Lavender has been known to have high standards, and she won't be shy about it. When something doesn't live up to her expectations, she'll let that certain someone know just what went wrong. In her view, if people aren't told, how can they be expected to improve upon themselves, and finally be able to live up to their responsibilities?
The worst thing Lavender knows, is when people start making up excuses for not having met the expectations. People can save their excuses for someone who cares. At the end of they day, what needs to be done needs to be done. Wasting more time listening to excuses would be an excuse in itself. People who waste her time, quickly end up in her black book. - You don't want to be in Lavender's black book.
While having high standards could be demotivating for some, Lavender is constantly walking around being optimistic about things. The high standards have come as an offset for believing that others can live up to them. Whenever anything happens, you can expect Lavender to have a few good remarks that can keep the morale high, and people moving forward. Even in simple matters such as finally taking the dishes.
The world is a good place, even with all the ninjas, blood and fighting. It is up to each and everyone on their own to find as many happy hours in the day as possible. Lavender makes sure to find hers.
Lavender is not bound by her emotions towards anyone or anything. Capable of locking that side away completely, she's more than reliable when shit hits the fan. This also means that it takes some effort to get under her skin. When someone does manage though, Lavender also has a brewing rage to throw into their direction.
In stressed situations and moments where others would break from pressure, Lavender can keep calm and choose reasonably well without having her judgement clouded. Being quite reasonable, Lavender also knows the limit of her current capabilities. In a sense, she's arrogant towards people who she knows she's better than. While she shows more respect for people who have a higher social or military standing than herself, she doesn't believe she'll have to follow the mainstream or old traditions that should have no hold in the new world.
People will always have problems, thats just a way of life. Lavender just prefers dealing with her own problems herself, and wishes that other people would follow her example. Listening to people yampering about things that they either have not attempted to change, or have no chance to change, is another huge waste of time. Crying over being unable to fly won't suddenly make you sprout wings, afterall.
Lavender does not feel the need to know what others are thinking about her, nor is she one to actually care. People can say, think and feel whatever they please. Thats not going to stop Lavender from acting, behaving and being just like she wants to be.
While it is hard to get underneath her skin to spark emotions, Lavender is incredibly easy to irritate. Walking strangely on the side walk and not allowing her to pass. Old people standing around trying to count their money when paying for wares in a line. Being unable to find the remote-control and having to adjust settings on whichever devise manually. Lavender hates it and quickly turns from an optimist into an annoyed monster. While she won't actually go around complaining, unless someone is literally irritating her on purpose, she is one to act differently when annoyed.
Due to being irritable, Lavender also has quite the advanced vocabulary of swears. It is not rare for her to call someone something inappropriate.
Shit is bound to happen, and it doesn't neccesarily have to happen for a reason. While Lavender does believe there may be more between heaven and earth than her Byakugan can see, she's not one to dwell upon things that cannot be defined with reason. Occults, religions, convertions and all that kind of crap doesn't interest her one bit. While people are allowed to believe what they want, they'll definitively recieve some smack-talk the second they attempt to shove it down her throat.
Not embarking onto things that may be too dangerous, and not sowing doubt in others, everything with Lavender is more or less straight forward. If you've wronged her, you'll get to know immediately. She's not one to scheme and backstab.
Lavender knows where she has herself, and knows where she has her things. While stuff may annoy her and cause frustration, she's not one to suddenly lose track of herself. Many decisions are made in the heat of the moment but she's not one to make decisions that she cannot stand by. Anything said or done by Lavender is said and done with her heart, mind and soul. As such, she is very steadfast about her decisions and won't back down from them easily.
Since Lavender makes decisions and sticks to them, you'll also find her incredibly loyal. It takes a lot to lose her trust once you've earned it, and it takes incredible circumstances for her to abandon, decieve or backstab someone she likes, to the point where it might be considered an impossibility.
Order, organised bookshelves and being able to see every single spot on the floor is for people who have too much time on their hands, or are plain boring. Lavender will drop her clothes next to the bed on a chair if she feels like it. She'll leave books laying on the table after she's done reading if she feels like it. She'll leave dishes in the sink for multiple days in a row if she feels like it. The world isn't going to end because something isn't done immediately. Its not that Lavender can be considered lazy, its just that there's so many things she would actually like to do.
This has almost come to the point where too much order feels demotivating for her.
Appearance:
Lavender has the brightest white eyes one could imagine. They're milky and seemingly without texture when you look into them from a distance. When closer, they do appear to have a slight bit more texture than your average Hyuuga.
Always plucked into an almost single file, it is easy to spot whenever she does a gesture with them. Quick to raise a brow whenever something doesn't quite go as she intended.
Lavender has long brown hair that reaches halfway down her back. In the front, she always has it cut in an almost straight line, that reaches down just far enough to hide her eyebrows. Her hair is well kept and she takes great pride in it. Rarely ever will Lavender be setting it up. Instead, she'll be adding things to her hair. Feathers, flowers, braids. Anything that can make it look natural, yet different.
One of the things she likes most, is having a string of blue pearls tied into one of the braids. It gives off slight clicking sounds as she turns her had, and she loves the feel to them aswell. In addition to a lavender flower, she's more than happy to let people know her name.
Lavender is built rather slim, but with curves like no tomorrow. To her it is a nuisance, to the males it is a pleasure to behold. Spanning not too wide over her shoulders, she'd also have quite a hard time wielding larger weapons. Quite flexible and often abusing this, her back has quite the outlines of muscles, while her front is more neutral. Often wearing tight fitting clothes over her torso, she's not afraid to let others know that she's proud of her curves.
Lavender lives by the saying that black will forever be the best color, at least when it comes to clothing. Liking anything that is warm and comfortable, Lavender also keeps in mind what would look good on her. Tight shirts, sleeveless with slight cutting. Dressing up in a way that will have the men look slightly in her direction as she pass by. Often times preferring to look good rather than to have a comfortable way around, she'll never be ideally dressed for anything practical. If you need to go to a party however, Lavender is your go-to person for fashion advice.
For footwear, you'll never see Lavender in something that does not have elevated heels. Liking to get just that tiny bit of extra height underneath her, even her combat-wear has a slight bit of an elevated heel.
On Lavenders right shoulder she has a tatoo of a blue rose with several thorns. This is the only marking she has on her body, that would allow anyone to identify her. On the back of her clothes, she also often carries the mark of the Hyuuga in white, upon the black fabric, proudly showing her heritage. Not one to flaunt or constantly wear her forehead protector, she's not too good with abiding rules that she finds to be pointless. If one was to come upon her outside of the village, identifying her as a Otogakure shinobi would be almost impossible. Not only that, with her sense of fashion, she doesn't seem much like a shinobi at all.

Twenty years and two months ago..
The very first moments of life had already a slight juggle of dices. When one is born into the Hyuuga family, one is born with a fate. A fate that will naturally come to determine the path of which every young one sets upon. The day had high sunshine, and not a single cloud could be spotted upon the blue atmosphere. It was a special day, and most of the immediate family was gathered. In an almost ritualistic sense, even before she was born, there were constantly people around her, watching out for her. Lavender had been one of the lucky few to escape the grasp of the branch-family, and she was born into fortitude. Opening her milky-white eyes for the first time, she was greeted into a world of the utmost care and protection from the very first moments of her life. Being one of the few babies not to cry at birth, her personality was set in stone almost from day one. A personality, that would never come to change. Being of pure blood and in heir, she was considered an invalueable jewel that needed the most possible care, every single hour of the day, and she grew up being used to constantly having people around her. Even so, most of these people weren't directly from her family.
There were more things regarding the birth of this young kunoichi that was causing interest. While the branch family had experienced offspring in other countries, it was beyond rare that a pure-blooded Hyuuga was born outside of Konohagakure. While having travelled outside of Konoha, Eleanor - Lavender's mother - had gotten herself into trouble with a band of bounty-hunters. In the nick of time, Otogakure shinobi came to her assistance and intervened before a tragic end.
Bringing the wounded woman with them to Otogakure, they made sure to take good care of her. Unable to travel home, and shrouded in a slight mist of secrecy, Otogakure became the place where Eleanor would give birth. When Lavender was born, she was immediately a unique snowflake within the village. Under protection, and treasured highly. Being taught almost exclusively by her mother, Lavender and Eleanor gained a tight bond that would never break.
Sixteen years ago.
For the main house, the trials begin early on in life, and remain forever pressing. At the age of four, Lavender was already training hard with tutors and assistants in reaching a high potential early on. Learning at a rapid pace, the young kunoichi was a promising aspect to the Hyuuga family, and an aspect that Eleanor felt they could be proud of in the future. While returning to Konohagakure had been a priority for Eleanor, it never came to pass, as she was constanty disallowed from doing so. Lavender never noticed a thing, and only knew of the Hyuuga's honor, traditions and rituals through what she had been taught and told by Eleanor. However, even at this young age, an event had sewn a seed into her that would continue to grow until it became an unhealable scar.
While playing around with her friends, one of the other kids had killed a cat with his bare hands. A murder most macabre. Screaming that killing was what shinobi were trained to do, he left forever a gloomy feeling within Lavender. A feeling that while she'd be capable of making a damn fine Shinobi, she wasn't ready to accept the responsibility of that choice yet. However, still too young and too inexperienced, Lavender continued to believe in what she was told by Eleanor, and worked hard to become the top of her class at the Otogakure Academy. Inheriting the Byakugan at an extremely young age, there was still no reasons for others to be worried about her fate. Everything was pointing towards Lavender turning out as an excellent kunoichi.
Twelve years ago.
Standing at the absolute peak in her class, things had really started to shake up for Lavender. Others who wished to climb the ladder was constantly testing their strenght against hers. The pressure to maintain her position in a feeble attempt to honor her family and her parents was rapidly increasing. The more time passed, the more she felt like things were going in the wrong direction. Bearing the pressure upon her shoulders, it was clear to everyone that it was tearing away at her strenght. Yet, noone intervened, and Lavender was allowed to continue walking a path that was going to break her eventually. Passing the academy exams narrowly being the head of the class, Lavender was assigned to a team.
Assigned to a team which had an Uchiha.
As little sense as it made at the time, her parents had sat down and had a long talk with her of why she shouldn't be too trusting of this Uchiha kid. That the whole clan was nothing more than trouble, and that he'd only end up standing in her way. Therefore, when Lavender met with her team and sensei, she was distant and cold. Prejudice was hanging in the air, thick enough that the boy could've likely smelled it. Yet he wasn't affected. Merely exclaiming that he'd be one to make about a change in this ninja world, Lavender couldn't help but feel a connection to this boy. The things her family had taught her just.. didn't feel right. Change had started, and change was coming to Lavender's life. The few branch-family members of Otogakure had banded together with Eleanor and Lavender. While they weren't at the numbers where they could be considered a family, at least Lavender didn't miss out on any of her heritages teachings.
Eleven years ago.
Team two-twelve. That was their name, and they had been together for little more than a year now. Having gotten to know each other, and expand upon their abilities, they had become a well-molded team of Genin. Despite Lavender's family's best attempt at causing disputes between Lavender and Joshua, the Uchiha, they had remained unaffected and had even engaged in a friendship. On missions they counted on each other, watched each others backs, and worked together to solve the issues that occured. Joshua was strong, and so was Lavender. It would seem the world wasn't quite as black and white as people had been attempting to paint it for her.
In preparations to the upcoming Chuunin exams, team twelve was sent off to do various different missions. Everything from watching cats to herding cattle. It wasn't too exciting. At least not until they were granted their very first C-rank mission. Thieves had stolen an ancient monument from a museum, and Shinobi were requested to hunt these criminals down and safely retrieve the monument. Heading out filled with confidence that this mission would be an easy success, the team headed into dangers that they could not have expected in any way, shape or form.
Lying in wait, the real objective of these thieves had been the assassination of Otogakure shinobi. To send a message across the country; This place wasn't run exclusively by shinobi. To send the message that even simple missions could turn out to be prepared death-traps. As the team made it through an opening in a forest land, crossbow bolts rained upon them from every which direction. Their sensei was immediately killed, as he had been the focus of their fire. The three genin were all critically hit, and Rin - the third Genin on the team - had also been killed immediately.
Joshua had protected Lavender with his body. Attempting to alter the course of the bolts, none of them had wounded Lavender in vital spots. The same couldn't be said for Joshua. Whispering for Lavender to play dead, Joshua prepared an exploding tag. Intending to make it seem as if he was merely attempting to bring the enemy with him to his grave, he also bought Lavender a chance to escape. With tears in the milk-white eyes, she escaped the scene as the explosion went off. There were no pursuers; They were too busy with their own wounded. Lavender had lost her entire team, and only barely made it home to Otogakure alive.
Ten years ago.
Recovery at the hospital had taken far longer than one would have expected. A single bolt had made it into one of Lavenders organs, meaning that she'd need critical treatment to be able to ever function normally again. After a few months just lying there, she was finally allowed to return to her life and her world. Though, with all that time forced to lay around and think, Lavender had made a decision. Explaining to the family that the wounds and trauma meant she wasn't ready to return to being a shinobi, it was a hard pill to swallow. Yet, being met with more understanding of the situation than belittleing comments or shouts of shame, Lavender was allowed time to pursue her own wishes.
Taking a leave as a kunoichi, Lavender wished to travel. Experience the world with her own eyes, before making a decision on wheter or not she would follow the path her family wished for her. What Lavender didn't know, was that her travels would stretch themselves for years on end, and that she'd meet many interesting people and have invalueable experiences.
Two years ago.[/i]
Travelling through the land of Fire, Lavender had settled herself in the wilds for the night. While her skills as a kunoichi wasn't anything to make a fuss about, her eyes and keen senses allowed her to stay away from most dangers that would encroach upon a lone traveller. Having been at the water-side near Land of Rivers, Lavender had finallyy decided that the time had come to return home. Having seen and experienced so much, there was hardly anything left to see. Having learned that being a shinobi was about protecting these sights and ensuring the safety of people, Lavender had finally come to terms with the death of her entire team.
...On that very night, Lavender got caught up by something she had not expected. A gang of bandits, five of them. Having recogniced her eyes as belonging to the clan that had kicked their butts earlier, they now intended on taking her eyes and mailing them to the Hyuuga family with regards for the ass kicking. Defending herself to the best of her ability, eventually she took a hit to the side of her face with the blunt side of a hand-axe. Laying half-immobile on the earth, vision blurry, she knew that she was mere moments away from dying. Time ticked so slowly, the handaxe was risen...
The man collapsed to his side, having been killed off seemingly effortlessly. While she could only see a silhouette, the eyes of the shadow she would never forget. The sharingan was in the eyesockets of whoever had been a hero on that dark night. Having defeated the gang and assisted Lavender in getting to safety, his voice was still clear in the back of her mind. The memory was faint, but it was a memory she kept onto as if her life depended on it. One day she wished to thank this stranger. One day..
The next morning he had completely disappeared, and Lavender was left to travel the remaining roads towards her home at Otogakure.
Now..
Having returned to Otogakure and taken up the way of the shinobi once more, Lavender is intent on becoming stronger. Next time, she'd be strong enough to protect her team from harms way. Next time, she'd be strong enough to not need someone to sacrifice their life to save hers. Next time, she would be the one to help a stranger out in a pinch. That was her promise. The milk-white eyes might aswell have been steel, for she was now more determined than ever.

Hands and legs.
Outfitted with long and somewhat thin fingers, her hands are great for holding onto things, or making precise movements. Built for precision, rather than brute force, Lavender is a near embodyment for the 'gentle fist.' The kunoichi's body is exceptional for using pin-point movements and attacks; Her fingernails are cut in a sharp triangular fashion, allowing the tip of her fingers to have more piercing power, or allow her to claw someone who's been misbehaving. The skin on her hands tells the true tale though. Never have Lavender been working hard for anything, and thus her skin is soft as silk, untouched.
Having quite long legs, these are the devices that grant her a few extra inches of height. The way she carries herself is also with confidence, reassurance and satisfaction. Noone is in doubt, that there's no other person on the planet that Lavender would rather be in the shoes of than herself.
