(Thanks for grading this without me asking, I do quite appreciate it~ However, that one was so short because I actually wasn't finished, hence the probably unnoticeable n/f that I had put at the end of it. I had to rush to work so I wasn't able to finish it and I didn't want to lose it!)
Suiton: Tottei No Jutsu (Water Release: Art of the Breakwater)
Rank: "D," "C," "B," "A," "S"
Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The user creates a wave of water in front of them to ward off techniques from the front.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: User must know the same level of this technique as the technique they wish to affect. For the user to block a Fire and Lightning techniques, the user must know this technique one rank above the technique they wish to block.
Description: The user performs this technique right after they perform the handseals for it, the user will whip their hands up into the air and have them meet near the level of their head, creating a sort of "v" or wedge shape in the air. Once this is done, water will rise up from below the user to create this same shape. This is done just as a long or medium range technique is flying towards the user, this technique will cut the technique in half so that the two sides fall harmlessly on either side of the user. This technique works in steps, if the user wishes to cut a "D" level water technique, the user must know the "D" rank version if this technique, and so on.
Limit: Water Release
[4/60]
Seira did NOT appreciate having rocks or pebbles thrown at her, and she wasn't about to let the boy think that she did. She gave him a stern scowl until he seemed to shrivel up under her gaze. "Lesson one, kid. If it isn't a real fight, or a spar, and just simple training, you don't use cheap tricks." She crossed her arms and just frowned at him. The boy seemed apologetic, she thought. Perhaps. Maybe. She let out a small sigh and turned her back to him, using chakra around her feet so she could walk out onto the surface of the lake and better use the water within for practicing her jutsu. With a small sigh she turned around to face him again, and just shook her head. "Come on, you have to have something better than pebbles and the same jutsu." She said calmly. The boy shuffled his feet some before looking back up at her and moving over to her. "I don't know much... but I'll try to fight more fairly." And with that he stood at the edge of the lake.

Seira changed her scowl to a soft smile. Her emotions were almost as quick to change as the tides of a current. "Very good. Then hit me with your best shot, will ya?" The boy eased a bit and made a quick nod before he formed different handseals this time. Seira concentrated on the water beneath her feet, focused on the flow of the water as she made the hand seals of her own. Quickly forming them -- rather quickly since she was now quite used to the pattern of this particular jutsu -- she began the technique. She knew if this were a real battle she would have to be completely used to them. The hand seals were just as important as the rest of the technique. If she didn't make them correctly, then she wouldn't be able perform the actual jutsu. Any misstep, any accidental skipping of one, could mean her life or major failure. She would have to memorize these by heart, just like the hand seals of every other technique she had ever learned. It was important, right?
Once the seals were formed, she quickly raised her hands in the same position that she had been using from the beginning. An upside down wedge, or an upside down v shape if you will. She placed them near the level of her head so the water that would come up would be level with her. This would cause the water under her to quickly rise up from the lake and form a shape very much like the one her hands were in. And so the water did, creating a wall in front of her that would shield her from attacks of the same strength or below. As the water rose from the lake, the opposing boy finished whatever technique of his own that he was performing. With quick speed, she honestly hadn't expected what would be coming next. the boy had formed some kind of "water missile" type jutsu. The little bullets struck her wall of water and just seemed to come right through it, as if it wasn't even there. She was quickly able to determine that the strength of it was certainly higher than her current level of jutsu. Before she was even able to react to it, several bullets came through and struck her, completely making her lose her concentration as her hands came apart and the water wall in front of her dropped back into the lake with a loud SPLASH! and settled down after a moment.
Seira lost her balance and fell to the... ground? Fell to the surface of the lake, causing her to not only lose her defense, but slip into the water as well. With a momentary spaz she quickly regained her control and climbed back onto the top of the lake to look at her "opponent" incredulously. The boy seemed quite pleased with himself now that he had successfully broken it... without the use of any cheap tricks to boot. "I did it! I actually broke through! Your wall isn't strong enough!" he taunted her. Seira twitched a bit, now completely soaked through to the skin, and let out a small, frustrated sigh in the frigid morning air. "Very well... you won that time. But I'm not done yet. Not until I can block whatever you just did. Understand? That means I want you to keep trying!" Okay, so she could be a bit demanding at times, but the boy seemed more than eager to please at this point.
