Council only, thus even ANBU were kept in the dark. When she left out to Tsuki no Kuni, her registration became that of a Phantom. Unlike his own records and records of the council member, Kamiko Akumu didn't "exist", except in the hands of the council. These phantoms were canidates taken out of the academy, as they possesed exceptional capabilities. The council then declared such records did not exist so a Mizukage could never obtain their information. These ninja would soon become known as kurokiri, Black Mist. When the daimyo requested missions that could not be done for political reasons, the council eased his woes. This helped them to obtain private funding to continue operating their special task force.
As for Kamiko, the reprieve of her father did well to shape whom she is. One of her fellow students in Moon was a monk. His wisdom was vast, his intelligence sharp; he taught Kamiko about the ways of the world. He enlightened her about truth and took on a senpai-kouhai relationship with her. Together they moved through the ranks, diligently learning techniques, but before she could learn the final jutsu and ascend to master, she was called back. She was temporarily situated in Kirigakure and on her off time was forced to learn Kenjutsu. Once Jishiro felt his daughter had the knowledge necessary, he'd finally educate her on the way of a superior being.
Forced to battle in elaborate jail cells, Kamiko was pit against deadly criminals. The endless fighting left her exhausted, insomnia creeping into her form. In order to survive she attempted to remember the words of the monk, but it seemed it was not enough. Her mind able to tolerate the repitition well, breed a persona within her. She had been fighting against the criminals pittied on her for so long, she began to enjoy it. The council would continue to treat her like an animal, rewarding her for each kill with whatever she desired. This was how kurokamiko emerged fully into existence. Previously, she was but a sliver of consciousness. Emerging only during moments of intense stress from her father. Yet during her trials and tribulations the two sides began to converse. Chaos was achieved and controlled from herself and her enemies. The essence of the battlefield engraved into her eyes! She progressed through the ember hues and finally embodying the black hues of chaos.
Unfortunately Jishiro's lust for power and control did not end the girl's miserable existence there. Chaos came with a steep price, her eyesight was fading into darkness and so for medical purposes she was removed from the intense rigment. She needed to have the surgery done, which was held in private in the capital. During this time her father would recite critical shinobi information, ensuring that she memorized the handbook and everything he told her. The girl truly embodied the spirit of a ninja, that is...to become a tool of power. She did not rebel against her father, her comprehension weakened to that of believing in the world Jishiro created. Now that Kurokiri was fully established and continued to receive the Daimyo's "special" funding, upon recovery of the surgery she would proceed to be sent out on "missions".
During these missions, she became obsessed with music and literature. She could not sate her lust for knowledge. During her off-time (which wasn't all that long), she'd proceed to read constantly. Her only known vacation was to a temple in Kaminari no kuni where she met a Sage. He was a wiseman and a Blacksmith. He rarely left his abode except when he went out to the temple. In the temple who would reflect upon his life and pursue enlightement. He was her mentor and ultimately the one whom taught her "The Middle Path" in life. When Chaos was tamed and used to shift the balance, a neutral state could be achieved. Nirvana on Earth, this became her philosophy to live by.
During this time the girl was thirteen years old, Hachidaime Mizukage had come into power after the short reign of Rokudaime and Shichidaime before her. Her missions had kept her out of the country until that fateful day. Jishiro, ready to finally cease the title of Mizukage; called her back. Her mission was to assign messages and co-ordinate ninja in mist. She was disguised in the garb of ANBU for this mission, used to trick the ninja she was delivering messages to. She appeared to one particular ANBU, Toshizo to "activate" him. Once activation of everyone in Jishiro's plan was complete, she became idle for a short duration. It was this duration that the girl used to figure out her family history and the plans of the council. Growing up the council had been like an extended family to her. Now that she had become more "aware", she saw them less and less as a family.
Upon discovery of the truth of the council's plans, she attempted to track down the Seven Swordsman of Kirigakure. Alas, they were all away on missions or leave of absence. Before her message could get to either of them, Jishiro discovered her. Realizing he could no longer use his daughter and fearing the latent power that had built up within her, he and other family members trapped the girl in Imprisonment. The seal was quite effective and this where the void in Kamiko's story commences. No recollection of the events of this time come across her memory. She stayed within this stasis for nineteen years, before discovery. The Akumu village was long gone, no longer what it used to be. There she was discovered by a group of lders. The imprisonment was removed, yet she was asked if she was ready to serve her purpose. Not wanting to be banished into imprisonment she simply complied.
Once more she was activated as Kurokiri held new masters. It also had new members but at the moment they were all sent away. Kamiko was reunited with her family members once more. They had taken residence in Kawa no Kuni. The remaining year she focused upon information gathering and rebuilding her family. The title of Tsukihime was bestowed upon her, for her domain of power resonated within the night. she reconnected with her mentor in Kaminari no Kuni and while she gathers information, she aids his plans. It began with her stealthful appearanc in Mizu no Kuni, despite being sent on absence. The Hachidaime was slained by an Uchiha. A sole mask was taken from the scene of the murder, whisked away by the darkness.
Currently she is now within Kaminari no Kuni once more, just what sort of "mission" was she on. How would she find out about the new Mizukage or the past events of nineteen years? The story begins now.
