[Yoshi [Lynx!]]

"You're a disgrace! Traitor of the sound! They'll have your head, you hear me?!" The girl started threathening as she saw you, her eyes burning with fire itself. Struggling against her shackles in the coffin, she was twitching from side to side trying to get herself loose, to no avail. Eventually giving up and leaning back, as Kyogi walked over.
"I've come here to arrest you, jack----" She was interrupted, as the needle pierced her skin and struck against her kneecap. It wasn't overly painful, only a sting that made her grunt in displeasure. "You're the lowest of low. You've fallen so far you'd torture one of your own to death for amusement?!" The girl spat at Kyogi. "I spit on you. As does all of sound!"

[Kyogi]

Kyogi frowned at the words yelled at him. It seemed the people he was working with had done a good job of putting him in the bingo book. He’d never expected a hunter nin to have gotten so close this quickly though. Kyogi was the only person in this room that knew of his secret mission. Even if he told the ANBU girl it would sound like a lie to her. No one would believe him here. As she spat towards him Kyogi shifted his body so it would fly past him. Anger would be the normal reaction but Kyogi was trying to stay surprisingly calm. ”They just might but you won’t be the one to do it. The needle piercing her skin didn’t do much so he pushed in two more with a bit more force on each side of the initial needle. The others he placed back on the tray.

He did notice a strange item on the tray and grabbed the tongs. With them he picked up a single piece of the dried ice before looking back at the girl. ”Didn’t the ANBU ever tell you spitting is rude?” Moving the dry ice closer to her face he pressed it against her forehead. The ice was still in his grasp as he asked his next question. ”So tell me, what is your name? Maybe I’ll send a letter back to the village telling them of your departure.” Kyogi lifted the tongs up removing the ice from her forehead only a few inches awaiting her reply. His motives were far different than the ones his captors gave him. Kyogi wanted as much information from the girl so when this group was destroyed he knew whom he’d done it for. This girl was not going to live for very long.

A light groan of pain errupted from the girls lips as Kyogi forced the needle through her kneecap. It was quickly replaced by a low laugh. A taunting laugh, almost. As Kyogi placed the ice on her forehead, she merely blinked. It didn't exactly get the effect Kyogi might have wanted, other than cooling her if she had had a fever and making a slight frostbite in the center. Shaking her head from side to side, she laughed. "You really are worthle--" Without any warning, the coffin snapped together from every side, squishing the shinobi inside, splashing a red mixture of blood, flesh and entrails all over Kyogi's person. The stench was horrible. Before Kyogi could really think much about it however, the chains around his arms would suddenly pull, hard, until Kyogi was lying on the floor. From there, he was raised onto a position quite alike the one he had just found his colleague from Sound on. Clasps locked around his feet and neck, he was now entirely immobilised. 

"That was absolutely pathetic. We're unconvinced that you were even trying to hurt her. As thus, you've failed the first test. Since we're generous, we'll be giving you the benefit of the doubt, in that you may just be mentally retarded as Sound Shinobi seem to be utterly trash. So, we'll be giving you a live demonstration of how to torture. Do note, if you fail anything again, even in the slightest, you will be instantly killed."The slightly manic girl from before was back, and the smile on her face was absolutely horrible... Then, she lighted up, almost seeming happy that she got to teach Kyogi the tricks of her trade. Taking one of the tongs, the one Kyogi had left few bits of dry ice on, she held it to one of his finger-nails, closing the metal securely around it. "Lesson one: Pain." Pulling hard, she'd rip the entire nail out, with root and everything. The shards of ice dripping into the wound immediately, creating a burning sensation of cold. Dropping the nail onto the floor, she then happily mused. "Maybe you're in need of a manicure."

[Kyogi]

Kyogi wasn’t very good at this. He could tell from the responses he was getting but he had never been trained in torture. Hell he’d only experienced psychological torture once never physical. His “victim” almost seemed to be enjoying herself and was about to say something when the coffin suddenly collapsed upon itself. Blood and guts splattered out and onto him but almost immediately the chains on his arms pulled back. A mixed reaction from the woman’s death and being pulled caused him to yell, ”Holy shit!” As he hit the ground hard. Not hard enough to lose consciousness but still quite painful. He could feel clasps lock in as he attempted to shift around. Just as he thought he was free from one cage he was put in another…great.

The woman from before was back but seemed much more evil this time around. Her words were like acid despite them being “generous”. Kyogi paused for a moment in his own thought ”we’re being generous?” It helped to confirm they were not alone but who exactly were his generous captors he wondered. Before the girl even picked up the tongs Kyogi in an angered tone responded back, ”Dammit woman I told you before. I’m a medic, we heal things we don’t torture and break them. I sold secrets not take lives.”

However his response was cut short when the tong was brought to his finger nail. His eyes widened in worry because he knew what was going to come next. Suddenly his finger nail and Kyogi were separated with much force causing his eyes to widen further, and his mouth to gape open before he let out a pained scream. What was worse was than just his bleeding, throbbing finger was the ice dripping onto it kept a steady amount of pain where his fingernail had been.

Kyogi wanted to say something before he possibly lost other nails or body parts. Taking in a deep breath Kyogi tried to calm himself but it wasn't really helping. His brain wasn’t staying very calm and neither was what he said, ”Fuck woman! What the hell did you bring me here for? Was there a reason you took me from the cave?” Kyogi was breathing heavily and was hoping to find some answers. Any information could help him get out of this painful and likely to continue torturing. His adrenaline began to start coursing through his body from the pain. Just how much more was he going to have to endure?

The girl snickered to herself, starting to laugh horribly, clapping her hands in glee as she jumped up and down a little. "Pass tests, get answers. Fail tests, lose head. Besides, I am not done with your punishment. So keep quiet, Captain Dipshit." Without much further wait, she'd bring a hammer down upon first Kyogi's right arm, aiming to break it just below the elbow. As she had landed a solid hit there, she'd move to his left leg, aiming to hammer once over his shin with brute force - once again intending to break his limb. Both hits were severe and brutal in strenght, especially for such a tiny girl. Tilting the hammer on its head, she'd lighten up, and start to talk.

"We're looking for allies. In the Shinobi world there are those who do things by the book, and there are those who don't. Whenever something dark has to be dealt with, our organisation offer our services. We've done jobs for all of the ninja villages. Most are loosely affiliated to the cause, taking jobs because the money are good, or because they need something to while laying low in any of our hideouts. The reason you're here, is because we believe you may be one such loosely affiliated person. Willing to do the dirty jobs when they're needed. Like on your little friend, on the floor over there." She'd state, rummaging through other tools. It seemed like the girl wasn't done.

[Kyogi]

He’d failed to torture one of his own. For a variety of reasons untold to his captor but now he was paying the price of his mercy. It seemed a bit fitting but it hurt like hell. It reminded him of a technique he knew split-pain. However his train of thought was cut short when a hammer was brought down upon his right arm. His mind had been elsewhere and never saw the first blow coming which made it all the more painful as his brain processed what happened. Kyogi let out a pained gasp almost like he’d been hit in the stomach but didn’t have time to recuperate like he had with the finger nail.

A second swing hit him right in the leg. This time Kyogi let out another scream of pain as his breathing continued to get heavier. Sweat began to form on his face it was beginning to become hard to focus. He heard the impacts and felt the bones in his body break it was quite some damage being done to his body. If he had chakra he could simply repair the damage but it was no walk in the park enduring all of it. Kyogi gritted his teeth in an attempt to focus on the words of the demon girl. Any information he could get that might help him later could be invaluable. Kyogi was trying to catch his breath when the girl finished. His eyes stayed focused on her as she looked for more tools. It looked like he had a bit more enduring to do. ”So you work for no one and everyone? All the secrets I sold and I’ve never heard of your organization or other villages hiring rogue nin to do their dirty work. What do you call yourselves? Hell I don’t even know your name, my captor and torturer.”

[Yoshi [Lynx!]]

The hammer swung almost the instant Kyogi opened his mouth and started asking questions again. How could he not have understood that he was meant to keep quiet, if he wanted this torture to end? How could he not have understood that answers wouldn't come until he actually proved he could be trusted. The more he screwed up, the worse it would get, and for now, things were taking a turn for the worse. It impacted straight onto the back of his left hand. The aim was to break as many fingers as possible, and hopefully the hand too. Folding seals like that would be difficult, and even a Medical Ninja couldn't do too much without the ability to properly mold chakra. The girl was starting to look furious.
"Listen, dipshit. You're in our house. In our house, we play by our rules. It seems like you really haven't got a single thing left to live for. Is that it? Do you want me to bash your skull in, dipshit?!.. Look, if you're not interested, thats fine. We have no need for you anyway. The whole trying to gather information without revealing anything yourself is getting really annoying to me, and my patience is running out. So answer this. Do I dump you into the snow to fend for yourself with those wounds, or do you have any interest in gaining a proper life?!"

[Kyogi]

His eyes bulged his mouth gapped open from the pain as he let out a small noise much quieter than before perhaps because he’d been bracing for something. However he could feel the bones in his hands shatter just like the ones in his arm and leg. This needed to end soon even someone like him who’d been through stressful times couldn’t take all of this beating. Worse yet the girl was getting angrier. A rather simple question was asked of him one he knew the answer to without a moment’s thought. ”I want to live. I'll do whatever it takes to get a proper life. Please don't leave me out there.” He tried to keep it short and sweet this time around. No need to make things even worse than he’d already had. His body had already taken so much punishment.

[Yoshi [Lynx!]]

The girl stretched to her full lenght. "You've failed once. By my organisation I have the right to end your life. However, your plea for life and willingness to seek a proper life has convinced me to give you another chance. Lick your wounds, even I do not know when your next trials begin. I suggest you keep to the light. There's no telling what may lurk for you in the darkness of this room..." With that, the girl disappeared into the darkness of the room... Before long, the shackles that kept Kyogi down were released from his arms. Though, with the woundss he had it'd be difficult to even begin recouperating... At least he wasn't pinned down anymore, so that was a bonus. Now, he was  left there quietly and silently. What was he going to do?

[Kyogi]

He’d been spared, for now at least. Kyogi felt a bit of relief flow through him when the shackles that bound him were released. He felt his flow of chakra return. At least for a moment he had peace and he needed to use it wisely. Kyogi had taken a lot of damage failing the first test. Feeling out the pain his right elbow and entire left hand was broken. Kyogi’s left leg was also broken he could deal with the pain of the missing finger nail for now there were more important matters.

His body was battered and broken but he had to go on! Kyogi tried to pushed his upper body up with his right hand his elbow was in bad condition. In one quick movement Kyogi sat up he couldn't lay around anymore. Kyogi was still in the light so he should be okay for a little. With Kyogi’s chakra returning he bit down on his lip to try and ignore the pain his body was in. The diverted pain helped him to lift up his right arm and move chakra through it. It was difficult to make the movements but chakra was able to flow into his right hand. As it gathered his hand glowed with the chakra. Kyogi moved his hand gently on top of his left hand using his healing skills to repair the bones broken in the left hand. The throbbing pain was more than enough of an indicator of where he’d been struck. The hand had been broken but with his mastery of the medical arts he could even fix his own bones. It took a bit longer since he was self-healing but his left leg would be the first of his body parts healed.

After fixing his left hand he could use it to heal as well. The elbow would be faster to heal than his hand because so many bones in the hand had been broken. Shifting the chakra from right hand to left hand Kyogi repaired the broken elbow quickly. Feeling his arms in better condition Kyogi finished the full body heal repairing the broken knee. Soon he’d complete the full body healing. Although not 100% Kyogi was certainly doing better than he had before.

With his body fixed he realized what else would be happening with his chakra restored. Kyogi’s ability to sense evil happened and it was quite clear what type of area he was in. What Kyogi was more concerned about was his aura that would quickly be filling the area around him. Whatever trials awaited him Kyogi presumed the “testers” wouldn’t approve of his good aura. However he’d have to deal with that when it happened. With his left leg, left hand and right elbow repaired Kyogi stood from the ground glancing at the light. He decided talking wouldn’t be wise yet seeing as what trouble it had gotten him into. He’d simply try to mentally prepare for the next challenge.

The sound that reached Kyogi's ears would make anyone who was already scared feel their heart beat faster. Steps on cold stone, clicking and echoing against whatever was out there in the dark. Then, the sound of a wooden cane, clacking to support the weight of whoever was coming closer. It was painfully slow, yet there was no doubt that the direction was towards Kyogi. The breathing reached Kyogi second. A raspy old breath, followed by a low chuckle, then a cough, in a rotation that seemed beyond anything that made sense... Thats when a voice spoke to him.

"Kyogi..." The voice reached him, as a man that by all means looked like he had rounded a thousand years of age. His wrinkles were so deep that they almost covered his eyes. Wearing garments suitable for those of sand, he was leaning against a wooden cane. There was an uncanny smile upon his lips...
"...You believe you know the difference between good and evil. The difference between right and wrong. I am here to teach you. My name is Hyunbai, my pleasure young man." The old man said, chuckling, followed by a cough. It really did seem like he could die of old age any minute now. It also seemed like he was a kind and gentle spirit. There were no evil intentions about him at all. In fact, to Kyogi, he must've felt as pure as a saint.

[Kyogi]

Kyogi looked around as that sound reached his ears. The area was quite dark but sound traveled where sight did not. A feeling of nervousness overcame Kyogi, it was a natural response when you didn’t know what to expect. It didn’t feel overly evil however. Taking a deep breath Kyogi tried to calm himself down, whoever was coming towards him was taking his sweet time. The hairs on the back of Kyogi’s neck stood up when he heard his name. It wasn’t surprising he knew his name but this was the first person here to refer to him by it.

As he got closer Kyogi was able to see the man who spoke. He was much older than Kyogi had first expected which made sense for his slow pace. Kyogi wanted to relax but everyone here had a purpose and this man just hid his better than others. The man spoke of the difference between good and evil something Kyogi believed to know quite a bit about. Yet this old man, Hyunbai, intended to teach him more. With his age there was likely something he knew that Kyogi was unaware of but why would this group send him here? ”It’s nice to meet someone not trying to break my bones. So what do you have to teach me? I know very little about my current situation. I only know to pass this organization’s tests or my life will end.”

[Yoshi [Lynx!]]

The old man coughed, then smiled widely, giving a vague laugh... "I'm here to teach you about what you have done. I already know about you, you see. Why you truly came here. That is of no importance however. It is time you woke up, and stopped being such a spoiled child - or the true darkness will consume you." With that, the old man gently tapped Kyogi's forehead. Everything inside Kyogi's vision went blurry, and even the darkness disappeared...

When Kyogi came to, it was to the sound of a small child crying, with a woman trying to carefully huss it down, caressing it within her arms. They were both in the same room as him. He was laying on a blanket on the floor, his vision still blurry. The more time passed, the more Kyogi's senses sharpened. It was an old wooden shack, the floor creaking with every gentle nudge of the calm wind. Waterdrops were dripping through the floor into buckets placed around the little house, making a distinct little plop every time they fell. The shack was but one room. The kitchen was just a pile of overly-used plates and pots in a corner. The fireplace was outside, so nothing could even be cooked in the rain...
"Emiel, you're finally awake!" He heard the womans voice, as she came over and embraced Kyogi, her eyes shining, reflecting.. Kyogi wasn't himself. He was in the body of a person he had met long ago. A person whom he had killed. A terrorist! The voice of the woman was gentle, sweet. "I was afraid you'd never come back to us.." In that moment, a painful flashback went through Kyogi's mind. A flashback that clearly wasn't his own, yet he was within the body experiencing said flashback.

A man gave Kyogi a bag of gold. "We want you to accompany the crew to board the ship. It is valueable to us. For your services, we give you these up front. If you fail, not only will you die, but your pathetic little family will get butchered aswell. Don't think we won't find you if you run." The bag had plenty of coins, enough to let a small family live decently for a while. It seemed that the person whom Kyogi was seeing the memories of, had been forced into actions to protect his loved ones...

Everything shifted, as Kyogi sat on the floor in front of the old man, pain running through his body at an intense rate. It was like a seething heat, burning him up from inside. The old man chuckled.. "Learning usually is painful. You should be aware of what I have just shown you. Do you want to learn more?" The choice was his.

[Kyogi]

Kyogi had an eerie feeling move through him seeing the wide smile and hearing the laugh. ”I already know about you, you see. Why you truly came here.” He froze where he stood worried, even if this man didn’t care why he was here did he let the others know? Before Kyogi could ask any questions the man tapped his forehead and everything disappeared. A sound woke him up a child however everything was still hazy to him. Where had he gone? This had to be some trick by the old man, possibly genjutsu. When his senses finally came back to him Kyogi was able to take everything in and it was then that he wasn’t himself. So the question was, “who is Emiel?”

When he was embraced by the woman Kyogi tried to not look surprised but this change of body and scenery was hard to get used to. ”I was afraid you’d never come back to us..” More questions filled Kyogi’s head, where would he have gone? What had happened last time to this guy Emiel? Just like with the old man Kyogi had little time to contemplate. A painful feeling shot through his head before him he was seeing the past. How could someone force someone else’s memories upon him? Kyogi’s curiosity kept him watching, trying to figure out why this man was being shown to him and why everything hurt so much.

The flashback was strange it started with a transfer of money to him. Aggressive orders were given along with the money. What surprised Kyogi were the details of the mission. It had been a while but Kyogi still had distinct memories of his mission on the boat in the lightning country. Could this man really have been one of the men aboard? Kyogi was seeing a whole new perspective but he needed to know more. This man was being coerced by people he didn’t recognize. However the flashback faded and before him he saw the old man again.

There was an immense amount of pain flowing through him which caused Kyogi to cringe the moment he came out of the flashback. This was not one simply of the head but through his entire body. Kyogi gasped in pain before taking a deep breath trying to endure the sensations. ”I’ve never felt pain reliving someone’s memories before. This man you showed me was forced to ride aboard the ship. Why? How is he related to me?” Kyogi was heating up and couldn’t figure out why. The man had asked a question and Kyogi wanted to know more, ”Show me more.”

[Yoshi [Lynx!]]

"Very well. However, this time, the learning experience will come from inside yourself.." Kyogi's forehead was touched again, and once more everything around him warped, before it turned dark...

It was stormy weather, and from above the rain was hailing down. The ground below Kyogi, in his alternate body, rocked from side to side. The wood absolutely soaked. All around him, there was water, he was on a boat. A boat that he would remember every single detail of. "They're coming!" Was shouted from outside, as a band of shinobi boarded the ship. Thoughts, that weren't Kyogi's own, were racing through his mind. Was he going to surrender, hoping the shinobi were going to understand his situation? Was he going to explain to them his family's situation and ask them for mercy..? Was he going to fight, and commit a crime in order to protect the people he loved..? Looking at his own hands, the man made a choice. To surrender, to give up, and encourage the others to do the same.

As he got out on the deck however, things changed immediately, as the entire crew was under attack. They were dying left and right to a brutal assault, that seemed to leave no survivors. Cold, efficient killing machines... The memory shifted.. In front of Kyogi, on the boat, Kyogi saw himself. They were standing, face to face. The only thoughts running through his mind was that he needed to survive, for the sake of the family. He wanted to surrender, but the others didn't even see his desperation. Kyogi found himself able to move the mans body. He had a choice to make. Was he going to fight the memory himself, believing that this man was doing justice... Or was he going to attempt a surrender..?

[Kyogi]

Kyogi’s main question ”How is he related to me?” was quickly answered as he drifted back into the past of this man. Looking around at the environment that encompassed him Kyogi recognized the boat he was on. A feeling of nervousness entered his mind as he thought back as to what went down upon this ship. On the boat he was alone when he heard someone shout ”They’re coming! Looking around he heard the thoughts of the man he was in. The man was scared, worried, and confused unsure of what to do. The man wanted to surrender seeing the damage Kyogi and his partner were doing to the men on the ship.

Arriving on the deck Kyogi froze in the body he was in. Ahead of him was Kyogi, it was himself! It was then that Kyogi realized he was on the captured boat. The one he’d previously saved for the good of several villages. Yet this man was in a different situation. The man he controlled had a back story he Kyogi hadn’t known at this time. Was it even possible to change the past that he was seeing now? Kyogi had acted before the man he was now could even react. However now they were standing face to face. The situation was frustrating he was mad at the man he controlled but also infuriated by the men whom coerced him into this situation.

If this man was whom he thought it was he was plenty powerful. Kyogi thought of courage to make his scared body ready itself for the fight. If this man was going to survive and see his family again then he would have to fight. Kyogi would use the man to quickly create handseals. The seals ended with him holding the rabbit seal. A wall of pure chakra would form between Kyogi and the man on the boat. If this memory was the right one Kyogi knew what attack was coming and that was what worried him.

Description: By focusing a large amount of chakra in front of you while focusing your faith into your chakra, your chakra hardens into a physical wall capable of defending against up to one A ranked attack before shattering. You must form the handsigns and then focus on the area that will be protected. Building from the middle and taking a second to fully form, a solid and visible wall of chakra will appear in front of the user for six seconds before simply disappearing. If you hold the final ‘Rabbit’ handsign, you may supply the chakra from the wall to continue standing and may repair the wall when damaged (meaning nothing less than an A ranked attack will harm it) and you may also move the wall at a walking pace through the air. The maximum dimensions of the wall are 10’ tall by 10’ wide (the dimensions are interchangeable, for example, 12’ by 8’,) and may be curved, square, triangular, or even more difficult walled constructions; as long as they fit within the 10’ x 10’ maximum of the inch thin chakra wall.
Limit: Must be a member of Kaishaba. Must know 純粋な本質 Seijou-Jisshitsu (Pure Essence). Must also hold the ideal of Pacifism.

As Kyogi started the defensive technique, suddenly his body froze, midways forming seals. Tears were dripping from the mans eyes, as thoughts once again pertruded his mind. I cannot fight a shinobi. I just want to protect my family! The man opened his mouth, started to fall to his knees, wanting to beg for forgiveness for him and his loved ones... "I---" The first word didn't even get to leave his lips, as a thousand needles of air pierced his body in every which direction. Kyogi felt the intense pain, the scream of agony...

As he landed on the ground, only one thought coursed through his mind. His family.. The blood gushed from his wounds, as the Kyogi in the memory just walked off, as if nothing had happened, mission complete. The image the man had of his family was slowly fading away. The pain was slowly disappearing, turning dark... Please... let me see... my family...... Then Emiel died. Kyogi felt how the heart stopped beating, a panic, for only a moment... The image of the family, disappeared forever.

Kyogi was on his knees, coughing blood in front of the old man. His mind had convinced his body that the memory was so real, that some of the damage Emiel, whom he had been within, had taken, had been directly translated to his real body... "...You're misguided in your zealotry, Kyogi-san. You've been doing evil all this time, without even stopping to ask what you've been doing. Shame on you, boy.." The old man wheezed. What was Kyogi feeling now..?

His plan halted mid-way. Kyogi had tried to make his body and mind brave and yet he was crying out of fear. His mind was entirely on his family and protecting them. It was all he wanted in the world. Kyogi couldn’t control this man anymore. Falling to his knees his eyes widened watching the incoming needles piercing his body. A scream of pain and a thud from his body hitting the ground. The thought, the memories of this man’s family would course through his head as he watched himself walk away from the dying man.

When the man was finally at rest Kyogi awoke from his dream state coughing blood onto the floor. He was startled to see the blood on the floor worried just how much damage his body had taken. It didn’t feel too bad but what could these memories due to him if he’d stayed much longer? They were dangerous indeed. "...You're misguided in your zealotry, Kyogi-san. You've been doing evil all this time, without even stopping to ask what you've been doing. Shame on you, boy.." Anger filled Kyogi’s mind hearing the way the man spoke about him. The anger was caused from a combination of frustration and physical injury. However it took more than words to get Kyogi seriously pissed off. Kyogi paused thinking about how to respond to the old man. This short pause also gave him time to calm down.

”…there can be no good without evil. My zealotry was not the reason I took this mission. I’m angry because the man I killed was forced into his situation. I chose to take this mission as part of bringing two villages together. I’m angry because our intel told us barely anything about the boat let alone the organization who forcibly hired this man, Emiel, who I murdered without a moment’s thought. From what I knew this man was stealing and planning to harm several villages. So it was my duty to stop them not ask questions.” Kyogi paused in his rant to glance at the old man. He’d been staring at his blood stain upon the ground while talking.

When his eyes focused on the man he spoke again, ”Are you trying to show me that good and evil is simply perspective? For the Lightning village I was doing good but to a man who just wanted to live to see his family I was a terrible demon whom struck him down. The past is important to learn from like you’ve shown me, a new perspective. However to move forward I can’t dwell there too long. Emiel was paid to do a job and so was I. He was forced, I willingly accepted it. Our sides are a bit different but I did what I signed up for. What do you want from me?”
