Just a random thought; figured i'd throw it out there.
Since (myself included) alot of people get bored of a particular character or get inspiration for a new character mid-way through role-playing but don't have any more scraps, the common way for people to get a legitimate death involves pestering cbox for someone to fight and kill you. Perhaps no one else is bothered by that, but...i figured maybe their's a way to circumvent boredom/rp/and not 'cheat' the system.
Suicide Missions, S Rank missions which a person can take by themselves, or (if they want, if GM's are willing) have GM'd for them by staff, wherein, you basically fight against impossible odds and are killed, but are allowed to role-play it out yourself.
For instance; I want to make a new character, but my current character is out of scraps.
I make a thread (Suicide Mission [closed][private]), and role-play out an S Rank mission from hell. (This is not to say something thats one paragraph...i'm talking about a legitimate S ranked mission, maybe 30 posts/2 pages or some such, where its understood that I won't survive). Mods would then be able to come into the thread, look over it, and decide if the role-play was sufficient to constitute an approved death.
or
I request that a GM oversee my Suicide Mission, they make the thread, and proceed to go absolutely bonkers with enemies and situations until they have successfully killed me.
I dunno...seems alot better than asking someone to kill you and pretending to really fight, or asking someone S-A rank to fight your D rank in a situation where you'll 99% of the time be killed, which is essentially suicide anyway. At least this way there'd be some sense of earning your death.
Suicide Missions could count as Regular Missions, Events, or be cataloged separately, depending on what the mods think is best.
Just a thought.
Curious to know what others think.
