Personality:
Raised by his parents to abhor violence, Nori has taken on their pacifistic natures and integrated them into his behavior. Taking it a bit further to chivalry, from watching how his father interacts with his mother, Nori has integrated that a bit into his personality. Whenever he is with his mother, he tries to regurgitate his father's actions like opening doors for her or pulling out chairs for her. Also doing this with other females he meets, his mother has been proud of him for caring about others and not fighting.
Another trait he was taught by just watching others is to stand up for the truth and always do the right thing. Sometimes, the right thing isn't always the popular thing, but it is the one that is morally right. Too many times has he seen the darker side of people come out. Seems like most people are selfish except for a few he's met from his leisurely time. Standing up for a person's own beliefs and the truth is also a given, yet most people don't. Bribery happens all the time but Nori's parents remain unchanged, letting truth do the talking instead of money or favors.
Probably the most gracious trait Nori has is generosity. Sometimes his parents say he's TOO generous, but Nori doesn't believe so in his mind. Helping out someone in need, giving someone a nice meal or money, or just doing a simple good deed for someone is what Nori usually does. However, sometimes he can be stubborn about doing generous things but its all in good faith. With a smile he properly does things that are asked of him, always seeing it to the end.
Appearance:
Nori(Switch goggles with headband)
Standing at about five foot six inches, Nori is average in height for his age and possibly average for his weight. Nothing about him really stands out unless you count his appearance. He doesn't really have much except what his parents can afford. Loose fitting clothing adorns his body as he smiles each day thanking his parents for what they gave him.
The first noticeable thing on Nori that stands out most is the drill necklace he wears. Its a momento from his grandfather before he passed away. His grandfather handcrafted it for his grandson a few months before his death. The last remaining physical presence of his grandfather, he holds it close to his heart. Another noticeable thing is that he wears his headband around his head in an odd fashion for a male, but its how he placed his goggles before he became a ninja.
Onto his clothes. Not wearing a shirt, he wears a loose blue jacket that flutters in the wind with a red knot tied on the bicep portion of the jacket on each side. Normally though if he's on a mission, the knots are untied so they won't get caught on anything. Around the stomach area he has it bandaged to hide his scar, just a sword slice scar he got from not being careful enough during training. He wears brown shorts to give his legs added flexibility(in his mind) around the battlefield if he is ever attacked. Wearing geta on his feet, he has grown accustomed to them and wears them everywhere now.
Background:
Born on a rainy day, my parents believed the heavens to be crying for the birth of their baby. With a smile on their faces, they held their baby close until the doctors took me away. With a smile though, they couldn't want since the heavens cried for their baby Nori. I didn't know at that moment, but my parents were making me destined for great things.
At three, my parents began to groom me into a pacifist. Unconsciously at the same time, they trained me to be a gentleman as well. Teaching me that all life is sacred, from an early age they made me feel comfortable around all life. Starting with the easiest of all the life forms, I interacted with humans around my age in the play pen. Growing close to them, I created bonds that I would forget around the age of six.
Moving onto bugs, I was scared until I was about five. However, they slowly grew on me. After one gets past the scaly and scary looking exterior, bugs are just like humans. They have feelings just like humans, just that bugs are sometimes frailer than the human body. After that, they moved onto local wildlife which I got rather quickly, only taking a year to grow accustomed to all the local life.
Starting the ninja academy at six, I was doing well for the time I was in. However, about seven months after I started on my seventh birthday, I fell into a deep coma. Walking through town before the start of my party, I was in a construction zone when a beam fell down from a good ten feet above me knocking me in the back of my head. I laid there unresponsive to the attempts to awaken me by the workers. Not knowing what to do, they took me to the hospital which in turn notified my parents. They rushed to see me in a coma, the doctors not sure how long it would last.
Five years later, I slowly started to wake up. It started out with only a minute of alertness before turning into an hour a few days later. After the month after awakening, I was released. I was now twelve but still had my memories. My parents also tested me to see how much I remembered before allowing me back to the academy. So much had changed and I felt like a fish out of the water. However, I'd take my spot and graduate a year and a half later. Then, I'd begin my training in the local Krav Maga dojo in Takigakure. I had to make up for lost time.
