The Shadow Perception works differently then that of the Nara clan as the Nara Clan works and focuses on mainly their own shadow, as well as the shadows that their shadow touches. The Nara clan is Ninjutsu. The Shadow Perception is the fifth basic as it deals with the understanding of what the mind sees it sees and what the mind hears it hears. Shadows is an unknown force that has plagued the mind throughout existence in which one feels they have seen a figure that is not really there, a shape that is not truly its shape. The Shadow Perception brings these shapes alive in an illusionary form, making the mind feel, and believe it is real. This is why it is called the Shadow Perception.

Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. Effect: A digging tool, a bit like a trowel. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Also used as a knife.

Description: The kunai is conventionally wrought in ranges from 6 to 8 inches, with the average at 7 inches. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a crowbar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife. There could be multiple kinds of kunais such as handless ones, or even double sided kunais as long as they are within the same length.

Personality
Koemi has always been somewhat of a free spirit, while she abides by what she needs to do as duty would dictate, she has also been known to act on whim most often. She knows it's because she gets distracted when days go by feeling slow or boring. Despite this, she is never outwardly impatient, or inwardly, she just falls off track at times, but always in a very calm, decided manner. She always will have a simple way to distract herself should she feel like it, usually a book solo-game kept in a pouch. She would never let this get in the way of a mission though, it is when she is assigned a task she fill finish it to the best of her skill and ability... Then wander off with a book.
Overall Koemi personality is hard to peg in general, she seems obsessed beyond a healthy limit with laughter and being happy, but will often look sad with a heavy look in her eyes. She will seem sluggish or out of it when you see her, but going close or talking to her will show she is perfectly aware. On the more straightforward side, she sometimes plays pranks but is never cruel and if the other does not laugh as well she asks to make it right. She also seems to be focused on fears, in her readings, studies of ninja arts and just general interest.
Koemi has several likes and loves, she of course loves laughter and would do most anything to surround herself with it. This include if she hears a crowed gathered she will usually try to go see why in case it is something that would amuse her. She also just likes quiet in general, time to read her books and giggle to herself, her other major love is warm food and tea due to its relaxing nature. On the end of dislikes, she hates social confrontations and being shamed for small things. She dislikes killing but isn't above ever taking a life, it is just something she wouldn't go out to do for fun. She also hates the feeling of when rain gets into her boots and sogs up her socks.
Appearance
Koemi was born a normal baby girl who resembled her parents closely, pale light skin and black hair with bright blue eyes. As she grew and eventually entered the academy she appeared as more of a tomboy than she thought she did. It was also never much a problem that she blended in better with the boys, just not how she wanted look. Only recently has she started to bloom and become much more feminine. Her black hair is cut into a layered shag to complimented her triangle face and really stands out against her face paint she applies daily. The paint itself is a white she applies to her already pale skin, everywhere from hair line down to upper chest even the back of her neck and ears, all except her lips which remain their normal reddish pink. She then draws in black, a thin line that goes from mid forehead perfectly vertical down to the level of the bottom of her nose making it like a slice over each of her eyes. As she has started to change in recent years, her lips have puffed up slightly and her face has lost all of its childlike rounded look. Her body as a whole has also been shifting which means her once flat tomboy figure is now becoming very much more lady like, as well as holding her athletic tone of constant training. Her chest has grown to fit c-cups, her legs longer, and her hips are more noticeable, all of this being a pleasant relief from wondering is she would be looking like her academy days forever.
Next to her very eye catching appearance, her voice will always stand out as something peculiar about her. She has a gravely, almost hoarse voice but not unpleasant. Much like the first few words said directly after waking up but all the time. Even more strange is her constant giggles, never high pitched always soft and mid tone and usually behind one of her hands. Her 'loud' voice is anything but, it sounds more like her usual gravel but slightly elevated and more annoyed. Oftentimes she is asked to repeat herself if she is too far away from someone in which case, she is capable of yelling, but her voice will crack.
Koemi tends to have two different looks, her usual is an outfit, and one that she wears on occasion. The first consists of a white fur lined white hoodie, a long sleeved white thermal shirt under and a pair of heavy and slightly baggy pants. She also has a pair of black boots, a black belt and black gloves for color breaks. There is a waterfall patch sewn into the right shoulder of the jacket. Her other outfit she saves for festivals and parties, almost identical to her first outfit but the colors are deep royal purple and black. On this outfit though she has no patch. She, when required, sports her head band on her forehead as normal, when lazy, will tie it loosely around her neck and let it hang where it can be seen, lower neck area. On missions she wears a harness over her outfit, it is always black.
Background
Kambei and Hikari her parents were both ninja of the waterfall who fell in love at an early age when they were both serving on the same team. After both had served quite some time and were prepared for it they had their first and only child, Koemi. Her father was kind hearted and loving, always there for his little girl, her mother was tough but fair, always making sure Koemi would be ready for the day she started entered the academy. Life was good, peaceful and happy... Innocent. Koemi's first real memory was going with her father to look for her mother one night, she had dropped off a dinner for each of them and then left without saying where she would be going or when she would be back, and it was already late when they set off. Her father was a good tracker and maybe if he hadn't been, or if they just let her come back, they would have been a happy family still. He believed she had made her way into the inn and searched around... Empty, not even the owner was there. Kambei told Koemi to hide herself and wait for him, fearing something happened to her and made his way to the cellar. Time passed and while it was really only just a minute it felt like forever so she went out to find her father, when she finally saw the cellar doors open she snuck up to take a peek only to see her mother rush past, sword in hand and knives thrown into her shoulder and arm fleeing as fast as she could. She then heard a groan, shrieking when she realized it came from her papa, running down the stairs and being caught in the same genjutsu he was stuck in only seeing reality for one moment, her father, pooling blood and lost in a trance.
When the genjutsu took effect on her the world blacked out, there was just her and the last image she saw of her father, now boiling in his blood quite literally and the feelings of crushing fear, pain, hopelessness and then the voices, calling at her, telling her that her father was dead, tormenting her. It didn't end there, something else was at work, something dark and that this genjutsu was just a way to escape, but Koemi couldn't know, she just could feel an overwhelming darkness and evil. All of this going on and on until she awoke, hearing her father and running over to him, he told her to go get help, it would all be okay, just before she goes to give him a smile and a laugh. She did. Eventually the both were saved and her father treated, but life was not normal after, it was never normal again, laughing became her coping mechanism, and eventually an obsession to forget what she felt because even now it is not her remembering the bad, the darkness feeling of that night, never left and sticks with her, reminding her, and her only way to stop it is to just smile and laugh.
Koemi spent her years in the academy with her head down and learning all she could. She never really fit in, was sometimes called out for being the child of a missing nin and home was not much better. At a certain point her father stopped speaking for several years. He lost nearly everything that night and refused to even think about what happened, then he would look at his daughter and see how it effected her and curse himself. She was still his little girl but where his joy for her was, now was hatred for himself. She graduated the academy with amazing marks but during the party following, her father grew sick the first signs of a disease that would plague him for many years.
Koemi was forced to spend the years following graduation helping her father as he was stuck in bed most of the time. Years after graduation, everyone else doing their jobs, and she was stuck taking care of a father she hadn't seen smile since she was five. She loved him dearly but they both knew this was hurting her. During this time she started to read lots of books to distrstract herself, she would go to festivals and tell jokes, watch performers and bring back sweet rolls for her father. One such festival a rather beautiful performer took to her and showed her how to do the makeup she does to this day and encouraged her to be all she could be. Recently her father has made a full recovery, thought impossible by most, he survived. During all this time she made sure to keep up with her training and now, Koemi is ready to return to her duty.

Description: Each rank of the technique can create a shadow of up to a certain size category from fine to Colossal. At the time of performing the Illusionist chooses whether the shadow created will be a type of equipment or creature. Items created with this GenJutsu are considered to be one-third as real and have one-third the normal strength of the object. There are two types of objects that can be created: Weapons, and Equipment. Weapons created via this GenJutsu are partially real and those who succeed in finding out it is a GenJutsu will still be affected by one third of damage created by the weapon. Those who do not feel that this is a fake will suffer full on attack. Items created have no major significance. They cannot do anything other than look nice or pretty unless they were to harm those who perceive the object such as a stab, or a cut. Creatures shaped are considered one third real with a transparent feel along them. They are one third as strong as a normal creature. Creatures made by this Jutsu have none of the normal qualities such as poisons or helpers. When the user first learns this technique they are only capable of creating objects the size of fine, which is very small and is capable of making just one. When the user learns the "C" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Diminutive and Tiny objects up to three. When the user learns the "B" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Small and Medium sized creatures up to five. When the user learns "A" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Large and Huge Creatures up to seven creatures. When the user learns the "S" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Gargantuan to Colossal sized creatures up to nine.

In places where they don’t have their eyes at, the target will here mysterious sounds, and if they try and quickly turn there head to the area of the sound, they will see mysterious silhouettes quickly leave their site of vision. If the victim has an ability that allows them to see abnormally, they will simply see strange silhouettes staring at them. If the target tries to attack this shadow-beings, they will here intense movement sounds, and a group of these shadow beings will attack the target from the front. But as soon as these shadows beings almost touch the victim they will disappear in a puff of non-existent smoke.

Drawback: Different shuffle sets are not controllable
Description: After finishing the seals, the target is totally immersed in the genjutsu, as well as totally unable to realize that they were affected, as it only shuffles appearances, but all in all still appears real. There are three distinct shuffle sets:
mirror shuffle: the target sees everything in mirror image, an attack from the left actually coming from the right, top actually from bottom, elemental NinJutsu appear opposite of their element.
clutter shuffle: the target sees everything at a completely random setup, much more effective than the mirror shuffle, as an attack from either side could appear to be coming from the bottom or vice versa.
perfect random: the most powerful illusion, in this version a TaiJutsu may not even be so, it could be a ninjutsu, or even a completely different taijutsu. A target trapped in this level of illusion looks like a complete idiot more often than not, guarding from attacks that do not exist.

Goggles are often worn as a fashion statement in certain subcultures, most often as part of the cybergoth subculture. They are usually worn over the eyes or up on the forehead to secure 'falls'. Description: Hira-shuriken is constructed from thin, flat plates of metal derived from a variety of sources including hishi-gane (coins), and kugi-nuki (carpentry tools), and generally resemble popular conceptions of shuriken. In modern popular culture, these are called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars". They often have a hole in the center and possess a fairly thin blade sharpened only at the tip. The holes derive from their source in items that had holes - old coins, washers, and nail-removing tools. This proved convenient for the shuriken user, as well, as the weapons could be strung on a string or dowel in the belt for transport, and the hole also had aerodynamic and weighting effects that aided the flight of the blade after it was thrown. There is a wide variety of forms of hira-shuriken and they are now usually identified by the number of points the blades possess.

Description: The kunai is conventionally wrought in ranges from 6 to 8 inches, with the average at 7 inches. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a crowbar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife. There could be multiple kinds of kunais such as handless ones, or even double sided kunais as long as they are within the same length.

Personality
Koemi has always been somewhat of a free spirit, while she abides by what she needs to do as duty would dictate, she has also been known to act on whim most often. She knows it's because she gets distracted when days go by feeling slow or boring. Despite this, she is never outwardly impatient, or inwardly, she just falls off track at times, but always in a very calm, decided manner. She always will have a simple way to distract herself should she feel like it, usually a book solo-game kept in a pouch. She would never let this get in the way of a mission though, it is when she is assigned a task she fill finish it to the best of her skill and ability... Then wander off with a book.
Overall Koemi personality is hard to peg in general, she seems obsessed beyond a healthy limit with laughter and being happy, but will often look sad with a heavy look in her eyes. She will seem sluggish or out of it when you see her, but going close or talking to her will show she is perfectly aware. On the more straightforward side, she sometimes plays pranks but is never cruel and if the other does not laugh as well she asks to make it right. She also seems to be focused on fears, in her readings, studies of ninja arts and just general interest.
Koemi has several likes and loves, she of course loves laughter and would do most anything to surround herself with it. This include if she hears a crowed gathered she will usually try to go see why in case it is something that would amuse her. She also just likes quiet in general, time to read her books and giggle to herself, her other major love is warm food and tea due to its relaxing nature. On the end of dislikes, she hates social confrontations and being shamed for small things. She dislikes killing but isn't above ever taking a life, it is just something she wouldn't go out to do for fun. She also hates the feeling of when rain gets into her boots and sogs up her socks.
Appearance
Koemi was born a normal baby girl who resembled her parents closely, pale light skin and black hair with bright blue eyes. As she grew and eventually entered the academy she appeared as more of a tomboy than she thought she did. It was also never much a problem that she blended in better with the boys, just not how she wanted look. Only recently has she started to bloom and become much more feminine. Her black hair is cut into a layered shag to complimented her triangle face and really stands out against her face paint she applies daily. The paint itself is a white she applies to her already pale skin, everywhere from hair line down to upper chest even the back of her neck and ears, all except her lips which remain their normal reddish pink. She then draws in black, a thin line that goes from mid forehead perfectly vertical down to the level of the bottom of her nose making it like a slice over each of her eyes. As she has started to change in recent years, her lips have puffed up slightly and her face has lost all of its childlike rounded look. Her body as a whole has also been shifting which means her once flat tomboy figure is now becoming very much more lady like, as well as holding her athletic tone of constant training. Her chest has grown to fit c-cups, her legs longer, and her hips are more noticeable, all of this being a pleasant relief from wondering is she would be looking like her academy days forever.
Next to her very eye catching appearance, her voice will always stand out as something peculiar about her. She has a gravely, almost hoarse voice but not unpleasant. Much like the first few words said directly after waking up but all the time. Even more strange is her constant giggles, never high pitched always soft and mid tone and usually behind one of her hands. Her 'loud' voice is anything but, it sounds more like her usual gravel but slightly elevated and more annoyed. Oftentimes she is asked to repeat herself if she is too far away from someone in which case, she is capable of yelling, but her voice will crack.
Koemi tends to have two different looks, her usual is an outfit, and one that she wears on occasion. The first consists of a white fur lined white hoodie, a long sleeved white thermal shirt under and a pair of heavy and slightly baggy pants. She also has a pair of black boots, a black belt and black gloves for color breaks. There is a waterfall patch sewn into the right shoulder of the jacket. Her other outfit she saves for festivals and parties, almost identical to her first outfit but the colors are deep royal purple and black. On this outfit though she has no patch. She, when required, sports her head band on her forehead as normal, when lazy, will tie it loosely around her neck and let it hang where it can be seen, lower neck area. On missions she wears a harness over her outfit, it is always black.
Background
Kambei and Hikari her parents were both ninja of the waterfall who fell in love at an early age when they were both serving on the same team. After both had served quite some time and were prepared for it they had their first and only child, Koemi. Her father was kind hearted and loving, always there for his little girl, her mother was tough but fair, always making sure Koemi would be ready for the day she started entered the academy. Life was good, peaceful and happy... Innocent. Koemi's first real memory was going with her father to look for her mother one night, she had dropped off a dinner for each of them and then left without saying where she would be going or when she would be back, and it was already late when they set off. Her father was a good tracker and maybe if he hadn't been, or if they just let her come back, they would have been a happy family still. He believed she had made her way into the inn and searched around... Empty, not even the owner was there. Kambei told Koemi to hide herself and wait for him, fearing something happened to her and made his way to the cellar. Time passed and while it was really only just a minute it felt like forever so she went out to find her father, when she finally saw the cellar doors open she snuck up to take a peek only to see her mother rush past, sword in hand and knives thrown into her shoulder and arm fleeing as fast as she could. She then heard a groan, shrieking when she realized it came from her papa, running down the stairs and being caught in the same genjutsu he was stuck in only seeing reality for one moment, her father, pooling blood and lost in a trance.
When the genjutsu took effect on her the world blacked out, there was just her and the last image she saw of her father, now boiling in his blood quite literally and the feelings of crushing fear, pain, hopelessness and then the voices, calling at her, telling her that her father was dead, tormenting her. It didn't end there, something else was at work, something dark and that this genjutsu was just a way to escape, but Koemi couldn't know, she just could feel an overwhelming darkness and evil. All of this going on and on until she awoke, hearing her father and running over to him, he told her to go get help, it would all be okay, just before she goes to give him a smile and a laugh. She did. Eventually the both were saved and her father treated, but life was not normal after, it was never normal again, laughing became her coping mechanism, and eventually an obsession to forget what she felt because even now it is not her remembering the bad, the darkness feeling of that night, never left and sticks with her, reminding her, and her only way to stop it is to just smile and laugh.
Koemi spent her years in the academy with her head down and learning all she could. She never really fit in, was sometimes called out for being the child of a missing nin and home was not much better. At a certain point her father stopped speaking for several years. He lost nearly everything that night and refused to even think about what happened, then he would look at his daughter and see how it effected her and curse himself. She was still his little girl but where his joy for her was, now was hatred for himself. She graduated the academy with amazing marks but during the party following, her father grew sick the first signs of a disease that would plague him for many years.
Koemi was forced to spend the years following graduation helping her father as he was stuck in bed most of the time. Years after graduation, everyone else doing their jobs, and she was stuck taking care of a father she hadn't seen smile since she was five. She loved him dearly but they both knew this was hurting her. During this time she started to read lots of books to distrstract herself, she would go to festivals and tell jokes, watch performers and bring back sweet rolls for her father. One such festival a rather beautiful performer took to her and showed her how to do the makeup she does to this day and encouraged her to be all she could be. Recently her father has made a full recovery, thought impossible by most, he survived. During all this time she made sure to keep up with her training and now, Koemi is ready to return to her duty.

Description: Each rank of the technique can create a shadow of up to a certain size category from fine to Colossal. At the time of performing the Illusionist chooses whether the shadow created will be a type of equipment or creature. Items created with this GenJutsu are considered to be one-third as real and have one-third the normal strength of the object. There are two types of objects that can be created: Weapons, and Equipment. Weapons created via this GenJutsu are partially real and those who succeed in finding out it is a GenJutsu will still be affected by one third of damage created by the weapon. Those who do not feel that this is a fake will suffer full on attack. Items created have no major significance. They cannot do anything other than look nice or pretty unless they were to harm those who perceive the object such as a stab, or a cut. Creatures shaped are considered one third real with a transparent feel along them. They are one third as strong as a normal creature. Creatures made by this Jutsu have none of the normal qualities such as poisons or helpers. When the user first learns this technique they are only capable of creating objects the size of fine, which is very small and is capable of making just one. When the user learns the "C" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Diminutive and Tiny objects up to three. When the user learns the "B" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Small and Medium sized creatures up to five. When the user learns "A" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Large and Huge Creatures up to seven creatures. When the user learns the "S" Rank of this technique the user is capable of making Gargantuan to Colossal sized creatures up to nine.

Description: When hand seals are completed, the jutsu immediately takes effect. The target will start to think they’re being watch constantly. In places where they don’t have their eyes at, the target will here mysterious sounds, and if they try and quickly turn there head to the area of the sound, they will see mysterious silhouettes quickly leave their site of vision. If the victim has an ability that allows them to see abnormally, they will simply see strange silhouettes staring at them. If the target tries to attack this shadow-beings, they will here intense movement sounds, and a group of these shadow beings will attack the target from the front. But as soon as these shadows beings almost touch the victim they will disappear in a puff of non-existent smoke.

Awakened Fears

When the user is "A" Class, the user is capable of performing this technique off into the distance of sixty meters. Brain Shuffler

Effect: Shuffles the targets information-processing system, making one attack appear to be something very different. Duration: five rounds

Drawback: Different shuffle sets are not controllable
Description: After finishing the seals, the target is totally immersed in the genjutsu, as well as totally unable to realize that they were affected, as it only shuffles appearances, but all in all still appears real. There are three distinct shuffle sets:
mirror shuffle: the target sees everything in mirror image, an attack from the left actually coming from the right, top actually from bottom, elemental NinJutsu appear opposite of their element.
clutter shuffle: the target sees everything at a completely random setup, much more effective than the mirror shuffle, as an attack from either side could appear to be coming from the bottom or vice versa.
perfect random: the most powerful illusion, in this version a TaiJutsu may not even be so, it could be a ninjutsu, or even a completely different taijutsu. A target trapped in this level of illusion looks like a complete idiot more often than not, guarding from attacks that do not exist.
Limit: Must have Genjutsu specialist to perform clutter or perfect shuffles. Must have the Phantasm Perception.
