Marii then unfolded her world map to check where her current position was. 'I just exited the village...I should be here' thought the young woman.

Her animal companions were sitting on a small stone nearby. 'Right then. I suppose the route here will be the fastest one to the harbour' concluded the Sannin.
"All right you two! Let's get going" stated the female with a grin as she laid her items back in her field pack.

She then did a chakra-powered jump with Shiori in her heels. Daiki was gliding 100 feet in front of them. 'I hope the village will grant me entrance or at least send me the documents to their embassy' thought the brunette.
Kirigakure was a safe village, so the family papers would be safe there. Especially since they actually had Kazeraikou members themselves.

Her eyes scanned the forest in front of her. It seemed like the nature was coming to life again since the warmer season was here. 'Better buy a compass once I get to Mizu no Kuni...should get me out of trouble' concluded the female.
She narrowed her eyes a little. Was the blue area in front of her a lake or the coastline?

'YES!' thought the female with a grin when she got a bit closer. That blue area was actually a glimpse of the coastline of Kaminari! She continued to tree jump for a while before she hopped down at the ground.
Marii then jogged towards the busy harbour with her animals in her heels. 'Phew...looks like I'm ten minutes early' realized the young woman.

She then reached the ticket booth. "One Sa-Jounin to Mizu no Kuni please" told the Sannin. The clerk nodded before she handed her a ticket.
"Thanks" told the female after picking up the ticket. She then headed for the speed ferry that was at pier 5.

Daiki was flying above her while Shiori laid over her shoulder like a brown furry scarf. There weren't many people aboard...traveling early was an advantage. "Attention all passengers. We're leaving in five minutes" informed a voice over the intercom.

'Maybe I should just relax a little' decided the brunette. She sat down behind an unoccupied table that was next to a window. Five minutes later, the vehicle started to move.
She spotted her other animal companion sitting at the rail outside the window. Too bad Cooper hawks were not considered as 'legal travelling companions' at ships like these.

The female picked up a book from her field pack after giving her small animal companion a piece of fish. 'Should keep her occupied for now' thought Marii as she opened her book.
It took about two hours until the boat started to slow down. She peeked out of the window...it looked like Mizu no Kuni was right ahead.

"Attention all passengers. We're now approaching Mizu no Kuni. Please make sure to take your belongings with you.
We hope you had a pleasant journey with Kaminari ferries and have a nice day" announced the voice at the intercom. The young woman closed her book while the Havana brown woke up from her slumber.

Both of them went towards the exit were a small group of people were gathered. The boat slowed down and came to a full stop. It did not take long until the exit was opened.
Everyone walked out of the ship without any hassle, including the shinobi duo. 'Pretty sure the capital is this way' thought the Sannin as she started to walk on the main road.

'Better find some herbs that I can send to the other villages. It's the right season for most herbs, so that should be easy' thought Marii. She wrote up a list of herbs she wanted to find after visiting the capital.

Her map was laid on the floor right next to a kunai. Both of her hands did a number of hand seals before the kunai suddenly spun half-way. 'OK. Guess I'm going that road in order to get to Mashimizu' observed the young woman.
She started on her walk to the capital after packing down her stuff.

Shiori walked right next to her while Daiki flied above them. It was decent weather today, all though a bit foggy. Her senses were on a slight alert as she walked up a small hill.
'Should not take me too long to get there. I managed to cover some of the distance yesterday' thought the Sannin as she reached the top of the hill.

"All right! Looks like I made it" muttered the female as she reached the top of the hill. She had a clear view of the landscape and could clearly see the large city ahead of her.
Marii jogged towards the capital with both of her animal companions behind. This should hopefully not take too long since it had been two months since her Yukigakure visit.

'Maybe I should find a decent place to stay in the suburban area. It will take me at least a day to complete my herb search' thought the young woman. The spring meant that several rare herbs would be in bloom.
'I wonder how many I should send to Yukigakure as well as Konohagakure. I know the former village is in need of some hardy ones, yet easy to care for' pondered the Sannin as she approached the capital.

She showed her ID to the ANBU that was on guard. The female was given the clear to enter as soon as they had been given the clear. 'First stop is the embassy. Then, I need to buy myself a decent compass plus some gifts to my team' thought the brunette. She had not given any of them a gift for protecting the village or passing the Chuunins...which was a bit embarrassing.

"Ninpo! Kage bunshin no jutsu!" muttered the female while she did the familiar handseal. Five identical clones of herself popped out of the thin air.
"All right girls, listen up. We have a list of herbs to find that are somewhere in this region" told Marii.

"We're going to split up in six directions to cover this field a lot easier. I'm going to search in the south-east part. Number one is going to the eastern direction. The second kage bunshin will look for herbs in the south-western part.
Number three is going to search in the south while the fourth clone is going to the west. Last but not least is you...the north-west should be your part" told the Sannin.

"The three of us who are going south or east will search for the floure de luce. The other three of you have to look for the dandelions. Any questions?" inquired the young woman.
All of the kage bunshins shook their heads. "Great...let's get going then!" stated the brunette with a wide grin.

Six identical looking young women then spread out in different directions in the search for the herb. 'A floure-de-luce is not TOO difficult to find I think. But where should I start!?
This field is HUGE!' thought Marii as she looked around. Her animal companions were watching over them from either above or the west.

'Maybe I should start to look near the slightly swampy areas first. The herb should not be too hard to spot since it's purplish-blue' remembered the female. She walked over towards the swampy area that was at the south-eastern part of the field.
Ice blue eyes scanned the green lush grass for any hint of blue or blue-purple. The Sannin saw that the other two kage bunshins had started their search a bit closer to the forested area...which wasn't a bad idea.

Her other three clones on the other hand were looking for yellow flowers. Dandelions had bright golden yellow flowers when they were in bloom. But the downside was that they were not very tall.
'At least the grass is not very high. We would be in for a lot more trouble if it was' thought the second kage bunshin as she turned her head slightly.

Suddenly, she spotted a yellow flower close to a small stone. The clone walked over to see what kind of herb that was. 'It has the right height requirement for starters. But I wonder if the flower type is correct. It looks a little big...but maybe it's just a very healthy plant' thought the young woman.

Effect: The kage bunshin no jutsu (shadow clone jutsu) is a increased and stronger form of the regular bunshin jutsu which is a mere genjutsu. Kage bunshin allows the clones to actually inflict damage upon the opponent, They can even use jutsu for they carry their own chakra circulatory system, making it even impossible for the Hyuuga clan members to tell them apart from the original.
Each clone that the user makes divides his/her chakra up evenly between them making ten clones means each clone has one tenth the original users chakra supply. The clones are real enough; they even bleed when cut but when inflicted with enough damage the clone disappears. Special: A special handsign where the user crosses the two first fingers of each hand making a cross.
Drawback: The average user can only make about 5 clones. Excessive use of the clone jutsu can leave the use extremely low on chakra. When the clones are destroyed the user does not get a return in chakra.
Description: The kage bunshin is an exact replica of the user and can not in anyway be proven to be a copy not even by the most elite of jutsu. Unless they are taken to the test and actually harmed.

"I found one too! This one is a bit smaller though" shouted the third kage bunshin while she held up her catch.

"Awesome, both of you. Lay it in a plastic bag. We're going to search for a more rare herb this time" informed the female while she waved her arm.
All three of them gathered in a small circle. "We're going to look for the cow parsnip now...make sure you don't confuse it with carrots" told Marii with a small smile.

Her clones chuckled a little while they tried to remember the name. "We'll keep looking for this herb in the same directions as earlier. Good luck girls" told the young woman.
The trio spread out again and tried to find the new herb. 'This one will be harder to find since there's no strong colour on it...but it's tall at least' thought the Sannin.

'Huh?' thought the female as she spotted a tall herb that stood close to a bush. She took a few steps closer to inspect the herb. Could this be the cow parsnip she looked for?
'It has the right height at least. This one is even taller than I am!' observed the brunette with a smile.

Meanwhile, the second kage bunshin was smiling in joy. She had actually found a nice specimen of the dandelion! The young woman laid it in a plastic bag after digging it up.
"How's it going over there?" shouted the fifth kage bunshin. "I found one just now" informed the clone.

"Great! But we still have one more to go. Keep looking" told the other female with a satisfied smile.
The trio were searching through the lush greenery in an attempt to find another dandelion. After all, three pairs of eyes were certainly better than one.

'Hn?' thought the fourth kage bunshin when she saw something yellow poke up from behind a tree trunk. She decided to investigate and walked a little closer.
'That MAY be a dandelion judging from the flower. It has the right height at least' observed the young woman. She pulled out a kunai while she walked slowly towards the tree...it could possibly be a trap too.

'WHOA. That was NOT what I had expected!' thought the fourth kage bunshin when she looked behind the tree. She saw two decently sized flowers that looked like the herb they searched for.
"I found two over here!" yelled the female after she had dug up the two flowers. The other two clones gave her a thumbs up.

"What should we search for next?" inquired the second kage bunshin. "Let's see...there are a couple rare one at this list. Maybe we should look for those" suggested the fifth kage bunshin.
The other three nodded while they spread out again. Starting their search before the others could be an advantage since they would know the terrain better.

'A black rose should be easy to find in terms of colour. But it won't be easy to find it though. It's one of the rarest herbs that is after all' thought the female as she brushed aside a branch.
Light blue eyes scanned the field. Were there any black flowers around that could match the requirements?

Neither of the kage bunshins at the western end of the field had any luck so far. 'KAAAMI! WHY do we have to look for something that's so difficult to find!?' mentally screamed the fifth kage bunshin.
She looked at the flowers that were in front of her. All of them were either pink or white...none of them were black.

"Have you found anything?" called the kage bunshin at the north part of the field. "No. Maybe we should look in the sunny areas near the marsh over there" suggested the other young woman.
"Good idea" told the kage bunshin before they went over to the said area. Maybe they would have better luck over there?

'Bah. That's not the one I'm looking for' thought the female when she inspected the tall plant a little closer. It had light yellow flowers instead of the white ones that cow parsnip had.
"I found one!" shouted the third kage bunshin in joy. Marii looked over and saw the other young woman pointing at a six feet tall plant with white flowers.

"Great job! I'm going to search a bit closer to the center of this field" informed the young woman. She walked towards the said location with her eyes focused on any of the tall plants.
'At least I know what to look for now...that should make it easier. That should save us some time' pondered the Sannin.

Both of her kage bunshins had shifted their locations a little too. Number three was looking at the more sparse places while the first one had moved to the edge of the forest.
Such big plants would require a lot of sunlight as well as nutrition. Perhaps moving away from the dense areas would result in a more successful search?

"WHOA" muttered the female when she saw a huge cow parsnip near the edge of the forest. She jogged towards the herb while she prepared a kunai to dig it out. 'If it wasn't for the trunk, I would have needed a sword to remove that thing!!!' thought Marii as she dug out the herb.
"I found one!" shouted the first kage bunshin in joy. "I found one too!" informed the third kage bunshin.

"Great job girls! I think we should start to look for the-". "GUYS! COME OVER HERE!!!" screamed two of the kage bunshins. Thank Kami the field was a supervised area...that scream alone would have attracted a lot of unwanted attention.

"What is it!?" inquired the young woman as she approached the duo. "You won't believe it! Look at THIS!" exclaimed the fourth kage bunshin while she pointed on a rose bush.
The Sannin gaped at the sight. It was a rose bush that had black roses on it and they were in bloom.

"Whoa...incredible. Let's dig it up" muttered the female. The six shinobis would then start their search for the quessel.
"We're going in different directions this time. The kage bunshins with odd numbers will cover the south-east, south plus the south-west" started the brunette.

All three of them nodded in agreement prior to leaving the group. Keen eyes searched the environment for this rare herb. "Are you guys sure that we're on a high enough altitude?" inquired the third clone.
"Yeah, we're at the top of Oinari hill after all. It's one of the taller places on this island" told the other young woman.

Both of the clones then continued towards the places that provided a bit of shadow. Plants that were found at higher altitudes usually had to sustain less light due to the clouds. Which was especially true considering what kind of nation this was.
'This country is a bit scary. All that fog makes me a bit anxious...no wonder the shinobis from this island are vary' thought the female.

Kage bunshin number one was searching the small clusters of flowers with similar colours. An yellow herb could easily hide itself among similar plants. Ice blue eyes studied the plants while trying to remember the pictures in the book.
'This is going to take a while. There are some herbs that are too big, but the rest are not far off the descriptions' observed the young woman.

"Where are we going?" inquired kage bunshin number two. "You'll go to the north-east. I'll go in the north-west while you go north" told the brunette.
They split up moments later in order to improve their search. Hopefully, they would find this herb soon.

'Kami-sama...this is hard work. But at least the-'. She then spotted a yellow flower that was not too far away.
Her eyes looked down at the photo in her book. 'Crap, that herb is too small' noticed the female while she pulled a face.

Her other two helpers were checking out their assigned areas. They were densely populated by flowers, including yellow ones. But then was the question to find the right one.
Neither of them had found one that met their requirements yet. Most of them were either too small or had a shade that was too pale or coppery in one case.

"Do you have any luck over at yours?" inquired the fourth kage bunshin. "Nah. I have just started a search in a flowerbed of some sort. How're you doing?" replied the second one.
"Not too good. We just have to keep looking I suppose" said the female as she stepped over a fallen branch.

Some sun light peeked through the clouds above. The first kage bunshin smiled since this would make it easier for them. "Have you found something that looks like the quessel yet?" inquired the third kage bunshin.
"Not yet. This herb is a pain in the neck in terms of searching" replied the female.

She returned to her search while the other young woman was looking behind a couple of trees. Her eyes widened a little when she saw some yellow plants between two birch trees. 'Let's see if there is a match here' thought the third clone as she approached the plants.
Ice blue eyes looked down at the flowers to see if they fitted the criteria. 'At least they're at the right height for starters' observed the female.

Marii saw her clone disappear between some trees...maybe she had spotted something. 'I hope we find it soon' thought the young woman as she stretched her neck a little. She saw some pale lemon yellow flowers close to the swampy area.
A smile formed at her face since this could be the herb they were looking for. The Sannin walked over to the area, crossing her fingers that this was a match.

"Have you guys seen anything?" yelled the female while she looked over at kage bunshin number one. "Not yet. We're going to check the flowers over there" replied the other female as she pointed towards the marshy area.
"All right! Good luck then!" told the brunette after stepping over a puddle.

Clone number one and clone number three were about to check some flowers that were close to the marsh. They thought it would be a good idea since they had found the black rose in a similar environment. "What colours did the flowers have again?" inquired the young woman.
"They were pale lemon yellow. But the herb is not that big though" informed the other female as they approached the marsh.

Meanwhile, the last kage bunshin was looking through a small cluster of flowers she had just found. There were a high number of small yellow flowers there. 'I think this flower could be a quessel...but I better check the flower shape' decided the young woman.
She bent down to get a better take on the height of this plant. Could their search have come to an end?

'NO WAY. I better check it again!' thought the fifth kage bunshin after she had inspected the herb. She looked at the flowers again after the height had been controlled.
"GUYS! I FOUND ONE RIGHT HERE!" announced the young woman while she waved her right hand in the air.

"Great job! Get it in a plastic bag" told the female with a huge smile on her face. She bent down in one knee to inspect the plant a little closer.
A part of her felt a little bummed since she had not found any herbs yet. Maybe this one would be her lucky winner?

Marii checked the height as well as the flower up against the image she had seen in a book about herbs. A huge smile formed on her face when the plant in front of her matched the criteria. "I found one over here too!" shouted the young woman.
Her kage bunshins gave her some praise before she dug up the plant. 'Looks like I got all I need now' thought the Sannin while she checked her list.

All of the clones then gathered in the centre of the field. "AWESOME job girls! Let's give each other a high five after we've laid the herbs in my backpacker" told the young woman.
They laid the plants in the backpacker while the biggest ones had to be carried. All of the kage bunshins were then cancelled out since they had finished up their job.

"Time to go home guys" stated the brunette as she hoisted the backpacker up on her shoulders. Both of her animal companions then followed her back down from the big hill. She took out her compass as well as her map to find where their current location was.
'We're here right now...I have to take the small road here first. I then have to take the main one that goes to the port' observed the female.

She found the path after some tree jumping. They were going to take the night ferry since they were tired after the traveling. Marii was now jogging at the small path with Shiori right behind.
Daiki soared above them with a keen look at their surroundings. It did not take long until the small road reached a crossroad.

'Port is to the right. That matches with the map' concluded the young woman after she had checked the map one more time. She started to jog again after she had laid the map plus the compass back in her field pack.
Half an hour later, the trio were at the port. The Sannin went to the ticket booth to buy a ticket.

"One ticket for the night ferry to Kaminari no Kuni please. I would like to sleep in a second class cabin for one" informed the female. "That'll be 180 ryo" told the woman. She handed her the money before she boarded the ferry.

Her cabin was just the right size for one person. 'Good thing I upgraded my cabin' thought the brunette as she opened the window. Her animal companion flied in moments later while the ship started to move.
All three of them went to bed an hour after they had eaten some dinner. It was time to get some rest after the hard work.

'Hnnnn...what time is it?' wondered the female as she woke up. She glanced at her wrist watch. It was 08:30 AM.
'We're going to be at the harbour soon. Better get going' thought Marii as she got out of the bed.

She put on her clothes before she packed her items. Both of the animal companions were eating some canned fish. The trio then left the room when the ferry stopped.
"Attention all passengers. We've now reached the harbour in Kaminari no Kuni" told a voice over the intercom.

The young woman went down to the entrance area and exited the ship. She then started on the journey back home to Kumogakure no Sato. 'I wonder how my students are doing' pondered the Sannin.
She had not seen the trio in three or four months. But they were apparently alive since nobody had reported their death or disappearance to her.

'I bet Raika-san is training for his Chuunin exam. Not sure what Katsu-kun is doing. But I'm sure that Okuda-kun is doing his best to pass the ANBU requirements' thought the female.
She saw the familiar mountain chain in the distance and checked the surroundings. Neither Daiki or Shiori seemed to have seen or heard anything out of the ordinary.

'Hm. Looks like we're good' observed the brunette before she jumped into the forest. It did not take long until the trio were gone.
They then entered the labyrinth that would take them to the gates. Hopefully, the three travellers would get the all-clear.

Hazel eyes looked down at the compass as well as the map to check if everything was all right. 'Looks good to me. Time to get going I suppose' thought the female as she laid the items back in her field pack.
She started to jump from tree to tree with her animal companions right behind. Her baggage consisted of her field pack, hip pouch, wire reel plus her kunai holster.

'I hope there are some Genins or medics that are interested in becoming herbalists in Yukigakure. Especially since they have a pretty harsh climate up there' recalled Marii.
The nation on the northern island was quite isolated with lots of snow and sub zero degrees. This would without a doubt make it harder for plants to grow.

Hopefully, that was about to change when she had given them the basics. 'I'm sure they have people up there that are better on the climate thing than me. Or at least I hope there are' thought the young woman as she hopped down towards the ground. She had seen the harbour just a bit further ahead of her. Daiki slowed down while Shiori hopped onto her back packer.

The Sannin went straight towards the harbour where the catamaran ferry awaited her. "One Jounin ticket to Yuki no kuni please" told the female once she reached the ticket booth. "That'll be 70 ryo" replied the male. She handed him the money and entered the ferry moments later.

Her smallest animal companion remained still in her backpacker while the bigger one was probably sitting on the deck. It did not take long until the vehicle started to move. The fake dark blonde started to read the texts she would use during her presentation.
She was actually partially responsible for making sure the next herbalists in Yukigakure got the education they needed. And good herbalists were not very common in most villages.

'Better review my presentation material as well as my lesson plan' decided the young woman after studying her texts. Once she had revised her material, the boat started to slow down. Marii looked outside to see how far they had gotten. She smiled once she saw the island in front of them. It would not take long until her first destination had been reached.
