Daichi Kangoku No Jutsu (Earth Prison Technique)
Rank: "D","C","B"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Raises Earth in a circle radius around the person of the user's choice. It can have a maximum base diameter of 3 meters.
Special: Hanseals, Hold Rabbit
Drawback: The earth prison is not closed at the top, so it is possible for the victim to escape.
Description: Earth rises up around the targeted person quickly to a maximum height of 10 feet, trapping them inside. At D rank this technique is little more then a distraction or simple defense, only able to absorb a simple "D" ranked attack before it crumbles. Only the part that is attacked will collapse, unless the structural integrity of the entire prison is compromised. At C rank it becomes much harder and resists attacks better, but with persistence victim can break free (1 C rank). At B rank the prison is extremely hard and thick, made of solid rock. It is very difficult to break and will reflect most ninjutsu techniques back upon the victim. Although this attack is only B ranked, its is extremely tough and will stand up to most jutsu, including all B ranked techniques. Piercing jutsu will be most effective in breaking the wall.
Limit: Earth release, C rank requires rock creation "C", B rank requires rock creation "B".

Extremely pleased with himself for graduating, Jimarai walked with a gusto in his step, making his way through Iwagakure, looking upon it with a new light in his bright green eyes. The city seemed larger, it had more life. His father told him of a jutsu which he could find useful to gain a momentary breather in battle; Daichi Kangoku No Jutsu (Earth Prison Technique). So Jimarai was making his way over the rope bridges to Umou-Toshi(Lower District), having been to a restaurant in Appa-Toshi(Upper Town) with his parents.
He raced on ahead down to Umou-Toshi where some of the smaller training fields resided. Jimarai reached the fence and looked through to find no one gracing the field. He looked at the schedule pinned to the fence and found it was not in use for the next 2 hours.
Perfect, should be enough to find my feet and get a good idea of what I'm trying to do and how I'm gonna do it...
He walked out to the middle of the field, first surveying exactly what was around him.
The ground was broken in many places, like pillars had been spewed forth and were no longer there. What little grass there was could be found sporadically around the grounds (occasionally scorched), but more prominently at the edge of the field where several trees stood, most likely for aesthetic purposes he guessed.
Ok...So i send my chakra forth into the ground and I start to replicate the same principles from Doton Soushi no Jutsu. I make the edge of a wall structure...but its harder because the jutsu dictates the prison is of a circular structure, making it harder to maintain integrity of the structure... but there is obviously a way because father can perform this jutsu as a B rank technique...
This conundrum had Jimarai a little stumped. He was using Doton Soushi to experiment with the structure of walls.
Well there's only so much experimentation you can do before you need to test it.
He made the handseals slowly the first time, channeling his chakra into the ground, ebbing slowly so as to get the mix of earth and chakra at the right balance. He held the rabbit handseal and slowly a circular rim started to emerge from the ground. It started to expand outwards, as a ball does, and as it got to the stage where it thinned again at the bottom the structure started to collapse on itself.
He gave out an audible sigh. This jutsu was regularly done with just straight up walls in a circle radius, but that gave anyone inside a way to jump from one wall to the next and able to exit at the top. With a ball shape it makes it virtually impossible to escape unless you jump straight out.
He turned around, facing away from the pile of rubble and resolved to try again. This time he would do it straight out, nothing tricky, just a circle radius of 3m, straight walls. Jimarai took a breath, performed the handseals a bit faster this time and held the rabbit seal, sending his chakra out into the ground and moulding it with the earth.
Up sprang a 9m tall hollowed out cylinder, as the jutsu was designed. A wry smile crept across his face. He was happy that he had the jutsu down pat, but his father had specifically told him that a ball shape was most effective, and he had seen him perform the jutsu in that way on one occasion.
What am I doing exactly... I'm moulding my chakra with the earth ... The wall comes out at the surface of where.... I'm an idiot. I need to adjust the area at the surface where it comes out. I'm focusing on the 3m radius, and 1 hand length thickness, without adjusting the area at which it comes out, at the different stages of it coming out of the ground (i.e. a ball is not a cylinder, adjustments must be made to expand at the middle section and draw it back in).
Believing he had cracked it he turned to his left, this time facing the fence and the entrance, a look of determination and concentration upon his face. Making the handseals more confidently with more speed, he held the rabbit seal, and more importantly holding his concentration, the top of the prison began to appear and compensating for the change in radius, the rest of the prison appeared.
Jimarai opened his eyes and to his sheer delight there stood not 3m in front of him, the spherical prison his father had instructed him to try. Getting caught up in his joy he ran towards it and punched it, testing out its integrity. To his suprise, his fist flew threw it to the inside, it was incredibly thin. He had been trying to get it the thickness of the length of his hand, but it was only slightly thicker than the width of three of his fingers. He took a step back, peering into the structure he had created pleased with himself at achieving the goal he had set himself.
"Well well, you are a smart cookie aren't you, and it only took you an hour and half!" Inuyibi called out to Jimarai. He walked around his prison cell and grinned broadly at his mother who was beaming at him. He ran over to her and gave her a warm embrace and started to walk with her.
"Mum, whats for dinner?" Jimarai asked at the bequest of his grumbling stomach.
"Nothing until you clear up that little creation there" she replied coolly.
Oh yea...
Jimarai raced back through the fence and held the rabbit seal and the prison started to crumble and collapse. It slowly started to subside back below the ground, leaving a small degree of rubble in its place, and repeating the process with the other two attempts he had made.
It still needed work, but for now, his thoughts had turned to his stomach.
