Special: Must be of the Airontoku to use to its fullest
Drawback: May act as a conductor of electricity
Description: A searing katana is just like any ordinary katana however it is made completely of metal. Hilt, blade, guard, all are made purely of metal so that it conducts extreme heats. Constantly worn upon the Airontoku, the metal blade will absorb their body heat, and when used for combat, can burn and scald the enemy when contact is made with the blade.
Limit: Sold only in the clan village (Iron Citadel) to the Airontoku
Cost: 3000 Ryo- Kagutsuchi カグツチ
Ryūjin Jakka (流刃若火, Flowing Flame Blade)

Special: Requires the Fire Release to wield correctly. All learned abilities of the sword add to the user's Fire Release TP Count.
Drawback: It is a sharp blade, thus is capable of dealing potentially serious damage to the user if used incorrectly. Without the Fire Release Mastery, some techniques of the sword may potentially damage the user, as well.
Description: A slightly larger than average katana, the blade itself is made out of a platinum alloy. Because of platinum's density, it is more durable than the average steel katana, and even beyond that, has a much higher melting point than that of average steel or iron, making it an ideal metal for this blade. The hilt and guard are standard of that of the katana, insulated by an extremely heat resistant material cloth meant to protect the hand from any heat that could be running up the blade. Every technique of this sword beyond the basic trainings is considered Fire Release training.

Personality:
Yoh is typically a quiet and reserved individual. He is interested in promoting his own safety and the safety of others, a desires the freedom to experience peaceful living. He has a strong internal sense of duty, which lends him a serious air and the motivation to follow through on assigned tasks. He is organized and methodical in his approach. He has developed a confidence in his ability to succeed at any task he undertakes which often inspires others to trust and believe in him unconditionally.
He is loyal, faithful, and dependable. He places great importance on honor and integrity, but not to the extent where he would judge others by standards such as socio-economic class, race, religion, etc . Above all else, he will attempt to do the right thing for his own healthy well being and for the well being of his community and family. While he can sometimes take things too seriously, he also has an offbeat sense of humor, and can become the life of a party - especially at family or work-related gatherings.
Yoh believes in laws and traditions, and expects the same from others. He is not comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules. If he is able to see a good reason for stepping outside of the established mode of doing things, he may support that effort. However, he more often than not tends to believe that things should be done according to procedures and plans. He is not overly obsessed with structure, but greatly prefers it to the sometimes unavoidable chaos of the shinobi world.
Yoh is extremely dependable on following through with things which he has promised. For this reason, much more is often expected of him then would be considered normal for a genin of his age. Because he has such a strong sense of duty, he has an incredibly difficult time saying "no" when he is given more to do than he can reasonably handle. He can be unwittingly taken advantage of by 'friends' who would use this personality trait against him, and is especially accommodating towards women, who he has little experience talking to or dealing with. He maintains a very high base level of respect for everyone he meets, and is fond of the usage of honorifics, feeling that a simple polite greeting can often do far more good than one would expect.
Yoh has no problem working for long periods of time and puts tremendous amounts of energy into doing any task which he sees as important to fulfilling a goal. However, he will resist putting energy into things which don't make sense to him, or for which he can't see a practical application. He prefers to work alone, but works well in teams when the situation demands it. He likes to be accountable for his actions, and enjoys being in a position of authority, his driving aspiration being the position of Hokage, though he believes that his particular skill set may be of more use to one of the many ANBU divisions.
Yoh has a tremendous respect for facts. As such, he can have difficulty understanding a theory or idea which is different from his own perspective. However, if he is shown the importance or relevance of the idea to someone who he respects or cares about, the idea becomes a fact, which Yoh will internalize and support. Once he decides to support a cause or idea, he will stop at no lengths to ensure that he is doing his duty of giving support where support is needed.
He is not naturally in tune with his own feelings, or with the feelings of others. He has difficulty picking up on emotional needs immediately, as they are presented. Being a natural perfectionist, he can sometimes take other people's efforts for granted, like he takes his own efforts for granted. He is grateful, but can come across as stiff and uncaring to those who do not know him well.
He is somewhat uncomfortable expressing affection and emotion to others. However, his strong sense of duty and the ability to see what needs to be done in any situation usually allows him to overcome his natural reservations, and he can be quite supporting and caring individuals with the people that he has developed a bond with. As such, he develops bonds of friendship rather quickly, but deeper relationships, especially ones romantic in nature, are far more difficult for him.
- Closest Current Personal Relationship: Hime (NPC)
Age: Unknown (Appears in Late Teens)
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 123 lbs
Hime is a young woman that Yoh found naked, wandering the country side near the Land of Fang one moonlit night, as he was returning from a regular visit to the Iron Citadel. She tends to speak only in increments of two words at a time and has a limited vocabulary, though she is otherwise in perfect physical health, and even seems to have some combat skill. For unknown reasons, she accompanies Yoh everywhere that he goes, and appears to have some romantic feelings for him, becoming incredibly upset if he ever speaks to another female in her presence. She has a peculiar habit of disappearing on the night of the full moon, but as of yet, Yoh does not ask her about where she goes, and she offers no information. In her sleep, she often growls, and has certain behavior Yoh finds embarrassing. She urinates in public by lifting one leg up, she will only eat raw food, and then, only meat, and has a strongly developed sense of smell that sets her sniffing about every new person she meets.
Appearance:
Yoh is tall and solidly made. He has a muscular build of elongated limbs stretched taut and muscular over a heat reinforced frame. His face is serious and solemn. He views the world from a perspective of restrained wonderment and natural curiosity. He exudes the appreciative, scholarly, and respectful demeanor of a poet.
His face is narrowed and handsome. Long black hair reaching down longer than shoulder length is kept in a rigid ponytail and out of his face. His eyes are thin and reflect kindness constantly, even in the midst of battle. He has little facial hair, smooth skin, and a small nose and mouth ending in a pointed chin. His features are often obscured beneath the shadow of tinted reading glasses.
He dresses in the manner of the old samurai guard stationed around his home in the Iron Citadel of the Airontoku. A large blue kimono and black hakama with white tabi and straw sandals, expensively designed and simple in its rich refinement. The outfit is usually held together with red rope. This rope also holds the ancient Searing Katana of the head of the Kaidansou Clan at his side. He wears no jewelry, and has no tattoos, but carries the cursed mark seal of his people on his lower back, intertwined with a brand of the kanji for 'demon' directly above it.
- Hair Color: Black
- Hair Style: Long (Pony Tail)
- Skin Tone: Pale
- Eye Color: Black
- Build: Muscular
- Tattoos: None
- Scars: 'Oni' Brand (Lower Back)
- Cursed Marks/Seals: Crest of the Empath
Crest of the Empath
Rank: A
Type: Harmful
History: The seal itself was created by the very first Empath after the Clan Wars in fear of yet another uprising. After laboring with the 5 Honored Brethren, they managed to conjure a seal which was to be placed on all clan members and children to be born. Such a seal was to ensure complete and utter dominance of the male society, however rarely has it been used. (See the bloodline’s history for more information.)
Appearance: The seal itself is the insignia of the Empath. With three elaborate swirls around the outer ridges, decorated flames about it are a symbol of the clan’s natural attunement to fire. Each trisection is flowing and guiding into the next, a depiction of how one flame may fuel another, how one clan member must always support another, for without one, the entire flame dies. At the center is a tri-petal flower, representative of how even the most beautiful of things can be found to ensure among the most harsh of flames, obvious symbolism for his people.
Effect:- Stage Zero – The seal has no effects or abilities and is completely inactive.
- Stage One – Once the seal has been activated into Stage One, it will cause imminent death for the target.
Description: Upon forming the proper hand seals, known only by the Empath and Honored Brethren, the seal is triggered into Stage One. Upon activating, the seal which was placed on the target’s lower back, will quickly attack the host’s 8th chakra gate, halting all chakra usage and, shutting it completely within a matter of seconds, resulting in death. The formations to trigger the seal will only work upon the target intended. (No one else gets hurt.)
Placement Requirements: The seal is automatically placed on all members of the Airontoku upon birth. At the age of three days the child is taken away from their family so that the ritual may be performed. In doing so, the seal is placed upon their lower back, binding the child to the clan for life. - Stage Zero – The seal has no effects or abilities and is completely inactive.
PERSONAL HISTORY
He was born in the Iron Citadel. His parents were Konohagakure dignitaries on the Kage's personal advisory council and well respected within their xenophobic little circle of politicians and noblemen. They discussed laws and trading tariffs with the same seriousness and quiet passion that they taught their young son the ways of his Clan, the contradictorily proud and debased Airontoku of Fire Country.
Like many, he was taken at the age of five and marked with the Crest of the Empath, left to wander the cruel black roads leading to his parents permanent home in Hi No Kuni alone. Through the forest of death and more with nothing but a small wooden tachi nearly destroyed with the power of his kekkei genkai, he learned to defend himself from danger fighting off wild animals and thieves before eventually finding the massive village gates, half dead with injury and lack of food.
He was enrolled in the shinobi academy before he'd fully recovered, and proved himself to be one of the most capable ninja of his family, even through his injuries. By the age of seven, he was prepared to take his first official mission as a genin, deep into the conflicting territories surrounding the Land of Fang, when his mother was afflicted with a terrible sickness, one that no medic seemed able to cure, or even able to understand. She'd developed the Airontoku equivalent to a fever, with her body temperature plummeting below acceptable levels. No amount of comfort could be offered to her, as she slowly began to freeze to death in the unrelenting heat of Hi No Kuni.
He traveled to Fang, but took his time looking for medicines, bartering and fighting for strange herbs or pills compacted from a thousand different sacred herbs, but found nothing that would help her. Once he'd returned, it was to see the once proud rooftops of his home draped in the black cloths of a funeral service. This first true pain, the pain of loss, haunted him for some time, and he devoted himself quietly and resolutely to the pursuit of strength.
He trained alongside his grieving father with a renewed determination that earned him praise and some measure of notoriety within the confines of the citadel, while in the village, he was simply another genin. His mother became a subject he simply would not talk about, and he concentrated instead on clearly marking his career as a future part of the Konoha Military. Though he spent much time away from the village itself, when he did return, it was to a home that welcomed him as best they could, one that he developed a strong desire to protect. The village became a symbol to him, a form of healing. It became a scar.
Other scars soon followed.
Back to Fang. Back to the Land he largely blamed for making him unable to be at his mothers side when she had died. Only this time, he was in an underground prison that hid him from the light of day and tortured him with poisons as he was questioned relentlessly about the whereabouts of something he'd never even heard of. His captors called it 'Seiryuu', but from their hushed and mystic ramblings, he couldn't determine if it was a place, or a way of thinking, an artifact, or a god.
He was rescued by Konoha ANBU some time later, with a new companion. A strange girl he'd found bleeding and naked by the side of the road, a circle of would be attackers laid out around her. All had been killed viciously, their stomachs burst open, their throats slashed as if by some enormous animal. She seldom spoke, but followed him pleasantly and brought him food to keep him strong enough to continue the long journey over veldt and scrub and field and forest, leading eventually, to the Hidden Leaf.
What he found when he returned to his home both angered and disheartened him: the house where he'd grown up, the compound of neighboring houses collected to exhibit a stronghold of Airontoku within the Village Hidden In The Leaves, was gone. His father was nowhere to be seen. The compound itself seemed never to have existed, and none of the people he'd known for years had apparently ever been heard of by those remaining in the village. He was a stranger somehow. He would have wept had it not been for the strange girl he'd decided to call 'Hime' after a favorite childhood fable, who grabbed his face in her hands and pointed him to the only evidence that he'd not merely imagined the majority of his life...
...on a spot on the ground, just before what should have been the entrance to his mothers outdoor garden, was a symbol carved into the ground, a replica of the Crest of the Empath drawn in blood.
Above it, in wide block kanji, was the word "Seiryuu".
He is now searching for more than his father; for more than family or friends or the records of his past. He is searching for a mystery and a torturous memory. He is searching for a legend and a secret.
He searches with the strange girl, in a land made new by his tragedy.
