Muu walked through the deserted park in Yukigakure, snow was falling off some nearby tree branches with plops onto the ground. The sun was out, like really out today which was strange for Yukigakure or anywhere up here in the north. There was typically a thick layer of white clouds covering the sky like a sheet obscuring the sun in a white veil. But not today, bust still life was not all that abundant, after all it was still frigidly cool outside. But the emptiness of the park would suit Muu today, he was here for a change of pace, a new setting to practice a fairly easy concept of a jutsu he'd recently learned.
Earlier this week Muu had learned the shushin no jutsu, which essentially allowed him to travel short distances at incredible speeds. Although he was still fairly new to the technique, he figured he'd only get better through practice and elaboration with the skill. Which brought him here today. He knew the shushin was fairly limited, on his part by how many times he could preform it physically a day, and the other was because of the great speed. He debated this as he walked through the shoved path, he could only use the Shushin to move a few meters forward at the movement. But what if he could move in any direction at that speed?
Thus he was here to attempt to move in other directions with the jutsu. He stopped, putting his back to the snow covered field, double checking there was nothing that could obstruct his path for a good twenty. meters at least. Then he took his hands from his pockets, and gathered chakra around his ankles mainly, and willing the chakra to coat his feet. He was trying a quick release, facing forward, he abruptly released his chakra, flexing his muscles adn ankles to jump backward instead of the typical forward.
He felt the sudden pull, the free feeling he felt when traveling at such incredible speed, but for less time then he should. The sensation was cut short by the rush of the ground as he landed on his butt and skirted to a stop a few meters from where he'd started. It seemed instead of going straight back, he had been angled down somehow. He pursed his lips and gave his knee a thump as he rose to his feet. He patted off the snow and dirt from his rear and planted his feet for another try.
The chakra flowed quickly to his ankles, feet, and legs in general. It was becoming easier to do so, almost like a memory or after though which meant his body was getting accustomed tot he technique. This he assumed to be a very good thing, and hoped it meant in the future or in a tight spot it'd be easier to call upon the jutsu to save his skin. The pulsing power in his ankles was his single that he was ready, and with a flex of his ankles in a pushing back motion, he was once again in the tunnel like blur that was the high speed of the shushin. The world faded away, and in that moment, he was again in bliss. Quiet and weightless he flew in space and his mind basked in the sensation as if his face was washed in warm sunlight.
Then he was on the ground, falling quickly into a crouch. It was only a few meters, maybe six or seven he guessed from where he'd started, but he had landed correctly, on both his feet, and there was only a slight pulse in his feet and ankles. He was getting use to the power of this jutsu after all. There was only room to improve though, this was no where near the full range of the jutsu, and he'd be dammed if he was a slacker in one of the critical shinobi abilities. Speed was his friend, speed would keep him alive.
