The scroll described a very strange recipe that he would have to create, but the piece that said what it was for had been torn off. The situation just had become weirder and weirder, but he walked over to the large cauldron with the scroll and the strong mixture. He first had to clear the table to get some room, but Emi didn’t care about the things on it, so he just showed it down on the ground. Some pots and bowls crashed, but Emi just shrugged his shoulders when the old man seemed oblivious of it. He saw that the first ingredients of the list were the mixture, so he started off by pouring it down into the cauldron before he put the fire on. The procedure wasn’t very hard, but it involved several strange ingredients, like crushed troll tooth and feather from a flying frog. After he had stirred in the cauldron as he read the final instructions.
When the beverage has been boiling for ten minutes, put a quarter of it in a cup and drink it.
This was the first time doing a weird potion, so he had strong doubts of the effect of it. The smell was strong and made him nauseous. But he took a couple of quick looks at the man on the chair and decided he’d try it. Nothing in the elixir seemed to be poisonous at least. So he held his shut and poured most of the bulky liquid down into his throat. His body immediately got a lot warmer and his heart started to pound extremely heavy. It was as if the heart was trying to jump out from his chest. Then the environment started to change, at first it was just the colors getting mixed together and the contrast that got stronger. But then a thick fog appeared from the floor and trees burst out from the floor. The roof disappeared and was replaced with a dark sky with thousands of bright stars twinkling. A giant moan behind him ended the dead silence and Emi could feel the breeze coming from the exhale. As he turned around to watch the one that had done it, fear struck him.
Just a couple of feet away from his head, there were a gigantic tortoise with eyes larger than whole Emi’s body. Even though he didn’t make the connection right away, he realized after a short while that the tortoise he was looking at was the same one from the scroll he had been given before. Its eyes were closed and it didn’t seem to be breathing, so Emi hoped that the giant creature was sleeping. So with some quiet steps, he attempted to sneak away from the tortoise while opening his inner eye. Something wasn’t right about the whole situation, so Emi wanted to learn what it was. But as his inner eye was opened, he got overwhelmed by spiritual presence. The whole place was shining light-blue of divine chakra, so he wasn’t even capable of seeing the tortoise.
Have you come here to steal my chakra for that blasted seal too?
The tortoise spoke very slowly and his voice was dark as thunder, but Emi still felt that the tortoise wasn’t friendly aligned towards him. With some quick hands, Emi drew a handful of shurikens and prepared himself to throw them at the creature’s mouth. But without making a single movement, the ground burst opened and a bunch of vines started to entangle Emi in the ground. They wasn’t very strong and he felt that he could break loose rather easy, but when he thought that the vines had the same divine glow as the rest of the surroundings, Emi decided to test it out. He dropped his shurikens and sends an average amount of chakra to the hands and attempted to drain some of the chakra from the vines. The hands began to tingle and then they started to hurt, but Emi felt the surge of energy he got from the vines and the grip was loosening itself around him. A white flame appeared around his hands, it was cold but shone with light in the poorly illuminated surroundings.
YOU THIEF
The tortoise screamed as it opened its eyes and began to move the giant body towards Emi. Surrounding the tortoise entire body, vines of various sizes erupted and were aimed towards Emi, it was as a big green wall with hundreds of heads. His hands instinctively moved and performed a series of seals to create an encampment wall of water. The attributes of the chakra in his body had turned into the same one as the one he had absorbed from the vines, so he felt supercharged and optimistic that the wall would block the attacks. But as the water-wall started to take shape, Emi felt how drained he became of the technique, even though it never used to affect him before. The legs grew weak and his head got heavy. Before the wall had become complete, the vines pierced it and barely lost any power at all. So Emi was forced to jump away. When the vines hit the ground it felt like an earthquake and the earth was completely smashed downwards, creating a huge crater.
