I've noticed lately the lack of missions being done. I think it's because they offer not enough incentive. I know tp being given out has been shot down many times and no matter how many times pushed it will be shut down.
This is about higher up missions.
INCENTIVE VILLAGES
These villages have been given the option to allow their ninja to npc jounin to take them on higher missions so long as it's done with another member. Here is the big point.
Why not allow the All the Kage to make up the NPC Jounin themselves for their respective Villages. The rules for them can be as followed:
They can not teach village techniques
They can not leave the Village with you.
To be used the thread needs to have at least 2 other PC's in it.
The PC can not die unless allowed by the kage.
They can not be in a thread with a ninja from another village.
NPC must be gm'd (This can be shot down if too hard)
Once an NPC has 3 genin, they can not take anymore.
[/ul]
In allowing to do so it creates a nice flow of rp that can revitalize the site in more than one way. I don't expect this to be a big hit with Heero but I do want to here some standpoints from other members.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
What's the point of the NPC jounin? Allow genin to take A and S missions that they can't die on?
08/07/14 20:27 Usiel: "And now my flower is dead!" 08/07/14 20:25 Usiel: fucking with my shit 08/07/14 20:25 Usiel: Then, I find him in my house 08/07/14 20:25 Usiel: and I keep telling him to get off my fucking lawn 08/07/14 20:24 Usiel: He keeps going on my fucking lawn
I think this is a great idea. It sort of expands on the NPC chuunin that come along with incentives. The trouble with that is that only five villages are incentives at one time. This allows members to get the awesome rewards from B, A, and S rank missions without being in an incentives village.
Heero, I'm not trying to be a contrarian, but would you at least give us a real reason? I would understand if you told us that you don't want genin to go on high rank missions, but you're not giving us very much here.
This is just a way to try and do easy missions. After hearing what Naota said in the cbox he obviously feels that GMs is incompetent to actually GM well enough to do Jounin Missions. A and S Rank missions are supposed to be extremely difficult and get people killed. This is like some kind of loophole. Do A and S Rank missions with no chance of dieing because the Kages wont allow the ninjas to die. The whole point of the incentive is to push for Chunin. We also do understand that Chunin exams can be a little slow so we don't mind if they do Chunin Rank missions. Sorry I'm not liking this. I'm saying no.
Why not introduce a passive boost to mission payouts, for incentive villages at least. Maybe you get 10% more for each and every other PC that goes on and contributes to the mission? Perhaps you could mandate a random encounter in all missions above C rank?
“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”
Incentive villages get enough Corvus. I'm generall just trying to get the site moving a bit more. Though it was obvious that a huge roadblock stops me everytime.
So we are looking at incentive's toward RP/mission: Missions that involve more than one PC. Could have a random Item given to the group, like the ones that were done for the thanksgiving event. But only one item given for the whole group. And could increase rarity if there are more then two PC. Or not, but one random item for the group, for completion of a RP/mission sounds nice. Would circulate some of the items out there too.
