20/30
At the rate things were going, Misu was surely going to drain himself. The boy couldn’t remember the last time he pushed himself this hard. Before, he would have given it a go only a couple of times. Misu walked over to the edge of the pond and took a seat. For a split second the world was still. A glance at the night sky always made him feel inferior sort of speak. Deep down he knew every person was living out their own story, and like him, they’re curious on how it will read. For a moment he cleared his mind, and just allowed his body to recover.
It wasn’t long before he was back it. Misu stood up, but this time stayed on the solid ground. He felt standing on the water was cheating, and was now ready to advance. How could it be any different? The young genin took in a series of deep breaths. A surge of power rushed through his body as he moved his altered his chakra to flow out of his body and feed the water beside him. Letting out much energy would’ve worn most out, but Misu almost felt a sense of renewal. It felt like the first sip of water after waking up in the middle of night with your mouth as dry as a desert.
Misu kept up the steady breathing as he started the series of handseals. After going through them so many times, Misu could actually do them all in order without even paying any attention to what sign he made. Which to him he felt was odd since he could never remember how to get to the academy no matter how many times he’s been there. As he finished up the handsigns, beside him, in the lake his identical twin begain to be created. The technique had almost been instantly completed as a second Misu appeared before the world.
This time around the clone was an exact replica. Misu had to pause for a second, he couldn’t believe his eyes. They even had the same scare just below his lower lip. Which he shouldn’t had taken as a surprise since it was an exact clone of him. It even had the headband this time around! Misu smiled obviously pleased with his efforts. It took him a couple of tries, but he managed to successfully create one identical Misu! Now the real question came, how many could he actually make? Misu toyed with the idea of finding out more, or just calling it a night.
Not coming as a surprise the boy chose to continue; it could be useful someday. Better safe than sorry he would always hear the elderly room three doors down say to the kids. Misu usually chuckled at her advice, but at this moment it felt it was perfect to apply it the situation. This time he had his eyes closed as he took in the deep breaths. It was all about the chakra control,. Misu made a mental note to meditate at least an hour a day if the results felt this amazing so far.
As quick as he started, he finished the handsigns. Another burst of chakra fed into the lake, and he kept his fingers crossed. Sure enough two other clones popped up. No, they didn’t form as quickly as the first one, but he figured after a few times they would. Before attempting one more time, Misu inspected the clones of himself. The satisfying look on his face was all that was needed to show he liked what he saw. He wanted to pat himself on the back, but he knew that would look cocky viewed from the wrong person.
Always being the type to test the waters, Misu gathered his chakra again. He felt himself near tapping out, but refused to give in to soon. In what had to be a record time for him, the handseals were done. More and more clones began to pop up all exactly alike. Just looking at all his clones gave him a little headache. Quietly Misu stepped up to each of the five clones and inspected his work. A few of them were missing some scars, but he figured no one really paid that much attention to him to know the difference.
