"Recognizing the different herbs of the Arctic region is incredibly important." Sano began as she led her daughter into her private hut nearby, still in the tundra. "But you have to also know how to use them." The experienced medic continued with a grin as she produced the different herbs from her large bag, placing them along the surface of the main table that took most of thespace in the hut. Nieve knew that this hut served only one purpose, it was where her mother worked on her herbalism. Sano first took the Bastit, Nieve instantly recognized it due to its color. Pinkish petals, the different tips were of a darker red. It had the odd smell that the blue haired kunoichi was not sure yet if she liked or not. "You must crush it just so." Sano explained.

Placing the flower-like plant in a small pot, the dark haired kunoichi began rubbing the petals onto the its surface, crushing the petals into a fine pace.

Nieve smelled the knew concoction. It still possessed its potent smell. She remembered its use, it could be use to repel insects. It was quite useful, but not necessarily in the Land of Snow. Without speaking, Sano took more of the Bastit they had gathered and placed it in a mortar. She handed her daughter the pestle and let her get to work. The young medic began grounding the flower, forcing the pestle to shred the small plant. It was quite easy she figured. "Slower." Sano said gently as she placed both of her delicate hands upon her daughter's, helping her gently create circles with her wrists to crush the flower. Soon, it was in a fine paste and the room smelled of insect repellent.

"So, what does this do?" Nieve's mother asked as she reached back into her bag, producing the long, familiar herb. The blue haired medic ninja remember of course what it was. With her eidetic memory she remembered precisely the moment previously when they had both been in the tundra. "Elvish Galingale." Nieve began calmly. The five feet tall plant was hard to miss, that was for sure. She tried to remember what its use was. Sano had taught it to her mere moments ago, soon it came flooding back into her mind, she knew exactly what it was used for. Before Sano said anything, Nieve reached out and grabbed a small pot and filled it with water. She started a flame beneath it, knowing fully well what she was doing. Sano smiled to herself, letting Nieve doing what she believed was needed to be done. If she did make a mistake, Sano knew that Nieve would be learning from it. But deep down, Sano knew that Nieve rarely did any mistakes.

Once the water was boiling, Nieve added the plant within. She had to slice it into a few pieces so that it would fit.

She stirred the boiling pot until it was one uniform, bubbly liquid, the plant having melted into the boiling water to create a potion. "What does it do?" Rokoku, Sano asked, curious to remember what Nieve had taken out of their private lesson.

The blue haired kunoichi knew the answer of course. She remembered what the concoction did, and even remembered the different applications that could do. "Once boiled and drank, it speeds up blood flow." Nieve explained calmly. The dark haired medic made her daughter repeat the process a few times, this time taking it slowly, making sure that Nieve did not boil it too much or the plant would lose all of its nutrients. By stirring it slowly as well, it made sure that the mixture was at maximum potency. The young medic seemed to like taking her time with this. She had the nature of a research, a woman who enjoyed studying and noting everything that was needed when doing something. This was precisely what she enjoyed doing.

"Mother, you know Genjutsu, right?" Nieve asked calmly as she sat upon one of the three seats that was within the small hut in the heart of the tundra. "I have to learn how to resist it, I have no natural defences against it." Nieve admitted. It was part of the training to admit one's weaknesses, and it was only by doing this that she could start working on her weak spot. Genjutsu.

"Of course dear. Let us train your Iron Will." Sano explained calmly as she gently caressed her daughter's cheek. "Remain concentrated on the window. I have a Genjutsu that works against the concentration, breaking it." Nieve's mother explained calmly. The young medic nodded confidently. She knew she had no resistant to begin with. But she would do this, she would pull it off. Looking out the window kept her attention toward it. When her mother's hand began a flurry of hand seals, she did not even look, her gaze resolute upon the prize. But soon she felt something tugging at her eye sight, something at the corner of her periphery that just cried for her attention. Nieve turned her head to her mother, questioning what was going on. "FAILED!" Sano declared in a voice that was loud, but still soothing in a way that only she could pull off. The blue haired kunoichi did not really understood why she had failed until she remembered the purpose of the training.

She returned her gaze to the window. Nieve would dedicate her whole self to it. The medic knew her mother was working on a string of hand seals. But still she did not look, all of her body invested in what was before her. She took deep breaths, holding the gaze upon the window, never looking at her mother. What was agonizing with this training was that she never truly knew when the technique began. Her mind began playing tricks on itself, making her believe that she was seeing things that were not there. Then it came. She felt something pulling at the very fabric of her concentration. She focused on the window, not wanting to turn her gaze toward what seemed to be pulling it to the side. She repeated within her mind the word window. But then her thoughts instantly went to her training of that day, and her concentration was broken. Knowing instantly that she had failed she lowered her eyes to the ground.

Sano dumped a bucket full of water atop her daughter, stealing a cry of surprise out of her thin lips. "FAILED!" The mother cried out.

"Fine, fine, fine I will concentrate harder!" Nieve cried out as she wiped her face, removing her hat. She felt the cold water soak her clothing, letting in the cool air. Still she returned her gaze to the window, not wanting to lose any time. And now that she had been under the genjutsu twice, she knew that she could resist it this time. Nieve did not doubt that there were other buckets filled with water hidden around the hut. She focused her mind on the window. Focusing her eyes on its clear surface. Again the hand seals at the corner of her eye. She prepared herself, her hands tightening around the base of her seat. She did not want to break her concentration, but Nieve was already straining her attention. The young medic felt a certain dryness along her throat. She coughed out, it instantly broke her concentration and she turned her attention toward her mother. She felt the contents of an even bigger bucket dump itself upon her face. For a moment she believed herself under a powerful waterfall.

She did not speak, too mad to put a word in front of the other. Shaking her head like a dog, she sent water flying in all direction before concentrating back onto the window, she would not get distracted, she would never get distracted again.

Her will was of iron.

Opened her big blue eyes, she set them upon the window. There was nothing special about it, the view it gave was of white snow and nothing else. Yet in that moment it was the most important thing in the room. As she still dripped water and was frozen to the bone, she kept her concentration on the window. Squinting her eyes, Nieve shut off her mother, not wanting to see her work on those hand seals. The window was her whole life. She concentrated her will upon it. Soon the young medic felt the familiar nudge upon her senses. That tingling feeling that she willed her to want to look elsewhere than where she was currently looking. It was an annoyance, the biggest annoyance she had ever felt in her life. But that was Genjutsu. She could feel the power play with her chakra, messing with it. Still she fought it off. Her will would be iron, it would not be pliable to the whims of those who used that type of jutsu. Now, she would resist. She kept her attention toward the window. To learn to resists Genjutsu, the window would be all that was important in her life at that moment.

She had never been so concentrated in her life, and she had built her life around never losing focus. Nieve could not remember if she had ever held her concentration for so long since she had been training with her mother. For a long moment, time did not hold any importance. It was only her own self and her thoughts, and the window of course. Then came the water once more, it pushed her off her seat and onto the ground.

"You needed a break." Sano teased her daughter.

Three days later.

Sano Rokoku was known for many things, a talented herbalist, a medical nin the likes of which came once in a life time and also for her little clinic that was opened to the general populace of Yukigakure no sato. The clinic was where Nieve first learned medical ninjutsu, it was a place where Sano herself could practice new techniques she had developed. Nieve regularly went there when she wanted to hone her medical ninjutsu and this day was no different. As she entered the small clinic amidst the tundra, she looked toward her mother who had been tending to a man who had his ribcage opened up, only Sano's healing ninjutsu keeping him alive. Nieve sat across from her mother. "I want to learn more of the Infuin." Nieve asked. She knew how to release its chakra, she also knew how to heal her own self without her hands by releasing the chakra stored in the seal. She looked toward her mother, the woman who had taught her the technique unique to powerful medical ninja.

"Of course, one of its other jutsu's is used to heal intense injuries in others. You have come at an excellent time, Nini." Sano said with a smile. Releasing the seal, and instead of using the chakra on yourself, mix it with your healing hands technique." Sano explained. The blue haired kunoichi knew that hearing of a technique was part of the training. Both women seemed to speak as if the dying man on Sano's table was not even there. With that Nieve brought her hand's to the nameless man's chest. Focusing on her own chakra network she released the seal that was worked into the top of her forehead, hidden behind her hat. The chakra output was incredible. It was a thrilling sensation, she felt filled with the life energy of chakra gathered over several days, weeks and months. Applying this awesome amount of chakra to her hands, she let it ooze through her pores. She was used to the Mystical Palms technique, but with so much chakra, it was a completely different technique.

"The Hand of the Spirit we call it." Sano edged on her daughter to unleash more of the healing power. She lifted her hands above those of her daughter, turning her palms toward them, feeling the warmth. She nodded slowly. "Steady your output, overdoing it could have disastrous effects." Nieve nodded slowly, not wanting to break her concentration. She could see her chakra helping the wound to heal at an immensely accelerated rate. The man's chest cavity, which had been opened up for all to see slowly seemed to reach out, each side slowly stretching to meet with its opposite. Though Nieve was used to seeing gore on numerous occasions in her mother's clinic, and while she worked at the hospital. But she had never seen such healing before. And she barely even controlled it! She kept pumping the healing chakra into the wound, slowly but surely it closed before her.

She was not through. Though it was good to heal the outer wounds, the chest now shut, with barely a hint of the scar, there was still the damage that had been caused to the interior of the man's body. Whatever had caused so much damage was frightening, but Nieve could heal it! Closing her eyes she kept tapping into the chakra source that seemed to be limitless, sending more of its healing powers into the chest, slowly healing it. Sano lowered her own hands against the man's healed stomach and nodded approvingly toward her daughter, glad to see that she was getting a hang of using the healing capabilities of the Infuin Seal.

"Now you must practice it." Sano told her daughter.

Once the man was healed, he was sent to one of the small resting rooms that looked more like alcoves to Nieve than anything else. As Nieve returned her seal into its dormant state she sighed contently. Yes she had used some of its reserves, but she still had a lot left, surprisingly. It seemed as if it was easier to conserve the energy when she was using upon someone else, then when she was using it on herself. That was something interesting to note about the technique she was practising. Before she could call it a day though, Nieve was interrupted by a large banging sound against the clinic's door. A woman rushed into the clinic holding two men by the hands. "MY HUSBAND AND LOVER FOUGHT!" She cried out. Nieve gasped as she finally noticed that both men were incredibly pale and could barely stand up. One had a sword protruding from his chest cavity and Nieve knew that it was dangerously close to the heart, probably causing damage to the aorta. She grabbed him quickly, laying him down on his back before pressing her hands to his chest and releasing just like before the seal that marked her forehead. The seal's tendrils stretched along her smooth skin, crowning her eyes. She instantly released a burst of powerful healing chakra upon the area of the wound, even before removing the sword.

Somewhere in the background, the young kunoichi knew that her mother was taking care of the other man. Be him the husband or the lover, Nieve did not know. Her whole attention invest in what she was doing. The chakra that she was releasing due to her seal so immense that she could not afford to invest any attention elsewhere. The aorta was the main artery in the human body, originating from the left ventricle of the heart and extending down to the abdomen, where it split into two smaller arteries. It was incredibly important in one's circulatory system, it was the main carrier of all blood. She needed to stitch it back together using the immense reserves of the chakra at her disposal.

Nieve continuous kept pumping the healing energy into the would before reaching out, her finger wrapping around the hilt of the short sword. In one quick movement she removed the sword, casting it aside, the sound of metal against the ground vibrated throughout the clinic. She returned her hand quickly to the blood-oozing chest wound. The aorta distributed oxygenated blood to all parts of the body through the systemic circulation. It was imperative, Nieve needed to seal it shut before she could start healing the would above it. She kept channelling the healing chakra into the cut heart, slowly but surely sewing it together until it was smooth and one large veins. She lifted her hands up slightly so that she could not heal above the aorta, all the other matters of flesh and blood and was part of the body. Soon, the skin was completely mended and the man's life was now back into his hands. Nieve having handed it back to him by using the power of the Infuin Seal.

Nieve had a feeling that this day was not over. Was it a full moon?

Nieve went to a nearby counter to wash her hands and wipe her forehead. She lifted her blue hat to do so, exposing the small seal for but a moment as she did it. Strange noises came from behind. She hurriedly turned around to find her mother fallen on her backside, the man she was healing had somehow gotten his hands on the sword that she had removed from the other's chest and had thrown it into the man's throat. Nieve gasped, and the woman cried in terror. Sano hurriedly got back to her feet as she restrained the man. Nieve crossed the distance between herself and the newly injured man in a few steps. Pushing him once more down on the table, but in a way that his head and next were sideways, the blade horizontally arranged. She applied her hands to the wounds and closed her eyes, at the same time she awoke the slumbering chakra that remained hidden in the seal. The amount of chakra she was using was burning her hands up, she could feel it. But it was only to a lesser extent so she could continue, but she knew that she would require her mother's healing prowess afterwards.

Still, she could not stop. She had to save this man's life, even if he had been caught in bed with a woman who was married. She kept her pulsing hands upon the man's neck. She would still need to remove the sword from the throat, but like before, it was a very sensitive area. The man was bleeding profusely and she knew for a fact that his jugular veins had been affected. The jugular veins were veins that brought deoxygenated blood from the head back to the heart via the superior vena cava. They were some of the most important parts of the whole human body. She forced her healing chakra into the wounds, mending the veins back together. Once that was done she reached out for the sword, she could not even believe she was removing a sword from this man's body a second time in not even an hour. As she began pulling, Nieve heard her mother kicking the other man out. The woman was also forced to leave, she was a loose cannon.

The man's blood pressure had lowered to a point that was growing increasingly dangerous for the man's life. "Stay with me." Nieve called out. She had healed his heart, and she would heal his neck. She would not waste all of her training potential on him. Tapping into the stored energy within her seal she kept releasing it back into the wound. The sword fell once more to the ground and Nieve quickly kicked it away, into one of the back rooms where it would no longer be of use. She focused all of her concentration on the wound, but it became increasingly difficult to control the energy just spilling out of her hands. Soon, when she thought the man was stable she backed away from him and inspected her hands, realizing that her hands were completely burnt. The pain so intense, it numbed her to anyone around her.

"M...mommy." She whispered, reverting instantly to a little frightened girl. She felt a way she had not felt in more than a decade.

Though her hands had been burnt due to the incredible output of healing chakra, Nieve believed that she was mastering the technique. Never had she healed on such a level, so quickly. Using performing such healing took a lot of time, and was nerly impossible on the battlefield. Sano returned to the clinic to heal her daughter's hands. It was quick work. Two hours later, once Nieve had taking a break and replenished her energy, a woman stormed into the clinic, holding her son in her arms. There was blood soaking what looked like a quickly made cast on the boy's arm. It was actually a multitude of bandages piled onto a very wound. As the boy was sat down, Nieve got to work removing bandage after bandage until she realized the kid was actually missing half of his forearm, the hand got with it. Knowing fully well that there weren't many ninjutsu who could heal on such a scale, she performed the same technique she had done all day. Knowing it would take a lot of her own chakra on top of causing extreme damage to her hands, but she could not stop herself. While Sano spoke with the mother, Nieve got to work on the son's wounds, releasing the just enough chakra to stop the blood flow.

Once she had stopped the blood flow, she got to work on cellular regeneration. But multiplying the cells in the arm of the boy, she was regrowing half of his forearm and hand. It would take time, but noticing how quickly the process was going, it would take much less time than if she was using her regular chakra. In biology, regeneration is the process of renewal, restoration, and growth that makes genomes, cells, organisms, and ecosystems resilient to natural fluctuations or events that cause disturbance or damage. Every species is capable of regeneration, from bacteria to humans. Regeneration can either be complete where the new tissue is the same as the lost tissue, or incomplete where after the necrotic tissue comes fibrosis. It was a very thin line as the flesh could not be necrotic, or it would have been all for naught. At its most elementary level, regeneration is mediated by the molecular processes of DNA synthesis. Nieve was a working at an incredible small scale, healing DNA, the building blocks of life, in turn the DNA fed the cells, writing the code that aided them in the healing process, in the multiplication and regeneration of the cells, which in turn made up the organs. And this was quite an important organ she was desperately trying to grow back with her ninjutsu.


This jutsu was all about healing massive injuries, and the lost of a limb was very high on the list of injuries. Still as she kept directing her chakra into the bleeding stump of the boy's arm, and she slowly saw it grew, she finally realized the healing potential of the technique. The familiar sensation of her hands burning up returned to her. It was a sign that Nieve was doing the jutsu good. The amount of chakra she was harnessing was simply too good. The pain though spread to her body, forcing her body to spasm a few moments, but she kept on pouring her healing chakra into the arm. Soon a wrist was materialized, letting Nieve know that she had not much left. Inhaling a breath she had no idea she had been holding onto, she gave one last push, releasing all the healing energy she knew she could muster before her hands were beyond saving. Once that was done she immediately backed away to look in fascination at her handy work. The young boy jumped down from the table, testing his wrist with small movements.

"You should sit, you lost a lot of blood." Was the last thing Nieve remembered saying, or doing before she fell backwards, darkness completely enveloping her.

Nieve knew that she had been knocked out for several hours. It was all in how her body felt, of how it responded to her commands. She knew the human body well enough to gather such information just by how she felt. She sat up on the table to see that her mother was working right next to her on some files. Nieve sat up. Both women looked at each other and Nieve gave her a wordless tahnk you. Her mother responding with a knowing nod. There was never a dull moment when the Rokoku clinic was open. Another man came into the clinic, this time with kunai lining his chest in such a way that Nieve knew he had fallen on them. If it had been attempted suicide or an accident, she did not know. She led him to one of the tables, ready to use the jutsu she was practising upon him. Hovering her hands above his chest she closed her eyes and took one deep breath after and other, knowing that she would need all of her concentration to deal with such extensive injury. She did not know how a man could even walk in such a condition. She released the seal once more from its dormant state. The small diamond shape stretching upon her face to cover it like tendrils, she could feel the immense surge of chakra course through her body.

The man's lungs were affected, the kunai deep. But the injury so recent that it had yet to do too much damage. The man was barely even breathing, as surely it would worsen his current predicament. She admired his will to live, perhaps it was newly discovered. She sent the powerful healing chakra into the man's chest, sent directly toward his lungs. The lung is the essential respiration organ in many air-breathing animals, including most tetrapods, a few fish and a few snails. In mammals and the more complex life forms, the two lungs are located near the backbone on either side of the heart. Their principal function is to transport oxygen from the atmosphere into the bloodstream, and to release carbon dioxide from the bloodstream into the atmosphere. A large surface area is needed for this exchange of gases which is accomplished by the mosaic of specialized cells that form millions of tiny, exceptionally thin-walled air sacs called alveoli. They were incredibly important to human function.

She pumped the chakra into the wound, preparing it for what would come next.

There were five kunai total, they would all need to be taken out one at a time to then shut the hole up at the same time. Placing one head hand at the base of one of the kunai, she pulled it out with her other hand. At that same time she pushed the immense chakra amount into the wound, sealing it shut that very instantly. The second time around, the same thing happened, to her great delight. But the third though, something must have gone wrong while removing the kunai as blood spilled form the large hole profusely. The young Rokoku girl threw the kunai aside and pressed both hands upon the hole, pushing the chakra within the wound and feeling the cellular regeneration and multiplication, growing tissue, cartilage and skin until the hole was no more and only smooth skin remained. She sighed before resuming her work, healing each and every hole each time she removed the throwing weapon until the man was saved. Nieve's hands were burnt up, a side effect that she knew would never leave. She was stuck with it. And when the technique would be in full power, she could only imagine the type of pain she would be in.

After once more getting a powerful healing treatment from her mother, Nieve decided it was judicial to take a break. Center herself and work more on the actual seal, than the healing it gave her. Sitting down on one of the hospital beds of the clinic she crossed her legs and closed her eyes. She felt the familiar chakra drainage of the seal, as it slowly absorbed her chakra, bit by bit, never enough to affect her. She released the massive chakra energy and let it course through her body. She had master the technique that let her regenerate her own self, healing her own wounds while using the seal. Now she had been practising using that newly released chakra to heal another. She could feel her whole body fill with the chakra energy as she released the seal, letting it go into its heightened state as she accessed the immeasurable amount of chakra. For someone who put a lot of emphasis on chakra control, Nieve had to admit that it was a lot of chakra to control, and with the heightened healing the damage to her own body was quite excessive. Still healing was her second passion after all things scientific.

Once she felt she had studied more her own seal and how it worked, she got up to her feet and kept to help her mother with a man who had suffered multiple intense burns. They were to the fourth degree. A burn is a type of injury to flesh or skin caused by heat, electricity, chemicals, friction, or radiation. Burns that affect only the superficial skin are known as superficial or first-degree burns. When damage penetrates into some of the underlying layers, it is a partial-thickness or second-degree burn. In a full-thickness or third-degree burn, the injury extends to all layers of the skin. A fourth-degree burn additionally involves injury to deeper tissues, such as muscle or bone. This manès burns were to a level that Nieve had never seen before, she had never seen burns go so deep. When she applied her hands to the man's chest and sent her healing chakra into the wound, she knew instantly that the damage had gone deep to the muscle, and even sunk in some places to the bone. She applied the immeasurable amount of healing chakra to the wounds that were all over the man's chest, the skin had turned black.

She kept pumping the chakra into the whole area, slowly but surely soothing and healing the damaged tissue. The bone was even harder, she would need to slowly regenerate it first before building the tissue and muscle all around it. This healing jutsu truly was the most powerful thing Nieve had ever used, its energy coursing through the body of the knocked out victim and returning his flesh, blood and bone all to its original state. It took her the longest yet to heal all of his wounds. Sano, Nieve's mother, would sometimes put her hands a top that of her daughter, making sure that she was not overdoing and at the same time, healing up the hands of her daughter so that she could keep on. In time, the man had been stabilized and it was time to move him to one of the side rooms for him to rest.

Though Nieve had used a lot of her energies on the burnt man and he was now in stable condition, she still wanted to finish the job. She had worked on all the most intense of burns, the deep ones that seared the muscle and bones. Still the skin still needed to be healed. And so because she had been working on the Konjou no Te for the last day or so, she would use that technique once more. She opened once more the seal on her forehead, the tendrils drawing themselves upon her face, reaching out from her blue hat. For a brief moment she was filled with the chakra energy of the Infuin Seal as it released in a short burst, overcoming her body. Focusing with all of her attention she directed the healing chakra out of her hands, feeling instantly the searing heat covering her hands. That meant well, it meant that she was starting to master the technique, it was starting to hurt as it was needed. Learning the drawbacks of a technique was incredibly important, Nieve had always known that.

The powerful ninjutsu took effect as the chakra was evenly spread all over the man's painfully red chest. At this point, the burn was only to the second degree. When damage penetrates into some of the underlying layers of the skin, it is a partial-thickness or second-degree burn. In ordinary cases partial-thickness burns may require cleaning with soap and water, followed by dressings. But with medical ninjuts, all the young Yuki kunoichi had to do was feed the healing energy into the pores of the skin, slowly taking out the dead cells and regenerating and multiplying those who remained within. It was a fast process due to the burns being much less intrusive and deep than they first was. Still, she was creating new skin out of the cells of the body, it was still a very intricate technique that would take some time.

Before medical ninjutsu, if an individual had gotten burns this bad, it would have been instant amputation or removal of the burnt flesh completely. Considering WHERE the patient had been burnt, all over his chest, he would not have survived. But now due to her powerful technique, he would keep on living a normal life, the memories of the pain of the burns long gone. But the burns were so incredibly deep that they would have fried the pain receptors of the body. This was actually painless to the man. Still the first burns would have been incredibly painful before getting so deep. Still she kept pumping chakra onto his skin, slowly and surely mending it and smoothing it over until it was its usual pale color. "Finally." Nieve began. The man was still unconscious, but he would awaken to no injuries at all.

"Help, help I'm pissing blood and my body is shutting down!" A woman cried out as she entered into the clinic. Nieve ran to her side and helped her to lie down on one of the hospital beds of the clinic. Sano came to her side and helped her sit back. The woman tried to mumble what had happened to her but she was too weak and pain took over her body. Uraemia Nieve thought to herself, she instantly picked up several of the symptoms. Nausea, weakness, blood in urine, muscle cramps. This was all due to renal failure, more commonly known as kidney failure. Renal failure is a medical condition in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter waste products from the blood. The two main forms are acute kidney injury, which is often reversible with adequate treatment, and chronic kidney disease, which is often not reversible. In both cases, there is usually an underlying cause. With today's medical ninjutsu, a lot of it could be reversed or stopped in its tracts, and that was what Nieve intended to do as she pressed her hands against the woman's body, along her hips, moving slightly at an angle until her glowing hands were hovering just above where her kidneys were supposed to be. She instantly released a powerful amount of chakra directed directly at them.

Nieve widened her eyes in surprise as she noticed the problem with the woman's kidneys. They were overloaded with toxins. This forced the two vital organs into failure, and the waste the kidney was supposed to get rid of was slowly building up into the body. Nieve would need to clear up the kidneys before she could get to work on cleansing the bodies of the impurities that were building up. She of course would need much more chakra.

She unleashed the Infuin as she had been doing all day and the day before that. The directed the flow of the chakra in multiple waves. The first, was sent directly from her hands into the body in a powerful burst, trying to get rid of all the harmful toxins. The way she saw it, this was probably due to a poison. A slow poison at that. Someone was feeding her something laced with small doses of poison probably everyday. Not enough to taste or have severe symptoms, but just enough to cause irreparable damage. Still her medical jutsu could stop this, its awesome power having practically not match.

The kidneys were soon cleared as Nieve mixed her healing, beneficial chakra into the layers of flesh that constituted the small kidneys. The healed the bean-shaped organs until they were as they were at their healthiest. She sighed happily before she kept pumping more and more of the chakra into the body of the woman, this time spreading it all over to deal with the build up of waste that had come from the kidneys shutting down. She cleared all of the negative elements through the kidneys which would then be discharged through the urine of the patient. She made sure that any other problem the girl may have would also be healed until she was fully function. During her healing, the woman had passed out, Nieve made sure that she would be laying down comfortably for the remaining period of her rest.

There was never a dull moment in the Rokoku clinic. Nieve had healed many individuals with vastly different injuries. And it seemed as if her worries were definitely not over with. A man was soon brought in a wheelchair through the clinic's doors. His mouth left ajar, it was obvious that blood had been wiped off his face. A long piece of metal was actually coming out of his head and the young Yuki nin almost laughed at the whole situation. Truly this day was horrendous. Soon she learned that the piece of metal was actually a long nail, the man a construction worker. She knew that she would need some very high level healing for this to work. Releasing the power of her seal even before the man was brought to one of the operation chairs, she got ready by placing both of her hands upon his head, feeding chakra into it to stabilize his condition. Even before she could perform any surgery. The immense amount of chakra released by the Infuin seal would be invested mainly to stabilize the man.

Once she felt the bleeding had stopped, she would inspect the amount of damage. Sano did not help. She had enough confidence in her daughter to know that she would not screw this up. Still, she made sure to be close at hand if needed. Nieve removed one hand from the jutsu and reached out for the peaking out half of the nail. She took a deep breath, the metallic smell of blood thick in the air. She could not mess this up. The brain was one of the most important organs in the human body. The brain is an organ that serves as the center of the nervous system in all vertebrate and most invertebrate animals, only a few invertebrates such as sponges, jellyfish, adult sea squirts and starfish do not have a brain, even if diffuse neural tissue is present. It is located in the head, usually close to the primary sensory organs for such senses as vision, hearing, balance, taste, and smell. The brain is the most complex organ in a vertebrate's body. In a typical human, the cerebral cortex (the largest part) is estimated to contain 15–33 billion neurons, each connected by synapses to several thousand other neurons. The actual nail dug into this part of the brain. The blue haired kunoichi kept her chakra steady, directing it to the areas of the brain that were slowly shutting down, to keep them running, to keep them operational as she was doing the precise, pinpoint surgery that would hopefully go well.

Removing the nail could do more damage than just leaving there. But the complications of leaving a rusting piece of metal within the body of a human being could simply not happen. She needed to move incredibly slowly. For every half inch she made the nail retreat, she spilled an incredible amount of chakra into the opened in the head.

At this moment, what was important was to remove the piece of metal, the big healing and repair of the brain, skull and skin would have to come next. When she was halfway done with the removal of the nail, blood starting pouring out of the wound profusely, and the man's body began convulsing. Blood was likely spilling into the wound. She needed to deal with that before she could do anything else. Narrowing her concentration to the wound, she spent a lot of healing energy into the hole, ceasing the blood spilling and forcing cellular regeneration in the area. In one quick, straight, flawless movement, she removed the remaining part of the nail, casting it to the ground.

Here comes the hard part.-All she needed to do was heal the brain, skull and the skin on top of it all so that hopefully this man would have a functional life. By that point though, the man had fainted.

The damage to the brain was extensive, very much so. But the healing chakra she had poured endlessly into the wound as she removed the massive nail had helped greatly. "You can't lose any time, Nini. This is the brain." Sano, Nieve's mother, reminded her. The blue haired kunoichi nodded, knowing fully well what her mother meant. Indeed the powerful organ could not be left injured for too long or there would be irreparable damage. She did not lose a lot of time, instead instantly closing in on herself, retreating into her chakra reserves. Nieve made contact with the seal upon her forehead, releasing its chakra instantly. As the familiar chakra took over her body, filling it up with its energy, she instantly guided it to her hands as she always did. She made sure to release it in careful bursts, there was such a thing as chakra overload.

As the healing ninjutsu chakra was released into the brain, Nieve could see all the damage that had been made, and she quickly got to work closing the wound, knitting the grey flesh of the brain back together. Brain injuries often create impairment or disability that can vary greatly in severity. In cases of serious brain injuries, the likelihood of areas with permanent disability is great, including neurocognitive deficits, delusions, speech or movement problems, and intellectual disability. There could also be personality changes. The most severe cases result in coma or even persistent vegetative state. Even a mild incident can have long-term effects or cause symptoms to appear years later. Nieve could not let that happen, it was all part of the healing process. She kept her chakra steady as she forced the cells of the brain, the neurons to multiply and regenerate.

This man would return to his life, this man would live a long and happy life without any secondary effects of this mistake while working on the village construction projects. She kept her hands steady, her breathing constant. Her mother came to her side and softly applied a towel too her forehead, removing the sweat collecting there. This was a very delicate operation that Nieve knew she would not be doing a lot in her life. She could feel her life force being taken and invested into the man's own, she could feel herself tire.

She had never used so much chakra, especially not with the Infuin's unique reserves. Still she kept her focus, she could not fail. She never stopped throwing chakra into the wound, until all of the brain was whole. She got to work regrowing the bone of the skull together, closing in the hole that had been made by the steel spike. Then came the skin, it grew back to its original state, knitting itself back together. Soon there was no wound left. But they had no way of knowing if the man would be his good old self, they would only know that once he woke up. If he ever did wake up.

"I told him he should have come to the clinic much sooner!" A woman blurted out as she entered the clinic with a man limping in behind her.

The sight stopped Nieve in her tracks, she had been cleaning up around the clinic. Clenching onto the broom she eyed the new entry. The man that had been limping behind her had one leg four times the size of the other, his limping obviously caused because of that. Nieve instantly recognized the leg as incredibly swollen. "Let me guess, poisonous bite?" Nieve asked as she went to help the man install himself on one of the multiple beds of the clinic. Reaching out for a kunai, Nieve got to work slowly ripping the man's pant up. The leg was so swollen that it stretched the pants to their limits, in some places they had already begun tearing. She shook her head when she saw the sight of the violet appendage. Weaker individuals would have already thrown up. "Usually we would go for amputation, the venom has progressed to an incredible level. But with a specific technique I will be able to save the limb. But the poison is definitely in your blood, my mother will need to perform a cleansing technique while I work on the leg." Nieve explained as she retreated once more into her own body to access the medical seal. The man did not speak, he trusted the medic-nin of the clinic. As he was pushed down on the bed, Sano got to work applying chakra to his chest, while Nieve placed both of her hands on his massive thigh.

Swelling is caused by an accumulation of fluid in tissues. It can occur throughout the body (generalized swelling), or a specific part or organ can be affected (localized swelling). Though for now this man only had localized swelling, she could see the arm of that half of the body also grow in side. She applied an immense about of healing chakra to his leg, slowly but surely lessening the effects of the fluid that were filling up the tissue of his body, rendering the limb about to burst. A body part may swell in response to injury, infection, or disease. Swelling, especially of the ankle, can occur if the body is not circulating fluid well. In this case it was obviously due to the poison coursing through the man's body. She applied chakra to the bite mark, sealing it shut before returning to the whole limb, spreading the healing chakra into the limb, working it into the multiple layers of tissue, returning them to normal size. "Mom, put him under." She said. She had no choice, Nieve had to evacuate the excess liquid. Reaching out for a scalpel she began slashing long gashes along his legs, both blood and a clear liquid oozed out, to the dismay of the man's wife.

It took some time but indeed, the swelling had ceased. All that was left to do was to evacuate the poison through a blood circulation machine with some cleansing ninjutsu. Before doing that though, the Snow female nin had to heal up the numerous wounds she had been formed to inflict on the man. Placing her hands just above the several wounds she pushed chakra into them, sealing them shut one by one with the immense chakra reserves of the Infuin seal mixed in with the amazing healing potential of its technique, the Hand of the Spirit. Nieve felt her hands burning up, letting her know that she could not go on for long. That the technique was near completion. With that she slowly backed away.

It was out of the clinic and back to the tundra for Nieve as her father had asked her to come and and meet her for some one on one training. Ventisca had noticed that his daughter, though talented and versatile, had still some skills she needed to master to be a well rounded shinobi. "You need speed." Ventisca began as his daughter came to meet him in the tundra. He wore a large coat that covered half of his body, he hood lifted up, his blue hair peaking out from the massive hood. Ventisca had been standing ten meters away from his daughter. In a flash, he was now next to her, placing a hand upon his daughter's shoulder. She observed the display of speed with a jaw drop. She knew of the shunshin technique but had never seen it employed in such a way, and by her father at that. "There are two types of Shunshin, one who uses chakra, the other does not." Ventisca explained calmly as he turned to be side by side to Nieve, both of them facing the same direction. "One burst of speed that brings you instantly ten meters forward." He explained. Part of training a technique was learning about it. Its speed, limitations, distances, it was all incredibly important to know. Soon Ventisca had vanished and appeared ten meters in front of where he and Nieve had been standing.

The medic-nin nodded toward her father. She took a deep breath. Nieve would not be using the version with chakra, she would use its taijutsu variation. She launched herself forward, foot before the other at an incredible pace. Soon both feet collided with one another and she fell forward, face first in the snow. The scientist slowly helped herself back up, while she wiped her face with her large mittens. Ventisca appeared to her side instantly with an additional shunshin and offered her a hand to get up. Nieve had truly never seen her father use such speed. He was a ninjutsu master, always preaching that his control over the Ice Release was all he needed. "You can't speed up your reactions, just your speed, take a deep breath and let your body do the work." Ventisca explained to his daughter with a warm smile.

Nieve nodded and launched herself forward. She could feel the snow beneath her boots cracking under the tremendous pressure of the high speed travelling. She had been able to cross three meters with the quick travelling technique before she stopped, her legs cramping up. Her body not yet used to going so fast. Crouching down she got to work healing the seizing muscles, restoring them to their regular form. She got up to her feet, dusting herself off before she began again, throwing herself forward once more, her feet colliding with the ground at an incredible speed. She had launched herself even before Ventisca could get to her. The shunshin brought her forward close to ten meters before she stopped once more. Her body was getting used to it, no cramping. Stretching her legs once more to see that they were ready, she launched herself forward once more, teleporting out of sight and landing ten meters away. "Great work, daughter." Ventisca called out as he appeared next to her, his quick movements an breeze to him.
