The chaotic sensation of the past few hours had been completely unnerving for the tiny unborn Katsu. He had finally gotten used to the rhythmic sound coming from below him rather than above, when suddenly it had begun beating rapidly, a sense of urgency filling not just Katsu's mind but his entire tiny world. The barriers heaved back and forth, the cord that attached Katsu to the barrier of his world ceased to feed him. Until that moment Katsu didn't even know that it was feeding him, but as soon as it stopped doing so Katsu felt hunger for the first time.
The chaos didn't stop there but only continued, Katsu's entire world convulsing violently, his world was shrinking, and Katsu for the first time felt that he was moving, and not under his own will. He didn't have any point of reference to tell when his world had moved of its own accord, his mother doing her daily habits, because he was suspended in a body of liquid, cushioning him from any change in velocity. Terror once again filled his mind, but it seemed this time there wasn't going to be any relief. His sense of time seemed off. There was this long time ago that seemed to take forever, and yet now things seemed to be happening so much more rapidly, the sensations he felt were coming more and more rapidly, his hearing and touch being bombarded with new information he didn't know how to interpret.
Finally it had begun to happen. Satomi, Katsu's mother, had gone into labor, and Katsu was going to be born. The first sensation he felt was pressure. From all sides. His tiny world was convulsing tighter and tighter, as if trying to crush Katsu out of existence. He felt pain, not the dull ache of his muscles but true squeezing pain. He was moving up somehow, and above him the world tightened, but he was being forced up anyway. The squeezing sensation continued, the pain rising higher and higher. Katsu was paralyzed by this crushing pain, completely unable to figure out how to display his pain and discomfort in any way, he was stuck in a torturous hell, helpless and terrified. The pain slowly encompassed his shoulders and arms, and suddenly Katsu felt something ELSE touching him. Something completely alien, completely different, touched his head. It was latex gloves, worn by the doctor tending to his mother, and they were pulling Katsu, which to him felt like his head was trying to come off at the time.
An explosion of new sensations. Suddenly Katsu was subjected to new things like light, and air, and cold, and the uncushioned voices beating at his ears. The worst feeling was that Katsu couldn't hear that comforting heartbeat anymore.

Observation
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill
Effect: This skill focuses certain powers of observation - sight, smell, hearing, and touch.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Can be learned by an Animal. A failed check indicates that the character is oblivious until the thing is pointed out to him. This skill is important for ferreting out advancing enemies or ambushes, generally real-time events and actions occurring, versus scrutiny, which covers static objects or areas. A Game Master may roll an Observation skill check for a Character any time there is an NPC, monster, event or happening that a character might notice, even if he did not specifically state that he is monitoring his surroundings. Characters are capable of noticing any event within their perception. Observation reveals only facts, not motivation. If user has 25 or more Ranks in Evidence Analysis user gains a Synergy Bonus +10 to Observation. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.
