Nindao is a Naruto Text based Role Playing site that seeks to do new things. Created by experienced role players Nanosuke, Xesna, and Ryuichi, Nindao is designed to be a flexible game that people can casually play, with a depth for those who enjoy that kind of thing. Elements have been adopted from all types of RPG's, from forum rp's to triple A MMO's. Here a just some of the things we do differently.
In the world of ninja there has always been war. Far from the homeland of the Rikudo Sennin this remains true on the peninsula. In the last few centuries the way of the ninja has been all but forgotten. The last shinobi civil war ended with the Schism, an event that resulted in the loss of the ability to manipulate chakra for the population on the peninsula.
Since then, several generations have been born and the reemergeance of ninja has begun. Growing up in the shadow of war, the elder generation have kept their nations from conflict hoping that peace could be reached, but their fear of war has lead to monstrous tension. LOST, or Limitation Of Shinobi Treaty, was signed by the founders of Shokugakure and Kakougakure to place limitations on training ninja. The treaty prevented the devastating bloodshed of the past, but it did little to prevent smaller battles.
The treaty lasted 30 years until the assassinations of the founders pushed tension to the boiling point. Recently a refined LOST II was signed by the newly elected village leaders, effectively preventing all organized conflict by both parties, but it is too early to know if this will help. All that is certain is that we live in the time of the Ninja Cold War.

Introduction
Nindao is a Naruto Text based Role Playing site that seeks to do new things. Created by experienced role players Nanosuke, Xesna, and Ryuichi, Nindao is designed to be a flexible game that people can casually play, with a depth for those who enjoy that kind of thing. Elements have been adopted from all types of RPG's, from forum rp's to triple A MMO's. Here a just some of the things we do differently.
- Minimalist Design: Cuts right to the more interesting aspects of being a ninja: Story and Combat.
- New setting: A map to the west and a world 200 years in the past.
- Open Source History: Anyone can write sections of our history in order to fill in gaps. The open source model allows grants us the ability to communally create a massive amount of content.
- New Concepts: Demons, majutsu, new elemental releases, and over 250 new jutsu made to fill in the martial history of our site. In addition, there are more in the works for expansion material down the line.
- Revamps of Canon Concepts: Some concepts have been redesigned, such as a Byakugan-less version of Gentle Fist Taijutsu. Other jutsu have been organized into fighting styles, and Genjutsu as a whole has been organized into categories.
- Cause and Effect: Everything you do effects the world and story, but with every action there is a reaction. Just as you can choose to do whatever you want, so too can the players around you.
- Myth Arc: Stories existing at multiple levels, from simple character plots designed by the players, to story arcs that cover major events, to a myth arc spanning the length of the full scale Ninja Cold War.
