Limited Invisibility
Rank: "D" Rank
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: The creature or object touched becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from dark vision.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: Only works for a short period of time, and it only works when the user does not move or is not touched.
Description: A technique that has a distance of that of ten meters from the user or who the user touches. The center of the effect is mobile with the recipient. The creature or object included becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from dark vision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. Those affected by this Jutsu can see each other and themselves as if unaffected by the Jutsu. Any affected creature moving out of the area becomes visible, but creatures moving into the area after the Jutsu are cast do not become invisible. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon monsters and have them attack, cut the ropes holding a rope bridge while enemies are on the bridge, remotely trigger traps, open a portcullis to release attack dogs, and so forth. This technique only lasts a round for every class level the user is starting at their class level "D".

Another evening, another attempt at meddling in bandit affairs for the hell of it. For some reason, this group had a cave complex for a base. Not too different from the one she had been stuck in all those years, to be honest. Glancing out at the cave opening from behind the nearest tree, she noticed two guards standing there, watching. Lovely, she thought, getting through here without being detected is going to suck. There's not another way in, though, so here goes...
Walking straight up to the guards, she put on a perky attitude, and was predictably stopped at the entrance. "Hey, who goes there?"
Yurisha's tone of voice shifted, trying to imitate a 'valley girl' tone. "Like, I heard you guys were looking for floozies, and I was all 'I'm cool with that' and stuff, so, like, here I am." I feel dirty. So very, very dirty. That wasn't even good acting, that was a guess, nobody would ever say that, and there's no way--
One guard looked to the other with a goofy smirk on his face, then back to Yurisha. "Wellllll, I hadn't heard anything about that..." He took a few steps forward, looking her over. "...buuuuut I won't say no, if yer offerin' so nicely~"
"Like, awesome!" Wow. That actually worked. Her tone shifted a little shyer, but kept the valley girl accent. "Can we, like, go somewhere more private?" She glanced over her shoulder at the forest.
"Sure, sure!" The guard then turned to his buddy. "Hey, pal, cover for me, will ya? Looks like I'm gettin' lucky tonight." The other guard gave him the thumbs up. "Okay, man. You have fun."
Yurisha had run off well ahead of the guard, occasionally turning around to beckon him on. Once she had reached the forest again, she slipped behind a tree, started slowly making handseals, and waited for the proper timing. Right as she heard him approaching the other side of the tree, she shifted back to the valley girl voice. Little more provoking. "I'm undressing right now," No I'm not. "So, like, you can totally peep if you want to." That was bad, and I am so glad I'm not actually doing that.
The instant before the guard ran around the edge of the tree to get a look at this, Yurisha finished the handseals, and vanished from sight. Limited Invisibility. Won't last long, and it has its limits, but it should be good enough for him. The guard, predictably, was confused. "Where'd you go, babe?" As he turned around and around, trying to find her, Yurisha formed another set of handseals, conjuring a kunai from the shadows. The moment his back was completely turned to her, she shattered the illusion, as she shoved the quasi-real knife into his spine, right where his neck met his shoulders.
"Right here, honey." Her voice was her own this time. Taking advantage of the momentary pain spasm, she darted off behind the tree again, and began making the handseals once more. And again!
The guard recovered soon enough, realizing what happened. "You lying little bitch!" He charged in the direction the stab had come from, the direction she was in just a few seconds before... and completely failed to notice her as he ran by.
Once he was sufficiently far out of the way, Yurisha let out a sigh. One down, for now. Still gotta deal with that other guard somehow, and I have a feeling that if the first one comes back and catches me, he's going to make me keep to my word, and it won't even be consensual any more... yikes. Better be careful, then. Glancing over at the cave entrance, she saw the other guard blissfully unaware of what just transpired with his buddy.
Now, what trick shall I try on this one...
