The Cross/The Straight
Rank: "D"
Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A powerful, straight punch thrown with the rear hand.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Picture Determine which hand is your strong hand. Although you can throw a straight hand punch with either your left or right hand, it will be most effective if you use your strongest hand. Most right-handed fighters have a stronger right hand, while left-handed fighters have stronger left hands. Get into a basic boxing stance. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart with your knees slightly bent. If you are right-handed, your left shoulder should be pointed toward the other fighter and your right shoulder should be back. The opposite is true if you are left-handed. Keep both hands up. They should hover just under the chin, with your forearms in front of your body. This will protect you from the opponent's punches. Begin the straight hand punch from the foot. Push off your back foot and pivot toward your opponent, twisting your foot, leg, torso and shoulders. Concentrate on bringing power up from your leg, hips, trunk and shoulders and channeling it into your fist as you twist your body. If you don't pivot your body, your punch will be much weaker than if you use the correct form. Aim for the other fighter's face. Punch out in a straight line and extend the arm out all the way. At the point of impact, your feet and body should be facing the other fighter. Snap your hand back to your chin as you twist your body back to the beginning position. Remember to keep your left hand up throughout the punch so you have a guard up to protect you from a counterpunch.
Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing), Must know Upright Stance or Semi-Crouch

One wall looked like a wall made up of mirrors. Kohaku didn't pay much attention to it, in fact he averted his eyes just to really keep from looking at it, his hands shoving into his pants' pockets in the process. Haruaki grinned at the mirror before turning his attention to the numerous people that seemed to be training in here. It was odd, outside making the place look near abandoned yet the inside appearing to be so lively.
They cut through some hallways until they were in an empty room, it smelled heavily of the people that had already been through. And leather. Though, leather didn't seem to make an appearance. ...uhh.
"Told you, fuckass."
"Guess you motherfuckin' did."
"This way you don't have to hit me all too much. Hit the punching bag for a while why don't ya?" Kohaku barked as he stumbled back, taking his seat on a bench lazily.
"Kay, brother," Haruaki complied as he turned to the closest punching bag. He frowned, looking down at either of his hands. He'd never really cared for either hand when it came to dominance, but he figured he most often used his right hand when it came to writing. He cracked his knuckles a little weakly and took his starting stance before crouching down ever so slightly with the weight of his bent knees.
After so he would shift a little, bring his feet apart until either was a few inches apart, directly under each shoulder. He stayed like this momentarily as he twisted his upper body as he kept his feet planted still, pointing his left shoulder towards the punching bag and the other in the opposite direction. He lifted his arms up steadily, keeping them a few inches under his chin, his fists extended a bit from his chest.
Using his back foot to push off of, Haruaki's torso would pivot as cleanly as the rest of some of his extremities; turning to the punching bag entirely until he was facing it completely. All the while his right fist would sail through the musky air as he stiffened his arm, nearly locking his elbow so it would prove to be a bit more powerful as his other hand stay almost perfectly in place. With a thud, Haruaki's knuckles would collide with the punching bag. It gave a weak sway as he twisted back to his normal boxing stance, his left shoulder facing the bag again.
"That was funny," Kohaku snorted. Haruaki grinned over his shoulder at him before replacing a bit, twisting his hand so his wrist would crack.
He spread his feet until they were shoulder length apart once more, all the while lifting his arms a little more so they could be used to block anything oncoming. He watched the swaying punching bag before him as he bent his knees, biting his lip as he concentrated a bit more. Using his further-back foot to again push off of, Haruaki used the momentum of the entirety of moving limbs to base the strength behind his punch on. Focusing a little more on how his body moved, he threw another punch with his right hand. His body twirled a little so his front was once more facing the opposing weight, his fist coming in tact with the rough material. The bag trembled awkwardly, moving a bit more violently before but all together expressing a lot of resistance. He frowned as he reclaimed his starting position.
As the punching bag resettled, Haruaki grumbled soft nothings as he firmly stepped his feet shoulder-length apart, pointing his toes in whatever direction they very well pleased, which was towards the 'opponent.' He blew out of his nose irritatedly as he rolled his shoulders, clenching and un-clenching his fists as he placed them a few inches under his chin.
Dispelling off of his back foot, Haruaki would twist his foot, dominant leg, shoulders and torso until his upper body was facing the punching bag. He extended his right arm quickly, straightening it as he threw his the fist at the bag. In the process, he twisted his hips a little and tipped his head to the side, keeping his left wrist hovering by his chest.
His right fist smashed against the punching bag, but it still proved to offer little strength to the bag. It swung on its chain a bit more loosely, however, which made Haruaki's lips pull back of his teeth as he straightened again as his fist sort of bounced back, his shoulders lining up with the wall next to him now as his left shoulder pointed towards the bag, his feet pivoting on the hard surface that was the floor.
"Seriously?"
"Let's see you motherfuckin' try, brother."
"Mm, no, fuckass.."[/ul]
