PersonalityMinamoto could be said to have many faces. His personality can shift depending on who he’s interacting with. Having known whole hearted love, the young Shinobi is capable of fun, laughter and playfulness but only reveals that side of himself to the few he calls “friend”. Having also known great pain and hatred, Minamoto is open to meeting strangers but stays weary of them until he feels he has truly seen them for who they are. To the young man, there is no grey area between friend and enemy and everyone falls into one of the two categories.
Around both friends and enemies, Minamoto generally keeps to himself, believing that one gets more out of life by listening than by talking. Though when he’s truly alone, he likes to sing and watch for birds, refusing to let the traumas of his life keep him down, to quote his grandfather: “A life spent in anger is a wasted life”.
Friendship is something that this Kaguya takes quite seriously, a friend is someone you can trust with anything, someone to care for and protect and ultimately, someone you would give your life for, as his family and friends have done so for him. Although he may be the most awkward friend you’ll ever make, he’s also the most loyal, guaranteed.
When it comes to combat, Minamoto knows why he fights. Seeking to defend the weak and protect the innocent, he trains day in and day out to make sure that their fate and his own are never out of his control again. Being 6’2” and 180lbs. helps in getting his enemies to fear him but his most terrifying trait is the look in his eye when he decides that he wants someone dead. He’s a merciless fighter and has no hesitation in killing those who he thinks deserve it.
Although this young man has many qualities, behind his stone cold expression, he suffers every day with the traumas of his past. At age 13, having lost his last friend and family member, he closed off the part of himself that yearned for love and happiness and promised he would never have to go through such pain again. No man is an island, but Minamoto’s about as close as you can get, let’s just call him a peninsula.
AppearanceAt first sight, Minamoto has a fairly imposing figure, he’s tall and muscular and if you didn’t know any better, it would be easy to assume that he just walks around looking for someone to beat on. In truth, he’s as sweet as can be, but it doesn’t show through his facial piercings and sleeveless black, skin tight shirt which he wears under his unbuttoned jean jacket which has wings sewn into the back.
The Genin keeps his headband tied to his left arm, between the bicep and the shoulder and wears fingerless gloves that are decorated with a skeletal hand pattern on the outside and small metal studs down by the wrist. His finger tips are heavily callused and his clothing somewhat worn down and faded giving him a fairly rugged look, or maybe that’s the 5 foot long Odachi blade that hangs off the back of his shoulders and stretches diagonally all the way down to his knees.
Loose black cotton pants cover the shinobi’s legs as to keep them out of the blaring sun while still giving him the comfort and flexibility to move in combat. Minamoto’s feet are garnished with black sandals which next to his incredibly pale skin, make his feet look like they were made to camouflage with a zebra. Equipped with double bladed Kunai hanging from the breast pocket of his jacket and an equipment pouch full of shuriken tied to the back of his belt, the young man is always ready for combat.
Minamoto’s face is pale and the tops of his cheeks as well as his shoulders are therefore often sunburnt from living in the desert. Piercings cover his face, he claims that each one of them represents someone close to him that he’s lost but no one can really confirm that so you’d have to take his word for it. When going on a mission or into combat. A jar of face paint sits in the boy’s apartment that he wears when going into combat or on a mission. He puts on the black paint over the lids of his bright green eyes and the streaks it down his cheeks with his fingers.

Description: The Kaguya at this stage is capable of contracting their muscles pushing their very bones upwards and out of their body when desired. They are capable of dislocating the bone within the body and begin to ease it out without much effort. Because of the bone, calcium in their body the bone is quickly replaced from the one that is eased and pushed out. The way it works is that the Kaguya has a great control within their inner body. They can control their muscles and their bones better then any creation ever. With that saying, the bones and nerves constrict around the bone greatly, as the body works as a squeezer, squeezing out the bone out of the body until it finally pops out of the skin in which is needed later on for other techniques.
Limit: Kaguya Bloodlimit. This is the basic of basics and must be known in order to use other Jutsus of the Bloodlimit.

Effect: The user pushes the knuckles of their fingers a little outwards and quickly exerts out three claws from the indents of the knuckles into three like claws.

Drawback: "D" As long as the claws are out the user will undergo the disease capability because of the bones being within the inner body as well as the natural healing capability found within the Bones of the user.
Description: The user exerts outwards three claws from their inner part of their skin that is located near their knuckles. The bones along their fingers and the muscles along their fingers push out the bones in a hardened shape form. The bone solidifies making it seem like three large like claws as the claws are pushed out in a distance of approximately eighteen inches in length.

Effect: The user open palms taking out what would look like a boned boomerang and hurls it towards the user for quick release.

Description: The user creates a boomerang projectile out of the palm of their hand. They quickly contract the muscles within their arm and hand and ease it out. As they do so the muscles and the rapid healing motion quickly occurs even more as the bone is bent more and more to create what would look like a boomerang. The user then quickly hurls the bone towards the opponent as it would fly out sailing into the air, but do to the mechanics of the bone and even though it is shaped quite nicely the boomerang does not come back to the user when thrown.

Description: When the user first learns this technique they are capable of attacking multiple times in a blinding rage fashion against the opponent pushing forward cutting anything in its path. Depending on the user's capability and mobility within how many movements, they are capable of stresses on how much the user is capable of using this technique within a single sided session. The user runs forward slashing with their bone claws. The user is capable of holding this technique for as long as how many movements they are capable. The way it looks is that he user moves with such speed that it seems that they are attacking in a blinding rage swinging their arms up and down rapidly in a violent form. Since a normal technique allows a user the capability of swinging both arms or feet for one movement this allows the user the capability of swinging both arms twice within one movement.

Description: The user uses what they know of their Bone Claws. The user quickly hunches down bending their knees greatly as they would quickly jump up twisting their body upwards. Their first arm is extended outwards, as they twist around having their arm along the opposite end to backhand slash against the opponent quickly. The user spins a total of four to five times while performing this technique capable of slashing or gaining momentum to slash at the opponent if needed before touching the ground.

Description: A technique that launches finger bones in a projectile like form. The Muscles and the nerves contract against one another greatly to where they somewhat spiral in within the body. When the user constricts their fingers in such a way, they begin to push the bullet outwards as the bullet begins to gain pressure from the way it is constricted until the bone is projected out of the human body spiraling at high speeds being sent off towards its target.

Stinger Bones

Effect: The user quickly launches their spinal vertebrae towards the opponent in a blinding fashion in multiple segments.

Drawback: This technique uses the same amount of drawback as that of "B" Rank because of the capability of this technique. For as long as the technique is out and connected within the body states that the technique will continue to eat up against the opponent.
Description: The user quickly crouches downwards lifting up their body slightly to aim their back towards the opponent, or up into the air. The user quickly then uses the concept of Hessendan (Finger Bullets) and pushes out the bones within their vertebrae individually. The user then quickly pushes out, shooting their vertebrae in a blinding vision shooting all twenty-six bones towards the opponent. Now what makes this technique so special and even more dangerous is that do to the concept and structure of the vertebrae the user is capable of arching their projectiles, to make them curve towards the opponent. This means that if the user were capable of guessing where the opponent may be that would be in front of them in an angle the user is capable shooting towards that direction, but of course nothing awkward like behind the user.

Yanagi no Mai (Dance of the Willows)

Effect: A TaiJutsu technique dedicated to the arts of moving fluently to attack multiple ranges around using fluent motions while using two concentrated features along their arms as primary weapons.

Drawback: As long as the bones are within the very palms, it slowly begins to take the effect of the Disease as it is needed in order to keep the arm from becoming weak, and then failing.
Description: Extending from both palms are two lance-like bone protrusions, usually around 1-1.3 meters in length, which is a little smaller than a typical katana. It takes quite a bit of balance to even begin with this graceful dance of death, for each attack is a graceful dancer-esque motion, flowing like water between each motion. As such, this very dance is quite flexible, allowing for a large range of motion from strike to strike. Thus, it is indeed possible to flow from strike to strike, or instantly change up how one would have struck before, within the motions of the arm of the human body of course. Due to this nature, it is most effective when used to battle groups or swarms of enemies, as it makes it much easier to create a perfectly harmonic balance of attack and defense. This is known as the First Dance of the Kaguya. With this dance, one is able to strike 4 different directions within 1 movement (2 with each hand). They may not concentrate the strike on one area, but will spread the strikes about them to multiple targets.

Tsubaki no Mai (Dance of the Camellia)

Effect: A technique known where the user takes their own bone along their arm, and uses it in a dance formation attacking all those around, while still moving giving them the agility speed to evade certain capabilities.

Drawback: The first initial movement of taking out the bone costs as much as a normal "C" Rank due to its extreme size.
Description: A bone extends from the shoulder, what can be seen in the beginning resembling what appears to be a hilt, the rest of the bone still within the flesh. As the Kaguya pulls the bone from his body, it is instantly replaced with another bone in its stead, so as not to cause the Kaguya any form of discomfort. The bone itself is more katana-like, however the bone itself is less refined than that of Yanagi no mai, but that does not make it any less deadly. Lacking in the fluid grace to the extremes like that of Yanagi no Mai, the Kaguya is usually continuously on the move, making him quite the difficult target for enemies. Even though it no longer has the grace, it makes up for this loss with its impressive speed, normally striking before the opponent even has time to react. This is the Second Dance of the Kaguya. This technique allows the kaguya to strike twice within the same movement. The reason this technique comes after the Yanagi no Mai in training is because of the speed with which these 2 strikes can be delivered. Though you are losing 2 strikes between this and its predecessor, you are gaining exceptional speed. While performing this dance you move at a speed as if you were 1 rank higher then you actually are are (S ranks gain 2 movements). So for each of those movements you will be capable of striking 2 times.

Karamatsu no Mai (Dance of the Pines)

Effect: A Technique known for the great usage. The user becomes a defensive offensive creation creating their bones into a porcupine like form spinning towards the opponent slashing and ripping with ease.

Drawback: As long as the bones are out of the body in a porcupine form, it slowly begins to take the effect of the Disease as it is needed in order to keep the arm from becoming weak, and then failing.
Description: One of the few and far between defensive maneuvers of the Kaguya, it lacks the overall grace of Yanagi no Mai and Tsubaki no Mai, as well as lacks the offensive capabilities of either one; however it possesses a different sort of usefulness that neither of them could ever duplicate. Spine-like bones will sprout from all over the Kaguya's body, covering him like a deadly porcupine, but this is only the first part of this deadly creation. The Kaguya will now rise on his toes and spin at a hyper-accelerated rate, creating the perfect defense against close combat TaiJutsu, however NinJutsu will bypass this defense with ease. Any close combat fighters that happen to be caught within the rotation will most likely lose their life, being ripped to shreds by the spine-like bones covering the Kaguya's body, an effective death sentences should anyone get too close. This is the Third Dance of the Kaguya

Tessenka No Mai (Dance of the Clematis)

Description: By far the most disgusting of the Kaguya abilities, this is also one of the most powerful, as it contains two branches where the others did not. The spinal cord will burst forth from the Kaguya's back, allowing them to grip it and rip it out the rest of the way, the flesh healing as the spinal column is being violently ripped from the flesh. Now the spine can be used for two things, both of them offensive, and both of them highly deadly. Firstly, it can be used as a piercing staff-like weapon, good for long-range combat, as well as close defensive. This is the Fourth Dance of the Kaguya.

Drawback: Since the user is still holding the weapon and the weapon is out of the body. The user takes the time to increase the strength and increase the deadliness within the weapon so that increases more of the deadly virus in which kicks in the body harming the user.
Description: The first branch of Tessenka no Mai is a tail-like attack that wraps around the opponent, binding them in place for a finish, bone spikes exploding all over the spinal cord where the victim is held to pierce through their body. One would think that some kind of protective armor could save them, however these spikes can in fact pierce through anything, making armor useless. This maneuver is most often collaborated with Tessenka no Mai: Hana, raising the efficiency of the Kaguya's attacks, normally overwhelming the opponent.

It is questionable whether this is indestructible or not, but assume that it is, so it will not be broken when used as a way to defend oneself. This maneuver is most often collaborated with Tessenka no Mai: Tsuru, raising the efficiency of the Kaguya's attacks, normally overwhelming the opponent. Description: The kaguya clan members not only have control for bones they can posses, but also its forms. The liquid calcium can be found through out the body and can solidify into bone in an instant (upon command).

Description: Rather then just launching the finger tips at an opponent, A kaguya can choose to fire an entire section of their digits. Sogekihei Hessendan is a much more refined version of the normal Hessenden technique. A kaguya launched the entire digit (starting from the "metacarpels") by contracting there muscles forcefully, similarly to Hessendan. Liquid calcium and bone wraps around the digits, changing their shape and making them more areo-dynamically efficient. With an addition of a spin and violent expulsion, these bullets travel much farther and are far deadlier. Unfortunately, a Kaguyas thumbs must be tucked inward toward there palms during the use of his technique, reducing the number to only eight bullets.

"Yoroi Kosshi" (Armor of bones)

Effect: Creates thin layer of bones under skin. (a few cm thick)

Drawback: Consumes 15 additional slots. Movement is somewhat hinder due to the massive amounts of bones created throughout the body (chunin ranked Kaguyas can overcome this later on). Bone strength directly affects the strength of the armor. In addition, the armor does not protect the skin, and even makes it somewhat easier to tear and rip. The abdominal region is still exposed to harm for a short period
Description: Combing both the bones in the body and the free floating calcium and bone through out the body, the kaguya is able to create a thin film of bones to be used as armor. This film of bone covers the entire muscular system and internal organs of the user from attack. The bones that create the armor are also porous, so that blood may still flow toward the skin.
Side note: Though it is easy to cover the area around the body in bone, it actually takes a longer period to create the bone in the abdominal region. It takes roughly the length of two posts to create a "cage system" to protect the organs in the stomach region. Then from the cage system, a film of bone can be created.

Description: A Kaguya can command the bones of there body to spring forth and impale enemies with relative ease. With much time, dedication, and concentration, the user can refine these protruding bones to spring forth in a different manner. Rather then just jutting outward to stab enemies, a kaguya commands the bones to spring forward and then curve inward. These row of bones instead, act like a “bear-trap”; swiftly clinging onto those who wary to close to the user. The rows of bones maybe commanded to quickly capture/impale human bodies, individual body parts or even weapons.
Limit: Kaguya Bloodline, Must Know four of the five Kaguya dances. Must know at least one A-ranked Kaguya Tech that. Must have 400tp in Kaguya techs all together.
"Kaguya Shippo" (Tail of the Kaguya)

Effect: Enlarges and restores the properties of the human tailbone. Skin and muscle also wraps around the newly created tail making it usable once again.

Drawback: Consumes 20 additional slots. Bones strength directly affects the tailbone created. Another appendage also mean another area to attack, meaning a person can garb, attack or destroy the tail just as any body apart. (More explained below)
Description: Using a combination of liquid calcium and bone, the user can create a working tail. Because of there bloodline regenerative properties, new muscular fibers and skin grows over the tail as it sprouts from the body, which will allow for full range of movement of the tail. The tail is lengths are affected by user own rank:
D Class = 5 foot long tail+ 2 feet thick at the base (decreasing in size as you move down the tail)
C Class = 6.5 foot long, tail + 3 foot thick base ....
B Class = 8 foot long tail 3.5 ft thick base....

A kaguya also must keep in mind that the tail also shifts the center of balance in the body, due to the length and size of the tail. Essentially, a kaguya must learn an alternative way of movement and actions when tail is created, which accommodates the tail.
The tail itself can give an additional attack during battle and form a defense for the back

"Shippo Kannonhou" (tail cannon)

Description: Utilizing the Kaguya bone tail, a Kaguya is able to launch the tip of the tailbone. The tailbone fired is roughly 4 inches long/ 1 inch thick and is expelled violently under the same principle of “Hessendan”. The tailbone spins and travel fast, but is far slower then Hessendan (Finger Bullets). What is lost in speed, is gained in raw power, as the tail cannon can deal far more damage then “Hessendan”, damaging thicker armors and defenses.

Description: It is quite simple for a Kaguya to quickly protrude sharp bones around there body to attack enemies in close range: creating near perfect defense. With much time, dedication and concentration, this defense can grow into a far deadlier offense as well. A kaguya easily commands the proximal portion of there bodily spikes (closer to the inside) to become somewhat thinner and diminutive at there ends (without jeopardizing bone strength). Shortly afterwards, they command a powerful muscle contraction to occur near and around the thinner area of bone. Upon there command, this contraction can violently expel the multitude of sharp bones that had protruded around there bodies. The sea of razor-sharp bones flies outward, covering a 360 degrees radius around the user. These bones can simply impale humans and pierce through stone with ease.

Description: Seigan no Kamae, Chudan no Kamae The Seigan and Chudan no Kamae are similar in every aspect when it comes to looking at the opponent, having their feet placed down upon the floor, as well as the amount of pressure they have between both of their legs. The user keeps their right or left foot forward having their toes pointing forwards. Their opposite foot is shaped in an "L" shaped keeping their legs in equal motion. Their feet are perpendicular from one another as face forward their feet and legs are in shoulder width apart. This is used as a basic formation to where the user can move from either defensive, or defensive movements. For the Seigan no Kamae stance has their hands relaxed, grasped against the handle of the blade in question. The sword is pointing in a forty five degree angle as their arms are relaxed, hands close towards his hips as one would wait and relax. For the Chudan no Kamae the user keeps the same foot work as that of Seigan but their hands is brought up towards chest level as the sword that they hold is slightly more gripped proof. The sword is pointed forward as the blade is pointed down towards the ground. These stances are mostly known for parrying and blocking, as well as making quick attacks upon the opponent.

Description: Tenchi Hasso no Kamae , Fudo no Kamae , The Tenchi Hasso and Fudo no Kamae are similar to that of closely towards that of Seigan and Chudan no Kamae to where the footing is quite similar. The user keeps their right or left foot forward having their toes pointing forwards. Their opposite foot is shaped in an "L" shaped keeping their legs in equal motion. Their feet are perpendicular from one another as face forward their feet and legs are in shoulder width apart. With the Tenchi Hasso no Kamae the user holds the sword more closely towards their sides. The body is slightly slanted a little more as the user holds the sword tightly. This is mostly used for a defensive form of the stance as the user keeps the sword pointing upwards. For Fudo no Kamae the user uses this stance in more of an offensive form. The user would face the opponent as their arms are raised up holding the hilt of the blade. The sword is slanted in a diagonal form but the user keeps this stance and holds it tightly. This stance is mostly used for attacks that deal with downward strikes, but as well as the type of movements for confusing the enemy with sliding attacks.

Description: Kasumigakure no Kamae , A stance that is completely different than that of all the others. The footing is different than any other stance, the posture is completely different as well. The user will start in the basic form where one leg would be further forward from the body of the user while the other leg would be along the back of the body. The user would turn sideways by keeping this same form, and slide the back leg further backwards. As the user does this the user takes the time to raise his arms up in a defensive manner as the blade of the sword is pointing upwards. The sword is slightly higher than that of the user's head as they hold one arm along the front end of the hilt, and the other hand holding the back end of the hilt.

Description: Muso no Kamae , Uranami no Kamae , Roppo Kuji no Kamae , Dato no Kamae , This stance is four in one. Each one is slightly different in some sort of way, but the legging position, the position where their balance will stay pure will always be the exact same. What is used within this stance is for mostly attack style forms. Each stance is different in its own way as each is same in every way as well. The feet for all four stances are the same. The user's left leg, or right leg will be forward and the knee would be bent in almost a ninety degree form. The back leg will be placed far back, about a foot or two past the shoulder along the upper body. For Muso no Kamae their hands are upwards holding their sword as the forward arm that is the same as the leg as it is holding the end of the sword. The user holds the front end of the sword with the other arm. The sword is then pointing towards the back of the body as the blade is pointing upwards. The sword is rested gently against the bicep of the back arm as the user holds the sword carefully. For Uranami the user keeps the sword along their chest area as it is pointing backwards of the body. The sword is pointing downwards slightly as the upper body is slanted forward. The Roppo Kuji holds the sword the same way as the sword is more slanted almost touching the ground. The sword is pointing backwards as well, and the user keeps the blade downwards. The final position is the Dato no Kamae is slightly more different than that of the others. What occurs is that the user holds the sword up high in the air with the back arm as the arm is held straight backwards away from the body. The forward arm is shot forward in a straight form, as the user keeps this position having their leg and upper body in a straight form in a diagonal form.

Effect: By fighting on and on, a user becomes more proficient when an attack may come by. This happens usually when the user becomes unable to see the attack. However by being in combat for so much they can feel when an attack is coming making them less able to be flanked.

Drawback: The user may only learn this technique by the class that they are. This means that in order to learn the "C" Rank version they must be "C" Class, if they wish to learn the "B" Rank version they must be "B" Class.
Description: A technique where the subconscious mind, where the subconscious body reacts just as they are attacked while flanked or while their back is turn. The body reacts in such a way to where they are capable of withstanding so much. This technique makes it where the User is incapable of being surprised attacked, a sudden second sense kicks in as their body screams out to them yelling at them telling them to move, duck, dodge or anything else within that manner. This works on whenever they are being attacked. This technique however has a major flaw. The user is capable of dodging only whenever the opponent's class is equal or lower to that of the rank of the technique they know. This means that a "D" Class user that knows this technique cannot use this against an opponent that is "C" Class or higher.

Description: A fairly underrated stance that was developed in Iwa sometime ago. Due to the crouched position the user must take to perform this, many ninjas and other interested people find it uncomfortable and unwieldy. This stance focuses on heavy movements based on focused momentum behind every blow. Users of this stance have found it helpful to wear shoes and gloves that slide easily on many surfaces, but still do not slide off of a target.

Description: This stance is supposed to mimic the user holding a cup. This puts the character’s hand in a good position for blocking and striking, keeping the hands and arms of the user ready for a wide variety of techniques, and makes the shoulders ready for explosive movements. The wrist is in a position where it can easily strike or block, and the fingers are curled in with the index finger hooked out, which helps in trapping an opponent's arms while blocking. The arms can be used for short or long range techniques, as well as the elbows, combined with various feints and strikes.

Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this Jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Example: User has 5 movements, user is able to perform Jutsu 2 times per round.

History“A boy as pale skinned as the moon and as small as a frog could never be the pride of the Kaguya clan” is what was said of Minamoto when he was born when the clan was in desperate need of leadership and was looking to many young Kaguya’s to become strong warriors and capable of restoring the clan to its former glory through war. Having no faith in the new generation, the clan left for war when Minamoto was only 6, taking the lives of his father, his older brother and many other dear family members. Having never known his mother, since she had died giving birth to him, Minamoto was ushered into a life of hiding, with his cousin Akiko and his Grandfather.
Akiko was only two years older than him, the proximity in age brought them closer together as friends, she was like a sister to him. His grandfather, though, was old a sickly and could only keep them hidden and safe for so long. When Minamoto was 12, the old Kaguya historian got very sick and ordered the kids to leave for the Wind country and to leave him behind, claiming he had a friend there who would meet them. After many tears and goodbyes, the old man told his grandson: “You were born the strength of your father and the kind heart of your mother, now I have given to you the Odachi I wielded in my youth along with all I know of the family’s history. Go become the greatest Shinobi and the greatest man that this world have ever seen! You are, my boy, the pride of the Kaguya clan!”.
After the last words Minamoto ever heard from his grandfather, he practically needed to be pried away from the hideout by Akiko, and the rest of the trip was spend dragging him along as well. Some days, she would carry him for hours at a time, since he was too stubborn to do a whole day’s worth of walking, not understanding the risk that this mission of theirs posed to their lives. One morning, the two of them woke up to the sound of an explosion, followed by the smoke from a smoke bomb clouding their vision. Minamoto felt everything from kicks to cuts but was more traumatized by Akiko’s screams. Having managed to crawl into a bush and hide, the boy was crying and shaking until the fumes knocked him unconscious.
When the boy woke up, his cousin was lying alone in the clearing nearby, in a pool of her own blood, not moving, not breathing, just staring into the sky. After hours of crying and grievance, Minamoto realized that he was on his own now, and that no one would carry him through any more of his life. That day, he vowed to not only learn how to protect those close to him, but how to protect all of the weak and the innocent who are submitted to endless slaughters. He decided to once again take the road to the Wind country, but knowing that he could not leave his cousin in this state or place, he decided to carry her body until he could give her a proper burial.
The wind country is a hostile place for a boy who grew up in the humidity of the water country. It wasn’t a day into his walk through the desert when Minamoto collapsed from dehydration and heat exhaustion. Luckily, he was found by a sand village Jonin who brought him into Sunagakure where he was granted refuge. After Akiko’s lonely funeral, Minamoto joined the Academy in hopes of living to rebuild his family honor, so that no Kaguya should ever have to be buried in silence again.
