He trudged through the sand, not bothering to wipe the sweat from his brow. It dripped down into his eyes. There was nothing to see. Traveling through the land of wind was always the same. He felt empty. He walked past a corpse melting under the sun. The smell of rot saturated the wet air. He could almost taste it. About time he left this country.

It was only a short trip to the coast, where the winds carried over the ocean somewhat moderated the climate. The port wasn't exactly bustling, but the fishermen did seem to have some energy. Jin wasn't quite sure where he wanted to go. He wandered for a while, listening to rumour where he could. Not many wanted to talk to a man armed with twin shields and two swords, but those who did spoke quickly. A rather loud man called him over to a compact boat that looked built for speed. He seemed to be recruiting mercenaries for the defence of of his home in the land of sea. Bijuu, for the first time in years.

Well, it could be interesting. Not many could handle those monsters. He climbed aboard the boat and sat as comfortably as he could. the waves rolled on for hours...
