specialties;
medical specialist;
appearance;
Hair black as the darkest nights sits atop Makito’s head, about ear length and falling straight instead of curled. It’s not necessarily spikey, but it would certainly be fair to call it disheveled most of the time, as he doesn’t put too much effort into it. While he may not be the manliest guy around, it would take someone special to think him feminine. At least, when he’s around and about on business he wears sweat pants and a track jacket most of the time, along with a bandana tied around his neck and boots on his feet. There is a bit of leeway though, when he’s around his family he wears a traditional black kimono and keeps his hair tied back in a high ponytail.
Standing at just under six feet, he’s not necessarily tall but he isn’t short by any means either. His muscles are well defined thanks to his taijutsu training as well, which aren’t always very obvious thanks to his clothing covering it. Sometimes his shirt underneath his jacket is tight enough or his kimono has a deep enough V neck for glimpses to be seen, but most of the time they’re out of sight. What is clear is that he has a fair complexion, just slightly tanned thanks to the time he spends outside. His hands aren’t as calloused as they could be either, thanks to him being able to heal himself before permanent marks form.
Makito’s face is quite handsome, his deep blue eyes quite striking as well since they’re framed by such dark locks. His features are a bit soft still despite him having gone through adolescence, giving him a bit more of a boyish than manly look to him. For the most part he keeps his kimono in good shape thanks to family tradition, but he doesn’t really care if his clothes get a bit ripped. The gray bandana he keeps around his neck is a good luck charm actually, which he still wears around despite it being tattered and having a few holes in it.

personality;
Stubborn to the core, it’s incredibly difficult to change this guy’s mind once he’s decided upon something. That’s not to say it’s impossible and sometimes he’s more lenient than others, depending on his overall mood. But for the most part, he absolutely hates to admit when he’s wrong. It’s more detrimental than anything really, keeping him from working on fixing his mistakes simply because he refuses to admit he made any. In private he’d have no problem trying to fix what was wrong, but with anyone else around he’d rather act as if he was right all along.
Makito has quite the temper as well, an undeniable hothead. He has no qualms with voicing his opinion or butting heads with others, regardless of who they are. The young man is very opinionated, based entirely on his personal set of morals. He’s good and pure at heart, but his rash behavior doesn’t translate it very well. While he may be good, he certainly isn’t any sort of pacifist. Without hesitation he would persecute those he believes to be evil, but he’s also cautious not to punish those who don’t deserve it. Killing isn’t something he’s a stranger to, but he definitely only saves it for the worst of the worst.
While he may not act like it all the time with how much he loves fighting, he absolutely loves to help others. Makito wants to save those he can, however he can. Whether it’s healing them in a hospital bed or protecting them with his sword in the battlefield, he doesn’t care. He wants to be strong enough to protect others and also skilled enough to heal them, while not being left on the sidelines or on the backburner either. The dark haired shinobi can be very hard-headed, but his heart is definitely in a good place.

history;
Makito was born into a devoutly religious and traditional family, with his parents and two older sisters. His father always seemed to take special pride in him as the only son, but he never really felt as if he was even close to his sisters in strength. Even when he was young he hadn’t any qualms with attending the usual religious meetings, in fact he quite enjoyed it. The kid was surprisingly in tune with his understanding of the faith; it was the one thing he held over his sisters who were stronger with their chakra usage. Some at the church were amazing at helping others with healing and they taught him some of the basics, which he took to heart.
Even before he entered the academy, he had the strong devotion in mind to aim for becoming a medical shinobi. When he was young he wanted to be able to help people when they needed it most, which he believed was in the middle of the battlefield. It was a goal that remained with him while he went through the academy, learning the fundamentals of being a shinobi as he continued his work in the healing arts at the church. He was definitely more on the serious side about his studies as well, not wasting his time on messing around.
One of the biggest distractions for Makito in the academy was a boy by the name of Miroku, who he always tried to ignore to the best of his abilities. It wasn’t even the other kid’s fault that he acted so distant and usually like a jerk- it was because he wanted to hide his crush with mock dislike. While it had been tough to deal with he did his best to just ignore the whole issue altogether, too fearful of rejection to ever say anything. After he graduated the academy, he spent most of his time around the hospital and church. His field experience didn’t build up very much, yet that didn’t stop him from training for combat.
