While Emi allowed all of the colors dry, he thought that he could just well continue on with the next piece of the items, the walkie talkie. It was something that he had seen and even been able to work on before, so the blueprints weren't very special to him. Most of the components were self-explainable and he expected it to be the easiest piece. What he appreciated however was that the blueprint appeared to have a far superior antenna towards the ones he normally used. Since the sensor tower would be quite far away and he would need to make sure that the voices carried along the distances, it was crucial that the antenna did its part. What worried him however was how he were supposed to make sure that the antenna didn't attract electrical storms, as that would be able to destroy not only the walkie talkie, but the camera it was attached on.

So he figured that he would coat it in a layer of rubber, but worried what that would do to the signal. After some more thinking, he decided that he would have the antenna conducted to the ground, so if anything electrical hit it, the overload would not ruin anything else but the antenna. The fact that it would mean that the walkie talkie would need to manage without an antenna until repaired didn't bother him that much as he knew it could be done quickly, what made him concerned was however how often it would have to be done, rain constantly had thunders after all. Emi then determined that he would have all of the walkie talkies on the ground level, to make sure that there were little to no chance for them getting hit.

Since he was so accustomed with the new device, he decided to build the inner parts first, and then move on to the shell. That was so he could build a more fitting one as he didn't want the walkie talkie to take more space than necessary. He also measured the camera to see where he would be able to have those walkies that were supposed to be add-ons. As the cameras would be re-fitted, he sketched the real version up and placed the walkie on the lower right side. There it wouldn't be in the way regardless of way the camera spun around and yet be able to take in most, if not all sounds. Emi then made the quick process to put all the components together, making sure to be as effective with the space as possible while still trying to avoid them touching.

When he noticed that a few of the components were a little too close to each other, Emi added in a small sheet of rubber in between them to make sure they wouldn't affect each other. The process went quickly and within minutes he had made the inner parts of the walkie-talkie and began to make the shell. He sculpted out the basic shape of the place it was going to be attached to, so he could better shape the plastics. The only thing that would be looking odd from the shape would be the antenna, which he had follow the basic structure of the camera and up on the top of it. Since it finally looked a little awkward to him to see the antenna break the cameras perfect symmetry, he added another layer to the camera, just to hide the path of the antenna.

That forced him to go and get the colors from before as the previous coloring had become completely hidden. He sighed as he had the brush walk around on the pieces, if there was anything he disliked to do while making items, it was to redo parts of the work. To make it less tedious, he added in a little black in the pattern as well. It didn't make it any better, but then he could feel like he actually were getting somewhere. When Emi had put on the final piece of colors and poked a little on the antenna, he suddenly realized that the hidden antenna would be close to impossible to remove without making a drastic operation. Since he still hadn't applied the grounding cable, he slapped his forehead and sighed even louder than he had done before. Was he getting tired or was he only distracted?

He decided that he would skip fixing that version of the camera and wait to correct it until he made the other ones. Just to make sure that he didn't forget it he wrote it down on a post-it note and placed it fairly close to the center of the camera blueprint. Emi then thought that it would be the time to make a few more objectives, as he still had several ones left to do. By just looking up on the wall, he could confirm that. But he quickly decided that he wanted to start doing the nightvision objective as that was the one he had heard about before. But what did it actually do? He wondered and walked up to the wall to observe the blueprint. By sending out some special light, he would be able to see things by catching up the light?

The theory sounded quite easy but the technology was all the more advanced, most likely the most advanced one he had ever followed. So he started off with just sitting down and analyzing all the connections and the general purpose of all of them. A couple of times he even needed to get some deeper informations from his smith book. When he considered himself confident in knowing how the objective was supposed to work, he brought out all of the components and placed them in order. To start it off calm and easy, he took the diod and connected it to a resistance before soldering it to an electric cable. Since the diod was a special-made version, it produced a high spectral light that he was barely able to see. But as it was supposed to be completely invisible to the human eye, he changed the properties of it slightly until he finally was not able to detect anything coming from it.

Then when hd considered the lamp to be done, he placed those components to the side after removing them from the current. He then looked over the schematics once more before he drew a big breath and began with the hard part. Since he qas so unfamiliar with the technology he allowed it to remain the same size it was on the blueprint. Emi took some assistance from a hand-stabilizer as there were so many small soldering parts throughout the objective. What still confused him a little was the cross-sections of resistances that reduced the current, yet went back together later. Wouldnt it be easier to just put a stronger one there?

The boy wondered. But since wasn't sure, he didnt dare to make the change to the device. When most of the parts were finished, he put them next to each other while massaging his wrist, he still had a lot of work ahwad of himself and yet he was starting to feel so broken. So get some variation to his strained body, he adjusted his seating and continued with the soldering using his left hand. It was a lot clumsier as he didnt have the same dexterity in it. But the boy was able to keep up a fairly impressed pace none-the-less. When the inner parts were done, he combined them with the parts for the lamp, so they would use the same energy source and be turned on/off at the same time.

The shape of the shell was however not what he had expected from such a piece, it was almost as if it was a completely different device instead of an extension to the camera. So the young boy decided that he wanted to divert from the blueprint yet again and made a couple of parts that he swiftly put together. Despite that he had made sure that the components would fit in it, he had to struggle a little to get in the light as it constantly got stuck in every bottleneck. So he finally removed it from the rest of the parts and put them into the shell before he reached in and attached the lamp again. The angle was quite important for it, so he adjusted it and placed it at a hole right next to the main vision and screwed it into the hull.

To make completely fit to the camera, he made sure to color it in the exact same pattern as the camera had. It was a little weird for him to paint it however as the same was far from smooth, making the pattern look strange. So he changed his mind and made so the pattern would only be seen if one was more than one meter away. That made it require some more planning and a base sketch to work from. Even though it did appear like it was overkill, Emi hoped that it wasn't, that the camouflage actually did help in the long run. When he was done, it looked quite strange to him in the badly lit room, but he added in a couple of small details to the overall appearance to make it disappear slightly more into the background. Emi then turned on the night vision and looked on the monitor to see if he actually had made so it worked.

Most of the screen was in a very dark grey color and had a small buzzing feeling, like if it was streaming badly. But Emi knew that it was one of the side-effects from the night vision converter, but he made a couple of small adjustments so that it wouldn't be that noticeable. But what worried he the most was that there were very little green that shone up the room. While he moved it around he was able to capture all that he were expecting to see in one frame. So he went back to the basics and tried to understand what it was that limited the view so much. It didn't take him long before he suspected that it had to be the light. So he tried to move it back and forth, to see if he was able to get a bigger or at least a different result on the monitor.

Emi then saw that while he moved the light around, the things lit up on the screen followed the exact same pattern. So he figured that he just needed to apply more light to the environment ahead of the camera. Since the light on the monitor also was a little too bright for his flavor, the way to expand the vision field was easy, to just force the light to shine broader. The solution was to add another layer of glas in front of it that would split up the rays. As he had a lot of unused glass laying around, he took a good piece and reshaped it by grinding it with his machine into a convex shape. When he attached it to the front of the light and put the monitor back on, he saw that there were a massive difference. Sure, everything was harder to see, but the entire screen was visible on the monitor without any real disturbance or unnecessary large dark spots.

The fact that it still was a little hard to see, he decided to make sure that there were no way anything could hide itself from the scan. So he made another three lights and put them all in the remaining three sides before trying to cover up their location as much as possible. That meant that he once more would need to draw on the camouflage colors, but he waited with that as he suspected that he would need to do it more times later. When he tried the camera out again, he was almost blinded by the flashy green light coming from the monitor screen. The boy exclaimed as he shut of the monitor and tried to blink away the black blur. That bright light was way too strong and he knew that it wasn't necessary for even the most detailed ninja search. So he added in a function in the lights that made it possible to remotely lower or heighten the strength of each of the lights.

Emi then tried it out in different ways to make sure that the adjustment would work regardless of how much electricity the camera got, or from which source. Then he figured that he could just as well move on to the infra-red camera, as it worked very similar to the night-vision one. But since he didn't want to dissemble the basically complete camera he had in front of himself, he instead began to make another one. Since he knew exactly what was in it and where he wanted everything, it took just a couple of minutes to finish it. When he added the hull to the camera he remembered the ideas he had on the previous one and applied it to his new one. That made the second camera a lot smaller and more aesthetically pleasant. The overall color was made slightly brighter than the previous one as he thought that he had over exaggerated a little with how hidden it would be if it was just dark. The new result was a lot better and Emi immediately felt proud of his accomplishment, that right there was something that he knew the village would want.

At first he was a little indecisive on how he wanted the infra-vision to look, parts of him wanted it to look just like the night-vision, but other parts said no. There were both pros and cons, as it would be easier to maintain if they looked different, but it would be harder to disable the necessary ones while invading if they looked the same. So after some pickering with himself, he decided that he wanted them to look the same. It didn't take him much effort to copy the shell of the night-vision as he had all of the measurements and forms in front of himself, but he had to wait to weld them together until he knew how much space the components would take. So he brought out all of them on the desk. Most of them were exactly like the ones he already had used, and the most different thing was the parts for the light. Emi then found it most critical that he got to familiarize himself with that first, so he turned to the blueprint and looked for the lights.

The technology wasn't that far off as he had suspected, which made it so much easier to learn. So Emi actually finished his first infra-red objective without any hick-ups within a few minutes of finishing the reading. The trial was however not the same as with the night-vision as he had few things that he could actually look at. So he aimed it through the window, to see if anyone was walking by. Since he was expecting the lamps to light the screen up a lot, he didn't look straight at it when he noticed it would light up. But for some reason it didn't go too bright, the screen was just extremely consistent and fluent. So he removed the current to two of the lamps, to see if there were any difference. At first he didn't see anything strange with it, but then as he looked out over the city, he saw that there were a lot less activity than it had been before.

When he turned the other lights back on, he saw that a lot of auras reappeared all around the house. Was it at maximum potential, or would he be able to crank it up even further, he wondered and made another two lights. Both of them were quite a lot stronger than the previous lights had been, which was just to try to reach the max. But he found out that the first result was still just as good as the last one. A little disappointed that he wasn't allowed to use his improved lights, he put them to the side and tried out how many lights actually was needed for maximum result. The tries said that it actually only needed two of the lights to work. So he used that to make the standard, but he still made sure to apply the possibility to dampen the strength if needed.

Emi then tried to tweak and test it a few times, but it never actually got improved, so he figured he could just as well move on. So he looked through the list of all the items that he still needed to do. Only one of them appeared to still be hard to do, the Canny descrier. The difficult part wasn't to make the necessary lenses and the needed tech, but to make the camera be able to send all the correct signals and then have the monitor calculate what they meant. The blueprint only showed the physical parts and suggested paths to go on the programming, which made him quite frustrated. But he didn't have the luxury to be angry, so he quickly finished off the technical path and tried to make a few improvements if he found the possibility to do so. He then sighed loudly as he plugged in the canny descrier into the monitor and started up the console.

The first code was basically to just follow the instructions on the basics, like what he would expect as incoming values. Then he tried to see what he actually would be able to use them for, but as he already knew, the facts from the blueprints were lacking. So he closed his eyes and imagined all of the possible facial expressions that he had learned while training on his acting, what was required to fool someone to think you felt something. Emi then wrote up a list on each possible expression and made sure to add as much possible details about lying as he could, since that would be the one thing it would be the most crucial against. When he was finished, he had written almost ten pages full of information on how the emotions look and could be fooled.
