Forever seeking to better herself, Rini traveled into the temple that the daughter of the Kenjutsu master himself, resided in. As she pushed open the doors the woman stood with her back to her, dust fell in a steady, unbroken stream as no words were exchanged, despite the fact Rini had received the seal that allowed her restored hearing, she had never used it.
The woman turned suddenly and Rini dropped to one knee, he head bowed in respect to such a master. But there were no vocal vibrations that Rini could feel coming from her, only the subtle vibration of the woman stepping towards her, a flurry of lightning fast steps that would have went completely unnoticed had it not been for her heightened sense of touch. It was as she looked up that she finally realized this was an attack not a greeting.
Immediately her muscles in her arms coiled, her hand hovering over the handle of the blade slightly as she held the sheathe in a loose manner and watched the footwork of the woman. As she was charging she telegraphed no attacks, her eyes locked upon Rini's as she rushed onward, her hand on the handle of her katana. Her hand flashed forward, a cold swipe of steel aimed for Rini's eyes and time seemed to slow down as her body pumped copious amounts of adrenaline into her system.
The blade slid free of its prison, a swipe that flew true to its angle. Rini unsheathed her blade, a vertical swing to counteract the diagonal on coming towards her. Battle hardened already she was prepared to die at all times, putting her faith in the muscle memory of her sword arm and correcting any slight misjudgment in her deflection and she awaited the moment their blades collided. The harsh vibration wrenched her arm about violently as the blade touched, her blade bouncing off the other harmlessly and sending it back the direction it had come.
Unrelenting, the woman recovered swiftly, preparing a multiple slice all aimed at the neck and head area of Rini. As she had sheathed her blade she saw the incoming attack and rolled left, her blade flying out of its sheathe to deflect the remained three swipes the woman had taken at her. Her blade passed through, what turned out to be, an after image of the woman's blade, opening Rini to a moment of punishment...but it never came.
Backing away, the Kenjutsu daughter readied herself for another engagement and offered only a nod towards Rini. Gulping down her anxiety, she did the same.
