The night patrol includes moving between any empty shops, alleyways, night stores: to watch for thievery as well as moving about various sections of town to ensure that people are not entering in areas where they should not be. Suspicious activity during the night must be handled swiftly and accordingly to what has occurred. Objective:(May be repeated three times) Ensure safety of village during the night. Patrol as much of the village as possible. Return with status report. Personnel Requirements:1-2 Shinobi of any rank. May be performed in groups if one chooses so. Reward: 1,562 Ryo (1,250 for a Non-nin) It was night, the rains had subsided many hours prior before the sun had fully set. The moon was at its highest point, around the midnight hour. Okuda again only had his two swords – the Wakizashi and his Katana – Okuda was a bit on the tired side, as he’d been training and doing missions throughout the whole day without having rested at all yet. The air was a bit muggy still from the rainstorms earlier, making him a bit sweaty, though not from the heat. Okuda noticed that for the most part the smaller carts and such closed up and the larger stores were just now starting to get ready for closing. Some of the shopkeepers were sweeping up the front entrance to their stores; some were checking their registers for the day. Some of the shopkeepers were already starting to close lights off within their store and some were already locking the doors and leaving for the night. Okuda thought about what he’d do if he got hungry, but decided that he most likely wouldn’t be out here that late, and if he was still out here patrolling he’d look for a twenty-four hour convenience stores that were in the area and just get a quick snack in there. Okuda kept his eyes, ears and any other senses that he had open for any signs of criminal activity, such as what he’d stopped earlier when two thieves tried to steal some books for some reason, though beyond stopping them and making sure that the books got back safely he had no other care about what happened to them. ((NOTE: This thread is for myself and Marii only, she’s to be GMing the mission so it’s a bit more exciting and random for me, she’s been given permission by the Raikage Sky/Link, so please all others stay out of the thread))

A couple of ANBU's rounded the corner; one of them had an owl mask while the other had a cat mask. "Isn't the redhead the one who's patrolling this district tonight?" whispered the owl masked man. "Yeah. We better let him know" replied the woman with the cat mask. Both of them walked over to the male in a calm manner.

"Greetings. We heard you're the one patrolling the district; we would like you to do something" said the ANBU. "A shop lifter here that stole some goods for an 8-12 kiosk is in this block" informed the woman.
"He's about 16 years old, 5'7" tall, has brown hair and is wearing a red jacket with small downside gold triangles" said the man. "The reason why we cannot do it is because we have to transfer some prisoners...remember that you only need to knock him out before you call the police" told the woman.

"Have a good night" said the ANBU before both of them shunshined into some nearby shadows. There were not many people outside, but it was a relatively dark night since it was mid-October.
A person with a red jacket sat down on a bench 100 feet away. The face was hard to see since he had turned partially away to ignite a cigarette. Could this be the kiosk thief?

Okuda nodded as they described the boy to him – about sixteen years of age, five foot seven inches, tall with black hair and that he’d be wearing a red jacket with downwards pointing triangles on it. Okuda would continue to walk his patrol, keeping an eye out for the youth, as he walked he’d see more shopkeepers closing their stores up for the night. Okuda was hoping that the youth would be easily seen, probably still holding or even trying to sell the stuff he’d sold for a quick buck. Every so often Okuda would ask any of the shopkeepers if they’d seen the youth, describing the boy to the people he would meet. For the most part no one had seen him or they hadn’t seen him that day and didn’t know where he was or anything about him as most of them had only seen the male in passing. Okuda sighed slightly in frustration as he walked down the streets. The muggy air began to turn to an air that signaled it would rain, a certain clamminess about the air in the area, but Okuda hoped that he’d just been imagining it as it was pouring not but a few hours prior. Though after a few minutes it turned out that the rain would start again, slightly harder than a drizzle, and Okuda would walk under the shelter of hover-hanging roofs. Okuda was glad that these buildings had some extra roof tile that would allow those walking around to get under the roof for the dryness of the roof. Though he would continue to walk under the roofs, running from building to building across the intersections, continuing to keep an eye out for the young man.

"Aaaah! That was close" muttered a male at the other side of the street that almost dropped a bunch of cards. One of them felt down at the ground; it featured a daimyo from a popular video game.
The guy in question was rather young; probably in his mid-teens or so. He weared a red rain jacket with some golden triangles on it.

He then spotted a red-haired guy that stood on the other side of the street. 'That's a little creepy. He looks almost exactly like the guy from 'Wanderer Kenji' thought the black-haired male as he laid the cards in his backpacker.
The backpacker was bulging a little; it appeared to be quite full. Moments later, the teen pulled back the hood so his face was revealed.

[atrb=width,450px,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][bg=d43e49] By Naota Seeing the young man across the way, Okuda would have something click in his head, he quickly drew his Katana and shunshin’d up to the male, his blade held up and on the horizontal axis up to the boy’s neck and spoke softly to him “I know you stole those, turn yourself in or this could get very ugly, and I’d rather it not turn ugly. So hand the items you stole over and turn yourself over to me now.” Okuda looked at the boy with a hard look, that showed he was very serious about this. As he spoke, the storm picked up, it was now a full on lightning storm. The silence around the two would occasionally pierce the tension around the two as Okuda awaited to see what the boy would do in this situation, either he’d hand them over or he would be cut badly by Okuda’s Katana and would probably be hospitalized for a while, maybe a month at best as some ligaments might get cut during the little scuffle that could ensue. ((NOTE: there is no fight yet, just fluffing the last post a bit with what could happen if they fight.))

"I know you stole those, turn yourself in or this could get very ugly, and I’d rather it not turn ugly. So hand the items you stole over and turn yourself over to me now" said a silent voice.
The male was shit scared as he turned around to look at the shinobi. 'B-but he was at the other side for a moment ago! He must be one of the Kumogakure shinobis!' thought the teen.

"HERE! TAKE THE STUFF AND HAND THEM IN TO THE SHOP! IT'S THE ONE TWO BLOCKS AWAY AT THE CORNER!" screamed the male in fear.
He threw the backpacker on the ground before he ran for his dear life. There was nothing breakable in the backpacker; it contained various stuff.

The backpacker contained six cigarette packs, five packs of cards from a video game, two bottles of diet soda, four packets of instant noodles plus three bars of chocolate. Nobody would know what the guy was going to do with the items. Apart from eating some of them off course.
The 8-12 kiosk that the teen had robbed would close in two hours; Okuda had still time to patrol the rest of the district. But there was nothing out of the ordinary in the street.

Okuda felt that he’d learnt his lesson so he wouldn’t chase after him, he would then bring the bag back to the kiosk, and apologize on behalf of the stupid criminal. He would then finish up his patrol, the rain levels fluctuating for the remaining two hours of patrolling. After he felt that he’d been patrolling for the final two hours, Okuda went and picked up a snack from the 8-12 kiosk ate it and started back to the Raikage’s tower to turn the mission in and get paid for his work on this mission. As he thought nothing of any real interest had happened and again it felt like a waste of his talents, but considering his low rank, it was understandable that he couldn’t get any of the higher missions and that he’d need to prove his worth.
