The Knights who say nice things [ATI: Aimi][P]

[Aimi Kaguya]

Aimi didn't quite understand why Jenson was so upset. All he had asked was who he was and what he was doing down there in the first place. Apparently his history with the four went back further and more sour than he had realized. He watched as the man in black armor raised his blade, but was intrigued by the crackling lighting in his opposite hand. Raiton chakra? A jutsu? Five seconds!? This man wasn't a knight, he couldn't have been if he knew how to mold chakra, or if he was he must have had some sort of training to let him manipulate his chakra in the first place. What was he doing, and what was this sound? Aimi had to pick a side, and he knew one things: if he had to be on one side or the other of that jutsu, he wanted to be on the non-recieving end of it. That meant getting behind Jenson, and getting on his side.

Getting up on one knee as the count down started, Aimi threw his entire body weight forward and rolled on the ground to the right side of the black armored man, coming to a skidding stop one his knees behind him and calling out, "Yours!" as a sudden and makeshift way to announce that he believed what he had to say, which he honestly did over what the other four had told him. Now he just had to wait and see if he had chosen right, or if he'd rolled into a trap...

smirk would plaster itself across Jenson Hatake's face. "Good choice kid." The man stepped back, taking a position next to you. "Time to show your worth and loyalty. Take out these four bitches, shouldn't be too hard. If you can handle that you're in. The deal is simple, if you make it through to the treasure at the end you get one third of the profit." It was clear that he had no intention of fighting himself if he could charter you to do the dirty work for him. "Knave!" Alva spewed. "Peasant!" Parma fulminated. "Traitor! Velasco could barely say it, releasing copious amounts of spit from the mouth along with the word. Spinola all of a sudden flew into a tirade that has been censored to preserve the innocence of our readers and to prevent the deletion of these writings by a higher power.

Of course he wasn't going to be doing any of the fighting himself. Why did they always never want to do the fighting themselves? A slightly shocked look crossed Aimi's face as his eyes widened, looking at the man now at his side and wondering why the hell he didn't just finish them off himself with whatever jutsu or technique he was about to use. It was obviously powerful if it could manifest chakra visibly like that. It couldn't be helped though he supposed. He looked out at the four colorful knights. He didn't particularly want to fight them and he had never expected to in the first place. He'd thought Jenson would be good for his word and attack as soon as he got to one. But he was wrong, and now he had to pay the price. A shinobi is meant to see through deceptions, and as of yet, he didn't know if he had seen correctly or not.

Standing up, Aimi took two steps forward towards the four knights, placing his left hand on the very edge of the sheath of his katana on his left hip, his right grabbing the handle firm. "I'm sorry it's come to this," he said solemnly, placing his right foot forward and turning his left foot so that it was perpendicular to the right. "But I've made my choice, and now I have to live with it... Don't hold it against me." Unable to say anything else, the genin quickly formulated what it was he was going to do in his mind. He wanted this to be quick and as painless as possible. He didn't know how well their armor would protect them, but he assumed it would be enough to keep them alive. A gamble of long odds. He had to take it.

A breath, and then he moved. Taking another step forward, Aimi slid across the room towards the four knights suddenly, aiming to move past them all together. While he was in the midst of them, he drew his sword with thunderous speed, slashed it just as quickly - so fast the human eye was not capable of following it properly, and came to a stop just at the bottom step where they had descended from. The rifts would come then, making his attack known to all in the room and cutting the very air, as well as the knights should his aim have proven true. As he sheathed his blade and stood up straight, looking over his shoulder, he only hoped that their armor took the brunt of the damage for them and whatever it was they were feeling - pain, betrayal, disbelief - it was not death.

Effect: This technique is the basic concept of Busōsen (Arms Flash) which deals specifically with the rapid drawing and sheathing of a sword.

Drawback: Missing the strike could result in the user being completely vulnerable.
Description: The user stands in the Keihatsu Ryuu: Battōjutsu no Kamae (Art of Drawing the Blade Posture). Grabbing the handle of the sword near the Tsuba, the user thereafter steps forward with the front leg while unsheathing the blade in a horizontal attacking motion across the body. So swift is this technique that it is akin to a "flash", taking no movements to perform. However, the concentration of such a quick strike is evident; upon sheathing the sword, the user must sacrifice a movement to do so. This technique may be performed with a knockback attack, knocking an opponent into the distance of 10 meters into a prone position.
Limit: Must learn from a Master of Busōsen (Arms Flash).

Keihatsu Ryuu: Jinsoku Surasshu (Rapid Slash)

Effect: User charges forward and slashes rapidly. This move can hit the opponent from behind.

Description: The user stands in Keihatsu Ryuu: Battōjutsu no Kamae (Art of Drawing the Blade Posture). Grabbing the handle of the sword near the Tsuba, the user thereafter steps forward with the front leg and slides across the floor (up to 10 meters) while unsheathing the blade nearly at the end of the slide, leaving behind a trail of a corkscrew rift that slashes in their wake. The corkscrew rift acts like Keihatsu Ryuu: Ryusen (Dragon Strike), however it swirls around in a large 2 ring corkscrew appearing behind the user in the length of the slide while it spreads out in a 3 meter spread from the point of origin.

hen you started to slide across the floor the four knights in unison turned towards you, bracing themselves by setting their feet shoulder length apart and turning their shields towards you. As your sword arced through the air all it would hit was wood reinforced by steel from their heavy shields, releasing a loud drumming sound. As you sheathed your blade you would feel them pressing against your back, enclosing you from both sides and the back as the knights would exploit this tiny moment of weakness where you were merely finishing your move and not directly attacking. You would now be between the men and the side of the room from which you had entered, which was only five meters forward. Once successfully deflecting your strike the four men would towards you, pressing their shields against your back and sides, intent of shoving you with a combined effort against this aforementioned wall. Assuming that the men had not shifted positions, Alva and Parma would be pushing their shields against your back , Velasco against your left side and Spinola against the right side. Together the men would yell, launching their attempt to pin you face first against the wall. Had that succeeded one of the men, which was Alva considering all the obscenities he would shout, would attempt to grab your hair and repeatedly smash your face against the hard and unforgiving rock.

Kuma Tsume - Hogo (Bear Claw - Block)

Skill: Taijutsu
Effect: Allows the user to effectively block corresponding ranks of attacks with their shield.
Special: Effective while in fully-formed Bear Claw Stance.
Drawback: Shields used with this technique will still be damaged according to item breaking laws if the attack being defended is higher than the user’s knowledge of this technique. Less effective against non-impact based Ninjutsu. May be bypassed by all-encompassing area-of-effect attacks.
Description: With training and raw physical strength the user learns the basic principle of how to block attacks with their shield. Standing steadfast, the user will simply place their shield between themselves and the threat, nullifying it with forward fortification and, if executed properly, stopping the attack’s power. The user is only able to remain on their feet and have their shield undamaged by attacks of equal or lower rank to the rank of this technique the user possesses.
Limit: “Bear Claw Stance”.

It wasn't the fact that they had survived his initial attack that had stunned Aimi, but it was the way they had survived it. All of them had simply blocked with their shields and made it through his Rapid Slash alive and unharmed, and it was one of his strongest taijutsu! What was more, now he was in an unfavorable position with the four of them at his back and sides! He needed a way out, and what was more he needed a way to get past those shields. As the four of them began to press forward with their shields, before they could close the five meter distance between them, Aimi unsheathed his sword and re-sheathed it in a blinding fast movement. So quick was it that the blast or boom that was created as a result would be sure to addle the knights at least momentarily, or so he hoped.

This completed, Aimi would jumped up and back through the air, flipping over the four knights and landing just two meters away behind them. Jumping back again, now just beside Jenson Hatake, Aimi would put a bit of distance between the four of them and himself even further. He needed to act fast. Removing his hands from his sheathed katana, Aimi held both of his hands up before him and focused his soul, sending it out and shaping it into a cone to attack all four of them simultaneously. As long as they were stunned, if they were stunned, Aimi was planning on attacking their very life force. He wouldn't kill them unless he absolutely had to, but with this he could at least weaken them enough so that they wouldn't have any fight left in them... hopefully.

Description: An unusual technique in which one uses the godspeed of Battōjutsu to sheathe the sword rather than to draw it in a practice known as Shinsoku Nōtōjutsu (God-speed Sheathing). The speed and force creates a miniature sonic boom that can be used to temporarily stun opponents with particularly sensitive or acute hearing by affecting their auditory nerves. This technique takes up no movements. Any opponent within 5 meters of the user will become stunned for 1d4 rounds. Any opponent passed the first section whom are within 5 meters will become stunned for 1 round.

Searing Soul [Learned 3 times]

Effect: User can assault the soul of another.

Drawback: May learn multiple times. This attack has no effect on constructs.
Description: This attack is a 15 meter ray of soft blue light. The user attacks one person by extending their arm out. This attack hits the insides of the user, affects their very life force. At first it doesn't cause much damage however the higher the more the user learns the deadlier the technique becomes. The attack leaves no physical damage, but creates internal damage against the user's life line. People said it feels like having a heart attack while having lost of breathe. Each time learned the user is capable of shooting this technique 5 meters extra. Technique may travel 10 meters per second plus 5 meters per Class Level.

After 50 meters user must train an extra 10 TP per tech - TP Does not go down by Class Level.
After 100 meters user must train an extra 10 TP per tech - TP Does not go down by Class Level.
After 150 meters user must train an extra 10 TP per tech - TP Does not go down by Class Level.
Cap of this technique is 200 meters.

Description: User take the energy out of your targets soul leaving it weak. The distance of this attack is dependent on the user's knowledge in Searing Soul. User releases a ray attack that is light blue in color much like Searing Soul. When it makes contact with the target they are suddenly stunned and are incapable of movement. This technique lasts for 1 round plus 1 round every class level user is higher than the target. This technique is reduced by 1 round for every class level the target is over the user.
Limit: Must be a Soulcaster. Must know Searing Soul.

our attack worked incredibly well. The knights dropped their weapons, stunned by both of your attacks. "Good work son." Jenson hatake grunted. While you were busy with the knights he had scribbled something on the steel door that obscured the way ahead in charcoal. It spelled 'Danger'. This seemed to open the door. Clearly this was the information that the man had swiftly destroyed before you had entered the room. "Through here, quick!" he said, holding the door open for you. As you passed through he would use his hand to quickly wipe out the word and close the door shut behind you.

You were now in a new room, it was four meters wide and twenty meters long, the latter of which you had to cross to another similar steel door. It had a doorknob and there didn't seem to be a keyhole from this distance, so it could just be open. Torches, each two meters apart on the long walls on both sides of the room lighted it eerily. Three meters above it hung a barrel vaulted sealing and the entire thing looked as if it had been carved straight out of the grey granite bedrock. Apart from that this was practically all there was to mention about this room as it seemed to be completely empty. "Well, this is it, the 'Chamber of Danger', looks pretty empty to me." Jenson spat, his eyes darting over the notably empty contents of the room.

The two different stuns don't stack, but they do complement, so they are all out for at least 2 rounds because of your soulcaster attack and two are stunned one round longer due to your first attack.

[Aimi Kaguya]

Aimi promptly followed suit and did as Jenson instructed, lowering his arms and thus ending his assault on the four knights' souls before turning around and dashing through the steel doors after Jenson had opened them. He didn't notice the word "danger" written on them and simply assumed that the man knew how to open it from the start. Once inside, he took a moment to look back and reflect on what he had done. He hoped it was the right thing to do, and he hoped that the four of them would be alright. He didn't have any particular ill will towards them after all.

Bringing his attention back to the seemingly empty room in front of them, the genin took in the details of it and the utter... nothing of it all. It appeared as though they could just walk straight through it and get to the other side. "Yeah..." Aimi said quietly in response to Jenson's musing about the chamber. Turning to his new companion, Aimi asked, "So what now? You knew how to get into here, you know how to get through it right?"

learly the man was as much baffled by the empty room as you were. "It wouldn't be a challenge if we knew how to do this, now would it?" Sarcasm, just great given the situation. The man poked you in the back a few times. "Well, this is the kind of stuff I hired you for. You're younger than me and thus faster and more agile. Go ahead, I'll follow you in your footsteps." Of course this comparison of age would make complete sense for any normal person, but in the shinobi world looks often deceived. Whether the man was talking nonsense or not you could not determine.

[Aimi Kaguya]

The genin wasn't sure what Jenson was talking about with his "hiring" talk, as there had been no formal meeting of any kind. All the same, they needed to get across this room and more importantly, they needed to know if there was actually anything off about it. The easiest way would be to see and know for himself. Sighing, Aimi focused his soul and looked around the room, trying to see if there was anything invisible or if something else had been in there before them. Once that was complete, Aimi would squat down and touch the floor, utilizing the power of his soul to find out if there was anything special about it. He'd do the same thing to the walls beside him, trying to gauge if the room was safe to cross or not.

Eyes of the Planes

Description: You stumble on a way to change your soul's eyes so they are more like the eyes of planar creatures. Since you are a reflection of your own soul your eyes change as well. This technique lasts for 5 hours per Class Level. User gains the ability of low-light vision and can see auras of invisible creatures. User may see only auras and no definite figures. They will know something is there, but will not be able to see what they are holding, what they are doing, nor what they look like. User also sees lingering auras where living creatures have touched solid objects much like a footprint. These lingering auras only last for 1 hour per class level and 1 hour per rank learned before they fade away. When first learned user may only see auras casted from "D" and "C" rank invisibility techniques. When user learns the "B" Rank version they may only see auras casted from "B" rank invisibility techniques. When user learns the "A" Rank version they may only see auras casted from "A" rank invisibility techniques. When user learns the "S" Rank version they may only see auras casted from "S" rank invisibility techniques.

When learning this technique the user can touch 1 object and the user will find out why the object was made and what it is able to do (Ex. If there are techniques associated with the item). User also gains any activation information and if there are any single techniques within it if applicable (Ex. A scroll with techniques inside).
Limit: Must be a Soulcaster.

U

nder the floor you would become aware of the aura of a small creatures. Not just one or two, but thousands upon thousands of them, writhing and wriggling only half a meter under what appeared to be a solid rock floor. They covered the entire area below the room and a bit more. As if there was a pool down there, filled with whatever these things were. Very ominous.

The walls directly next to you however would prove to be quite uninformative. Their most important function seemed to be to separate the ceiling from the floor and keep those two specific parts of the room apart, whilst also providing a finite size for the construction since a room without walls was the outside world.

Not completely sure what to do with these techniques, the first one allows you to see creature auras and invisibility techniques I guess so I'll restrict that one to those.

The second, I am not entirely sure of this one concerning the wall. Does a wall count as an 'object'? I think that tech is made for objects with techniques associated to them, like scrolls, weapons with imbued properties and associated techs, etc. Not for walls. Especially of one hewn out in a cave like this.So I'm just going to limit this one to the immediate walls you touch and not the other ones.

They were everywhere beneath them. There was no way for him to tell what they were, only that there were thousands of them. Mice? Rats? Insects? Any of them would have been probable given their location... but what were they all doing under the floor? It didn't set well with Aimi, and he stood up straight, taking his hand off of the wall. "There's something beneath us... a lot of them."

Turning to face Jenson, Aimi pointed to the wall and said, "The wall is safe I'm pretty sure. We can just walk on that. I'm pretty sure you can mold chakra so..." Not feeling the need to have to explain further than that, Aimi stepped over to the wall and channeled chakra into his feet, putting the right one up onto the wall first and then the left, keeping himself horizontal against it as he walked up to it, wanting to get about half way between the floor and ceiling before walking onward, waiting for Jenson to follow him.

Kinobori no Waza - Act of Tree Climbing

Effect: Allows a Non-Ninja the ability to perform Advanced chakra techniques.

Drawback: Non Ninjas must learn in order to learn Advanced chakra techniques. Ninjas gain this technique for free in the beginning however does not add into Character Class like other starting techniques. Does not work on Animal Companions.
Description: Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed. Allows a user to learn up to "C" Rank Chakra related Techniques.
Limit: Universal NinJutsu Technique.

ceptically Jenson watched how you stepped onto the wall, waiting a few seconds to see if something would happen. When nothing of any noteworthiness occurred he too would step onto the wall. As you walked along the rock you would reach the corner after about two meters, from where you had to step from the wall with the door onto the wall with the torches. As soon as you did this you could feel the stone you stepped on sink into the wall about a centimeter, a hidden switch. Along the length of the room the floor would split across the middle and both slabs of the floor would slide away under the walls, revealing what had been underneath. The entire floor was now encompassed by a slithering wriggling mass of maggots. The smell of decay and rot from whatever they fed on was overpowering. How deep it was you could not judge, but from the looks of it it was a deep pool of maggots without any unoccupied piece of floor visible to stand on.

In this respect taking the wall was probably the best option. "Oh ******!" Jenson exclaimed, not only because of the dirty trap awaiting below, but because the ceiling had started to move. So far it was about an inch per second, it might not stay that way forever. You should consider moving faster, although there might be more surprises.

[Aimi Kaguya]

The moving of the switch beneath his foot went undetected, but it was impossible not to detect the stench. Wafting up from the floor as it split apart, Aimi turned his head to look down below him and beheld the maggots. His stomach turned at both the sight and the overpowering smell and for a brief moment, he had to resist the urge to vomit on the wriggling mass beneath them. The thought crossed his mind to use up some of his chakra burning the stinking pit beneath him, that was of course before Jenson exclaimed his woes at the situation.

Turning to look back at him, the genin would follow his gaze upward to find the ceiling pulling apart as well. What was above them? Would it be a case of as above so below? Aimi certainly didn't want to stick around to find out. "Move!" he cried, turning back towards the end of the hall and their exit out of there and sprinting along the wall. All he knew then and there was that he wanted out of the stinking room, and the door was both of their ways out.

S

lowly the ceiling started to move down. By the time you reached the door it had come down so much that the height of the room had been reduced to two and a half meters. Reaching the door you would come to a terrible conclusion. The door you had seen was not real. The entire thing had been painted onto the wall with metallic paint and only the door knob was real, although it seemed to have been loosely glued to the wall. Guessing by how fast the wall was coming down you would have about six seconds left until the ceiling would reach the torches and thus extinguish them If that were to occur you would be plunged into darkness.

From this side of the room however you could see a keystone in the middle of the barrel vaulted ceiling that looked as if it was easy to pry loose. If you did that it could potentially bring down the entire ceiling, causing it to crash down. You could very well die, buried under the rubble of the ceiling if you did that, but at least it could be a way out. The other option was the maggots. A dangerous move that could be potentially lethal or bathing in maggots, this would arguably be the most difficult decision of your life. And you had to think fast too before you would be fumbling around in the darkness.

Fake. Of course it was fake. They were always fake. He should have seen it coming that it would be a fake door at the end of a clearly treacherous hallway that may or may not have lead to some fantastic reward after all of the effort put into getting to it. Doors were never real in these situations.

Who the fuck paints a door onto a cave wall!?

It was the only clear cut thought that raced through Aimi's mind as the situation became undoubtedly apparent to him. Where to go? Looking up at the accelerating ceiling, he spotted the keystone. A trigger to stop its advance? To send it plummeting down? And what was below them; maggots, something that stank, who knew what else. You didn't have to be a medical ninja to know that whatever was below them was unhygienic and potentially lethal. So what was he to do?

There was no time to debate about it. Soon they'd be in complete darkness anyways. There was only one thing to do. Running up and onto the ceiling, Aimi sprinted towards the keystone. Time was against him, he had to go faster. Unlocking a gate would take too long though - the genin simply had to pump his legs harder. His life could literally hang in the balance, and was he ever scared. Never before on a mission or training had he been in as quite a life threatening situation as this one. The deck was stacked against him and Jenson both, and time was running out.

Practically throwing himself at the keystone, Aimi gripped it in both hands and tried peeling and wrenching it up and away, as was his first thought on what to do with it. If that proved fruitless within the first couple of seconds, he would try to press the keystone like a button, or rather, slam down on it like a button out of desperation. This was potentially it after all. Worst case scenario, the ceiling plummets them down into a pit of maggots and leaves them in complete darkness for... however long. Until they ran out of oxygen, until whatever was beneath the maggots got them if there was anything - too much to think about and wonder. All that Aimi knew was this:

He did not want to die.

Y

ou ran towards the keystone posthaste, it would however prove to be half effective. Without any special type of technique behind your application of strength it would prove not to be enough to pry loose the keystone before the torches were extinguished. Of course to release a keystone you would have to push it up, since the upper end of a keystone was larger than the lower part it would slide up and pulling it down would be impossible. Your but started to touch the maggots when the keystone finally slid upwards out of place. "What are you doing?" Jenson would ask, who had followed you up to the keystone.

Trying to collapse the ceiling however would cause it to go down, whereas your goal would have been to go up if you had wanted to avoid the maggots. Without the keystone the ceiling would become and unstable and crack, falling apart and crashing down into the maggots. A white pus like substance, which consisted out of 100% squashed maggots would fly around, covering you from head to toe. In the darkness you could feel yourself drop down, pummelled by pieces of ceiling that would hurt and bruise you in several places, a particularly big piece would cause a sharp painful sensation in your left leg. The shin was broken. reorientating yourself you found yourself inside the pool of maggots, which covered you from all sides, crawling into every bit of clothing you had, including pants, and all openings on your body which you did not immediately close such as ears and nose. It was hot amongst all the writhing little bodies, but at least you were alive and could breathe. Now it would be time to find your bearings. You would have no idea which direction was even up. How would you cope with this?

[Aimi Kaguya]

The concept of lying in a pit of maggots had never crossed Aimi's mind before. He certainly never expected to be in this situation in his life, that much was certain. Nor did he expect to be in a collapsible room with a stranger in armor he'd met minutes before completely int he dark. Stranger things must have happened to someone else though. The adrenaline pumping through his veins via his rapidly pulsing heart was keeping the pain at bay, so initially he had no clue that his leg was broken or in fact he was injured at all. In fact, he didn't even notice the maggots due to the adrenaline until several seconds in the dark, during which time all he could hear was his breathing and his heart beat.

When he realized where he was though, the sudden onset of sensation was... startling, at best. The wriggling came all at once and all over his body, causing his nerves to practically shiver under his skin. Coughing, Aimi shook his head and sat up slowly, shivering and knocking off a good amount of the maggots off of his clothing. He didn't want to think about the ones in his hair... That's when the pain struck him. Yelping out in sudden pain, Aimi felt that several parts of his body were bumped and bruised, and judging from the pain in his leg, it was broken. Just how bad was it really?

"Jenson!" he coughed, moving his hands down his body (and plucking off any maggots his fingers came across) and feeling his leg to see how extensive the injuries were. His shin was broken, but it didn't feel like the bone had tore through the skin. That was a relief, but it certainly seemed like this was the worst of his injuries... he was lucky. The warm and the dark were overbearing enough, but the pain was just making things miserable. Focusing his chakra, he set to work fixing his broken bone by creating more calcium in his leg and realigning the bone with his hands. For once, not the first or the last time, he was thankful of his heritage, even if he couldn't share it. "You still alive!?"

While he waited for his answer and for his leg to be fixed, Aimi would move his now free left hand over his body to check for what other injuries he had. Bruises and bumps seemed to be the worst of them though, easily healed. He needed to find Jenson though and find out what his condition was. The armor he was wearing could certainly have protected him, but just how much couldn't be known until Aimi got a look at him. Speaking of sight, it was terrible trying to see in this writhing pit. The genin wanted out of the maggots and the dark and this entire situation, but he couldn't accomplish any of that quickly until he could see.

Folding his hands together, he gathered chakra into his throat and took a breath, letting it out slowly into a dull flame before him and giving off a faint light around. His Ghost-light jutsu, very useful for situations just such as this. Looking around him now that he had a small ball of light to look around with, Aimi could see nothing but rubble and maggots. He couldn't even properly see where the wall was from his location. He needed more light, and hopefully he'd find Jenson too. "If you're alive, come towards the light!" Aimi called, the irony not lost on him. Making another quick succession of hand signs, he focused more chakra into the flame and made it brighter so that it would be easier to see and so that he could see better, looking for the wall so that he could get to it and get away from this wriggling demi-flies.

Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light)

Effect: Creates a small ball of flame that can be used to guide someone along or get them lost.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: User must be within a certain distance of the flame depending on their rank or else it will go out and the user will have to cast the jutsu again.
Description: The user makes the handseals and creates a small ball of flame in the air in front of them. The flame doesn't give off much heat at all and is not as hot as other fire. Touching this ball of flame will not burn the person touching it in the slightest. Similarly, the light this flame gives off is incredibly dull in comparison to other flames. When someone other than the user gets within a foot of this flame, it will disappear only to reappear two meters away in any direction, chosen by the user. User must be within twenty meters of the flame to keep it sustained, plus ten meters for every rank the user is above "D".

Description: This jutsu gives the Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light) a stronger and more appealing light, allowing it to be seen easier in the dark and giving off a sense of "warmth" that draws those looking at it closer to the flame. This also allows the Gōsuto Hikari (Ghost-light) to be seen through genjutsu induced darkness, though blinding genjutsu are unaffected. The first time learned the user learns how to actually make the flame more alluring without it being a normal flame. The second time learned the user learns how to project it through genjutsu.

t was as if you were swimming, but then in a mixture of maggots and some pus like paste that was made out of crushed maggots. When you called out Jenson you heard a loud growl, almost animal like to your back left. Whether that was up, down, left or right you could not possibly guess. Considering however that gravity pulled things down if you were to reach him you would probably be going down deeper. Shortly after however a reply came. "I can't, I am stuck here. My arm is broken and I am pretty sure my legs are too. 8&*(^&*%^&$%^&$% MAGGOTS!" his cry indicated that he was a mere few meters away from you, considering you could hear him through all the maggots.

[Aimi Kaguya]

A broken arm, and broken legs. Perfect, absolutely astounding. The actual likelihood of Jenson's claims being true were slim at best. Aimi very much doubted that he had any real medical experience, but what he did know was that he was right to be angry about these maggots. More than anything at that moment, Aimi wanted to be out of them. Easy wanted than achieved. He was practically swimming through them in the dull light, trying to get to the wall so that he could climb up it. Once he was actually there, he pulled himself up and looked around, the dim light of his jutsu giving him at least a little bit of light to see by in the dark cavern.

Seeing Jenson not too far away from where he was, Aimi gave another shiver at the thought of having to get back down in the maggots. All the same, he needed to find out just how bad Jenson's injuries were and if he could fix them. Sucking it up, Aimi let go of the wall and dropped back down into the pit, ignoring the squishing noises. Wading through the filth, Aimi made his way over to the armored man and helped him sit up. "Come on... we've gotta get out of this pit so I can get a look at you... I don't suppose you know any earth jutsu?" Aimi asked, forgetting for a moment Jenson's claim at having a broken arm and thus not being able to use his hands properly. While he waited for an answer, Aimi looked around the cavern for a way out. Since the ceiling had fallen down on top of them, maybe there was a way above they could go?
