Character Depth
Personality: Not one to remain overshadowed or hidden at the back of the class, Tyriuu is often noted by others for his fast talking and overall cocky attitude. Due to the strict nature of Kiri this has often gotten him on the bad side of the higher ups in the village and led to many disciplinary actions taken against him. Despite this however; Tyriuu remains true to his nature and acts accordingly no matter the repercussions he might face. One thing that is important to note about Tyriuu is the intensity in which he takes combat. Any that have sparred or been unfortunate enough to be placed in a combat situation with Tyriuu find that he does not take these certain situations lightly. Whether actual battle or training, Tyriuu goes all out with the full intent of taking his opponent out of commission and winning at all costs. The often jovial presence he emits at most times vanishes completely and a cold, ruthless nature take its place rendering Tyriuu a different person.
Despite his friendly demeanor towards other most of the time Tyriuu is fueled and motivated by self preservation and self advancement. The needs of others are secondary to him and if by chance he is helping you, he is more than likely doing so because it helps him in one way or the other. Though he hasnt been in many situation in which he was forced to hide his true intentions, he does hide behind his goals behind his words when it is needed. He likes to think of himself as the dashing rouge-like Shinobi from his favorite novel, Fall on the Fields, and most of the times presents himself as such by acting the part. Overconfident and arrogant, Tyriuu will put himself upon a pedestal in front of others, however this is just an act for on lookers. In reality Tyriuu is well grounded and knows his limit, and therefore will not put himself in harms way if he can at all avoid it. Despite the way he acts Tyriuu does take being being a Shinobi seriously and strives to excel at his role as a warrior for his village.
Befitting his rouge persona, Tyriuu prides himself on being a lady's man of sorts. Often found frequenting the brothels as much as the training ground Tyriuu has amassed a reputation of being a lecher by some, and a casanova by others. Though he does not idly flirt with every woman he meets, and in no way does he actually attempt to form a converstaion of this kind with every woman he meets, Tyriuu has been known to sway women his way with his words despite his age. Most see this as arrogance and find it a hinderance and a blemish for a Shinobi to conduct himself in such a manner, but Tyriuu ignores them and continues on, hiding his insecurities behind his overly rambunctious nature.
Appearance: Being of a moderately tall and muscular type build for a young man of his age, Tyriuu is a fairly attractive young male and takes a fairly decent amount of pride in his appearance and the upkeep thereof. Deep, piercing blue eyes mirror the waters that surround the shores of Kirigakure, and his skin remains slightly tanned compared to the normal pale of most Kirigakure citizens despite the thick fog that surrounds the village at most times blocking out the sun. A small shallow scar can be see running across his right cheek as a sign of a defeat and disgrace he faced long ago. Keeping his dark black hair well kept and trimmed short, despite the length in the back he allows to grow into a ponytail, Tyriuu truly looks the part of a young warrior.
The standard attire attire he wears when on duty revolves mainly around a stripped material in which he wears wrapped around his wrists and legs, and which merges into his boots. Underneath this he wears a set of full black shirt and pants over which he wears the villages's standard grey tactical flak jacket. Covering this you can normally see him wearing a black cloak that he only removes when it hinders his stealth or obstructs his combat ability. Concealed on his waist near the small of his back one might see the short Tonto he always carried with him, and either on his back, in his hand, or strapped to his waist the black sheathed Katana is always present.
When he is not garbed in the battle armaments of a Shinobi, Tyriuu prefers relaxing attire in which he can lounge about without the worry of said clothing chaffing. He can often be seen wearing a loosely fitting shirt and pants, without the accompaniment of any shoes present. It is not typical for a Shinobi, but everyone has their quirks and being comfy just so happens to be one of his.
Background: Born into the widely known and well reputed family of swordsmen, Tyriuu was the sole heir of his family's style of sword fighting and therefore was constantly drilled and pressured by his father to push himself harder and harder each day. As he grew older Tyriuu would realize that his father only sought the best for him, but in his youth he resented him and would not hide the fact that he truly hated the man that would not allow him a childhood. It was during the eleventh year of his life that the training finally stopped being forced upon him, and it only did so due to his father's sudden death. It was an early spring morning when it happened, and the night before Tyriuu and his father had a particularly bad fight in which he proceeded to disown his heritage and curse his father to his face. It was only after his death that Tyriuu learned of his father's weak heart and failing health. As he would learn later, his father had only been pushing him so hard due to his own death looming over him due to his failing health. Tyriuu would never forgive himself for what he said to his father, and he would forever struggle against the past he wished to forget.
With his father gone Tyriuu was incapable of finishing his sword training, but to make amends to his father he would convinced he could not sit idly by and do nothing. He realized that the next best thing, and the only real option he had left, would be to join the academy in Kiri and become one of their Shinobi. He hoped that by training as a shinobi he would acquire enough skill to continue his training and become an even greater swordsman than his father had been. Though it was a long a perils trek though the academy, Tyiruu managed to graduate and continue his training to some degree. Despite this however, he has long since developed a love for battle and using Ninjutsu, in which he excelled. Though he never forgot his roots and why he joined the academy to begin with, he long since decided to devote his life to the way of the Shinobi and developing his own unique Jutsu as well as mastering the sword training as his father had wished.
His time since he graduated from the academy has been uneventful thus far, mostly participating in routine missions and assignments not far from the village. constantly longing for the adventures he has read of in his books, Tyriuu is not satisfied with the role he has been given and seeks to rectify this by demonstrating his own skill and prowess in both intellect and skill. Though he is overlooked by many, those that give him a chance can truly see his worth and what he is capable of. Slightly haunted by his past and striving to make a change for himself and those around him, Tyriuu waits for any opportunity to advance himself no matter the cost.
