If you asked someone the first thing that came to mind when they thought about Zeakash this would be it. Once Zeakash decides on something he does it, and quite frankly ignores all other options. This is his worst personality trait, as it hinders him from seeing all sides of a battle, or a plan. This trait is epically noticeable when he first meets someone one. For Zeakash, his first meeting with someone defines how he thinks of them forever, even if they change. For example, if he met a fellow ninja at a restaurant and the ninja pulled a few pranks on him, Zeakash wouldn't trust that ninja again except for in the most desperate situations.
In Zeakash's case this could also be defined as gullible. When Zeakash sees or is informed of someone in need, he is usually the first one to help. Giving the person in need whatever they need (within reason.) This includes all kinds of help, wither giving money, or stealing.
Zeakash is set on one goal, to master his own style of fighting, and adventure in the most missions he can possibly do. So as soon as he hears about a new mission, or starts training he puts 110% into it. Usually putting out all distractions, wither this be love, friendship, or family. As the Genkyo prides themselves on being able to protect konoha, Zeakash believes that he must work harder than anyone else to keep that pride alive.
No one can be serious all the time, this is especially true for Zeakash, when he isn't on a mission or training he takes almost nothing seriously. Eating, hanging out, if it's not on an official mission, and it's not a request from someone Zeakash will put it on his "to-do" list.
Zeakash, when it comes to food, it pretty hard to please. He'll eat all kinds of meat, but seafood and veggies are an oddity to him, and he usually just eats meat. In battle he is extremely picky on which kind of enemy he'll use his scythe against, and which kind he'll use ninjutsu/taijutsu against. For example, if there he's fighting an enemy who uses weapons, he'll use his. If his enemy is bare-handed he won't use his scythe. He might change his "rules" if he's fighting someone he's fought before, and which style he has more experience in.
When Zeakash thinks he has made a friend, and has truly bonded with them he'll go through great means to protect them. Whether this protection is from emotional pain or physical pain depends on the situation, but in either case Zeakash will be there. In his missions, while being completely serious on the mission being a success, he also has his priorities on making sure everyone gets home safe.
Zeakash's appearance differs from the norm, there aren't many ninja who go around carrying scythes on their backs. That's what usually sets Zeakash apart from from others in a crowd. He isn't the tallest person in the world, coming in at just under six feet. He his a pointed face, almost an inverted triangle, but a bit rounder at the chin. He has mocha colored skin with and his black hair has been braided in the twisted dreadlocks style, but doesn't cover his face yet. His eyes are a dark brown in color and with the way his eyelashes are shaped it looks like he's always tired.
Zeakash wears noticeably plain clothing, his clothes are either black or white, he doesn't often sport other colors. Most often he wears a white t-shirt and a black pair of large cargo pants.
Covering it all with a large black cloak.
The cloak covers his body from right under the neck all the way to the top of his white shoes. There is a large hood on it's back. The edges of the cloak are covered in small rips and tears as is the hoodie, giving it a rugged appearance. His leaf headband is worn on his upper left thigh, and is not visible while he wears his cloak. (This cloak described is the one used to hold items and such, this is an added description for Zeakash.)
Zeakash's scythe is an oddity as well. As it's a keepsake from his mother, his scythe isn't the newest thing on the market. It looks plain just like Zeakash. It stands at about 5'7" with a long wooden black pole, the blade itself is about three feet long and is a dull silver color. On close inspection of the scythe, many small cracks can be seen in the wood, and the blade's metal has lost it's sheen.
Zeakash wears the scythe along his back, with the blade behind his feet. The top of the pole ends on the left side of his head. The scythe is usually within the cloak, so it takes a bit of maneuvering in order to get it out without destroying the cloak.
A divided family, conflicting styles, dark and light. Why do they always fight?
Zeakash was born into the Genkyo clan in the hidden leaf village. His father was a avid practincer of Capoeria, while his mother was a weapon master, who's newest weapon was the scythe. His father believed that every fight should be done with honor, while his mother believed that everything goes in a fight, no matter how dirty the tactic. The parents clashed many times while Zeakash was young. At the age of three Zeakash parents decided to try and get him started on their different paths of fighting. His father tried to get his son to copy the Ginga, the most basic stance in Capoeira, while his mother had him carry around a small toy scythe.
When Zeakash hit age five his parents arguments differed from fighting over which style was right, into right style they would teach their young son. They spent months arguing, not giving Zeakash a chance to choose for himself. At five years old all Zeakash wanted was to go outside and play with his friends, but he was almost always training, or being forced to watch his parents train. He never made many friends due to his parents so he treasured the friendships he had made.
By the time he was nine, his parents differential ideas had been literally tearing the family, and Zeakash apart. He couldn't choose which style he wanted because either way he would insult one of his parents. So he was left doing double the workload in order to appease both of them. His mother gave him a small wooden scythe to spin around, while his father began teaching him the beginner kicks of Capoeria, and while this was going on at home, Zeakash was still learning how to use jutsu at the academy.
No child would be able to go through the rigors of learning three different styles of fighting back to back, every day, with no time to rest in between. One day, at the academy, while practicing releases Zeakash passed out and was sent to the hospital. This caused a uproar with his parents, who each blamed each other for what happened. This was the fuel for their eventual divorce. Being in the lower house of the Genkyo clan Zeakash and his family had to live their lives as ninja, if their son couldn't master a fighting style, he wouldn't be able to furfill his duties.
This split was very important to Zeakash's development. Other than being the cause of his parents divorce, it meant that his mother would be able to teach him more than his father, and he would learn the ways of the scythe. At least that's what his mother thought, Zeakash still went to see his father once a month, and his father taught him some skills as well. At age 12 Zeakash had mastered the basics of both of his parents styles. That was when he was notified that he was failing his ninjutsu at the academy and that he would have to do it again. His parents weren't against this, as it would give them more time to train their son.
Repeating a class wasn't the worst issue for Zeakash, in was this year where he made most of his friends, and really connected with his ninjutsu, sense he had mastered the basics of his mothers training, she had let him off of his schedule to learn ninjutsu. Zeakash would look at this year as the greatest year of his life. But after he graduated his classmates all went into four man cell groups. While Zeakash's father began to spend more and more time working on missions for the clan. Keeping himself away from Zeakash's mother.
From the time after he graduated he spent more and more time with his father in the clan. He worked with his father and created a name for himself in the clan. People noticed that he was one of the up and coming Genin of his generation. Being raised two masters they expected nothing less from him. This sudden change from no one talking to him, so suddenly being the product of attention created Zeakash's outgoing trend. By always being outgoing, he reasoned that he would never have to show his true thoughts.
Fast forward four years, at age 18 Zeakash finally finished learning all the jutsu he needed to know to be ready for battle in his eyes. He had repaired the relationship between his parents, even though they would never truly get back together. They did realize that for the clans sake they needed to work as a team again. Zeakash realized that it was time for him to "Leave the nest" and go out into the world. All of his friends had passed the Chunin exam and he hadn't even gotten a team yet. And he hadn't done the one thing he wanted. To have a adventure that he had heard about, one with friends and fighting and all the things that happen. It was time to make it happen. The clan expected great things from him, and he expected greater things for himself, there was nothing stopping him now.
