The soft rays of the sun peek in through the tree tops, forming little shafts of light that pierce the ground like thousands of pin points. The strong smell of moisture, bark and the scents from wild flowers linger heavily in the air. A low fog traces around the bases of the tree trunks and weave in through the pathway used only by the many wolves that reside in the area. Thousands of indentations litter the ground below, accompanied by broken twigs, tree branches, leaves and small bushes. The occasional clear piece of land is visible, but not often.
Soft chirping noises and the howl of a lone wolf fill the air and the rustling of hidden birds taking flight soon follow. This wolf was in pain, alone, hungry and abandoned by his pack. The faint thumping noises indicated that the wolf was nearby and the shadows darting through the forest had stopped, leaving only the sound of the howling wind in it's wake. The soft whimpering coming from the distance was painful to hear, and had created the feeling of wanting to seek out this poor creature and help it locate it's family once again. But not this time, other matters had come to my attention. Other matters like training.
The knowledge of teleporting to another area directly in front of you seemed intriguing at first, but when I found that if you did it more than three times, your body began to suffer pain to the point when you couldn't move without the jolting feeling in your muscles. I remembered tearing a few muscles and had sought the help of a medic in the city. The area around me echoes out my sigh and my ears pick up on the silence of the forest after it was released. The forest was listening to my frustration and was awaiting for another response.
But this time, I was not the one who responded. The lone wolf howled again, the sound sounding strangled, like a cry. Pain crept into my body, tore at my insides and my heart began to pound. The soft thudding sound causing me to forget the wolf's pain for a brief moment. Should I help the wolf find it's pack? My yes dart to my right to find a pale grey wolf wondering north from my current position. It had not seen my observation but from it's distance, could smell my scent. I knew this because I have a own pack of my own. And they smell my scent from over a mile away.
I decide to move toward it, slowly at first encase the canine decided to charge. My curvy body chose to remain close to the trees as the need of a quick escape might be of need. Copper eyes never leave the wolf's body. I study the rippling of the muscles as I near it, waiting for a quick motion that will tell me which direction it will take. The wolf is aware of my presence as it's movements have become slow, cautioned. I quickly dash toward the next tree, my arms wrapping around the trunk, my right cheek pressing firmly against it. A slight sniffing noise comes from my left and my body freezes. Could the wolf have company?
