Fierce Punch
Rank: "C"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: Various punches applicable, either a hook or an uppercut.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Fierce Punches may be performed one of several ways. First is a hook with the lead hand. Starting from the fight stance the user raises one fist sideways, so that the arm is nearly parallel to the ground. At the same time the user shifts the body weight to the leg of the active side of the body and slightly lean sideways with the upper part of the body. The user now carries out a lateral punch move, in the process of which the user turns the body and the hips in the direction of the punch and shift their weight in the same direction. Second is an Uppercut. Drop one of the lower arms and turn the fist so that the lower and the upper arm form a rough right angle. In the process the user shifts their weight to the active side and bend the knees somewhat. The other fist is kept above the jaw for protection against the opponent's techniques. Now the user abruptly hits from below, while stretching the legs, turning the body and the hips, and shifting their weight to the front. Ensure that the user hits the target with the knuckles and that the punch is not interrupted on the way up. This technique does 10 Armour Points of bludgeoning Damage per Class Level.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Goutetsu (Roaring Iron). Must know Strong Punch.

By this point, Oros was beginning to understand the importance of pivoting and torque in regard to the release of kinetic energy behind his blows. This time, it appeared the hook involved twisting his torso to the left, opening his body up, while releasing the hook punch during the motion. Like rolling onto one’s back from their side while sleeping, in a weird scenario where you were trying to punch the proverbial sheep jumping over the fence. Oros shook his head; he had been training for a long time, and it was starting to get to him. Still, the obvious truths were there. By twisting through the blow, it added extra force behind it to inflict more damage to the opponent. Oros understood that.
The master had to have his fun, though, jabbing the giant in the shoulder, ribs, and hip in quick succession, as if he was playing a chord on the piano. Oros obliged the obvious instruction by exploding from his held position, twisting his large frame around to allow his right fist to come crashing into the trunk. Oros thought he saw the entire tree shake, but it might have been a trick of the eyes. Once wasn’t enough, though, especially since it wasn’t fluid. Oros fell back into neutral position before repeating the motions. Right arm held laterally, weight shifted to his back leg, the slightest of leans to his right. Then, another explosion. He hooked his body first and his fist second, pushing his knuckles as far into the trunk as it would allow, pretending all the while it was just an oversized cane. Then, he fell back into neutral position.
“Now Uppercut.”
Oros could barely process the new instruction before the cane came flying into his peripherally. He flung his left arm up instinctively, barely getting his forearm in between the wood and his face to absorb the blow. The giant assumed in that moment that this variation required a front guard, just as the strike he learned earlier in the day. From nose to forearm, soon enough Oros would learn that defense was a great form of offense on its own.
He held his left arm high to protect from counters, waiting for further instruction.
